Stopped out for a family dinner with the kids. Was very quiet which was nice. We walked in and weren't sure where to go but found only the basement level was open. Only a few locals were saddled up to the bar. Wait staff was extremely friendly and on top of things. Great service. We tried quite a few things as a group. Cheese curds were done right! Darn good!! Fish&chips were great though the tartar sauce was less than desirable. Philly sandwich was great. Patty melt was solid and the fries, though they are an added charge were a generous amount. Overall a great dining experience. For a family of 5 the bill was over $100 so not the most economical. But the food and service were top notch! Thanks 501 Tavern!

Mediocre food to be waiting that long. Ordered the poutine fries 10 mins before ordering entrees. Entrees arrived and waited another 10 mins for the poutine fries only for the gravy to be thick and chunky. We stopped in last week during the Packer game and I don't know how this place wasn't more busy. There are TVs all over the place downstairs, the cheesecurd appetizer we got was delicious, and the Sweet and Spicy Burger I got was one of the best burgers I've ever had!!

If you’re looking for a comfortable place to have a drink/beer and grab something to eat - this is the place. First, don’t let the outside fool you. The inside is rustic and inviting. The downstairs is even better. We ordered beers and started with the nachos with grilled chicken. The beers were cold and the nachos were spot on. Next we moved on to the main entrees. Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Pulled Pork Sandwich, and the Kielbasa Dinner. All four entree’s were well portioned, hot when served, and very tasty. There were zero complaints from anyone at the table. As to the service - another 5.0. I’m thinking our waiter was also the owner. He was extremely friendly, helped out when it came to the menu, and never left our glasses empty. We will definitely be back!

Ordered two meals; both were incorrect. I got the wrong condiment (and it was smothered in it) without the condiment I asked for (though I got charged for it), my side dish was overcooked; other person's meal was also very over cooked and very greasy. I got horrible food poisoning. Very musty smelling with no air circulation. Will never be back.

I loved the food. It was delicious. I had the bacon chicken wrap and my dad had the bacon bourbon burger. His was hot and juicy and my crispy chicken in my wrap felt warm. Everything tasted fresh. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. There is light music not to loud. The sensory environment is very nice for me and possibly others if on the autism spectrum.

First visit and we will be back. Went Friday, April 26th in the evening. My husband had fish fry with fries and I had the bacon bourbon burger. My husband loved it all including the breadstick. I had a bite of his fish and it was the perfect crispiness. My burger was great! Fries were good. Waitress, bartender, and who I believe is the owner worked as a team and made the visit enjoyable. I’m glad we found a new place to go to as we were getting bored with our typical go-to places.

I had my 30th birthday gathering here and I was amazed and so happy with how it all turned out. They let us use the whole upstairs which was the perfect atmosphere for my western themed party and for people to spread out and talk, relax and enjoy the night. They also let us bring in our own decorations and the staff was outstanding. They had a bar tender upstairs who was just so much fun and got along with everyone. All the staff were So nice, fun and helpful in every way. The food was sooo good! I can not recommend the wraps enough! My favorite thing to order from here. You really can’t go wrong with any of their food. They have a great selection and Cater for your event. Overall I would highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing dinner or any type of event.

The bacon bourbon burger and homemade chips give this place a reason to try it, as they are both so good. Chicken caesar wrap was pretty standard, but the addition of cucumber was a nice touch. The chicken in the buffalo chicken sandwich was so small and thin that someone at our table said "I think they forgot to put your chicken in the bun." Literally, top bun sitting directly on top of bottom bun. Our server was also dreadfully slow, even though there was only one other table of three in the restaurant besides our table of three. Oh, the tap beer needs to be colder, yikes!

1st time visit, and both of us ordered the fish and chips. Fish batter was soft and not crispy...was more greasy than expected. Cod was good; batter needed more time. Fries were greasy and not crispy. Talked to the owner who was very kind and wanted to make it right for us. He offered two more fish and even a dessert. We said no thank you as we were tight for an appointment and couldn't wait. We did say mention wevwould be back. Aldo said the deep frier may be not hot enough or food needed more time to cook. Didn't ask for a reduction on our bill. Owner stopped at our table about five minutes later to say thank you as he checked the deep fryers and they were set at 300 and not 350. We felt bad but then happy we were honest with the owner. We'll be back again...maybe breakfast next time

The beef stroganoff had no gravy or sour cream on it. I personally ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it had no cheese on it. The lemonade was absolutely horrid. The owner couldn’t remember any part of our order and asked us 4 times what we ordered and he still brought out the wrong food. After finding the other employees hair in our food, he then pawned off our complaint to the poor manager on duty who ‘tried’ her best it “make it right by offering 10% off or a free dessert” we will never go back to this place, good thing there will be another owner in a few months. We gave them multiple times to make it right within the 4 times, but the hair was the last straw!

The fettuccine pasta was super dry. I had to ask for extra sauce and they charged me for it.
The nachos are made with caned melted cheese mix. (they heat the canned cheese up on the stove. It is not homemade melted cheese)
The mash potatoes and hollandaise sauce are made from packets.. they are not fresh or homemade.
The chicken wild rice soup is premade and then frozen... Just like the supposed award winning blooding Mary mix.
They make it and freeze it..
The drinks are only poured by measurement. 1.5 oz per drink...In WISCONSIN. Also no roadies.
The decor has not changed and it is under new owners. Makes the community believe it is something original. And it is not, it is completely different.
The chef is not from Wisconsin and is too proud of his bloody Mary mix. (the mix is a huge mix of other bloody Mary mixes that have already been bottled and sold
It is not his recipe, only combining a mix of other bloody Mary mixes)
They are not able to broadcast a Packer game, because they did not buy the NFL ticket, and so in Wisconsin, they are forced to watch the Vikings game.
The upstairs is not open, so on a busy Friday night, when there is a 30 minuet wait costumers are forced to gather somewhere.. anxiously waiting to be sat.
And who knows when dinner is. It is not stated on the menu.
On top of it... Most of the cooks don't understand a word of English. So the staff is unable communicates with them.
And the Bar manager has a huge attitude, and talks down to her staff.

Sad I didn’t take more pictures of all of our food! We all chowed down on the chicken nachos and practically licked the plate clean. For entrees I had the buffalo chicken wrap and kettle chips, both of which were wonderful. I also got to try the fish and chips ordered by my girlfriend which was absolutely divine. The third in our party ordered a build your own burger and although I didn’t try it, even just the bun looked incredible. Everyone at our table was stuffed and very happy. The service was wonderful, especially for just having opened up a week ago. Not to mention how adorable the atmosphere itself is. I’m so excited to see where this place goes, couldn’t recommend it more!!

The food was great I got a chicken wrap with honey mustard and it was AMAZING. My family members got a burger, fish, tacos, chicken tenders and mini tacos all of the food was very good except for the fish, the fish was over cooked and dry but all things aside it was a good food. One of our burgers did get mixed up and we had to wait an extra 10 minutes to get that to us but they made it quick and was very apologetic. Overall great place with kind people and a great atmosphere definitely recommend going.
