From the service, to the drinks, to the perfectly cooked steaks to the blueberry cobbler cheese cake to the delicious house made braunschweiger spread on the relish tray (yes so good I had to take a container home). A wonderful evening of hospitality and great food! I love going to Wisconsin and eating at supper clubs. And for me a must is a dirty martini. Where can you go that they give you the shaker? Unreasonable hospitality! The owner Will was such a pleasure to talk to. He welcomed everyone that came in and took the time to get to know his customers. And if you sit at the bar, say hello to Al. A joy to talk with and many laughs. Heard great stories and met so many nice locals. The relish tray with their own home made cheese was so delicious we purchased one to take home! The baked halibut was flaky and had so much flavor. The baked potato was cooked perfectly. Yum! Topped off the night with a Grasshopper. So good! Highly recommend this for an authentic supper club. We will definitely be back! As Will said "it's how you make people feel" and at 3 Mile House you feel like you are one of the locals and they care that you enjoy the experience along with amazing food!

It was recommended we try 3 mile house by a coworker and friend. We drove over 2 hrs to reach it and boy it did not disappoint. My steak was so tender and flavorful. My husband got the prime rib and it was one of the best if not the best he had eaten. The service was quick and attentive. I highly recommend this lil gem of a supper club.

The food was good, but the service was okay. We had reservations, but we were seated next to the plate cleaning area/wait station, which was noisy due to the clanging dishes and flies. Please spend $100 and put up a partition.

Went here for our anniversary. It was an adorable little place with amazing food. When you are seated there is a veggie tray, cheese dip and crackers. We had steak it was delicious. The staff were great and friendly. Will be back sometime.

Stopped while traveling between South Dakota and Milwaukee because of a family recommendation, it did not disappoint! Excellent food and service.
The interior reminds me a bit of the small town MN steakhouses I grew up with. That's not a bad thing at all- cozy, excellent portion sizes/quality for price, welcoming interior. Basically, it's not a flashy contemporary vibe (that's not what a Supper Club is anyway).
Greeted promptly with no wait. We did eat very early, and I could see the wait getting long during peak times. Complimentary relish plate.
My husband ordered a New York Strip, and I had the tenderloin and shrimp. Everything was great, and the steaks were cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. The shrimp were quite large too!
Our waitress was very attentive and sweet, recommending dishes. The owner also stopped by every single table to check in. He told us they recently upgraded their NY Strip to Prime bone-in, my husband loved it. You can tell everyone who works there truly cares, and you can taste it in the food too. The French onion soup looked amazing...for next time!

I get traditional food and all that.
$16 for a hamburger that was plain, dry, and really wasn't that good is too much. There are restaurants in the area that have better presentation and things that come with the food like lettuce and tomato. I would recommend somewhere else to eat.
The restaurant itself looks like a few double wide trailers that were put together. Compared to Timmermans it's just poor quality overall and the price difference is negligible.

This Supper Club sets their tables with the celebrated veggie and cracker tray with house made braunschweiger and cheese dips. Hubby enjoyed a flavor bomb cheeseburger made from Chuck/brisket/short rib cuts of beef. For me, an aromatic, tasty (gluten free requested) pesto pasta, made with sundried tomatoes, wilted spinach, and quartered artichokes, topped with a juicy, flavorful, grilled chicken breast. We finished our meal with sharing a slice of a lovely marscapone filled layer cake topped with berries. This is a cozy, casual place, with attentive staff who aim to please. Very enjoyable evening.

Didn't know what to expect, we were visiting Dubuque IA and figured since Wisconsin was across the river, we may as well go. The Google listing and website made it seem like a luxury place to eat, and we might be under dressed.
Walk in, and we are greeted in the bar area with everyone staring at us, no sign or indication where to go to get a seat. Finally, some guy pokes his head around a corner and gets us a seat.
We sit down and look over the menu, and it's 10 min before anyone comes to ger drink orders.
The food was okay, but nothing crazy good. The steak had a nice seared outside, but it definitely didn't have any taste.
I live 7.5 hours away, so I likely wouldn't be back anytime soon. If I was back in the area, I would avoid this place, though.

ordered pickup first time trying this place. $25 for what they called full slab of ribs, I got 5 small ribs. I think it was a small 1/2 slab, they forgot my potatoes, the ribs were so salty I could hardly eat them. Never again, I did send an email while I was trying to eat that over salted ribs to ask of they made a mistake for $25 getting 5 small ribs and no potato. No more 3 mile house for us.

Ate here for the first time recently and it's a little upsetting to know what we've been missing out on! This place is truly phenomenal.
Get a reservation. Try the old fashioned.
My group got the prime rib, new york strip, walleye, salmon, mashed potatoes, hash browns, baked potato, coleslaw, tossed salad and french onion soup.
Big takeaways -
The strip and prime rib were cooked perfectly to temp. If you want something more tender, do the prime rib.
The prime rib somes with horsey sauce and aus jus, skip any other toppings.
The hash browns were probably the best potato, probably helped by the frying and the top tier cheese sauce, which was more of a bechamel. Mashed potatoes were excellent too and they come with beef gravy.
The walleye was cooked perfectly as well, for fried fish it's hard to go wrong here.
The place was jam packed when we got in for our 7 o'clock reservation around 10 minutes early. We were seated by 7:10 and were able to get drinks at the bar while we waited.
I think this will be our next supper club stop again!

Tradition means a lot and some aspects like the complementary vegetable platter with ranch, liver wurst and cheese is only for locals to understand. But the key here is the steak is cooked extremely well regardless where you live. An intense sear leaving a great crust. The only thing is the chicken piccatta is a acid bomb. The capers are acidic, the sundried tomatoes are acidic, the lemon sauce is acidic. Just is out of balance and has little contrast.

Even without a reservation on a Saturday night, we didn’t wait more than 20 minutes to get a table. My husband had the prime rib and I had the fillet and they were both fantastic. Best meal we have ever had at a supper club. Highly recommend the 3 mile old-fashioned as well! They set the standard for what a Wisconsin supper club should be.

I really liked this old school place. I had grilled chicken with orzo and salad. The orzo was filled with vegetables. I especially liked their veggie and creamy dips they serve everyone. We had a wonderful server and the owner came around to check on us. My dinner companions had prime rib and shrimp scampi. The prime rib was huge and beautifully pink. Atmosphere isn’t why you come to this great eating place, but it more than makes up for it with reasonable prices for delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Very unpretentious look and great food. The steak was a “steak” that I remember eating back in the day. You could see the meat, the fat, and the juices so well done. The mushroom, green pepper and onion. They placed over the meat with the sauce was excellent. Truly, a great meal. The baked potato ‘ that I had, did not overpower the meal. it really blended well with the meal and advanced experience.

Wow i am in love. Dined here last night. Devoured everything i could. Bartenders Bob and Magic started us off with old fashioned that knock my sox off. We were then served perfectly and very happy with Dawn's service. Highly recommend the relish tray, french onion soup, wedge salad, hand cut ribeye, filet and lobster tail! Bussers moved our dishes off our table with lightning speed. Back to the bar to watch the Packer game and enjoyed the best Pink Squirrel i have ever had! Talked with owners Jesse & Will about our night. I cannot say enough about our experience. I left my phone in the car or i would have had pictures for ya. Do yourself a favor and eat here soon!

But this establishment hit their mark.
Delightful experience, simple setting, but delicious vegetable tray, and a GREAT prime rib. Service was very good even though they were very busy.

The Lobster pot pie was 95 % vegetables. I don't think there was any real Lobster in it. It was longostinos or fake Lobster, it shredded like crab Stix.

My personal favorites are the steaks and seafood. We love that in true supper club fashion, our meals come complete with a fresh relish tray. Update: After dining at this restaurant again with a group of several dozen folks—and the management and staff of 3 Mile House doing a truly exceptional job—and very importantly, the food being absolutely delicious, I’ve decided changing my rating from 3 to 5 stars would reflect a more fair and accurate rating. Any restaurant (except perhaps a Michelin starred one) can provide a not-so-perfect experience once in a great while. Bottom line is that aside from the one disappointing evening I posted about below, this restaurant has served my husband and I several wonderfully delicious meals, and the five stars are deserved.
We have been to 3 Mile House numerous times and have never been disappointed… until last Thursday. We brought my sister and her friend with to celebrate my husband’s birthday after boasting about how delicious their food was. I ordered an 8 oz filet, my sister ordered the fried chicken, and my sister’s companion and my husband ordered the 20 oz porterhouse special. The chicken, while small, was enjoyed. My filet had a piece of gristle running through it that I had to maneuver around—not a deal breaker but not great. However, the 20 oz porterhouse steaks were truly a disappointment. Thin, unevenly cut, a bit fatty and tough, but worst of all, pretty much tasteless. Even the tenderloin portion, saved for last, was uncommonly tasteless. Then, having previously dined there on our anniversary, I knew they provided a delicious celebratory, complimentary dessert. I was waiting for that for my husband. Instead, when we said we were finished, we just got the check! Now granted, the restaurant isn’t under any obligation to provide complimentary food items, however, we went there with expectations of having a delicious dinner—and I had in the back of my mind, a celebratory dessert to top the night off. Neither happened, and I left there kicking myself that we insisted on choosing 3 Mile House to bring our guests to that evening. We will probably go there again—their food has always been outstanding—but in the back of my mind, I’ll know that I can’t count on having that experience consistently, so will think twice before considering it as a place to take family and friends when they’re visiting; and that is really the disappointment.

We had a lovely dinner celebrating a big birthday for my mom. We had a party of 12 and were welcomed and taken care of as if we were family. The food was amazing and our server was wonderful. My husband said his prime rib was the best he's ever had. The owner stopped by to wish my mom a happy birthday. We brought the cake and they provided the ice cream. A great time was had by all. We will definitely be back next time we visit from Florida.

I had ordered the ribs and shrimp combo which was about $27, and unfortunately, the baked potato was the best part of the meal. The ribs were way overcooked and tougher than a shoe, both the ribs and the shrimp didn't have much flavor. The restaurant was also tight and overcrowded. Really delicious food in an old school supper club atmosphere. We traveled 1 hr 45 min to give this place a try and were not disappointed. French onion soup came out piping hot with a thyme-rich broth, lots of onion and well broiled cheese. The prime rib was tender and flavorful. Battered shrimp was lightly crispy and perfectly cooked. The shrimp may have stolen the show. Filet with blue cheese hit the spot. Our salads were simple, but did the job. We started with cheese curds and, to be honest, felt we have had better elsewhere. Overall we would very much recommend 3 Mile House. Just don't forget to make reservations!😊

Very nice old school Supper Club located 10 minutes from Dubuque. Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the owners who took the time to share the history of the Supper Club. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails at the bar before being seated for dinner. At the table was a nice relish tray as expected in a Supper Club. My wife had the shrimp and ribs plate and I had the ribeye steak. The food was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable. Our server was very engaging and friendly. We had a nice warm feeling eating the delicious food in this small town establishment. My wife has already put in a request to return for dinner here next time we are in town!

We came here on a Monday night, and the fact a supper club is open on a Monday is impressive in and of itself! Dawn was our waitress and she was great! The food was delicious. I ordered the French onion soup and hashbrowns with cheese and that was more than enough for a meal- with leftovers to bring home. (Next time I’ll come with a bigger appetite for scallops and steak). They have a “hidden” drink that should definitely be added to the menu- the threemiletini, invited by bartender Mark. It’s the perfect chocolate, creamy after dinner drink. All around an amazing experience!!

Had a reservation for 5 at 630pm to celebrate my uncles 70th birthday. Arrived at 625pm and checked in was told by dinning room manager they are working on it and will let us know when it’s ready. Stood in the bar area waiting for our table. Another group was sat before us who had the same reservation size and time, but checked in 10 minutes after us. We were not sat till 715pm. No communication from staff on potential delay in seating. We sat at table for 10 minutes before given menus. Food was not bad but nothing amazing. After ordering baked potatoes we were told they were out of them. The waitresses were very friendly. Ultimately the 2 star ratting is due to the lack of communication from staff, as some times it is understandable that you may be behind on reservation. But in this instance where your bar is full and there is no sufficient waiting space for guests it should be communicated that such a significant delay in seating may be possible so the majority of the group could wait in the car for the table to become available or possibly don’t take reservations if you can not effectively flip tables in an orderly fashion.

I called ahead to make sure there would be prime rib available and to get a reservation for 8 people. I was repeated assured that they would not run out. We arrived exactly on time and still had to stand in the bar for 30 minutes before being seated. During that time, we were informed that the prime rib was sold out. Then when we ordered our food, they were also out of pork chops. Additionally, one of the chicken pastas that were ordered at our table was so tough it had to be sent back. By the time it arrived everyone else was done. They get 2 stars because the waitress was good and we did get 2 free drinks. BTW.. Another couple was seated next to us and they got up and left after finding out what wasn't available.

Three Mile House has become my favorite restaurant in the Dubuque area, thanks to my boyfriend Jude!! We celebrated his birthday tonight and I told him we need to eat here 3 or 4 times a year! They are so generous with portion sizes, drinks, etc. Truly a great supper club.

My dinner was really good... Only thing I would say is they should ask what type of cheese you would like on your hash browns.... I'm not a fan of cheese sauce, and didn't know that's what they automatically put on them....I personally prefer cheese slices... But our waitress was really nice and switched then out for me...

After a round at a local golf course we almost did not stop here but sure glad we did!
So glad our friends told us about this wonderful place!
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Abby the bartender. Welcoming and so friendly. She asked if we were here for cocktails or dinner.
As soon as we said dinner a gentleman walks over asked if we would like our names on their waiting list. We said yes and Abby said it would be a few minutes and invited us to sit at the bar and have a drink. My wife asked a few questions and Abby said I have a drink for you. Mine was simple since I don’t drink alcohol. After some conversation we were lead to our table.
We were both surprised to find a basket of crackers, a plate with veggies and three goblets filled with yummy stuff.
Homemade cheese, ranch dressing and Braunschweiger. Who offers these thing these days??? Well, it’s here! We ate that stuff up…..thank you for having that on the table. It helped hold us over until our food came.
Our waitress Karen came over and gave us some recommendations on the menu. After a few minutes we took her advice. My wife had their Honey Bourbon Salmon. She loved it! It was a good size, cooked to perfection, greatly seasoned and amazing flavored. Along with her Salmon she had a side garden salad and baked potato with sour cream.
I decided on the Delicious Tenderloin Bits with sautéed mushrooms, green peppers, onions in a red wine sauce. Laid over mashed potatoes.
It was a good size serving and I ate it all! Yup. Even the green peppers I pushed aside as I ate everything else along the way. Little did I know that the taste of those green peppers tasted so good in that sauce. It was like eating another meal. Listen folks. That sauce is SO good I could have just drank it with bread sticks. My side was a dish of their homemade coleslaw. It was very tasty.
It was nice to have one of the owners,Jesse, stop over and ask how our dinner was.(He was the gentleman that greeted us by the bar with Abby) Nice touch. He told us about his co-owner, (Will) the restaurant and it’s past history. He even recommended their desserts and we caved in.
Karen brought their selection and we ate their special Donut raspberry cheesecake. ❤️
It was over the top.
Over all we give them a 10 out 10! We highly recommended this place and plan on bringing our friends.

Thursday nights ribeye at $34 was terrible. Very thin, fatty, grissly & tough. When waitress finally came back to clear plates I showed her the salad plate full of fat & grissle & said the remaining was too tough for me to chew. She said I wish you had told me I could have remade it or something. Well since she hadn't come back to check on us since she brought our food, there wasn't a chance to tell her without having to track her down! When she took our check I fully expected her to give us a bit of compensation, but no, nothing. Not a good experience & definitely not worth the price. We won't be back.

We just stumbled upon it. Cute Wisconsin bar/restaurant. The filet was really good. But the lobster wasn't. I was extremely disappointed in that. I didn't tell management because you can tell they are really proud and love their restaurant. They genuinely cared about customers and went to each table to ask how things were. I'd go again and get the filet and the loaded hash browns.
Also the homemade liverwurst and cheese platter was truly amazing.

Great supper club. Fresh relish tray at our table when we sat down, and that cheese spread...please package that and sell it to the public lol. Steaks had great flavor, cooked perfectly and tender, so tender you could have cut them with a fork. Let's not forget the hash browns, cooked perfectly too. Would recommend and will go again.
