We walked in on a busy day at peak time it was so busy in there but we were greeted and dropped off at a table immediately. Waters in a server right away fantastic service the food was so amazing that we went back the next day I tried the fresh squeezed orange juice the French toast was amazing the pancakes were perfect some of the best I've ever had hash browns with crispy bacon was perfect even down to scrambled eggs in the coffee is actually tasty not bitter when we come back out to Wisconsin we are going for sure

Stopped here while in town visiting because the hotel breakfast was awful. They were VERY busy, but got us seated quickly and we were greeted by our server almost immediately. Met a large group of family here the day after a wedding. We had 17 adults and kids. We could tell from the parking lot this was a popular joint. We only had about a 20 minute wait though. The place was packed but the staff was amazingly kind a friendly.
We had the BTA eggs Benedict. It was served with a generous portion of hash browns. I did my best but couldn't finish although it was delicious

Wonderful place to eat breakfast and probably more as well. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, 22 yrs, and decided to have breakfast at Altoona Family restaurant. We came in and quickly an older gentleman waved us over and asked how many in our group, we said 2 and we were seating in less than a minute. Then their kind staff took over and we had Wonderful service. I ordered a classic omelette with hash browns and wheat toast, try their homemade jam, outstanding!
My wife ordered pancakes, 2 eggs, sausage links. We both couldn't finish it all, great portions and delicious food!
I did have the fresh squeezed orange juice, it was great!
Nothing but compliments to everyone who made our little breakfast a treasure.

Great diner experience! We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Service was fast, food excellent. I had the ricotta lemon pancakes with bacon, and a small Oder of biscuits and gravy, and my husband had a waffle, bacon and fresh squeezed orange juice.

Plus there was a elderly man at a single table by the kitchen. Sitting by himself.
Watching. At 1st I felt bad for him.
But then after a little bit he got up because they needed his table. And went in back That when I realized he could be the owner. If he is then he should at least say hi vs starring which is creepy and smile.. Or go to the office.

Meat lovers Omelette was fluffy and full.
Meat lovers skillet was also full and fluffy with hash browns.
Pancakes for $1.50 instead of toast were 10/10, hot, light and fluffy, perfectly cooked.
