If you are loyal to 3C's Cafe, DO NOT read my review as you will not be happy with anything I have to say. Starting out, we only went here because DJ's was closed the day before Father's Day. We went inside and grabbed one of their buzzers and sat back outside to wait despite seeing several empty tables. There were only 4 of us. I noticed that several groups of people were being sat before us despite putting their name in after us. We went inside to discover that our buzzer wasn't actually working correctly, and we had sat outside for 45 minutes for no reason. The woman who appeared to be the manager/owner sat us at a table right next to the air-conditioning vent. Mind you, it's 50° outside. We complained to the waitress who said that the cooks were too hot and she'd see if she could change it. It took another 30 minutes to get our food. 3 of us ordered the sampler. The hollandaise was gritty and bland, and the walleye was fishy. We asked for tartar and only got less then a tablespoon for each of us. Once I finished my plate, I was still hungry. The portion sizes are ridiculous and the pancakes are underwhelming. The coffee is bitter but watered down at the same time. At the end of the day, we wasted our entire morning just waiting and waiting only to be served substandard food and recieve an attitude from the waitress. Go to DJ's instead. Otherwise, you're better off starving on your way to Minoqua to find something more adequate.

I have enjoyed the food and service here, however like most northwoods businesses they have started charging credit card user fees. As a business owner I understand that position. However, fees can NOT be added to a bill when the customer uses a DEBIT card. While the merchant is still charged fees, they may NOT pass those fees onto the customer when using a DEBIT card. I recently spoke to owner about this after noticing I was being charged for using my debit card. She was unwavering from her position and gave me a line of malarkey that the processing company said it was ok to do and that she would not be removing the fees. I will not do business with someone who knowingly implements unethical business practices. Too bad, I enjoyed 3C's.

Donna is the reason we will never be back…. Had a young guy come to our table to take our drink order after waiting 10 minutes. Donna told him to not take our order because we were her table. Put us right by the air conditioner with 4 kids and did not say anything. But warned others that wanted to sit in the table next to us. My son had to get up and walk outside he was so cold. Donna took our order and asked if my son wanted any toppings for his burger he said no just ketchup and cheese. When our food came out she said the cook put onions and lettuce and tomatoes on the burger but that my son can just pick the onion off.. mind you my son has a thing with certain foods. Kids are not easy when it comes to food. We were also told there was no fruit at all to give my 2 yr old twins. My husband asked Donna for another soda and she told him he would have to wait as well. Our bill came out to $91 and some change. We paid with a $100, had my son go up and pay. He came back with $2 and some change. I ended up having to go up and ask for the remainder of my change. Her response was she didn’t know what she was thinking. Horrible Horrible service… wish we would have had the young guy in the first place.

Pretty good food, but our waitress Tina delivered great service that made this cafe stand out. She was very attentive and upbeat despite being very busy. The Bananas Foster French Toast and Strawberry and Nutella Crepes are AMAZING! They're the best that we've ever had! The brewed coffee and orange juice were great, too. This place is fine. Stopped in here for a quick late breakfast and ended up being here over an hour, completely defeating the point of our stop. The food was fine.

Owner: PLEASE let your cooks know that they're allowed to use salt. Everything except for the kielbasa and gravy was bland as hell.

The experience was fine but it would be nice to get biscuits and sausage in under an hour.

My previous review:

This is my favorite St. Germain breakfast spot. The employees are always cheerful and welcoming. I arrived soon after opening, so the server on duty didn't realize I had walked in. A regular customer seated me and wandered into the kitchen to let them know I was there. We had a nice laugh, and it was on to breakfast.

3 C's is a breakfast and lunch diner in the very best sense. The food is wonderful. (Pan-fried walleye with potato pancakes this morning.) I try new restaurants when I'm in the area, but this is the only place I'll visit a few times in one week. When I visit in October, the restaurant is always a little chilly; bring a jacket.

The food was very good. But today the service was really bad. The food took more than 50 minutes and no one came during our meal to ask if we wanted anything else, or drinks refilled or anything. Then to add insult to injury, the wall to the street side had a significant draft so we were chilled on top of it. Had soup and salad. Soup was incredibly bland. Side salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, slices of a whole tomato and regular onion. ?? Who puts regular onion on a salad? And use cherry tomatoes! Pan fried walleye had raw batter on the sides of each fillet. When I told the server, she passed it on to the cook but never apologized or offered to take money off the tab. The rest of breakfast was just ok in my opinion. There are far better potato pancakes at other places nearby (these were just hashbrowns pressed really thin and fried extra crispy, not very much flavor either and you only get about half the amount you would get if you simply ordered hashbrowns. The server never even offered to refill my empty water glass.

A cozy, homey spot for locals and visitors alike. The corned beef hash breakfast felt like home and when you order coffee they usually leave the whole pitcher for you to pour at your leisure.
