Loved that it has been in business since the 20's. The ribs were delicious. Loved the French onion soup and side of rye bread. Fried chicken was a little dry. Service was slower than average but still attentive. I would eat here again!

This place probably would have 5 stars if it was not for the lack of attentiveness and hospitality of the waitress, unfortunately. They were busy, but she was cold and barely stopped by to check on us throughout the time spent. They have busboys/ girls and one was more helpful than the waitress.
The fish fry was excellent. Cooked well and breaded well. The bartenders were helpful and friendly. The drinks were poured well and priced fairly. The duck wings were a delicious and refreshing appetizer choice to try. It had a cherry sauced that paired with the darkness of the meat. This place seemed like a classic Wisconsin Supper Club would recommend.
It was busy as to be expected on a Friday evening fish fry night. The wait wasn't too long though.
Ample free parking. Kind of confusing to find but Google maps worked.

Came in from out of town and the first place we wanted to go was “the 5-O,” as our friend, and LONG time patron calls it. We had a table of 9, most of us ordering drinks and everyone ordering dinners. My children (ages 4 and 6) were sitting at the table, with their headphones on watching their tablets, not making any noise or exhibiting ANY bad behavior. A woman in a chefs coat came out to our table, shortly after our food came out, and after being “thanked” by my kids (unprovoked) for their “yummy food,” this woman told us we needed to have our children put away their tablets as it was “distracting other guests from their dining experience.” My first response was “they have their headphones on…” she continued to say that it didn’t matter if they wearing their head phones,” they have a “standard” to uphold and she simply couldn’t allow it. She made us put the tablets away which resulted in my 4 yo crying and my 6 yo questioning what he did wrong. Our children are not allowed to use their tablets ever at our dinner table and we monitor and limit their use, BUT we wanted a nice dinner with our treasured friend and allowing our kids their tablet meant we’d be able to socialize and catch up with our longtime family friend. Our dinner was ruined. The servers were oh so apologetic (though it was NOT their fault) and ultimately it resulted in us cashing out and NOT continuing our visit there with more food and cocktails. Also, it’s guaranteed our next time visiting from out of town, we will NOT be patronizing this establishment. What a shame.

Dinner was great, server was on point, atmosphere was quaint.
It was definitely awkward when we finished dessert and payment when they asked us to leave within 5 minutes so they could have the table for a bigger party.
That was a first, and very tacky for a dining room that had several open tables.

Arrived at 7 on a Friday during Lent — no surprise, it was packed. We were quoted an hour wait for a table of four, which felt about right judging by the crowd. Luckily found a spot at a bar table and didn’t have to wait long for drinks. The place is big, with what felt like hundreds of people packed in, but the sunset over Pewaukee Lake gave it a nice backdrop. Classic Wisconsin supper club vibe — warm wood, low lighting, and lots of chatter.
I really wanted to love the food. I went with the perch, but fries were the only side — no potato pancakes, which was disappointing. The fish was just okay, slightly overcooked. Fries tasted like they’d been sitting in old oil. Best part of the plate was the ranch and coleslaw. Overall, it felt a bit like a production line pushing tables through fast.
Top Tom Tip: If you go on a Friday during Lent, plan ahead — bar seats are your best shot at avoiding a long wait, and the atmosphere is better there anyway.

We had won some gift cards for the 5 O’clock club. Glad I got $100 worth, will be coming back multiple times!! We went for lunch and the service was excellent!! The food was delicious, my husband ordered the Prospect Avenue sandwich
Grilled chicken breast, bacon, Swiss, mozzarella, and cheddar, on grilled Italian bread. I had the The Mainstreet Burger
On toasted marble rye, with melted cheddar and grilled onions, both came with fries.
We had enough leftover for dinner as well. AND of course we had to try the HOMEMADE ice cream, in 3 flavors almond/amaretto, pistachio, and vanilla/lavender, all were a small scoop with whipped cream, just enough for 2 to share!

We went here for a Friday night fish fry. The place was packed and overflowing. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes and since we wanted to do something later we opted for take out.
The staff was friendly considering how busy they were and we didn't feel ignored.
We waited 20 minutes for our order which was fine considering the crowd. It was noisy and hard to hear each other.
My wife had the baked cod and I had the fried cod. The order came to about $35 which is about average. We had no options for sides so we ended up with fries, coleslaw, and rye bread. Both the baked and fried food were bland. The tartar sauce was just ok. The fries were overdone, some being slightly burnt. The coleslaw was good.
As a child over 50 years ago my family came here frequently and I have fond memories of this place. I won't be coming back, but will treasure my family memories.

My husband and children did a quick weekend getaway and searched for a place for dinner. We stumbled upon this gem and happy we did. They where friendly, accommodating and the food was piping hot with lots of flavor. Alot of laughing but not super loud. One of my children is picky when it comes to their grilled cheeses and he gobbled this one up super quick. Seems standard but alot of places makes them differently and he loved theirs. My other one couldn't stop picking the steamed veggies off of her dad's plate. My husband ordered fish and I had ordered the little cluck. Portion sizes where large and pleasantly suprised when the plates arrived. We both picked the fried option and it was the perfect layer of crisp in each bite and not overly greasy. Chefs kiss as i've found most places you are left with a greasy face after eating fried food so typically order grilled. The atmosphere was cozy and the view of the snow with the fireplace was perfect! Will definitely be returning when we head up north again!

Worst Restaurant Experience Ever! Will Not Be Back !! I’ve had better service, food, and hospitality at Fast food restaurants and Sports Bars ! Came about 4:30 , seated immediately .. not that busy . However Waitress ( older woman) seemed rushed .. not pleasant or welcoming .. acted almost as if we were a “ bother “ .. waters were brought but never asked if we wanted anything else to drink .. we ordered the fish fry .. the Cod was dry and had no flavor .. i’ve had way better Cod at Culver’s ! We were never checked on by this waitress .. had to flag her down to ask for a beverage . Worst of All , we had barely finished our meal and paid for the bill when a younger waitress came over and asked Us to LEAVE in order to make room for waiting customers !! What !! ?! In all my life, this has Never happened before!! How absolutely RUDE ! I see from previous reviews that I am not the first to voice this Complaint and apparently nothing has Changed ! We will Not be back , Do NOT recommend this place, and Will be telling others about this horrible experience !

Unfortunately the service has gone down hill dramatically! We have been coming for years - 40 or more times but this past will be our last. We waited 1.5 hrs before getting seated arriving early; with people behind us on the list being seated before us in parties of 2. Our waitress forgot about us entirely. The food came out before the sides, the water and condiments. We had to wave her down for the water and sides. It was awful. She blamed "the other girl" whoever that was as it was not her job to do that part? The fries were great as always so that's a plus but the fish breading was very thick so left mine for the garbage disposal, no left overs desired. Can't say much about the sides as we got those after the meal was delivered so no comment there. The alcoholic beverages where inexpensive but heavy on the bitters, very strange as they were known for their brandy old fashions in the past. It's so sad that our favorite place for years has diminished so much the past few times, we will not be back. I'm sure no one will care (as they could care less we were there tonight, as regulars, to begin with) but the nice thing is, there are plenty of other fish fries in the area and lake country that are outstanding that we will go to going forward.

The atmosphere was 100% Wi Supper club, loved it! We had a reservation and were seated right away. Luckily we had drinks already because it took our server about 10 minutes to check in. Ordered right away, service was pretty slow, got our soup and waited about 20 minutes after finishing it for our entrees. We were there for 2 hrs for dinner, which was too long imo. We had The Cluck, ribeye and vegetable medley with shrimp. Soup was excellent, definitely the highlight. Entrres were good/average but nothing really excellent. Prices were very fair, I would even say low. Our server was very friendly and sweet, just seemed distracted and scattered. I don’t think we will go back, which is a bummer because I had high hopes.

I'm not much of a fish fry fan, so I ordered the baked cod with "drawn butter". There was a buck and a half uncharged for the butter. It wasn't butter. Oily, not so nice tasting, yellowish cup of nastiness. Extremely busy place on Friday, may try their weeknight menu, I've heard the steaks are good, but won't go back on a Friday.

This was our first visit, on a Thursday night. The menu is very different depending on the day of the week so be aware of this and check their online menu when you make your reservation. It also appears they offer a fish fry on more days than just Friday. The location is very secluded, nestled in beautiful trees and a minor view of Pewaukee Lake, and has both inside and outside tables. Unfortunately, we asked for an outside table on this warm night but were told they didn't have the staff to make it happen. On our way out there were people dining outside so that was disappointing. Our server Michelle and busser Tea did a great job and even tho they were both super busy we were well taken care of.
Being a Thursday night we had some interesting options including the specials. We decided to try the Ribeye with veggies and a baked potato and it was delicious and a good size serving. We also ordered the full rack of Ribs and that was different. They were well cooked but the sauce was more tomato paste than BBQ sauce taste. While it wasn't bad it was not as visually pleasing and did not taste as expected. This is a personal preference so if you like a hardy BBQ sauce please ask for a taste test before ordering to make sure it will meet your expectations. (The special Beef Ribs roasted had a different and non-BBQ sauce, so be sure to test that one also. It didn't interest me so I avoided it.) The french fries served were all over the place in being cooked, but that's because they were all different sizes from tiny and crispy to large and limp.
There is a large drink menu to choose from and the servings are nice. However, we were too full to have one of the tasty-looking desserts.
All in all our bill for two women was just over $103 before tips. Not bad for the amount of food served but each dish was a bit of a surprise. We will probably try again because the service was excellent and there are more items we would like to try. But it was not a night to remember, just one to eat out and take home leftovers.
The decor is typical supper club style but somehow the room is not too dark. And even tho they have just celebrated their 95th Anniversary, the atmosphere is not old, but more traditional. Lots of windows is nice.
One thing to know is that the staff has been here forever; our server for over 25 years, and a long-standing staff speaks well of the owners/management. Many generations have held this Club and you can tell they care.
Give it a try and judge for yourself. I think it is worth it.

Solid choice in Pewaukee for lunch or dinner. Great location right on Pewaukee Lake.
I had the Friday Clam Chowder soup and a Chicken Sandwich. The soup was tasty, I would order it again. The chicken sandwich was ok, not great, a little dry. The fries that came with it seemed.to come out of a bag, but were hot and crispy, just bland.
I also had an Old Fashioned that was above average for a Supper Club.

Good food, big portions at a decent price, and a big selection of drinks.
This one is not for the “fancy crowd” but it gets the job done and you can spend an enjoyable evening here.

Yer gonna wait on a Friday Fish Fry..
But I'm telling you..ITS WORTH THE WAIT...Bluegill and The Perch Were AWESOME! So Yummy! Wait Staff Was Running, But We're On It ,And Wonderful. Go! You Won't Be Disappointed. The Interior Was Very Home Like. Very Wisconsin. I love This Place! I'd say, If you Don't want to wait in line.. Go Early, or Later. Or Call and Get Take Out. Looked Like Between 5 & 7:30/8 pm is the Busy Time. Don't be Afraid, People Waiting to be Seated, Were Nice and You May Meet New Friends. I Again, Loved This Place!

First time here, on a Friday night, so opted for the fish fry. I believe that it is very challenging to create a fish fry that is unique and something remarkable. They are all pretty run of the mill, and this one was too. But, the food was hot and tasted fine. This place is LOUD. It is worth a try, but not good for a first date.

This place gets so packed that it's hard to get into at night on weekends. Many times the parking lot is jacked full, so we turn around and leave. Recently, we had the Blue Gill, and it wasn't great, but my teenage son had the chicken sandwich and said it was the best he ever had! People said they like the chicken on saturday nights...

The food was great, the portions were above expectations, and prices were fair. The only drawback was that the place was full of customers who were enjoying themselves, so it got a little boisterous in there! All in all, it was a great time!!

The only things missing from this authentic Supper Club were the salad bar and relish tray.
The old fashioneds were made just right. They served a lot of tasty food too.
The atmosphere was the highlight of the trip. From the coat rack near the door to the bar to get drinks before being seated to the multiple maze of rooms with sightly uneven thresholds indicating where they've added on through the decades.
No need to go "up north" to find an authentic Supper Club atmosphere... This is it.
(The only reason this wasn't 5 stars is that they offered Mexican food on Wednesdays - which isn't really traditional Supper Club fare. Ended up with the fish fry [served every day, not just Fridays] - which was tasty, however they served a sourdough-type of bread instead of the traditional rye bread...)

Lovely old cozy restaurant….with views of the beautiful outdoors, with both inside and outside seatings. It was too cold to dine outside in November though. We ordered the Barbecue baby back ribs and The Classic cluck. The ribs was pretty decent but a little too sweet, and the Classic cluck lacked flavor. You have to try the French onion soup! It’s very good. And the ice cream platter, even though I not a huge fan of mint chocolate, this was absolutely amazing! It was made with fresh mint.

Arrive early on a Friday for a fish fry since they do fill up fast. This is one of the few restaurants still serving food in what looks to be a home like atmosphere. There is a bar, and the mixologist, John, would be happy to help your cares go away. All of the staff here is like a family, and they are wonderful. There is a wheel chair ramp, but be advised that they can get quite crowded. They are also one of the few places to have clam chowder. Everything I have eaten here is wonderful.
There is also a deck outside in the summer.
They also have a robust take-out for Fridays, especially.

We tried the fish fry here after people raved about how good it was, only to be completely disappointed and confused as to how anyone could think it’s the best fish fry they’ve ever had. It was just fish thick battered with absolutely zero flavor, basic crinkle cut fries from a bag, and some dry bread. They don’t even have potato pancakes. Anyone who thinks it’s the best fish fry ever has definitely never been to Stolly’s Hogg Alley, Boozhags, or Kickswitch in lake country. It was not worth the 45 minute wait for a table or the price per plate to try this fish fry. The bar tenders and servers were good, but other than that I’ll pass on this place.

I had the Walleye. It was very fishy and very dry. Which tells me it wasn't fresh, it was frozen. Too much batter on the fish as well. The fries were cooked just the way I like them. Well done. Jodi our server was amazing, nice and friendly, big smile.
