I went to their yearly car show. The butterburger was delicious, service was great, and overall a very fun time. You can tell the service is great, even while they were very busy they were very attentive and quick.

We went for Fish Fry Friday yesterday and let me just say. Never again! The food was not Not good at all. The fish was rubbery and bland, the tartar sauce tastes like bland mayonnaise. My aunt woke up this morning extremely sick and feels like she may have food poisoning. I ordered a pizza, you would think simple enough right? Nope, not good at all. When we were getting ready to leave we were asked if we wanted to go containers, no one took their food. We all left so much food on those plates.

Here’s a fun kicker. My mom ordered a sprite. When the waitress brought all the drinks, we asked her which one is the sprite and she was like the one with the bubbles and proceeded to bend over to look at the drinks. 😂 she couldn’t find the bubbles, my mom goes to try it and it tasted like sewer water with syrup. Mam, if you can’t see the bubbles, you may need to go and change the syrup 😮‍💨

We honestly should have known better the restaurant looks like it falling apart, now that I’m thinking back. It also smells like a stale old cigarette home. You know the one where a persons been smoking in there home for years and never lets fresh air in.

I say all that to say, don’t waste your time!

Weakest burger ever. Staff was fantastic and the cook did a great job. But the patty on my burger was about the size of a macdonalds burger. Skimping on the fries too. Clearly the owner is trying to cut corners. The price of the food when compared to the portion….Felt like I got ripped off. More like an afternoon snack than a meal.

Our server was absolutely amazing!! So friendly and helpful! 😊 Soup was clam chowder, however more like clam broth (so watery, new cook ...) Dessert of red velvet cheesecake was amazing though. 1 star for soup, 4 stars for dessert! Shrimp was overcooked (fried, oil too hot perhaps) and garlic bread was grocery store frozen slices warmed up. :(

Although Amelia's has nice old airplane decor, the rest is a bit out dated. The lighting is kept very dark, with too bright, single bulb, lamps hanging in the center of the tables. It was a bit rough on the eyes going from dark, to bright light throughout dinner. I called ahead to be sure they weren't going to be crowded as I know some nights they have karaoke. We just wanted a quiet spot to have dinner and chat. There other several other tables with people, and a number out on the patio, and at the bar. But they spaced people well so it was a nice and quiet for conversation.

Our server was excellent. She was friendly and knowledgeable, knew a lot of the regulars, and stayed out on the floor when not getting food from the kitchen. I order a cup of clam chowder but she didn't want to serve it to me because there wasn't much left and she didn't want to be scraping the pot. THAT I appreciate.

The food was standard bar fare, nothing fancy or special. Don't get me wrong it certainly wasn't bad. I ordered the French Dip and the au jus was a very tasty accompaniment. There could have been more actual roast beef on the sandwich, but it was still good. And they have tater tots. I know it seems like such a small thing, but sometimes I just don't want my potatoes in fry format. Everyone ordered different things and no one had any criticisms, but also no raves either. Standard fare for a casual night out in a neighborhood bar.

We went there yesterday. There were two sets of doors. The first door we went through reeked of cigarettes. When we entered I noticed they still have the same carpet that was there when I was a kid. Having carpet in a bar is dumb because that old spilled alcohol lingers in the air and it's hard to eat while smelling funk. It was a Saturday night and dead. The bartenders were playing a variety of music and but had the volume up WAY too loud. Can't really rate the food. It had no flavor and was undercooked. Our appetizer came out first. We ordered the blooming onion. It was raw, hard, crunchy onion with the middle missing. We sent it back. It came back cold after we were served our main course. My son's sandwich had no flavor what so ever. I've worked in the food industry for a long time. First sight is so important. If it looks terrible it'll probably be terrible. Many years ago their food was amazing. So this was a big disappointment. And a lot of business's would do anything for a great location. You are right across the street from the airport. PLEASE fix this place up or sell it to someone that can. Our waitress was AWESOME 😎 She definitely gets 5 stars! Sorry to be so harsh but this place definitely needs some improvement.

The decor is dated, wallpaper torn in many places, ceiling tiles missing and dirty windows. We had a family gathering and rented the back room. Lots of extra items stored in the place like cornhole boards, tables, chairs and paper towels We had to clear our own plates and silverware. The pizza and salad was very subpar. The pizza crust was extremely thin, and tasted like cardboard. The garlic bread was extremely oily. When you bit into it the oil squirted in your mouth.

Paid for party room from 7pm to 10. Drinking Julia made us cash out tabs By 9pm and began kicking out out family birthday party by 930pm. No one really drinks much alcohol ..no hate. It was a family fun time with love and respect. Julia was definitely on something drunk or pills .. something strange
She was weirded out. I'm for my family and friends that were enjoying time together. Drunkin Julia wanted us out so she could be in front bar with some DJ that no one in are party t even see? Bad business Amelia's I'll be sure to spread the word. We left some cash but those that had tabs I forcefully told them not to leave a tip on their credit card because Julia kicked everybody out an hour before the room is expired

I got off of work and still had to wait on my ride (they were taking long as unexpected) and I was outside in this cold (was like maybe -1or 1 degrees, From Milwaukee lol) they are next door. I went here and ask could I sit in here to wait on my ride. The bartender as like "of course" I waiting for my ride about 15 mins and we end up getting a drink and something small to eat. He had the char-grilled hot wings and I had a Philly steak sandwich w/fries. It was hot and satisfying. Now I found a little spot I can grab my lunch from 🤔🙋🏻‍♀️😂 Nice job! Very disappointed in their October special, fried chicken.(no prices listed) 1/2 chicken, mashed potatoes, cornbread. $18.00. Chicken looked like it came from a Cornish hen. Very, very small pieces and over cooked. Cup of dumpling soup hardly anything in it... We used to come here alot, but not going back. So sad. Service was good, just disappointed in the good.

We arrived for the first time for dinner around 645pm. Several people walked by for awhile before someone came to seat us- and he just pointed in the corner which way we could go. They were out of their special of the month. So we ordered something else. The waiter Came back and said they were out of the fish we ordered also. So we ordered something else and ended up with a plate with a metal shaving in it. They didn't seem too concerned no manager came out and apologized or anything, the waiter came back and said he could give us a couple drink chips for next time (we had already mentioned we live hours away... obviously won't be a next time.) They ended up taking a drink off the bill instead. Very disorganized and very long wait times Even though restaurant was practically empty on a Friday night (now I see why.) The only good thing I have to say is the waiter was very kind.

I usually order Friday fish, but I tried the dollar beef tacos. Was pleasantly surprised. Very tasty deal on Mexican Mondays. Our server was very personable and attentive.
My biggest gripe is that the A/C is always set for super cold. No matter the season, it's always too cold for me. We usually go on a nice outdoor day and watch the planes on the runways across the street.

Had a great time! Came here after watching a movie, and despite it being quite late (nearly 10, they close kitchens at 11) the Steakhouse burger and house chips I got were very tasty, and large in portion. Amelia‘s bar and restaurant is a Gem! We were honestly trying to get a burger from night owl, but came too late for that, and Amelia’s became our “plan B”… and I am glad for that, because it was terrific!

The inside is kind of funky, a real, low-key fun, place local place good place… A place where perhaps everybody could know your name… But even if they didn’t, they would treat you well, and you would order some great food and have a great time

Our waitress (Katie) was awesome, so friendly and so helpful and attentive. She gave us good recommendations and we followed them.

Interestingly, at the table next to us was a couple who self describe themselves as “regulars”… Greg and Janet… they did seem to be regular because they ordered regular. They ordered plenty and the other two to go.😂😂😂

We had the breakfast burger, and a “bomber” … the breakfast burger was very good… the bomber was out of this world a pork sausage sandwich with red sauce, and mozzarella a really good Bread! Somehow they managed to get the perfect ratio of marinara and mozzarella make my bomber a flavor bomb while still having everything stay together perfectly it was divine

We also ordered a small order of haystack onions (Delish)… and chose coleslaw and potato salad as our sides. Both were excellent… “As good as my grandma made”.… And I have to say Amelias has the best potato salad I have ever had in the restaurant setting… Possibly anywhere home or restaurant it was spectacular.

We were about to roll out full and happy… When we were made aware that they have a fried ice cream dessert, a lovely, homemade tortilla fried with cinnamon sugar, and a beautiful serving of cold, vanilla ice cream topped with honey. I am not a big fan of sweets, but this was really really good.

One day I will get my night owl burger… But today I have no regrets and feel no loss and have a missed a night owl,burger to, instead have Amelia’s bomber!

Amelia's is one of those places you have to try because you have driven by it so many times! The chicken tenders are awesome here! But everything else we got was so so, sadly. I have lived in Racine since 2019. Just recently saw this on Goo-maps and just desired something lite and different.
It was Taco Monday, so I definitely wanted to roll the dice, and it was so worth it.
Atmosphere - so unique. Half museum/Half pub. We're else can you sit and eat under a ceiling hung plane ?
Food- we had the appetizer portion two tacos with seasoned chips. The dipping sauce was perfect, but the seasoning on the pork meat was beyond flavor. A cross between Red Hots and salsa sweet with the touch of pineapple. Perfect for just throwing into the gut. So simple yet incredibly tasty.
