The coolest cafe I’ve ever been to. So unique and artsy, while also actually having delicious food and coffee. I could drink the iced cinnamon roll latte every day. My husband finished his hot pistachio latte in just a couple minutes. Seriously so good!! We also each got a breakfast burrito when we definitely could have shared. We want to explore the other cafes in town, but 5th and Jefferson has set a high standard!!

We ate lunch here, outdoors on the quaint patio surrounded by blooming gardens.
This place is like something from a Hallmark movie, with a storybook setting. It's now one of my favorite places -anywhere-. We had sweets and coffee drinks too, all was great.
I will dream about it in winter, until I can visit again in summer.

Good - Atmosphere and staff were great.

Bad - My coffee had grounds in it and was so bitter and sour, even cream and sugar couldn't make it taste good. My fruit tasted like fish. Kitchen couldn't properly handle food allergies so my partner had to get an essentially uncooked bowl of veggies instead of a burrito. Asked for tortilla on the side but they still heated it up somehow so we couldn't trust there was no butter or anything on it.

Incredibly disappointing for my first door county breakfast experience.

First time visit, ordered the bacon Belgian waffle. #1 compliment, is that this little waffle was so over loaded with sugar that I couldn’t finish it, it upset my stomach. It should be part of the description on the menu that it’s a sugar waffle (more like a doughnut waffle), very disappointing. #2 complaint is that this is not a Belgian waffle, it’s a mini waffle, there’s a big difference. Service was fine and coffee was ok. Decor was pretty cool, unfortunately not cool enough for a second visit.

I was there 5 minutes before it opened and patiently waiting away from the door. Young lady that opened it never smiled at me, never greeted me. Not sure why she works at coffee shop if she hates mornings. 😆 Otherwise I love the house, decor, and coffee.

Definitely try!!!! Really cute place with fun vibe. Great coffee drinks! ( recommend the iced llama and the dream home)
We also tried the scones, breakfast burritos, quesadillas and avocado toast. All were great. The staff is hustling and turning it out very quickly considering there was a line the whole time we were there. The yard is adorable and has tons of seating. Kudos for creating the perfect coffee shop.

Stopped this past weekend on our way through. We didn’t order any food. Pretty decent iced coffee but personally not my favorite over all the different places we stopped at in door county. It seems kind of slow paced there but I wonder if it’s just because the space for the employees to work is so small that they have to try not to run into each other all the time. One thing my husband and I noticed was that the house that this coffee shop is based out of needs some updates. I like the character of the place but at the same time the little roof over the back door to the outdoor seating seems rotted and like it’s going to give out at any minute.

Wish we had discovered 5th and Jefferson Coffee House before our last day in Sturgeon Bay! This place is a total vibe — like stepping into your artsy grandma’s vintage home (if she also made a mean latte). Comfy corners, mismatched chairs, and tucked-away nooks both inside and out made it hard to leave. The gardens are straight out of a fairytale, and the whole place invites you to slow down and sip awhile. Oh, and the coffee? Smooth, rich, and exactly what we needed. We’ll definitely be back — first stop next time!

This is a really cute coffee shop with tons of seating inside and out. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden outside and eating the baked goods we purchased. It was such a pleasant surprise to have excellent gluten free baked goods. The lemon loaf was great! While there were signs that warned us of long wait times, we were frustrated that it took 30 minutes to get two hot coffees (we didn’t order food) and the coffees were just okay. Very bitter aftertaste. We’d go back, but only if we had a lot of time on our hands.

beautiful little coffee house. Everything you could ever want in a local coffee place. Only problem was the coffee was undrinkable, watered down so bad I had to throw it away and just go somewhere else and get a new coffee. Also very little energy placed in the coffee experience. Kind of felt like I was doing them a favor by being a customer. For what it's worth. Still a beautiful little place.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere!

***As someone with a cantaloupe allergy, THANK YOU for putting side fruit in a cup instead of directly on the plate 💜***

For a burrito and large coffee that actively fills me up, everything is very fairly priced, if not underpriced.

If it happened to rain recently, you might sit on a wet chair if you eat outside, but it's worth it.
5&J also offers Take Out / Takeaway if you're not one to dine in.

The outdoor seating is pretty good, it was probably the best thing about this place. I ordered the Zander and had to wait about 30 minutes for my food to get there; it only did after checking with the staff multiple times. The person who brought the food out didn’t apologize for bringing it out late, and other guests who got there before I did received their food at the same time. The sandwich was okay - it came with a side of fruit which I’m pretty sure came from a can because of how syrupy it was. Pretty disappointing experience honestly, don’t think I’ll be going back.

Waited in line for 20 minutes to get my order taken.. I was third in line when I walked in. Slow service. No prices on any food or beverage menu boards (when you finally get to order you find out everything is outrageously expensive - 1 breakfast burrito $13). Expensive prices for inexpensive breakfast ingredients. Went to order the Frankie breakfast burrito without onions and was told they cant do that because theyre preprepared with the peppers. Most common item thats asked to be removed from food dishes and they prep the burrito in a way where it cant be removed. Starving but I walked out honestly this place isnt even worth it.

Checked out this spot ahead of the busy season and so glad I stopped by! This unique coffee shop is a split up house with funky, fun decorations throughout. (Upstairs is a private residence).

They have tea, smoothies, frappes, coffee, and wine on Wednesdays (subject to change). Food and pastries as well. I tried their Funky Monkey with espresso added and it was very well made not too sweet.

Hope to return one day and try more drinks and food!

The bakery items were good. But the service and the staff were not. We ordered a frappe and a cold brew, and I stood by the waiting window for 20 minutes. They gave us the cold brew and forgot about the frappe. I kept seeing people that ordered after getting their frappes before us. So, I gave an inquisitive look to the staff person, and she flipped at me. Instead of apologizing for the wait, she took a tone with me and said, "I'm not the one making the cold drinks. That person is new, and it's going to take a while." And then brushed me off. 25 min later, when there was no one left in line, we finally got it, and the lady dropped it off at the window and didn't say anything to us and left back inside. The best part was when we got the drink it was awful and not blended right. I would have given the staff a chance to fix it, but not with the way they were treating me.

Ok, where to begin...first they serve our favorite coffee brand, Rusty Dog out of Madison, WI. Their lattes are balanced and slightly more coffee forward than some other places. This quaint and charming place is a must for great coffee and delicious baked goods. They offer a large outdoor seating area, which was perfect to enjoy the beautiful weather. The super friendly barista, per my request, made a delicious honey lavender oatmilk latte with half the sweetness. I couldn't resist the raspberry muffin with lots of fruit and a wonderful balance of tangy and sweet. And the little touches like the sticker on some of the beverages are adorable. Shame I can't rate more than 5 stars. We just returned from a trip through Door County, and I wish there was a place like this in my neighborhood in Atlanta. I scoped this terrific place out before we left Atl. Quick stroll from our B and B, the White Lace Inn. The fun decor and thoughtfully placed artwork is fantastic. Indoor and out. Had an amazing Cinnamon and Maple Latte and realized we need not go anywhere else for lunch. Fantastic veggie wrap and chicken curry soup. Call me a big city snob, but we did not expect anything like this in Sturgeon Bay. Thanks!

The owner Shawna is wonderful! She’s genuine and welcoming and seems to always be smiling. She goes the extra mile offering sincere service and thinks of little ways to improve every interaction. No doubt her success is due to her attitude of joy and vision for a safe and happy place for people to gather. We will always be visiting 5th and Jefferson anytime we’re in town.

Grabbed a cubano and breakfast butrito, the zander, on our way out of door county. That burrito was delicious, and i mean “give it to me as a last meal tasty”. The aesthetic of the place is if “girl dinner” was a cafe and I’m here for it. Service was prompt and attentive and I waited probably 10 min max for an order of three burritos and 5 coffee orders. Whether its the last day of your trip or the start, take 15 minutes to stop in and grab a quick bite.

What an absolute gem of Sturgeon Bay.

Very eclectic decor inside as well as outdoor seating area.

Little really needs to be said except for fantastic service and even better coffee and food. Ordered two black drips with two different breakfast burritos. DY-NO-MITE!

The in-laws have spent decades in the area and have done very little venturing into town. This will be a new regular stop for my wife and I.

Easy to miss as you're traveling through downtown Sturgeon Bay and then heading further up the peninsula. As is the case with many small businesses in SB, it's a repurposed house so keep your eyes peeled!

Or just follow Google Maps that will guide you to the corner of...can you guess?? 5th & Jefferson.

Quirky home turned coffeeshop with ample outdoor and dog friendly seating. They serve Rusty Dog Coffee (Madison, WI roaster). Coffee was ok - longer wait on a Sunday morning which makes sense. I did not order food but it looked good.

Would recommend if it's a nice day out and you are looking for a place to hang.

Stopped in for a quick coffee while on vacation and OMG the best iced coffee I've had in awhile! I always ask for a extra shot in mine and she told me it had 4 shots already. It was so good that we came the next day to have breakfast since the food must be as good as the coffe! And it was! The inside of the shop is cute and comfy, and outside there's an eclectic array of seating. We got a wrap and a muffin with our coffee and a smoothie and expected a small bite size sandwich, but it was a meal! And delicious! I'd give this place 10 stars! And it doesn't hurt that the staff are also just as great as their menu!! Wish I lived closer!!

Came here on our last morning in Sturgeon Bay and I’m so glad we did! I had the lavender honey latte and my spouse had the maple cinnamon and they were both absolutely amazing. Service was friendly and the side yard was gorgeous. Highly highly recommend!

A really delightful coffee shop. The service was great, abc I really enjoyed my drink. They have a pretty extensive food menu as well, but we did not order any of it. For being a smaller converted house, they had a lot of seating inside and outside.

If you're on your way up to Door County, stop and check this place out! They have delicious coffee drinks and breakfast options as well. There is little space for seating indoors, but if the weather is nice, you can sit out in the yard where they have lots of tables set up.
Inside, they have kitschy decor and clearly must be llama lovers :P Check out the bathtub inside if you get a chance! We had a bit of a wait for our food since it was a Saturday morning on a holiday weekend, but that was to be expected. We all enjoyed our food and drinks and will definitely stop back when we're in the area again!
