First time at this location since becoming 13 North and they did not disappoint! We actually were upstairs for a family party and we had an amazing variety of delicious food! BBQ chicken for sandwiches, some amazing drunken chicken nuggets with a beer sauce, BBQ meatballs, Artichoke dip, stuffed mushrooms, cheese and sausage trays, it was all amazing!
The building still has the same feel which has a good, rustic feeling.
Service was great! Friendly, and cleaned off our dishes from the table quickly.
Nothing but good to say about 13 North!
All that said, we never saw a menu lol. Nor did I get any pictures, my bad.

First visit here after the remodel. The food was good of course, service was fine as well. We sat outside. The screen was a little annoying, cut down on the view. Not a deal breake r by any means. We'll be back.

We had our wedding and reception here on the 2nd floor and it was great! Sue and the rest of the staff was very helpful throughout the entire process and very attentive to us during the ceremony and reception. We had approximately 68 people for the ceremony and 100+ people for the dinner/reception and it didn’t feel cramped, but I would say more intimate, which we got a lot of compliments about actually. The food was great and we did the free beer and wine for 6 hours option. I liked that there were many different options for food, drink packages and I thought it was very reasonable.

Had the fish fry, my husband had a steak sandwich. Both very good! The star of the night was the excellent service though. It was very busy, but our server still stopped by several times and did a great job and everyone was very friendly. We sat near the bar area and it gets very loud there - maybe because we were near the windows? I would recommend making reservations - super easy to do online and we were seated immediately, which was really nice. We will definitely be back!

This was an awesome find. The food was delicios. The portions were great. The shrimp Scampi was very nice, and the Beef Short Rib was too. (I stole a bite from my husbands plate. 🤣)
Cheese curds were well seasoned and creamy. My eldest didn't like the mushrooms on a skewer that came with his Short rib (He hates mushrooms). But I thought they were amazing.
We sat on the balcony which has a nice view of the river. The service was nice and friendly as well. I loved it here.

The experience at 13 North was impeccable! From the minute you enter thru the dining experience was amazing.
The food was excellent and would highly suggest that this be a must try!
Thank you for such wonderful service and looking forward to our next meal!

We stopped by for lunch today and ate on the screened in patio overlooking the river. Krystal was our server. She was attentive and had good knowledge of the menu. We shared a fish banh mi and a Caesar salad. The fish had a great breading and the Caesar salad had a wonderful homemade dressing and Housemade croutons. We look forward to coming back and try other things on the menu.

I have been here twice before and my food was amazing and service was good. I was sooo excited to come back, especially for their mushroom bruschetta. I Decided to come back today for my husband to try their brisket burgers and enjoy the new patio. The place was very empty and we sat for 20 minutes without even being acknowledged. No water, no hi i will be right with you. The couple we were with said this has been the 3rd time the service was this bad for them. This was the first time I have ever walked out on a place. I have been a waitress for many years and I like to be very understanding when it comes to customer service because i known it can be very hard. We saw 3 different workers come out multiple times and no one even looked at us. As we walked out we got just a "sorry". I am very disappointed as I have really loved the food and drinks.

This was our first time going to 13 North. They have wonderful smash burgers. I had the fried green tomato burger and loved it! I tried the chocolate old fashioned and also loved it. The fries were excellent, crisp but not greasy.
Alex was our server, and gave us excellent service. Next time we will probably try their three season patio with heaters for the view of the river. This restaurant is exactly what Grafton needs for an upscale, casual dining experience, and we will be back.

We enjoyed both our meals. I had the September special, Jaeger Schnitzel my wife had coconut/macadamia nut shrimp. She got six huge shrimp with coleslaw and fries I got spatzle, red cabbage and three pork medallions (not pounded as stated on the menu) with mushroom sauce, I loved every bite. The outside deck overlooks the river and it's heated.

I see what they're trying to do. The remodel was decent, was never a fan of the atmosphere in Ale House so this was a nice refresh for what it is. Here's the issue. Walking in, we sat at the bar for a light dinner and cocktails. We weren't greeted for a while, there was one bartender also waiting high tops who eventually emerged. No acknowledgement for a while. She proceeded to help tables which was fine but we had to wait for menus and when finally given, one she had already helped others who arrived after us. One menu was crusted with quite a bit of food which was off putting. The drinks were quite mediocre from the menu selections once we got them. The old fashioned sounded like a riff on a traditional southern one, it was far too sweet. The other drink should have had a prosecco or some sort of fizzy champagne and it was flat. Like old bubble, no life, decent flavor just flat fizz. Husband liked the wings but they truly were quite greasy but had good flavor. $12 or so for 6, thays fine I suppose but they weren't amazing. Ceasar salad- listen, I know a great one and anchovies are traditional and that's great, however it was so wildly fishy and wilted I couldn't stomach it. It smelled and was just truly off putting. The French onion was a straight salt lick. It tasted like undiluted concentrated better than bullion. For 85 dollars, it just wasn't it. I've never felt sick after a restaurant and immediately felt ill half way thru my meal into the night. Total disappointment. Atmosphere was mediocre. Service was flat. It felt uncomfortable, the staff felt uncomfortable to be around like we were bothering them for asking for ranch instead of blue cheese when they brought the incorrect order. The whole thing was just not it. We felt it the moment we came in.

It was my second time here and I am so happy with the new concept!!! The food in my opinion is the best in town right now. I had some great drinks and apps with my mom, including the tenderloins tips 🤭, Korean chicken wings (YUMMM) and the crab fritter special. I was also surprised and delighted to have such good soup in the middle of summer but it just shows how much intention they are putting into their food. It’s a big step up from the bar food at the ale house. Our server Jasmin was so sweet and super attentive, and I’m excited to go back and try more from the menu. I live most of the time in colorado and am so happy that grafton is elevating their options! Anyone who thinks this spot is overpriced must expect cheap food quality, bc I think for the quality here the pricing is great!!! cheers guys and keep it up.

I loved this place when it was the Milwaukee Ale House. I was a frequent, loyal customer. Then ownership decided to change to this. When they reopened I walked in and asked if they had a take out menu I could have. A very snobby man in the host/hostess area literally looked me up and down, chuckled, and said no. (I was wearing jeans and black tee shirt).
Never thought I’d be the victim of snobbery in downtown Grafton. There’s plenty of friendly places to eat in the area. Won’t be going back.

Just had a date night here. The service was top notch, we were originally at a high table and asked for a lower due to some back issues and they were able to accomodate. Never felt like we were waiting long before empty dishes and glasses were gracefully whisked away and drink refilled. The food quality was top notch, with a clear focus on quality of taste and ingredients. I would match that short rib against any restaurant in WI! Lilian was an attentive and wonderful server and it was truly in one of our tip 5 date nights the last two years. This place has a winning combo of service and food quality- we will be back!

Recent remodel is great, bathrooms much better then when it was Milwaukee Ale House.
Dinner comes with a water carafe which I love! I drink a lot of water!
I had a classic margarita, which tasted like straight tequila, but I’m not complaining 😂
Brussel sprout appetizer was very good.
I had the 5oz steak sandwich, highly recommend. Steak was tender, cooked to my request. Upgraded to Parmesan truffle fries.
Husband had a type of shrimp pasta, don’t remember the name, but he liked it. Came with a good bit of shrimp.
I did order a french onion soup, but it was forgotten. Server eventually brought soup and comped it, which was appreciated.
Overall, much better than previous Milwaukee Ale House!

Delightful rebranding of a great restaurant. My chocolate old fashioned was unique and very enjoyable. My husband and friends were not traditional yet delicious. The cauliflower entree and gnocchi were outstanding; unique and delicious. Alex was a very attentive and delightful server. Definitely a 'must go back often' place!

I keep trying to like this place but... ordered a captain and diet, got some sort of whiskey coke. She orders a Titos martini and gets a I don't know what. 83 year old mother inlaw orders a seltzer and they can't even bring a glass. Then they have to send someone else to make sure what a titos martini is. C'mon... be better. You've got a great venue. Do better. Then the apps come with the meal. Forget it. I'm out

Enjoyed some great food and cocktails on a Friday night here at 13 North. Our server, Alex was very attentive and friendly. ⭐ Five-Star Dining Experience at 13 North ⭐
If you're looking for a casual yet elevated dining experience with bold flavors and a vibrant presentation, 13 North hits all the right notes.
🍹 Drinks That Wow
From the moment the drinks hit the table, it was clear this was going to be a memorable meal. The cocktails were both vibrant and refreshing
🍟 Appetizers to Devour
The Truffle Fries are addictively crispy, dusted with parmesan and fresh herbs, perfectly golden and satisfying, they're a must-order.
The Crispy Chicken Wings, dressed in a sticky, glossy sauce, deliver both visual appeal and deep flavor. Paired with slaw and dipping sauce, they’re great for sharing—but you’ll want to keep them all to yourself.
🍕 Flatbread Worth Fighting Over
The star of the table might just be the flatbread pizza— loaded with juicy chicken, fresh tomatoes, crumbled cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze over melted mozzarella and pesto. A winning combination of crispy crust and fresh toppings.
🍺 Great Pairings
The golden beer is the perfect companion to the savory dishes—cold, frothy, and refreshing, it's ideal alongside fries, wings, or a flatbread.
📝 Menu Highlights
The menu is a foodie’s dream, offering everything from Jambalaya Mac & Cheese to Beef Short Rib and Citrus Salmon. Whether you're here for comfort food or something more refined, 13 North caters to both cravings.
Final Verdict: 10/10 13 North brings together creative cocktails, beautifully plated comfort food, and a cozy atmosphere with a modern twist. Everything from the glassware to the garnish shows care and class. Whether you're out for a date night, group gathering, or casual lunch, this spot delivers quality and flavor in every bite and sip.
🌟 Five-Star Service! 🌟
I had the pleasure of being served by ALEX, and I can confidently say he is one of the best servers I've ever encountered. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, offered helpful recommendations, and ensured every part of our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable.
Thank you Alex!!

Very dark. Somehow it has a lot of windows… and still very dark. Weird space, with tables on top of the people sitting at the bar. The whole vibe is off putting to me personally. Which is obviously subjective. Maybe sit outside? Staff is fine, maybe a bit low on the personality side. Very abrupt, or quick to run off. Again, fine.
The real deal breaker is the cost. But not sure this is reality when it comes to drinking anything… Makers is barely above modest brand bottles. I paid over 40 dollars, for 4 ounces of Makers Mark 46. lol. Cmon. The bottle is $38. There are 25 ish ounces in that 750ml bottle. They’re trying to sell it for $250? TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY dollars for a sub $40 bottle. And it was neat. An up charge, to do nothing to it. Not even ice. Based off this alone, I’ll never be back. Going forward, at any other bar now, I’ll have to ask ahead of time what the cost is for mid level booze… because this is clearly absurd.
About the reply I think anyone can expect from this place. I’ve ordered countless neat bourbons (from anywhere else) and have never been charged more for neat. Ever. Anywhere. If that’s your jam, and you’re still happy to pay FIFTEEN dollars for liquid poured from a bottle that you can buy for $38 dollars full retail… then great. Also nice that they ignore the tip I guess. Feel a little douchey tipping only a buck on a 40 dollar tab, so I don’t. Maybe that’s on me. And while you’re asking the clouds to go away, maybe also ask what a lightbulb is. We can literally compare Stillery’s online menu prices any time we want. They’re right next door. I’m not trying to champion them, I don’t care if anyone goes there or here or anywhere else… but it’s direct competition that I assume 13 North just decides to ignore? The prices are clearly listed there too, so at least I don’t get sticker shock at the end. It’s also curious to me that the first two ounces are 7.50 each… the third bonus ounce is only 2.50. Apparently the sixth ounce is also 2.50. Neat pricing model that I’m sure everyone loves…

We visited when 13 North first opened a few months ago, and everything was great. But when we visited again on 6/13, the food and drinks were even better. The chocolate old fashioned was amazing! It was like a regular old fashioned but with a chocolate aftertaste. I had the chicken pesto flatbread, which I hope they will keep on the menu all summer because it was SO good. My husband had the Brisco Melt with bourbon mushrooms, and he loved it. Service was great, and we got to sit out on the new screened in patio (no mosquitoes!) overlooking the river. Can't wait to go back!

Ordered $12 cheese curds, got 11 actual curds. Also came on a bed of lettuce and apple garnish, no ranch. Had to ask multiple times for water to be refilled. Ordered ranch with dinner and they brought ketchup instead. Ate outside, but it is covered, heated, and has doors to enter, would rather have it on a porch not just a heated outdoor screened in and covered area. Secondly, ordered shrimp jambalaya mac and cheese. Very small portions for $22.

It was my family's first time here since the remodel. We were greeted and seated immediately (Monday evening). There were 3 or 4 servers on duty. None of them acknowledged us. We were there for over 15 minutes (google timeline said 18). The place looked great. Other people's food looked good. The hostess gave us 6 crayons for my kiddo to color with. So many plusses.

The menu is disappointing when I compare it to The Milwaukee Ale House. I ordered a Beyond Burger with fried onions and a slice of American cheese. It arrived with onion strings, and no cheese. The patty itself was dried out. The French Onion soup was great! My partner order the Bacon and Blue Burger. The meat patty was small and it was mostly "bun" which is used as a filler. The ounces should be listed on the menu so patrons know what to expect. For what you get, the food is over priced. The service was great. Not sure about the layout of this restaurant. Too many TV's in one spot and none in others. The one TV on the back wall above the patio window is hidden by some hanging decorations. I also noticed 3 tables outside that sat with dirty dishes on them for quite a while before they were cleaned off. Our entire meal was comped, but needless to say we won't be back! The former Milwaukee Ale House was so much better for a number of reasons.

I have been there twice in a week! I love everything about 13 North. The drinks are absolutely amazing, which is what brought me back. The Paloma is out of this world, and the Old Fashioned is just as amazing! My husband had the Whiskey Sour, and that was great also! We’ve tried the beet salad, wedge salad, Korean tacos and Nashville Chicken. Can’t go wrong with any of them! I have a feeling we’ll be back over and over again. Staff is great too!

Love this place! Drinks are fun (my favs are the Grafton Sour and blueberry margarita with tajin on the rim)! The Korean spiced chicken with slaw app is just the right amount of heat. The brick chicken is super juicy and tender and the beef short rib melts in your mouth. Of course you can never go wrong with a little crème brûlée for dessert and theirs is one of the best I’ve had. First time here since the rebrand. Very nice inside and our bartender was super friendly. My only constructive criticism is if you are going to charge premium prices for burgers you have to have a decent bun. The bun on my hamburger was like a McDonald’s bun. To be fair, we gave this new place a couple of weeks to open and get their processes sorted. I don’t think it made a difference. Errors with food order. Slow service and just an overall bad dining experience. It was not that busy. I recommend you find a different place. This place is over priced, lack of customer service and just a bad experience. Food was not made as ordered and one of our party of 4 didn’t get their food until after everyone else was done. Go to the Stillery or honestly, anywhere but here.

We started with Bourbon Mushroom Bruschetta. I thought they could have been grilled a little crisper, but very good flavor.
Hubby had perch, I was impressed it was real perch fillets. Crispy, not greasy!
I had the Bourbon Melt with onion rings. The sandwich was smokey and earthy, really nice flavor.
My only criticism of it was that they didn't ask how I'd like the burger done. It came out over cooked, dry, and kind of shrunk up. There was a good amount of bacon jam and mushrooms to help with the dryness. The onion rings alone are a good enough reason to go back. Best I've ever had!
We ate at the bar, and the service was excellent.

I visited 13th North alongside my girlfriend's family for their test run of the menu. We were all fans of the previous Ale House and to be frank, were skeptical of the remodel. However, in the words of my girlfriend's father, they knocked it out of the park; from the elevated menu to the perfect family/date night atmosphere, everything was amazing. I had the bourbon melt and part of a Nashville hot sandwich, both of which had terrific cohesive flavors. On top of that, we had the cheese curds and truffle fries, which each had an amazing texture and taste that kept you reaching for more. To top off this amazing experience, one of the best Crème Brulés I've ever eaten alongside a perfectly creamy raspberry sorbet and decadent chocolate mousse, each of which was so amazing that by the time I could snap a photo were half eaten. Can't wait to revisit when they fully relaunch!!

My wife and I visited 13 North for the "soft" opening tonight. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess and seated promptly. We were offered drinks and water was immediately brought to the table. Service was excellent throughout the evening and the owner checked on our table 2 times. My wife ordered the Filet Medallions and I opted for the Shrimp Fettuccine. She is an extremely picky eater but was very impressed by the flavor and preparation of her meal. My Shrimp Fettuccine was so tasteful, ingredients were definitely fresh and prepared with care. Cocktails were fantastic as well. Excellent food, service, and care was taken in every aspect. Love this new restaurant and cannot wait to return!
