Overall it was OK. Small non-biting bugs in the rooms managed to get into the beds, likely indicating improper sealing. It can be as simple as a window wasn't properly sealed, or the door is just a bit too small and may need a rubber strip. Beds were somewhat comfortable. The A/C was very iffy, it was either hot or cold. No in-between. In one room, the A/C blows directly into your face, resulting in a very uncomfortable rest. This can be easily remedied by rotating the bed to have the A/C pointing towards the feet. Very helpful staff. Staff helped with ice, luggage, and coolers. A bit pricey. Real close to the bay, which is nice, but pack bug spray for the mosquitos!

We arrived late and check in was still a breeze. The cabins were clean, and we'll appointed. It was everything I could have asked for. The front porch was perfect both day and night.
We attended the most beautiful and impressive wedding I have ever been to. It was perfect!!! If there were any glitches, nobody could tell.
The food was exceptional and so was the service.
The weather was very cooperative.
Thank you Alpine!!!!

Attended the copper box band event in your large tent area this evening. Awesome band and space. Unfortunately, a severe storm rolled in about an hour after the band started. There was no announcement about severity of storm or where we could move to safely shelter. We were told to leave in midst of wind pouring rain with no direction where to move. Pls review plans with your staff on how to handle these situations.

We recently had our wedding at Alpine and could not be more happy and grateful for the service, experience & care we were given while there. We loved having every cottage booked with our friends and family. It was the best summer camp experience! Every single member of this team went above & beyond for us. Ashne is the sweetest event planner, Shane & Becky are the kindest bar tenders, Debbie, Jim, Jackson and every other staff member truly made us all feel like we were right at home. We will never forget how special we felt the entire weekend. Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams! Please donβt take this amazing and special place away from this community! Weβll always love the Alpine!

We didnβt stay at the resort but it sure is a lovely place. We came to hear the music. Unfortunately the rain came in hard and they had to shut the event down for safety. They sure did a great job keeping us safe and dry in the big tent. We will be back. Always a great time.

This Dirty Dancing style resort has sweet little cottages with tiny kitchenettes on the lake. It's a hot spot for weddings, be aware when booking a Thursday - Saturday the crowd will likely be celebratory. They have creature comforts such as window unit AC and ceiling fans. The porches are handy and often have adirondack chair style seating.
The cottage was updated and was suitable.
Be aware of the Ace Hotel style wall hanging rack. While it's handy, it's a hazard for heads. It would be helpful to have other shelving or hooks, especially in the bathroom and both bedrooms. The king beds and sofa are XL for the space. It would be more suitable for a smaller sofa and an occasional chair with an ottoman.
The restaurant was below average for morning beverages - basic coffee and tea, no milk alternatives. It's probably best to go into town for coffee. We did not eat at the restaurant.
The tennis/pickle ball court is in need of maintenance. The old main lodge is not in use and is in disrepair. It's a beautiful building.
We were told by locals that the resort is moving to the golf course and the lake shore property will be developed into condos. Enjoy it while you can!
Egg Harbor is walkable - less than a mile.

Had a wonderful stay at Alpine Resort. The service was wonderful and everyone was so friendly! The flowers were beautiful and they were just changing out with mums for the season. The resort was so peaceful - a perfect getaway. My husband and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary here and we couldn't have asked for a better stay!

I went there to look the place over. Haven't been there since 1983. Cabins are renovated and open. The main lodge is under renovation. Hopefully they restore it to its original charm. Pictures are of the lodge that has not been renovated. Grounds are peaceful.

My husband and I stayed at the clubhouse for our anniversary. The only pictures I saw were of the beautiful lake front resort and thought βThe golf course must be right next to the building.β WRONG! The clubhouse is located OFF the water in a tiny shack. If you do, unfortunately, stay at the clubhouse, youβll be greeted by absolutely no one just A LOT of spiders. I felt very unsafe during my stay-the doors into the clubhouse hallway were always unlocked, the doors to the rooms didnβt have a deadbolt lock (just the tiny door handle lock) and our window was open when we arrived to our room. I hardly slept due to the sketchy vibes of this place-a horror movie in the making. There was also no hot water, only Luke warm. When I told the staff about this, they said thereβs a button you have to press to force the knob to turn further?? Odd design in my opinion and Iβm sure theyβve heard about the lack of hot water before. The rooms were pretty but absolutely so not worth the price! I wouldβve rather spent my money on a place where I felt safe!!! I would not recommend alpine clubhouse to anyone-not even for lunch. We stopped at the Burtons on the Bay for lunch and felt like a kid at camp, food was bland and very unimpressive. Truly felt scammed by my entire experience, donβt be a fool and avoid booking or eating at this place at all costs.

We absolutely loved this place. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath cabin. They are redone and very modern. The staff is incredibly friendly. Offering to shuttle you anywhere on the property or even into town. Great restaurant right on the bay with incredible views. Free propane fire tables by the water. Walking distance to the beach. Very quiet and peaceful. Great spot for a getaway.

We didn't stay here, we just went for dinner. You couldn't ask for a better location! Right on the bay. Watch the boats float by as you enjoy a wonderful menu. Our waitress was fun, knowledgeable, and professional. Highly recommend!

We had our daughter's wedding at Alpine Resort and it was just wonderful! Many of our guests stayed on the property where we rented out all 29 cottages, which meant we had the whole place to ourselves - a sort of "wedding campus" (except for the restaurant which was open to the public). Ashne and her staff were fantastic in making our guests' stay very special. They were also on site to make sure the reception went smoothly, as well as a Welcome Party we planned for Friday night in the private dining room/outdoor porch. Chandra, our event planner thru Door County Event Planners was key to setting up all the details of the reception and making sure it was all in order for the day of. She and Ashne coordinated the arrival and set up with the florist, baker, photographer, and the band. With so many moving parts, there were some glitches in communication, as to be expected, but nothing that changed the beauty of the weekend.
The setting for the Friday night party, wedding ceremony and the reception were simply spectacular - we were right on the bay with views of the sunset for both evenings, and it was the perfect backdrop for the afternoon ceremony. I can't say enough about our experience at Alpine. My daughter and her now husband said it all.... it was the best weekend of their lives!

Stayed June of 2024 in the "Kansas" cabin.
This was the most romantic and intimate vacation my partner and I have ever taken! The cabin itself was cleaner, and nicer than some Hilton's that we've stayed in! Every square inch of the cabin was sparkling clean, and immaculate. You can tell when deep cleaning is done regularly, and it shows. The ceiling fans and AC kept us more than comfortable on the warm evenings. I don't remember the last time we slept so well. The bed was so comfortable, and the cabin was so quiet. We didn't hear a single noise outside of our cabin in the 3 nights we were there. The wooden blinds kept the room nice and dark even on a sunny morning so we could sleep in.
The grounds of the resort were clean and very well maintained. One night we got dinner at the restaurant, and watching the sunset over the water while we ate dinner was so romantic. We had another couple take pictures of us with the sunset behind us that could easily have been wedding pictures done by a professional photographer.
If you and your partner are looking for a romantic getaway, you HAVE to stay at the Alpine in their newly renovated cabins!

We would highly recommend Alpine Ridge to anyone visiting the area. We stopped for lunch after taking a look at their tasty menu. The food and wait service was amazing. The steak bites and fish tacos were to die for! We had the perfect weather to sit out on the deck and enjoy the water. Even if that was the end of our experience we would have been extremely satisfied. Of course life threw a curveball and when we went to leave we had a flat tire. After struggling to get our spare off, Steve the maintenance manager was gracious enough to offer assistance. He was able to help us trouble shoot and get us back on the road in no time! He even suggested a good shop to take the tire to for repair. We cannot say enough good things about this establishment and their staff. We will be stopping back on our next adventure!

Thank you thank you Carrie, Chandra, and Ashne for helping make our wedding weekend the best weekend of our lives!!!!!! Iβve never attended a wedding nor have my friends and family where everyone left as new friends with eachother including the entire staff at Alpine!! No better way than being in Door County in early fall at The Alpine and feeling like we were in a movie the entire time.
From Check in with the wonderful Alice and Quinn and those warm coockies on Friday to seeing the Kress set up for our welcome party. It was so stunning and a perfect way to start an unbelievable and fantastic wedding weekend, with endless bonfires and laughs. Every detail was stunning and the staff formed was delightful.
The wedding day was true perfection; The dance floor was packed the entire night and every guest of ours said it was the best wedding theyβve ever been too. Huge credit to you all. Loved the cocktails and charcuterie, huge praise for the curds and pizza, the food was just so delicious and like I said the entire staff at Alpine made a HUGE difference!
We had no clue about how attentive the golf cart staff would be. Tom & Mark, specifically are imprinted on our hearts. We all really appreciate how lovely they were all weekend we were well taken care of, they even helped my family set up the day of the wedding, drove us all around Egg Harbor, and really let us enjoy the Alpine and the bonfires as our own home! In true Door County fashion they made us feel like Family immediately.
Ashne, you are an angel. Thank you for being so sweet and helpful throughout the whole day. It was truly seemless and I never felt like the day rushed by, we felt so present and enjoyed every single moment throughout the day. Canβt thank you enough for checking in with all of us throughout the night and for the comforting hugs!!
We are over the moon!!!
Thereβs so much more to say but this whole weekend was the best weekend of our life. We are excited to visit you all and say hi and thank you again and will highly recommend your team to close friends and family. We heard from many guests that they plan to come back to Door County but more specifically come back to the Alpine and make a new tradition.

Under New Ownership and mostly remodeled or restored as of 2021
Planning a family reunion for next June 2018. I toured the resort with owner Emily and she was very accommodating and had some good ideas for me to ponder. We will have 60+ family members with a great diversity of room needs, Emily was happy to show me all options, in person. There are options ranging from one bedroom motel unit, 3 bedroom cottages on property and many rental homes, that they manage, near by. This is old world resort on the waterfront that has a great restaurant/supper club, with weekly entertainment and a decent sized dance floor. The resort has many, cottages of all sizes and all with a screened porch and wetbar. There is a grilling area and a great town beach next door, with beach rentals. The bay of Green Bay and harbor views are great and will have fantastic sunsets. The attached 27 hole golf course has two bluff levels and is beautiful. Two blocks and your in the town of Egg Harbor, which lacks nothing. Myself and 62 of my family members from around the country, did infact have a week long stay here, and it was delightful! The Resort is now a much more upscale property and is a very fine one. The rates are substantially more now.

Our wedding at the Alpine was a dream come true! Having both grown up in the area, it was important to us to have Door County be a part of our big day. There is no better spot for a lifelong memory and to take in Door County. The venue is unreal with a fantastic view of the bay, gorgeous sunsets, and Door County scenery. The service was top notch from the planning all the way through the event. They put our needs first and there was always someone asking if we needed anything. They made everything so seamless which was very much appreciated during a very busy time. The service, the food, the lodging, and the views all met our expectations and more. We couldnβt be any happier with our decision to have our wedding at the Alpine and we would definitely recommend them to anyone!

We had our wedding in here in October of 2023, and we cannot recommend The Alpine highly enough. From the planning process up through the wedding, the process was easy, enjoyable, and beautiful. We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at peak fall season, and the resort itself is gorgeous and well located a short distance to the Egg Harbor downtown.
We have heard from each of our guests that one of the best parts of our wedding was having all of the cabins onsite so people could get to know each other and hang out together on-site all weekend. We had a golfing outing on Friday with our rehearsal dinner at Burton's on the Green, our reception at Burton's on the Bay on Saturday and then finished the weekend with brunch on Sunday morning at Burton's on the Bay.
Another highlight of the weekend, that our guests keep raving about also, is the incredible service of the entire staff at The Alpine. From shuttling people around in the golf carts, to crafting excellent Old Fashioneds, the staff couldn't have done more to make all of our guests feel welcomed.
The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, and we heard 0 complaints from our 100+ guests that stayed onsite. We genuinely could not have asked for more from The Alpine for our wedding, and we look forward to going back for anniversaries in the future.

Update: We just stayed the weekend and had such an enjoyable and relaxing time at the Alpine Resort in egg harbor. I love the cabins, they are so clean and freshly renovated. Like a little home away from home.
This weekends getaway was all about rest and relaxation. We did lots of walking and found some great shops within walking distance. When we came home for the evening, it was great to unwind and enjoy the peace and quite of the cabins. The bed and pillows are so comfortable and slept amazing.
The fall color was spectacular and smell of fall is in the air. October is a special time in door county. We look forward to our next trip.
Wow, we love the new Alpine. The cabins and lodge and most everything is being updated.
The cabins are great. We are in a newly updated 1 bedroom and everything is awesome. We are right in front and have a great view of greenbay from our room.
The lodge and restaurant is also being updated and love it. The view of the bay is spectacular morning and evening. The staff are amazing and treating us like we are vip. Everyone is so nice and immediately get to treating us like we are old friends. I love it.
This weekend they are having free concerts and we're enjoying coming back to the resort after a day of exploring. It's so nice to end the perfect day here and walk to our room afterwards.
The rooms are set up with coffee makers to make tea and coffee and also have a mini fridge, microwave and tvs.
Thank you Sherry and all your staff! You guys really are awesome!

I'm so glad I found this resort for our group of ladies. The location was perfect, the staff was fabulous, the cottages were super cute and the beds were comfy, and even they offered go cart service to the cottages and also into town. One of the members in our group wasn't feeling well and the staff went above and beyond and picked her up from a dinner location when we went into town to eat. That was incredible service so that we all didn't need to leave to go back when many in our group were hungry. Thank you for the amazing/memorable weekend that you gave us. We went to Burtons on the Bay and had drinks there and our bartender was friendly , and quick with his service to us and was so nice to talk to - he was from Albania. The resort is beautiful and had everything we needed.

Beautiful location and manicured grounds. Every single staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and willing to help. We went for a wedding and stayed in the recently remodeled cottages. I stayed at the Alpine a few times back when I was a teenager. I have been following along with the updates and new ownership since it sold in 2019. I always knew this place had the ability to be the perfect summer getaway and I am so happy to see that finally happening. When I came here in the early 2000βs it was a time wrap to the 1950βs (not in a good way). |I love how they are updating but still keeping some of the history of the place. The location is a 10/10 and the way the staff keeps the grounds so nicely manicuredβ¦you never see workers just sitting around. They are always doing something. Wiping cob webs off the dock, raking and sweeping non stop. My kids LOVE getting rides all over on the carts. We feel so welcomed and happy while we are here <3|I am definitely looking forward to the next phases. I hear the βhotelβ type rooms are the next phase and that a pool is planned as well. Both will only add to the already great experiences we have had these past two years. |The one thing I hope gets finished up quickly for other visitors sake is the water pump station project happening on the road between the beach and the Alpine. That made it so we really never could walk to town this year, which was a bummer. This is not on the Alpine, just something that we were not expecting. We will be back next year and canβt wait to make it an every year thing!

Bugs in our cabinβ¦check||Stained towels and sheetsβ¦check||Would I stay here again? Nope||||Based on the reviews and the price of the cabins, I thought we would have a great experience at Alpine. I was wrong. The first night in our cabin, I killed at least 40 bugs. All different kinds - spiders, beetles, ants, flying things, etc. I realize that these cabins are in wooded areas, however to feel like bugs were coming out of everywhere was just plain gross. We told the staff the next day and they did spray, however they made a comment that, βnow that the cabins are nice and bright you can see the bugs better!β Didnβt make us feel better. The next two nights werenβt as bad (I killed about 15 bugs) but it made for a very uneasy nights rest. ||||If that wasnβt bad enough, the sheets and towels had stains on them. Even when I requested new ones. ||||Vacation is supposed to be relaxing and this was far from it.

Wow! What an incredible weekend and wedding night!
We cannot thank the Alpine Resort team enough for their help throughout the past year and during our big weekend. From the second we met, Chandra showed the utmost level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail. We knew right away we were in good hands planning our big day. Chandra managed so many responsibilities for us across the Friday night rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks and Saturday's cocktail hour, reception, and after party. Thanks for being on-the-ball with everything along the way and for being so fun to work with! Chandra, Sherry, and team planned and executed all the details better than we could have imagined. We owe so much of the happiness we experienced and the memories we'll hold forever to you all!
Weβd like to also express our gratitude to Dave and the bar staff for their major role in our weekend. We greatly appreciate all the behind the scenes preparation Dave did--getting each of the bars ready to go, carefully trialing and thoughtfully perfecting our signature drinks, and tending bar both nights. He is a familiar face and friend that has been associated with countless memories over the years for so many of our friends, family, and ourselves. He brought a smile to everyone's face this weekend.
The Alpine staff deserves a huge thank you! From the moment our guests arrived, they were greeted with a level of service we've never seen before. From the warm welcomes, to the help unpacking and shuttling guests to and from their cottages, everyone felt right at home thanks to the Alpine team. Our guests recounted plenty of instances where the staff exceeded any expectations we could've had of them--refilling coolers with ice without even being asked, providing rides to town and back at all hours, and a "drop everything and help out" attitude from each individual. Weβd like to express our gratitude to the entire team that was around this weekendβTom, Debbie, and so many others. Additionally, weβd like to thank Chef Tony and Burtonβs at Alpine for delivering an impeccable catering experience with timely, delicious food that all of our guests raved about!
Alpine Resort will forever be a special place in our hearts, and we're sure it will be a destination for countless beautiful weddings to come. Thanks again to the Alpine team, we highly recommend Alpine Resort for any special event!

That was one of the worst shape courses I ever played. The tee boxes were like concrete. And the fairways the same. No water to drink on the course and no drink cart. For $72 we expected more. Fortunately I had some good fellas to play with which helped a lot. The course management though is terrible. Note: My mother in law has such fond childhood memories of playing Alpine so we will be back. I am hoping that there are plans to improve the course.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Alpine Resort last summer, and it could not have been more perfect! The location is beautiful, right on the water, and the tent is so pretty with string lights and wood flooring. We loved having our cocktail hour in the tent and on the grass. It was a bit windy on our wedding day, but they put the clear sides down on one side of the tent to block the wind which made the environment perfect while still allowing us to enjoy the views! ||All of the staff at the Alpine were wonderful and very accommodating. We worked closely with Chandra through Door County Event Planners, and she was fantastic! ||It was so fun having our guests stay in the cottages; they are newly renovated and very nice! Guests had a great time spending time outside with each other, and it was really nice to not have to worry about transportation for the guests to and from the reception. We enjoyed having an "after party" at the bar - it is great that everything is all in one place (e.g., lodging, bar, reception location, ceremony location if desired).||Could not recommend the Alpine more for a wedding! It was the most perfect day and weekend thanks to them!

The Alpine Resort was the most wonderful venue for our September, 2022 wedding. We were exceptionally lucky to get engaged right when dates opened up and were able to plan the most wonderful wedding in a short period of time. ||||The ceremony setting under the trees was really magical and it was wonderful having all the guests in one place staying in the cabins at Alpine. Our weather in September was lovely, and even though it briefly rained, the venue was so prepared they had already moved everything under the tent seemlessly. We were rewarded with a phenomenal rainbow that made the brief downpour worth it. ||||Door County Event Planners were also great. They provided recommendations for our photographers, caterer, florist, cake baker and band in an incredibly short period of time. All were amazing - but I really especially was in love with the flowers and the gorgeous flower arch that was so unique and perfectly matched the florals of our invitations. (Flora flower shop). I believe our wedding planner's husband actually built the wooden arch as well.||||Everyone was so wonderful and easy to work with and the event itself was perfect. As my new husband and I entered our cabin at night we noticed that so many of our friends and family were sitting on their cabin porches -at midnight! Everyone was enjoying the calm after the excitement and the moonlight over the lake. It was a beautiful, peaceful getaway for all our guests. ||||Couldn't recommend it more. <3

Last fall We used the Alpine as our wedding venue. It was a weekend family event. Most of us stayed in the refurbished cabins. Very tastefully updated. they kept some elements of the history such as the the bed frames but fully updated the bathroom. There is a comfortable sitting area with a kitchenette. Some of our party took advantage of the beautiful golf course. They were very accommodating to our requests. we were able to rent the tent Friday night for a welcome gathering. Burton's provided delicious pizzas. The toppings and crispy crust were fabulous. They even accommodated our request for a gluten-free option. we ended the evening by showing a movie near the water. The wedding day was so memorable. They handled all our needs effortlessly. We went from ceremony by the water to dinner and dancing in the tent. The staff even took care of moving our heavy wedding arch from ceremony area to tent area so it could be used for pictures. I can't say enough about all the staff. From check in staff to shuttle drivers to restaurant staff, everyone was cheerful and attentive. They partner with Door County Event planner to organize our wedding. They made it an easy process. ||||I wish this place much success.

I contacted the Alpine directly with my thoughts, but never heard back:||||First, I should say my husband stayed at the Alpine every summer as a kid, and I stayed once as a teen. I admit that might affect our views a bit, knowing what βwasβ vs seeing what is now. ||||The cottages are lovely. They absolutely fit a certain aesthetic that would likely appeal to young, millennial families. I donβt know that I personally felt like they fit a woodsy environment, but that's just a personal opinion. Itβs clear there were some high end finishes, like the soft-close cabinets, but it felt rather incomplete and not up to the price point being charged. We paid $2900 for a week, when we could go to the Landmark, where we usually stay, and get a full kitchen for $1000 less. (The Landmark is terribly outdated, yes, but it has multiple swimming pools, walking paths, basketball/tennis courts, a playground, shuffleboards, and electric chargers for guests with EVs.)||||On the day we headed to the Alpine beach, we were so disappointed to find out itβs no longer the property of the Alpine, and now belongs to the village! Our beach day ended up with us between two families with dogs barking at one another on either side of us. In my mind, the beach was the redeeming factor for the Alpine, but thatβs gone. So we were left with no beach, no pool, no tennis or basketball court as it was being refinished, no shuffleboard - I was told that was being refinished too? - and just basically nothing to do on site. ||||For $2900, we essentially had a glorified camping trip in a nice-looking cabin. There were a lot of things that I would have liked, which I know we can get at the Landmark. The kitchen is one big thing, although I know they want everyone to eat at the restaurant, we donβt want to eat out for a week straight! But the cabinets in the cottage arenβt even deep enough to hold a small box of cheerios. The small refrigerator door opened on the wall side, so you couldnβt comfortably see into the fridge and the door would hit the blinds when opening or closing, I wish it opened on the other side. There was a small hole in the floor by the back of the cabinets/bathroom door. No bigger than a dime, but noticeable to me and a potential entry point for critters. The floors were warped and unsettling for people like me with vertigo issues. We really missed having somewhere to put our clothes. The only chest of drawers, which was under the TV, had only 2 large drawers and both drawers contain thick blankets, leaving little room for clothes. The hanging βpipesβ in the bedroom stuck out so far that if I actually hung things on the longer pipe, Iβd have hit my head on the clothes/hangers, anytime I'd get out of the bed (Iβm only 5β7β). We missed having a table in the cottage too. There is no where to sit and play cards, which was a favorite screened in porch activity. ||||Another thing that could be useful, assuming they add a beach and/or pool, would be porch railings to hang wet towels on. The old Alpine had the screened in porches, which we really missed as that was more floor space to put suitcases, bicycles, etc. it felt really low class to walk past everyoneβs open porches filled with coolers, bikes, toys, and even drying racks full of clothes (speaking of which, I do love the laundry that was added!). It truly felt no better than a campsite. ||||Our other big frustration was not being able to park at the cottage like we used to do. I understand this allows for a calmer, safer time for families visiting, but on the hot and/or rainy days, the trek back to the car for forgotten items was so annoying. Yes, there were people around to give rides, but weβre already paying so much to stay, I donβt want to feel obligated to tip a driver! ||||All in all, Iβm glad to see the Alpine is being updated, but for the cost vs amenities, weβll go back to the Landmark next year. It just isnβt worth the priceβ¦yet. One of the employees mentioned a pool coming during phase 2. That will help, but itβs still nothing the other resorts donβt have. Iβd really love to see a private beach there again!||||On the plus side, employees we encountered were all lovely! Definitely hang onto that staff. There is so much potential in that property, but it's just not there yet.

The manager and staff are tremendous here. They go out of there way to accommodate. There resort reminds you of the 1950's I've stayed at the hotel twice and love how each room has its own theme. The cabins were closed for the season both times but would love to go in summer when open.. highly recommend and not hesitate to stay again

We stayed in the cottage named Texas. Nice and roomy! All the amenities needed were provided, and then some! We had a 3 bedroom with all queens. One bathroom. Each room had their own towels provided. Keurig with coffee pods provided. Very impressed with our first stay! Will definitely stay again. The view from our cottage was amazing as well.
All staff we encountered were beyond polite and very friendly. Always a smile, and offering any help if needed.

Trying to find a place to stay for Sister Bay Fall Fest on late notice, I stumbled on Alpine Resort and they had availability, it felt too good to be true to I kept searching and found my way back to The Alpine and I am SO glad I did! This place felt like staying at Kellermans on Dirty Dancing! Absolutely charming, right on the waterfront, the cottages were remodeled and so well done. They were clean and simple and plenty of room! We will be back and we have told all our friends. The bellhop even drove our group to town and picked us back up! What service! 10/10 recommend!

On a fall color ride thru Door County, we attended Pumpkin Patch Fest in Egg Harbor, Saturday Oct 8, 2022. We had a group of four motorcycles and were looking for a place to park that had a paved blacktop lot close to Harbor View park. Alpine Resort offered our group a great parking area on their property and even shuttled us back and forth! Mind you, we were not even staying overnight with them. Talk about hospitality! They welcomed us with open arms. This speaks volumes about an awesome, well managed organization. Would highly recommend Alpine Resort!

My brother and dad stayed for a weekend at one of the cottages and played 18 holes each day. The course was great. Not too easy not too hard, and the scenery was amazing. Some cliffs including an extra hole where you hit on top of a hill, off the ridge, with a great lake view. The cottage was really nice and the staff was great as well. The location is hard to beat, too! Sounds like there are big things ahead and it's definetly worth checking into and checking out.

I love the charm of this old resort. From the wicker furniture in the main area to the old fashion furniture in the rooms. Not to mention the gorgeous view of the Bay from the porch and bayside rooms. Sat. nite, Aug.17th the Melodaires were playing in their bar area and I so wanted to dance , they played the type of music I absolutley love. The pool was very comfortable and clean too.An early Sunday morning walk along the beach area and grounds was also very soothing and relaxing. I know the Alpine is up for sale but if it is still here next summer we definitely are returning!

Old rustic hotel sits in the lake with a beach and a family owned feel, very cute if you donβt mind old decor and no cell signal. Waking up to breath taking views makes staying here worth it. Their breakfast menu is simple home cooked style food is good as is the price. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Location is short drive to shops, restaurants and beautiful bays and beaches.

We stayed 2 weeks ago. Very outdated. Wi-fi advertised it not available in rooms only in lobby. Bed was horrible- sank to middle had to sleep on couch in order to fall asleep, mini-fridge seal had mold in it, lights did not work kept flickering as if they where shorting out. Woke up on checkout day and went to use the bathroom and toilet had flooded all over floor. Went to front desk and told them about issues, ladies were very friendly and apologized stating that this should never happen and that this is not normal for them. She then confirmed my contact info and stated several times that someone would be contact me via email or phone call in a few days about this. I have not received any phone call, email or even a possible credit for all the issues we had to deal with. Not a very relaxing vacation at all. Only plus is the great water view. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

We visited the Alpine Resort on the bloody mary trolley tour 3 years ago and when we decided to visit again this year we wanted to stay at the Alpine. It's really charming how it's kept in its original design and details. It could use a bit of a face lift but keep the old style charm! It's a short walk into Egg Harbor which is nice and convenient so you don't have to search for a spot to park. I'd stay here again, but, if you're looking for the Ritz this isn't the place for you.

Amazing location, but hotel needs to be updated at least a bit. I enjoyed the vintage feel, but it's tired. Wallpapers is old a faded, bathrooms need new caulking since the current is black. I had a good time here, but I feel like at this point the owners just stopped caring about the location.

My boyfriend and I stayed one night (last minute decision) on a Saturday coming from Chicago IL suburb. We have stayed at several places spread out in Door County from Egg Harbour up to Washington Island. This resort was easily booked the night before with the friendly staff member named Emily. The reason I am giving this place a 1 star and not a 2 is because the hotel is not well groomed, outdated decor, wait staff and food.
Spider webs and spiders in every corner I saw on our way to the suite. The room decor was as if it was untouched from 1987. 40" tube tv in the living room and a 15" flat screen in the bedroom suite on top of an antique dresser. 1995 swamp cooler in the bedroom window. The bathroom seemed to be the size of a bathroom that would be inside of a large motorcoach motorhome withΒ laminent flooring. Don't get me wrong, the bathroom was very small but was very clean. The elevator to get to the 3rd floor took about 3 min. to wait and 3 min. to get to the 3rd floor (Super slow). My boyfriend and I decided to eat at the restaurant for dinner. The menu consisted of German food. Waitress was nice but when we asked about the alcohol menu she said they didn't have one. We asked what type of beer they had and if they have German beer but the waitress only named Miller Light and Corona. She said she wasn't sure what other beer they have. She had the hostess come to our table and we asked what german beer they had and she said they dont carry any. She said,"Stella, Spotted Cow, "mexican beer", and a few others". We said you have no german beer in a German based food restaurant and she said no, sorry. That alone was not a good sign. So on to our food. I ordered a beef dinner with a wine sauce that came with veggies and roesti potatoes. I asked the wait staff what type of sauce is on the beef strips and she didn't know. When my food came out the beef was rubbery and the sauce they used tasted like Worcestershire. I didn't say anything about my food other than the roesti potatoes had bacon in it and all the waitress said to me was, "you dont like bacon?". I told her, "I do but I'm not eating breakfast right now and this potatoe isn't supposed to have bacon." The so called roesti potatoes resembled hash browns which had large pieces of bacon and small pieces of onion. As far as I know, roesti potatoes are not made this way but do resemble hash browns. This was not the case here. My boyfriend ordered the weinerschnitzel sample dinner. His pork was very rubbery and the batter on it was wet, the sausage link was cold inside, the red cabbage was hard and the beef strips were...let's say the same as mine were. We told the waitress and hostess about this and the hostess said sorry I'll take this back and get another plate for you. 5 minutes later the waitress brought out his plate. This time the pork was over cooked and the batter on the outside was cooked, the red cabbage was still hard with no flavor and dry, the sausage link looked like they had precooked it and looked like it was overcooked, the beef was super hard to cut with a steak knife. My boyfriend was super disgusted and refused to eat it and let me tell you, he never refuses any food given to him. We told the waitress and she had her hostess come to our table. He told the hostess about the food and so she snatched the plate and looked at the waitress and said just don't charge them for the plate and walked away. No apologies from the hostess, she didn't even say anything to us as we left. Front desk staff was nice but that was about all they had going for them. If you decide to stay or eat, please beware. I know my review for this place is super long but I had to take my time in writing this out because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what we did, let alone we only stayed out in Door County for the one night. I know this Resort is up for sale and if I had the money I would buy it and revamp the whole place, surroundings, staff, restaurant...food and all.

Our party was at two tables. We were only in for breakfast. The waiter was new and certainly not ready for prime time (not his fault). The first table was totally served before we even got coffee. My husband and I left before he got to us (after waiting 20 minutes) because we were going to be late to check out of our hotel. I heard from those who actually ate there that the good was mediocre.

What a great little spot!!! Right after I told my husband I was practically expecting Baby to be in a corner, we turned the corner and there she was! the lady that checked us in and the lady that checked us out were nice. Those were the only things that was nice about staying at the Alpine. We booked a cottage that I was under the impression that we would have a lake view. We did not. It was on a fairly busy road. It said the place was a 1/2 mile from the resort. It seemed more like 1 and 1/2 miles so we were unable to use the bar and/or enjoy the lake view at the resort while enjoying a glass of wine because we would have had to drive back to our 'cabin'. It was a very big let down and definitely colored my experience in Door County. We are not typically complainers and so when we did say something, they said they would check into it... we all know how that works... No discount was given. This place literally deserves negative stars. At first you walk in and think oh this is kind of charming and then you look closer and its filthy, covered in Cob webs, dust, dirt, spiders, etc. And the staff was anything but nice. We had spoke to several other guests that could not wait to leave and that were refused money back if they chose not to stay. The pictures I have provided don't show barely enough at how gross this place was. The restaurant was horrible my boyfriend and I ordered the prime rib special, mine was not ok only over cooked but tasted like soap and his was almost well done, we both ordered medium rare. The waitress was sweet and asked us if we would like anything else and I told her I would still like the prime rib but medium rare. Her manager came over to the table a few minutes later telling us that we could not get our prime rib and more rare than it was because they were pre cut and cooked more on the medium side. If that's the case they should tell you on advance and who does that?? Sew! When we said never mind and we wouldn't get anything else the manager lady got very upset and rude and gave us the cold shoulder after that. When we woke up in the morning it was only to realize that the sheets were so old and fraying and probably dry rotted that we ended up on the very old disgusting bare mattress. We did not shower here as the bathroom was disgusting, the floors were dirty the shower was Mildewed and had someone else's used shampoo bottle in it. When we checked out they never even asked us how our stay was. Our son said the only reason this place didn't have "bad bugs" was because the "bed bugs" were too afraid to stay there too! I wouldn't recommend this place if it were the last place standing in Door County! Please save yourself your money stay somewhere else, and if everything else is booked go camping or sleep in your car. Also they charge you a $1.00 for like a 3oz cup of coffee and if you want a refill its 50 cents!
