A favorite place of ours. Warm & friendly ćrowd & staff. Our hostess Ani, was lovely & very welcoming. Old Fashions were great. Food was hot & lots of choices on the buffet.Terrific salad bar & soup. Mother's Day Buffett was something left to be desired. Food was noticeably less than hot. Only had 1 soda with no refills offered.
With a nice event, how come only 2 vegetables were present and, the salad bar didn't have the usual ingredients? Just bacon bits, croutons, and sliced mushrooms.
Maybe we expected more. However, for $50 & $9 tip, we wanted more than chicken, ribs, and a salad.

Soups were under seasoned. The salad bar was nice and fresh most of the buffet very good. Just a little more seasoning. I understood for lack of seasoning as it's a bulk crowd who may have dietary needs.

Your typical supper club vibe as soon as you walk through the door. The drinks were good (although an old fashioned should never be served in a pint glass!) and the bar service was quick.
We dined at a private party and they had a buffet set up. The food was good, and the people who picked up the empty plates from the tables was very fast.
I enjoyed that we had our own room - complete with a separate bar - just for the party.

Went here on my way through the town for breakfast. Not really expecting a whole lot just a usual breakfast.... wow was i absolutely wrong! I walked into one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had! With everything you could want for breakfast (yes ladies and gentlemen even biscuits and gravy) which were delicious! Plus a salad bar plus dessert! I was so full by the time I left here that I had to sit in my truck for a couple minutes to let it settle some. The staff are very friendly and wow do they run their butt's off! Never did a plate sit at a table nor was your beverage ever empty even though the place was packed. I will absolutely be stopping again, I may even go out of my way to come here again! Don't even get me started on the mouth watering ribs that they have at the buffet!!!!!

I don't hate the place itself. But the food just STINKS! It's not good! I'm not picky either, I'm easy to please. I love the Golden Corral! But I don't go out to eat and give them my money for a meal that tops out at "edible". I only went this time because my party chose here and I didn't want to be a bother. I guess waiting a year to go back and crossing my fingers really hard doesn't work to improve their cuisine. The texture is poor, the flavor is unsatisfying, and there's nothing remarkable about the rest of the experience to justify it. Sorry guys, but I've triple-learned my lesson! Just not great.

First impressions mean everything. My wife and I went there for an anniversary dinner. We ordered a Wisconsin supper club staple. Old fashions. They were not even made from scratch. Bottled mix. That was the first disappointment. We had the dinner buffet. The only thing that was good was the salad. The broasted chicken was cold and dried out. The shrimp was cold and greasy. The pork was over seasoned with pepper. The only dessert offered was slimy pudding. The pork ribs really looked disgusting. I think everything was leftover from lunch. Would never return.

This is my favorite Supper Club. The food is excellent to superb. I love the salad bar. We had several drinks before dinner and the bartenders were friendly and the conversation was good and pleasant. The wait staff was quick, accurate, pleasant, and not overly aggressive during our meal. I love the old school atmosphere from the days when Supper Clubs were the thing to do. This place does it all and offers quite a delightful experience. The only problem with the Buffet is that sometimes the food isn't hot. I had some ribs on Saturday that were actually cold. I still however highly recommend the Altona Supper Club.

Went there for mothers day and Thanksgiving. Both experiences were sub par. There is both are both buffet and menu options but niether are very good. On mother's day I ordered a sandwich from the menu, the bread was soggy, there was pickle juice all over the plate. Wait staff was pretty short but they were busy so bit of a pass. Thanksgiving I had the buffet which is extremely limited, and the food is completely tasteless, it takes a lot of salt to be edible. Also, they were serving some leftovers from breakfast, which i thought was weird and gross being that it was probly in that hot hold for several hours. The space really isn't set up very ergonomically, Getting to and from the buffet is difficult, The desserts are just on a card table, uncovered, by the front door. And that table further restricts traffic making it even harder to get to. The bar area is nice but the dining room atmosphere is incredibly boring. I will not be going again, ever.

Updating past review. I'm not sure what's going on, but the quality of the food here has really gone down. My family and I used to get take out fairly often, support local business- but I have found the food to be inedible. Last time I ordered the chicken Alfredo. The piece of bread was smaller than my fist and the Alfredo sauce was not there- it was mostly noodles that were over cooked. I had 2 bites and tossed the rest. It's a shame, we really used to like coming here but I want to be able to eat the food I spend a good amount of money on.

Ate there about a month ago, at opening time, it was bad. Watery drinks at the bar, table had salt pepper napkin silverware only. Salad bar ok, but found lot of butt pieces in the tomatoes. Food line horrible. Ribs was huge pile of bones with tiny scraps of meat/juice in bottom. Chicken old and dry. Got up to try something else, came back, our table was cleared off...drinks and all! Wth! Places like this give buffets a bad name. Now they catered a party we attended yesterday, everyone hated the food.

Despite a full parking lot, there was a lot of space and plenty of tables and was sat quickly. The service is sending to none with quick refills and taking away any plates or spent items.

I had the brunch buffet. There were some amazing items like the mashed potatoes and broasted chicken, but others were bland or very salty. There are plenty of choices and it's all you can eat, so the great items can be reloaded on your next plate.

Very affordable on top of it all makes this a great place if cooking isn't one of the things you want to put on your to do list.

Was in the area antiquing and decided to try Altona. Went a little before 5pm Saturday and the lot was pretty full. However, we were able to get seated right away. Staff was all very friendly and the buffet had a great selection for a good price. Staff was constantly watching to pull empty plates and refill drinks. The only suggestion I have would be to spread the tables out a little more. If we end up in the area in the future, would definitely go again.

The service was great. Our server was very attentive and check on us a few times. However the food was not great. We got the seafood buffet and almost everything was luke warm, and was not the quality was not great. Someone in our group got a cheeseburger and it was very mushy. It almost seemed like it was all fat and no real meat. The salad bar was a good part to the buffet, it had a large variety of different toppings and many different salad dressings along with 2 different soup. Overall I would not recommend getting the seafood buffet, but maybe try something else on the menu, and add the salad bar.
