A nice little diner with good diner fare. I had corned beef hash and eggs that were very nice. I ordered my bacon burnt (if you're ashamed to give it to the dog, it's just right for me) and they delivered! Most places don't believe me and I just get regular crispy bacon.

I had been going here on a regular basis. It was good for a while. I always substituted fruit for the hash browns. This week they stated that it was an extra $2.50 for fruit. My eggs the last 2 times are cold, not even warm. They charge $3 for a soda that comes in a small glass. Getting refills has been a challenge. Definitely finding some place else next Sunday

We have been going to the allouez Cafe for year's and years. We will no longer be going. 3 strikes and we are done. Food the last 3 visits was terrible for both of us. The service 2 out of the 3 times was terrible. Never checked on and had to ask for our check. Our plates had most of the food left on it which should have been a huge sign there were issues, but no, just asked if we wanted a to go box. That is when we told her our issues with the food. No one cared. We won't waste our money there anymore and it saddens us because it was one of our go to places

Been coming here for decades -- waitresses have come & gone, but Kelly the waitress takes the crown as best. kind, welcoming, etc...you can see she even treats her co-workers with the same respect. We like to see that. We don't get to come here often, but when we do - we're never disappointed. They really are the "Heart of Allouez".

We saw this restaurant had decent reviews, so I decided to try it. Pulling into the parking lot, my wife said "Are you sure?". "Umm. . . Let's try it. ", I replied.
We were all glad we did. It was delicious.
Large portions, good value, great service.
And, as we're on a Gluten Free diet, we we're thrilled to learn they had several GF bread types that were all good and only a minimal upcharge. They were even happy to make GF French toast.
We loved it and will be back!
Tiny caveat. Coffee was pretty typical weak coffee that Srs tend to drink. Just so you know.

Had a large group (10+). Got flack for wanting to all sit together. They refused to put another table together. Sent a food item back as it wasn't cooked right, waitress walks away muttering unsavory comments as she's leaving. Too bad people in the group heard them. Servers with poor attitudes=smaller tips from us, sorry. The other waitress (our group had 2) was amazing, which is the ONLY reason I rated at 3 stars. I mean seriously, over medium eggs (as ordered) come out over hard... afraid to send them back because of the nasty attitude of our waitress. Was NOT a pleasant experience dining there.

This place was the worst place I have ever been to. We sat had our drinks, then be ignored. While not only did people after us be seated and waited on but got their meals. Just to be ignored to the point of us sitting there 30 min to which me and my wife just walking out. We will never return, stay away!
It's apparent this place lacks professional service skills. Just to stand around and talk to their friends who come in. Mcdonalds service was way better across the street!

I love this place. I have been going to the Allouez Café since I was a small child. My grandmother wpuld take us there for hot chocolate and grilled cheese sandwiches. The place has not changed much in that time, and that's a wonderful thing. Everyone who works here is really kind. The food is tasty, classic Americana. It is just a really nice place to sit and enjoy a meal and a cup of coffee. I love it.

This is a quintessential diner. Also lots of Packer decor. The wait staff were very friendly and we were able to get a table quickly on a Sunday morning. Coffee was hot and the food was made quickly. I had an egg scramble and my husband had an omelet which were both good. The scramble was a bit greasy for my tastes but still good. Also had to salt it for some extra flavor. All in all not bad if you know what to expect.

I came in a few weeks ago and wasn’t going to write a review because this is such a seemingly beloved place in my new city, but I just couldn’t stop thinking about my experience here. It was a pretty busy Sunday when my husband, mother in law, and myself came in. The restaurant just looks old, and smells very musty. I didn’t care so much, but it was definitely a little off putting. We are seated and then wait for a very long time for our waitress. Also fine, I get that it’s busy on a Sunday. We have time to look over the menu and I spotted a dish that has mushrooms, when the waitress arrived I asked if the mushrooms are canned or fresh. She rolled her eyes and said canned and the continued on to tell me that she couldn’t afford fresh mushrooms. As a customer I was very taken aback by her attitude. I said hey I get it I’m a chef things are expensive right now, and then she was demanding to know where I work. I was very uncomfortable at this point. So I just ordered my food. What I got was a terrible scrambled egg, that was flat and over cooked. I honestly wish I would have just had breakfast at home. Hopefully this place can bounce back from their financial issues and hire better staff.

We haven't eaten here in s while. This was my wife's favorite place for biscuits and gravy until today. The gravy was quite poor! What used to be a peppered gravy is now a thick gravy with green specks in it. Very disappointing.

I will say that I had a very good breakfast. This is the cafe scramble with crisp hash browns and cinnamon raisin toast. The food hit the spot. The service was excellent. The only concern that one may have ( I have also included the bill) is that a side of bacon (ordered crisp) is $3.85 and the fountain drink, $2.50, was 43% of the bill. Overall, this place is cozy and quiet and is still my favorite breakfast place.

It breaks my heart to write this. My family has been coming to the Allouez cafe since 1984. My wife, 1 year old daughter, and sister arrived before my 83 year old father and my step mother. My dad has Alzheimer’s, and is very slow. Because we were not all together, the hostess refused to seat us at a table big enough for the 6 of us. She snapped at us that she “didn’t know what to do with us” and refused to seat us at a table. We needed to start eating because of the baby, so she sat us at a small table. It was very confusing- especially because there was another table with enough seats just sitting empty. Then my dad and stepmom arrived, and the hostess instructed our server to squeeze extra chairs around the tiny table and force us to make do even though we were all clearly cramped. Meanwhile, the bigger table that could accommodate us continued to stay empty. My father eats very slowly and needs to be told how to eat his food, with constant reminders and guidance. My 1 year old became squirmy and wanted to spread out a bit from the cramped table. She ended up touching an empty booth’s place mat to which the hostess snapped at my wife saying “you’re making my job harder!” My wife tried to reset the placemat to which the hostess snapped again and told her “now I have to sanitize that.” My family was treated with disdain and utter contempt from whoever was hosting on Sunday, July 2nd. Would love to talk to the owners and find out if this is the way you intend to run your restaurant- with disdain toward kids and elderly, disabled people? Sincerely, a lifelong customer.

I recently visited the Allouez Cafe in Green Bay and had a fantastic experience. Our server was incredibly personable and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. She was friendly and attentive, but never made us feel rushed. The food was absolutely delicious and the quaint atmosphere of the cafe added to the overall great experience. It's kind of like a throwback to the 90s in terms of setup. The food is excellent! Only thing to consider is that wait times can be long because the atmosphere is more relaxed and chill in contrast to the down to business attitude that modernized restaurants have. This is a very typical type of place we look for. Stuck in a strip mall, a little off the path, bunch of local cars in the lot, count us in. We generally are not disappointed in that formula and it worked again here. Clean if dated facility.
