The food is always delicious and hot. The staff are very friendly. If you find that a certain pizza that you want is not on the buffet just let a staff member know and they will make sure to put an order in and deliver some to you. We also love the arcade. Affordable prices for game play.

Went here for a lunch buffet, and we have been have been here a few times over the years. I like to give places a try again if it has been a year or two since I last stopped in. The price was fair (these days anyway) for what you get. $16 for a buffet and drink.

The food is thoroughly average. The fried chicken is the best thing they have there and it isn't Popeye's quality, but it is a little better than what you would find at a place like Pick 'n Save. The pizza is consistently bad. Think slightly above a Jack's frozen pizza. The sides (corn, stuffing, etc.) all obviously come from off brands and are technically cooked.

The crew there are friendly and polite. Nothing bad to say here. Managers seem fine.

The atmosphere is terrible though. The music was playing so loud today that my wife and I had to constantly raise our voices just to hear each other across the table. And the tables for seating are close enough together that you can't have two people walking down an aisle.

Every time I come here, it reminds me of why I don't come here.

Was just here on Sunday 8/17 and saw the girl working the register grab pizza with her bare hands from the buffet, lick her fingers when she was done eating (right behind the register), and then proceed to keep touching the screen, and go back for more pizza, again, using her bare hands.

Not once did she wash her hands.

If this is what's happening right up front with customers around, what's happening in the kitchen? Not very keen on coming back if this is how sanitation is being handled.

Aside from that, the food was decent - hot, and about what you can expect for the price, but I definitely lost my appetite when I saw that I was getting a side of spit and unwashed hands with my pizza.

Bought a 'surprise dinner meal' through the too good to go app, which supposes itself as a platform that is revolutionizing sustainability etc etc. Well I get there and there is a person literally throwing multiple uneaten pizzas into the trash. I eventually get the attention of a manager who has the guy stop momentarily and behind the counter selects several random slices to complete my 'surprise box' then has the guy proceed with throwing out the rest of the perfectly good food.

Tldr; make no mistske this app isnt about being green or not wasting food, it just another greedy corporation trying to wring a few more dollars out of it's customer base.

All your employees busy visiting. 1 emplyee off work had to tell kitchen to come out. Your pickled beets were either old or frozen. The young lady picked one up and said they ben. Turned down your cooler. Did not other new ones. All the hot. Food was light warm. They were not checking temps or keeping things full to eat. This is my first time here and not impressed for the money, or the customer service. Also the girl with the beets was very unprofessinal. I ate between lunch and dinner, it should not matter what time. You can hear them talking very loud from kitchen and laughing.

Pizza Ranch is not in our area, so it has become kind of a tradition when we visit family out of state. It is a favorite among the kids and teens. There is always a good variety of pizza, along with a salad bar, chicken and other hot foods, and a dessert bar. Can't go wrong bringing kids here for a lunch or dinner!

Since the new owners have taken over this location in Sun Prairie, the service, the help, have gone to hell!! We decided to give it one more try and went on Father's Day, we treated our 2 adult kids, their spouses and our grandson here for the occasion. Right off the bat, the floors were filthy, half the tables were not clean, the same 3 guys who are supposed to ble wiping off the tables, cleaning floors, were all huddled in a corner talking and looking on their phones. My husband and I got there first and we asked the guys if we could put some tables together for our group, one guy said no problem and he went back to talking to the other servers.
Again most if the tables were not cleaned , so we put them together, but there was food, napkins and stuff on the floor so I asked if someone could clean under them for us. One guy came over, did a half ass job and left to the servers corner (now there are 4 of them in the corner doing nothing). The pizza and chicken were actually ok this time.
After we were done eating, we thought we'd take our grandson over to the arcade area, we started to go into one where 2 can sit and play, but I one of the servers happened to be in it eating icecream!! Our family will NOT be going to the Sun Prairie location .

I see May 20th ice cream machine was not working and now it's May 30th and it still is not working. You must be aware because you brought out frozen ice cream cups. Very hard for a child to eat. It was 6 PM and out of chicken and several types of pizza. My worst experience ever at a PR. I feel like I wasted most of the 81.79 plus you charged me $1.79 merchant fee. But I still left a $10 tip because it's not the workers fault, it yours.

Pizza Ranch, your chicken is seasoned perfectly. However, it’s cooking too fast.Thus is the 3rd time I have come to your establishment in a matter of a couple of months and that chicken has been the same each time. You can tell by the dark color of the skin and it is really light pink on the inside. It’s cooking to fast and should have a beautiful brown color to it. For as hard and dark as the outside is one would think it is overcooked, but the inside tells me it’s undercooked on temperatures too high. Turn the fire down a notch or two and allow it to cook 2 or 3 minutes longer. I know you all may reply to this talking about how you’re following health guidelines, but take it from this country girl who’s been frying chicken her whole life. Absolutely no pink meat should be in the meaty part of that chicken. Another indication that the chicken is undercooked or cooking too fast is when I bite into a breast that doughy uncooked flour should not be there. I really hope you all work on this. Chicken is one of the most important items on your menu. Other than that the service is great and other items on your buffet are decent. It didn’t use to be this way. Not sure what gas happened to the chicken or if management has changed, but that’s chicken is absolutely not what my family and I know Pizza Ranches chicken to be and we’ve been customers for 7 years. We all agree the chicken isn’t properly cooked.

New owners and management is definitely a bonus and much appreciated.

However, we visited this location recently on a Saturday an hour and 45 minutes before closing. We sat our drinks on a table and went to get our food. When we came back two ladies were vacuuming and moving tables and chairs around. I went to set my plate down on our table when one of the employees started pulling chairs away from our table and vacuuming under it.

Very annoyed, we picked up our drinks and plates and moved to the other side of the dining area to a booth.

Not long after, one of the same employees with the vacuum came over and started asking people to vacate their tables and booths so she could vacuum under them.

This is incredibly rude and obnoxious. Fortunately, she thought better of asking me to move as this would have caused us to move to a 3rd table for HER vacuuming convenience.

Instead, her and a co-worker vacuumed the tables around us, and took frequent breaks sitting down at empty tables and playing with their phones.

Eventually, they succeeded at emptying that whole side of the dining area and blocked it off with chairs and gave us disapproving looks. Also, at one point, one them began letting out exaggerated coughs repeatedly and then looking at us.

It was very clear we were in her way AGAIN.

I am disappointed as Pizza Ranch usually waits until close to start vacuuming. This behavior by staff was rude and intrusive.

I could have saved myself 43 bucks and just ate at home while I had the vacuum running next to my table instead.

We go to pizza ranch all the time but this was the first time at this location. When we arrived there was not much to choose from and what we did try tasted old and gross. We decided to go into the arcade to give them a chance to get fresh food out. There we found that our card we have credits on doesn’t work at this location so we had to purchase and load a new card. New food was put out so we went to try the fresh food which somehow still tasted old and awful. Gave up on pizza and tried the desserts and they tasted like raw dough. Will definitely skip this location from now on.

I have never left a restaurant more disgusted with the employees and management as I was tonight. I took my 5 year old to the men's restroom to find the only stall door occupied. I could clearly see through the crack that no one was sitting down using the restroom so I looked under the stall and saw a pair of feet leaning against the wall, not using the restroom. When I tried the handle again, a worker opened it up asking if I was "Good". I said "Yeah, are you good? My son needs to use the bathroom and you clearly weren't using it." The employee responded by putting his finger about 2 inches from my face telling me not to worry about what he's doing in the bathroom and to mind my own business. When I pushed his finger out of the way, he got into my face and asked what I'm going to do about it. My son later told me this part really scared him. I told him nothing except talk to his manager about it. When I finally got the chance to speak with the General Manager of the place, she totally brushed it off and said she'd speak with him about it. Not a single apology of any sort was giving. When my wife went up to telling her she was very upset about what went down and especially in front of our son, the manager simply responded, "Yep, I talked with him about it." Again, no apology or remorse of any sort. In fact, we both left feeling as if WE had done something wrong. NOT okay Pizza Ranch, we won't be visiting your establishment for a very long time.

I've probably been to 9-10 Pizza Ranch locations in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa and this has to be close to the top of the list for best ones. They didn't judge me for eating a lot (that's what buffets are for!). The staff were friendly, food was fresh. I'm sure cactus bread is either a standard recipe or maybe they even get it in frozen and heat it up but for some reason it just tastes better at this location. I'm not from the area but I'll be sure to come back next time I'm around Madison.

We received our order as a carry out. It was our monthly treat for our family. Why dine in at all?

2pm Saturday, everyone's paying $18.99 plus a "merchant fee" to dine in. And here's the state of dish offerings. The salad bar is woefully sad these days, no more soups, the condiments toppings were just empty for most of my meals, ice lettuce salad mixes only. Where are all the pizzas? One family was waiting for 20 min for bread sticks. No more staff going to take pizza orders from the customers.
Luckily, the chicken bin was refilled and we have at least that to eat.

First off I'm a pizza ranch fan. This location sucks. Rude lady at register. 2 pizzas on the buffet that looked old and they were busy being 12pm on a Sunday. No legs with the chicken. The place was dirty as well.

Now normally I wouldn't be to up set but when you pay $39 for an adult and a 12 year old I expect more.

For less then $39 I can get better food for the 2 of us.

If kids pricing was till there 14 I'd go back but I paid $19 for some pasta, a few cucumbers and 2 small slices of pizza for 12 year old.

I was pleased with everything they had and the staff and owners Tom and Erin are always very friendly.We will miss Tom and Erin immensely as we have always considered them as family as well as the staff.Today was our last day coming to this Pizza,Ranch on Jan.1,2025.Our "family" Tammy,Gwen and Rosa are no longer there and the atmosphere isn't that great.We had been coming here with our Veteran's group every week for over 10 years when Tom and Erin Lenning owned it.Today the salad bar was pretty flimsy on toppings for salad,the lettuce had nothing in it,hardly any pizza and the chicken was very dry and hard to chew.The staff wasn't friendly like Tammy,Gwen and Rosa and have yet to meet the new manager.Tom and Erin introduced themselves the first time we were there as well as Tammy,Gwen and Rosa.We were family and we will always Love and Miss them immensely.

I ordered an eight piece chicken for me and my family about two weeks ago. When I went to pick it up it had taken a while for the employees to even come to the drive-up window. When they did I guess they mixed up my cactus bread and upgraded me to a bigger one which was nice. But when we started eating at home the pieces of chicken still had a bunch of feathers attached. I’m not talking like one or two feathers that may have been overlooked by the cook, I mean this bird could’ve got up and flew. It was disgusting and disappointing because their chicken is really good usually and we love eating at Pizza Ranch. When I called in to report this (with hopes in getting a refund or at least a store credit) the guy who answered offered me a replacement chicken which was redeemable as long as I left my phone number and then called in later (to my understanding). Today I tried calling in and redeeming said chicken, the employee helping me couldn’t find note of me or my phone number anywhere. She was pretty helpful and I understand it wasn’t her fault at all. This was just overall extremely disappointing since whenever I’ve dinned-in the food is always delicious and I though carry-out would have been just as good.

Honestly, I was surprised for how this place was. 1st time yesterday with a friend. First off they have not enough food for a buffet. A super small selection of pizza and wings and salad bar? Really? Ur barely a buffet. Went the other day and the food just wasn't being filled up. While good quality, the pizzas that got cleared just sat there, there wasn't much sauce in the salad bar. Honestly, bummer experience and the food was okay. There are definitely better buffets in the general area but it wasnt a deal breaker. Employees were nonchalant and the food was mediocre, there wasnt a great pizza selection as i had hoped.

There was literally no food today. The pizza station was empty, and the pizza I requested never came, so after an hour I gave up on it. Half the salad toppings were out so I had a salad with a few toppings for my meal. No desserts at all except ice cream machine which my kid doesn't like. We come to pizza ranch every two weeks and today I have never felt more ripped off. We spend a lot of money each time we go on the meal and arcade, and today I just threw money away and left a buffet hungry.

I realize this place is under new ownership, so I get it if the place has some opportunities. Slow service, dining area a bit dirty, buffet out of items. What bothered me most was seeing employees being treated poorly by the leadership team. Without detail, I only can say I saw what I thought was the new owner or GM belittle her staff publicly. Are you short-staffed? I can clearly tell why. I will never ever come back to this Pizza Ranch that's for sure. Thankfully I live closer the the Beaver Dam location, those guys always treat me right!

My wife and I stopped yesterday food was good but watching the girl clean tables she'd pick up dishes but never wiped any tables down. Pretty disgusting we had to wipe a table off just to eat

Good chicken and mashed potatoes. Beautiful salad bar. Pizza is okay. Kind of funny since it is called Pizza Ranch. It was very busy but they kept up well, nice hot food and plenty of it. The only place they fell down was with the dessert pizza, only half a tray of apple pizza, and no cherry. Darn!

Tonight wasn't the best visit. I don't think it was staffed well enough because the salad bar was completely bare and lacked good options like I usually experience. I had to dig black olives and tomatoes out of the lettuce just to get what I wanted. The ranch was gone and needed refilling. All of the pizza options were covered in BBQ sauce so I wanted to make a request but could not find an employee who wasn't busy. The kid on register was really slow and had a huge line so I didn't want to interrupt him. I finally found an employee but I don't think she spoke English because she went into the kitchen to fetch another employee. Kids were running around and no one told them to slow down. I nearly dropped my plate because of how many kids were darting around as if it's a playground. Yes this is a parent issue but you'd think employees would ask them to not disrupt other diners. Our visit before this one was vastly different. The salad bar was perfect and had great options and there was many options for pizza so I didn't need to request anything. Plus the crowd was way more respectful. I really feel like the staff wasn't at their best tonight.

Haven't been to Pizza Ranch in awhile so tonite we thought we would give it another try. Bad idea...salad bar empty, 2 pizza options, no chicken for more than 20 minutes, and no fish. Ice cream machine didn't work lots of upset kids!! Definitely was not worth $16.99. Employees walking around but no one filled buffet. Won't be returning anytime soon

Horrible day at Pizza Ranch.. food was empty over and over.. salad bar was a mess and food scattered everywhere. No tables were clean and ice cream machine was broken to add to the misery of lunch today. I will never come back to this location again!!! Hopefully when the Verona location opens again it will be better then this one.

Besides the buffet, we love that we can have them make pizzas of our choice and they bring them to our table. Gwen is an AMAZING waitress!! Always hard working and very friendly! She deserves a raise and a promotion!

The staff is absolutely amazing. Lenny, Nikki, Gwen and all the staff exceeded expectations of customer service. In this world now a days it is very rare to be able to experience good customer service. Food is always amazing! Bathrooms are clean. One of mine and my families favorite places to go.

The reason we choose Pizza Ranch was because of a birthday celebration. We were treated to delicious pizza and salad bar and their ice cream is the best we've ever had. The staff made our celebration worth the visit with their friendliness, kindness and family style atmosphere. The restaurant was very clesan and we will be back again.
