I usually don’t make reviews like this, but I thought it was necessary. I don’t like to talk bad about restaurants, but the experience was not the greatest. I ordered the tuna pita and a cup of vegetable soup. The vegetable soup had a very bad aftertaste. I couldn’t even eat it. It also, barely had any vegetables in it. I would never suggest ordering that. My boyfriend got the chili and it was amazing! I think there’s other good things on the menu, but what I ordered was not it. The sandwich was good, but the tuna was mid it was still fishy. Needed more mayo. The real reason I made this review, was because I ordered an Italian soda because I can’t have caffeine. Unfortunately, there were hairs all over the outside of my cup. Hair, from somebody working in the kitchen. Not just one, multiple of them. I do not have short, black hair, I have long orange hair. My boyfriend’s coffee was delicious though. It was about $45 for two sandwiches, 2 cups of soup, poverty nachos, and two drinks. I thought the nachos had a funny after taste as well. So I couldn’t have more than a couple bites. They’re just microwave nachos. Just disappointed, there was hairs all over my cup.

The worse coffee. . . I ordered a cafe mocha...taste like the chocolate was moldy and had a burnt taste...save your money and go to Starbucks... . Sandwiches are so-so. I mean, this is 2021, who puts sprouts on sandwiches. Not the best service, the counter people are college kids who were dressed like hippies. I guess Eau Claire still thinks its the 1960s. . . They need to work on customer service. The soup, I have to say, saved the day.... very good. There are better options in the downtown to spend money with better food and good service.

I frequented the Menomonie Acoustic Cafe for years when I attended Stout. My favourite order was blueberry french soda, a corned beef hoogie, and maybe a bowl of beer cheese soup.

I had known of the other location for some time, but this was the first ocasion that I have visited it. I belive it is a bit larger, but it has the same lovely benches for seating. I definately prefer the decor and vibes at the Menomonie location, but I assume it can't be helped that this place was not as cozy and cute.

I was able to get my french soda fix thankfully. Same great food and drink. Great staff.

Acoustic Cafe was one of the first places I attended upon arriving to college in EC. The food is amazing and has never left me disappointed, the coffee drinks are incredible, and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The building features local artists and has a very community oriented sort of vibe to it.

Great vibes at Acoustic, I've always loved this place and when I went to school here it was a cozy spot for tea/coffee and homework or relaxing. Very affordable and very kind staff, cool decor as always. Definitely worth stopping in at if you're in the neighborhood!!
Hot or cold sandwiches and soup are the primary dishes, they also have tasty baked goods and ice cream!

Note: Around 7PM (before the homeless shelter opens nearby), there are sometimes a few groups of homeless inside. But they're friendly and aren't an issue unless you're being rude or staring - just enjoy yourself and be a respectful patron so all can enjoy!

My sister and I made the trip over to Eau claire WI to collect our farther who lived a few doors up from this awesome cafe. It used to be one of his favourite places to go. We loved it there as the staff and the whole setting was awesome 👌
If you're ever passing and need a pit stop this is your place to go. Ooh and if you want an awesome tattoo then visit my cool cousin Tyree just down the street.

Ordered a coffee to go and asked if the jug on the counter had regular half and half. Told yes. As I leave. I discover I'm drinking hazelnut flavored coffee which is either from their coffee or their cream. Can't drink the coffee. Glad I'm not allergic to hazelnuts! Also didn't appreciate having to wait for a code on our receipt in order to use the ladies room when my husband was standing right there with a credit card and we were placing an order and pretty clearly ready to pay. Friendly service but come on, just tell me the code! Spouse liked sandwich and scone was decent.

This was our first time here. I ordered the gluten free turkey sandwich and this was very good. I was very disappointed that I had to pay .75 cents for any refills on our soda drinks, given the soda initially costs $1.99 (12 oz with lots of ice). If you need to use the bathroom remember to take your receipt with you as you need a password to get into, and this is on your receipt…not a good idea if someone has bathroom urgency issues. The seating was old wooden church pews…which was not comfortable at all.

I hate to do this but this heartbreaking .about a year ago this used to be my everyday meal , came back to town and first stop was here to grab a sandwich like the old days .. sandwich came out with hair on it ..whatever took it to the cashier the first one was very understanding and said “ sorry we will make you another one “ he gave it to his what I can assume his boss who took the order and he just rolled his eyes with attitude and said “ oookay” rather then make it right .. not acceptable, response on his behalf .. long story short they made me another sandwich. The kicker is walking into the place , had to maneuver two homeless people at the door , smelling aweful , talking to themselves and smelled like weed ..whole place smelled like Body odor , overall it wasn’t a good experience this time around .. I’m fair and I love this place so I will try them again during the week again because I’m used to this place being nothing but wonderful

Sat here for 30 minutes waiting for 4 coffee drinks. Ask why it was taking so long. They said that they were making them in batches. Meaning that our drinks kept getting pushed back. This is not how you service people. It should go and order that people have came in.

I've eaten here many times in the few years I've lived in the area. The food is simple, but always good, and the staff are always friendly. I've seen other reviews where people complain about the staff being rude, which I have never experienced.

This review is two stars, because today I went in and there was a guy in line yelling and generally making me (and probably others) uncomfortable. He seemed to know every staff member's name and they seemed to know him, so I'm assuming he's a regular. I don't really blame the staff, because I'm sure there's not much they can do, and they're just trying to be friendly. However, if I were the manager or owner of the establishment, I would have asked this guy to either shut up or leave. He did at least fade into the background for a bit while at his table, but he popped back up to shout some 80's hits at the staff and stumble around in front of the trash can while I was trying to leave. Note that I don't think the guy was mentally ill or anything, just loud and obnoxious, with no regard for people around him.

Anyway, I know this isn't the fault of the restaurant, but, if the regulars make the place unpleasant, it's effectively the same as just having a bad restaurant, from a customer's perspective at least.

I guess I'm now going to have to double check to make sure this guy isn't there every time I go in. Fortunately, he's easy to spot - he'll be the guy standing by the counter yelling.

Spent many years going to this shop in Menomonie when I lived there and went through college. Revisited the restaurant on a trip with my significant other. Drove quite a bit out of the way due to the fond moments I’ve spent there in the past. The restaurant has definitely had some great changes over a short time and is one of the worst places I’ve been to in a long time. Seems to be the workers at the shop who want to portray themselves as peace loving hippies are some of the most rude and unfriendly employees I’ve ever seen working in the food service industry! Any question was answered with a snide remark. Ordered chilly and it arrived ice cold. I went up to the counter to address the cold chilly and I was told that I got exactly what I ordered. Every person in this establishment just had a terrible attitude towards anyone that wasn’t in their click. Ordering water isn’t even an option. Your only option is to buy bottled water $$$. Tried to order a whole sandwich only with no mayo on half the sandwich. The rude employee taking the order wouldn’t let us order that. We had to order 2 half sandwiches for an additional $4.00 just to get no mayo on half. I will never visit this restaurant again! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone ever again! Pretty sad because this restaurant used to be one of my favorite places to visit. I’d drive miles out of the way to stop and eat there. This last visit and the combined experience with the food quality, very rude employees, and ridiculous concepts to swindle people for every single penny they can has definitely made me never want to visit this restaurant again. Every aspect that one goes to a restaurant for was absolutely unacceptable! Do not go to this restaurant!

A couple buddies of mine and I took a trip down here to relax. A family friend suggested that we go here, saying their Hoagies were very good. We came around 11:45 on a Sunday. It was busy, but the atmosphere was very nice. Felt open and was pleasing to the eye.

When we came to the counter, the cashier was very friendly, and we chatted for a bit. We ordered three 6 in. Hoagies, nachos and a couple drinks. Drinks came out fine, and they were pretty good, but nothing to be ecstatic about. And even though it was busy, we waited longer than expected for our food with the waitress forgetting our orders. Seemed a bit flustered, but that's nothing against them.

The food did not meet our expectations. When we got our hoagies, they came out barely warm, and just looked like a sandwich you might put together in 1 minute. My buddy received his nachos a short time after, and they looked terrible. It looked like a bag of shredded cheese was put over some chips and then microwaved. We could pick up a chip and the whole thing would come up with it. He did not finish them and genuinely upset him.

I might recommend someone to come and try this place because maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the experience was not the best.

This place is super chill and a great place to study.
