I showed up last night and it was packed. We got the second to last table. Our waitress was great. The kitchen was unbelievable. Our apps were on our table in what felt like 5 minutes. Very efficient wait staff and kitchen. And the food was great! I highly recommend the soft pretzel appetizer. They also have a very good selection of draft beers.

September 21, 2025. Thought we would try again since we had amazing service for my birthday. Came in. We received menus right away. Ordered food. Nearly the same as before. At this point, we have no idea what our servers name is. FYI WE ARE STILLING SITTING HERE. Not once did she ask us how things were going. Need to have more pep in her step. A young lady kept coming to talk our server. As my boyfriend was done eating. She asked us we if wanted more to drink. We said no. She gave us our check. Found out her name is Kassie. All of a sudden she was happy go lucky.

February 5, 2015 Sara was the best. My grilled chicken sandwich was good. Could have been a bigger piece. The fish was not that good.

One thing I do not like is that the servers are supposed to share their tips. I asked my server if I could speak with the manager ro see if I could give her the tip and no one else. He said that was possible.

After moving back to Wisconsin I have been on the hunt for a great fish fry. Disappointed in the places that we tried. Until we tried here. The absolute best fish, large flaky fish with a great breading. The slice of soft bread and I had the hash browns for my side. I’m going to say that after searching for the best, I found it. Repeat customer for sure.

Our family absolutely LOVES 5Q! We stop in any chance we get as a family to have one of Holly's incredible spicy bloody mary's and of course the friendliest service around thanks to Garrett & Boomer; folks who know you by name each visit and make you feel like family. Not to mention a great meal at any time of the day with delish specials and revolving soups of the day. It really is the perfect place to go and be productive working on your laptop over lunch, place to bring your family in town for the weekend for a great meal after a sporting event, perfectly priced options even for the pickiest of kiddos, and a damn good fish fry on Fridays. We will continue to choose 5th Quarter over and over again! Truly service with a smile. Everything they do shows they care about the details and they make sure everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from, feel comfortable in their establishment! Very disappointing experience tonight. My girlfriend and I are regulars here, coming at least twice a month. Tonight I got the perch fish fry and she got the cod. A couple bites of my perch and I knew something was wrong with it. It was so chewy, tough, and fishy... My girlfriend gave me a bite of her cod and it was the same! I chewed it for over a minute and couldn't physically swallow it, it just turned into a thick rubbery paste in my mouth that I had to spit out looking like a cod golfball🤢 absolutely nauseating

I never complain or send back food unless I actually can't eat it, which has maybe happened less than 5 times in my life, but I told our server, and her response was "well no one else has complained about the fish tonight" that doesn't mean that nothing is wrong with our fish!!! She went and talked to the kitchen and came back and only offered to take 50% off one of our meals. No real apology was given or anything. I told her it was probably overcooked and she just looked at my perch and said that it doesn't look overcooked 😑

It's not like we ate all the fish and then asked for a refund! Our plates were still full with only a few bites out of the fish, with balls of spat out fish in napkins on the plate!!!

Any decent kitchen manager would have taken it seriously and comped the meals, or at least offered half off both of them. Not just offered half off one meal when both of them were inedible. I would have no reason to write a bad review then, which sucks because we have always enjoyed the food here.

Stopped for some lunch between games at the VAC. It was seat yourself but we had no issue finding a table. Atmosphere was welcoming and energetic. Go here quite frequently as we live close, the service has really declined as of late. Very difficult to get the attention of a bartender unless you are a regular or one of their friends. They seem much more interested in socializing with those that they know and checking their phones than they do making sure everyone at the bar is served. We went for dinner 9/13, sat at bar, there was no check to make sure everything was OK after food arrived, and despite the empty glass sitting at the edge of the bar, they never asked us if we wanted a drink refill. No clearing of empty dinner plates, no asking for a box until we flagged someone down, and very difficult to close out the tab. We tend to have a large amount of patience for bartenders who are busy, having both been in the service industry in the past, but neither one of the bartenders were overly busy, just seemed uninterested in serving. Hope there are improvements made because they do have pretty good food here, but Service has been very lacking the last couple times.2 1/2 stars

The place was really good, the only problem is the food, and rest of the service takes a while. Do not go to this restraunt if you are in a big group, rather go with a couple close friends or your close family. When I say it took a while, I mean the waitress could only take 2-3 orders at a time before going back and logging it. This meant everyone had to repeatedly wait for the orders to log before they could give their orders. The food was however quite good and the waitress was friendly and communicated everything to us and why it took so long. So yes it was a good restaurant just not very suited for a large group of people at one time.

A nice place to eat while staying at the Super 8 next door! The service is great and the atmosphere is nice. I got a Cob Sandwich with a salad and clam chowder. The chowder was good but nothing special. The Cod Sandwich had a nice thick piece of cod and a yummy brioche bun. It was a little dry so I overloaded it with tartar sauce, but overall was pretty good. The food was all good but just pretty basic. Overall, 5th Quarter is a solid 3 stars!

I went there with a group of 9 people. We arrived at 11am and ordered together. Everyone’s food came out sporadically . 4 people’s food came out and they finished their food before the next 4 people’s food came out. Stopped in for dinner on a recent Friday and we're lucky to be seated in their new addition they call Sidelines. What a great addition it is!! I had fish fry that was as good as always. We walked into a fully packed restaurant and bar but only had to wait a few minutes to get a table. The service was outstanding especially considering how busy it was. The food came quickly and was hot and absolutely delicious! I ordered the Patty Melt with onion rings and hubby got the fish fry with cheese curds. The curds are the BEST around!! We sat at the bar at lunch and it took the bartender over 10 minutes to even acknowledge us. Two people sat down after us. After telling her our bar order for a coke and rum and a cocktail with three simple ingredients, she told us she was going to get the other people their drinks first (apparently they were regulars because she did’t even ask them what they were dinking). That was so rude. Then when she found out one of our drinks had to be but in a shaker, her response was “I can’t do that”. What bartender doesn’t know how to use a shaker? We were going to order food, but we were treated so badly by the bartender, that we paid for our over priced simple cocktails and walked out. Terrible service.

We came for the fish fry for lunch. It was excellent and the food portion size was huge. Service was great, thank-you Maddie! My wife had the Perch Sandwich with fries. She got two large perch fillets in the sandwich and a large serving of fries. Fries are very good, especially if you like steak fries which are a thicker cut. They were done to perfection. If you want lemon to drizzle on your fish, just ask and they will bring you some. I had the two piece Cod Dinner with a baked potato and Cole slaw. Two nice white cod fillets! Baked potato was steaming hot, served with butter and sour cream on the side. We finished up with the Brownie dessert. It was more than enough for 2 or 3 to share and had a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce on top. Absolutely delicious.
