This is our new favorite place.

My go-to sushi place. The variety is exceptional and the price for it is a good value. I've been there numerous times and filled up on mainly sashimi without getting food poisoning a single time. The staff is friendly, the anime atmosphere is fun, and it all comes out in a timely manner regardless of how busy it is. It's got great options for when you want raw fish and your friend wants something else!

LOW SODIUM ALERT: If you or any family have low sodium needs, this is one of the rare places that do NOT add unnecessary salt to their rice nor batter! Absolutely amazing for people with specific diets.

I've been to many sushi buffets around the one, and this one of the best sushi buffets in Wisconsin, worth driving over an hour! The sushi is always fresh and there's lots of other options for any appetite too. Great for lunch or dinner.

I hope they always stay in business and keep their quality high as usual.

Tried going here a few times and there's always been a problem: They close over the lunch hour for some reason. Had to seat myself because they had no host and the rest of the staff just ignored us. Almost all their sushi has shellfish in/on it and the rolls that don't are without a list of ingredients meaning you end up just googling half the menu. The worst part though is that they wont sell you a-la-carte sushi rolls if you're eating in the restaurant, Only if you're getting takeout. They will only allow you the all-you-can eat option which is close to $40/person with a soda and the tip. I've given up on this place; there's better sushi places nearby.

Akame Sushi is a fabulous place and might be my favorite new restaurant. They provide an easy to use tablet for ordering whatever you want, as it is all you can eat. It's a mind scrambler because everything is fresh with mega flavor. So many choices that even go beyond sushi! The food looks totally amazing as well, and it arrives in a timely manner. The ambiance is great, and the staff is very friendly as well. They are conveniently located near shopping centers and the big movie theater. I can't wait to go back and try everything else. They might have to roll me out of there.

I really enjoy this sushi place in Appleton, and I come here often with my brother. I believe that there are lots of food options to choose from for those who like sushi, and even for those who don't. I'm okay with sushi, but I really enjoy their vegetarian rolls and noodle dishes. They also have a great selection of appetizers. The servers are always really nice, and the food always comes fairly quickly. Only complaint I have is that the bathroom isn't always clean.

I was in town visiting from St. Louis. A local friend recommended this restaurant, and I brought a crew of 6 family members to eat. We don't really have all you can eat sushi restaurants in St. Louis, and I didn't know that to expect. The taste and quality blew us away, it was so good!

They have a unique ordering system with a tablet. You can see pictures of the rolls, and get descriptions of what is in each of them. They also have appetizers like crab rangoon, gyoza, and spring rolls, as well as fried rice and hibachi options. They are fast with the orders, and it was all delicious!

I had fried bananas for dessert, and that was also tasty. I got so absorbed in eating, that I forgot to take more pics beyond the first round of sushi. It was such a great value I overdid it and was uncomfortably stuffed. 10/10, I highly recommend, and I'll be back the next time I'm in town!

I cannot begin to express how good the “Fresh Orange” is. Never in my 23 years of living had I had an orange that sweet, genuinely a delicacy to behold.

Have been here before and normal it’s amazing. But I Was just in an hour ago with my family celebrating my cousin graduation and I got raw chicken in the habachi all you can eat. Currently now I have food poisoning while at home. I told the server the chicken was raw just to let them know to keep an eye on it and was met with rude attitude
“Yeah and?”
I’m a server myself and I get nothing can be done cause it’s a buffet and I was still trying to eat other things but just a

I have been coming here since they’ve opened in Appleton after trying the Eau Claire location, I would say 25 visits in all and I must say i usually prefer the dinner menu since you get more selection but mainly sashimi. The lunch menu is still good but I’m a sashimi lover. If you plan out your order that you can conveniently order on a tablet on your table you can enjoy a steady flow of food out of the kitchen and sushi chefs. Food is typically excellent and if something isn’t right just let them know to remake it. Keep in mind this is an AYCE style self serve order restaurant so you don’t get the typical waitstaff service. I would highly recommend Akame in Appleton and Eau Claire which are the only 2 locations I’ve been .

Food and atmosphere is always great, but the service could be better. My little family and I went in today and was serve by Nikki/Nicky again as what I’m told by the hostess at front desk. Nikki/Nicky is usually in a ponytail, earbuds in, and short in height. This is the second time we had to deal with her poor customer service and snobbish behavior. She doesn’t seem to understand how to warmly greet customers, check in on her table, or offer to ask anything as far how our meal is, or if we need anything. The next visit, I will definitely make sure we don’t get Nikki/Nicky again!

I ordered takeout and had ordered several special rolls. Two of the rolls had avocados in it. When I ordered, I put down for one of the rolls for no avocado. They had called me to tell me that there was another roll I ordered with avocado and wanted to make sure that I wanted avocado in that one. I had a $65 order for my daughter and I. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll WITHOUT cucumber but it showed up with an insane amount of cucumber in it. Their cucumber is shredded so it can't be easily removed without destroying the roll so I didn't even get to eat it. Since doing chemo I cannot eat cucumber shredded as it makes me sick. The container smelled like cucumber as soon as I opened it so that was nauseating. A few pieces of my daughters roll had completely brown avacado on it as well. So gross. I won't be ordering or eating here again. When you spend a lot of money on food you should at least get what you ordered. Really dissatisfied.

I’m only giving 1 star because I have to. I did not eat and the restaurant seemed clean. But the service was HORRIBLE! I went to dine with some of my family. I do not eat seafood but their menu clearly has other options so I was ok with going. I have done this in the past with friends at other places. I advised them I was not doing sushi but ordering off the menu other options. She told me I couldn’t that food was to go only. That dine in was sushi only. We asked if I could order to go then sit n eat with my family. Both the waitress and the manager said no that’s their rule. Mind you IT IS NOT ON THE WEBSITE or LISTED ANYWHERE because if I knew this before hand I would not have joined my family. Their website has order online options for location and then the menu showing ALL options!!! They also already add on TIP so NO need to tip them. Mine was $13 added on for 2 people 😬 plus tax.

Coming back from a packer game and decided to try this place out. It’s an all you can eat place and it was worth every penny. For dinner it was about $30 per person, but the quality of food and speed of service makes it one on the best places around.

I absolutely love this place. It is my go to, eat out, buffet. I’m not kidding I will go here every month. First let’s start off with the interior design. The buffet’s theme is the anime “One Piece” so it has these beautiful paintings and decorations on the wall, along with plates that were inspired by the anime. Plus, the food is also named/inspire after the characters too which is so so fun!

For context, you order from a tablet (which is so easy and fast to do), so your server won’t come up to your table to order your food. I like this very much as they don’t bother you. They’ll just come get your empty plates and ask if everything is going well. Plus, all my servers that I’ve had were friendly.

The food here is definitely one of my favorites. Everything is so different and diverse with ingredients that there is something for everyone.

There are some cons though, but they don’t affect me that much. Some of the seats are kinda dirty and dusty, and it is quite small too. However, the pros are always outweighing the cons for me here so I don’t mind.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, cheap, easy meal to go to here.

Been here several times and each time the food always hits. I do wish there were more sushi roll options however I wouldn't say that there menu is small. There are several options to choose from. My favorites are the appetizers! Such as the tempura shrimp,
and the mangoes on there are refreshing. Service and food is quick as well, it is more tech based as you order through an iPad. However, I prefer this method as it allows efficiency and independence. Servers also don't socialize as much with tables but I don't think that is a problem because it allows them to focus on their work and allows tables to not be interrupted often. I would definitely feel comfortable coming here to eat alone. The place is clean, and the booths are laid out nicely, with good use of space where you're not too close to others. This is one of my favorite places to go for ayce for the food, price, and atmosphere.

We went to this establishment for my sisters 12th birthday. She does not have an ID, school ID or any kind of identification proving her birthday or age to receive the 50% discount that they advertise on their door. Both the waitress and manager provided no solution as to providing her with a discount and became a bit rude when explaining.

Additionally, the waitress was impatient with us upon asking questions about the food items and acted as if we were a nuisance.

Lastly, there was a mandatory 18% tip since there were four adults and two kids. Normally, I would understand however, we order on the tablet and often the food was run out by other servers.. so I do not think this makes much sense as our server did not do much for us.

I’ve been several times now and I just love the food and the simplicity of ordering off the iPad. You get a picture of everything and you can order as you please. Food comes out quick!

This is an all uou can eat situation. You pay the set price (varies for lunch and dinner). You order of the menu from a tablet (electronic) and they bring your food as ordered. Its much better than a buffet and they have a good selection on the menu that spans well beyond sushi, sashimi, or hand rolls. I have been here a few times and will certainly go back for more.

Definitely the cleanest and best sushi in town. There are other good sushi places but Akame by far is the best when worrying about contamination.
They are also very efficient, kind, and attentive.
I tell everyone I can about them when someone mentions wanting to go out for sushi.
Also, the fact they have good miso is really great. Absolutely wonderful.

Since our regular go-to sushi place was closed, we tried this place for the first and last time. We got six orders of rolls to go. Everything was dry and bland. Plus, they only gave us a small ramkin with a pitiful amount of wasabi and ginger for the size of the order. Worse, half of the ginger was coated in wasabi, making it useless. These should be store separately, and please don’t be stingy with the wasabi. There was also a ramkin of weak, gross “spicy” mayo. If you value quality sushi, this is not it.

Food was delicious. We hadn’t ordered much before our waitress was pushing us to pay the bill. Asked if we were ready to pay as we were still looking at the iPad..so we did and left still hungry. Good food, pushy waitress. 5/10.

Our 1st time visiting and there was such a wonderful ambiance when we entered inside. I loved that the menu was on an ipad and we would just order what we wanted from there. Service was excellent and food was served timely evrything. The sashimi is so fresh and buttery here. I love AYCE sushi and this place did not dissapoint!

First time here I brought my grandma and her sister to lunch here and it was very delicious, I loved the tablet menu system because it was very similar to the kiosks at my work, my grandma was very confused at it for a while but she caught on fast and this place is perfect for going out with friends and family I will come back and bring some people because of there cheap and delicious food. I had 4 different rolls when I visited and I ate all of them and cleaned the plate along with edamame and some dumplings. This restaurant made me leave with a full belly and I didn’t need to sell a kidney I will be recommending this place.
