Service is non-existent. I stood in front of cash register as the only other customer was waiting for their food. No greeting by staff, lady completely ignored me while packing food into bags (which could have been done by other 2 non-working employees) and she still walked past me to catch the other customer because she screwed up the order. Can’t tell you how the food was because no one was cooking… all food stuffed under heat lamps…. Don’t bother with this place!

Most mediocre meal you’ll ever have. Came in around 2:30pm on a Saturday when you’d think things would be fresh after a lunch rush. The only taste in this food is the taste of something that’s been sitting out all day. Forgot half of my meal and while it was resolved quickly, I didn’t even finish half my meal because of the quality of it. Workers were complaining about how they didn’t want to be there anymore in front of customers, while sweating their butts off probably dripping sweat in the food. If they even make the food in restaurant since it all seemed to taste like a stale freezer. Ordered the “fresh squeezed” lemonade as it was advertised all over the store and the menu, come to realize it’s sitting in a fountain behind the counter and doesn’t taste like the fair lemonade it’s saying it will. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else.

Passed through town and stopped in and I was not disappointed. They warned me the tenders were big and they were not lying and the coating had a nice crunch to it and was flavorful and chicken was juicy. I also got the mini donuts and they took me back to my childhood.

If you are ever driving through Chippewa Falls or near there I cannot stress enough stopping by Anderson's. We happened to stop, rather hungry, on our way home and we were so excited as the choices here are endless. Each person in our family got something different and we all were stuffed when we left and took food home.
All the food here is made from scratch by the owner himself, who started this business in his retirement with his wife. You have to follow the Facebook page because he does go and do fairs during the summer as well and may be closed when gone for that.
This may seem like a small and humble place but don't let it fool you. There are amazing homemade goodies waiting to be tried. Our families favorite by far were the fried mushrooms! They were the best we have had, made from fresh mushrooms, right in front of us while we watched! All I can say is YUMMY! Oh and the family member who painted the signs, I love your artistic talent!
So Anderson's is a must stop if you are in the area and it is open. Forget the chains and eat real food again!

I may only have been here once for the Philly cheese steak. But the food was amazing, the portions outstanding and the price unforgettable. If you are looking for mostly fried food including the Philly which is obviously not fried, Anderson's is great. Essentially a superior KFC in many ways! I look forward to coming back again!

I just moved here from out of state and this place by far is the most unfriendly joint I’ve visited. It’s a good thing their food is so good and priced decently. My lady took me here today. It's a cute little place. She describes it as carnival food. She paid a little over $30 for everything. She always enjoys their food. I tried the Gyro. Best Gyro I've ever had. Wrapping it tin foil kept it warm opposed to other restaurants that just throw it on a plate open faced. The fresh cut fries were the best fries as well. The fried mushrooms were also the best I've ever had. People talk about how good their Cheesecurds are. We're from Wisconsin, of course we love our cheese! I thought they were okay. I'm biased though. I prefer yellow cheddar opposed to white cheddar. I've noticed yellow cheddar are rare. I don't know why that is. 😕

It wasn't busy as everyone was at Walmart today. Black Friday. 🤪 I definitely think if you're in the area. Stop in and have some yummy carnival food. They even have funnel cakes and deep fried oreos and more. We were too full for those. Thanks for reading. 😁

I rarely leave reviews, but the food I just got from here was straight-up gross, and the service was awful. I put an order in through Grubhub, and the older woman who I initially spoke with said they didn't have any pick-up orders. I ran out to my car to grab my phone and make sure I didn't have any emails about a problem with the order, and got a text notification saying that there was an update to my order and it would be ready to pick up in 10 to 15 minutes, so obviously they had no clue I'd ordered it until just then. Nobody said a word to me while I was waiting for the next 10 minutes or so, no apology, no explanation. A different person gave me my food, and she was pleasant and polite. Got about halfway back and noticed the donuts I ordered weren't in the bag. Checked my order on the website and saw that it was adjusted and the donuts were taken off the bill, but nobody ever told me about that, and they didn't ask if I wanted something else instead (I would have). Got the food home, and everything tasted like it was reheated. The cheese steak was stringy and rubbery, the jojos were pale and soggy and tasted like sawdust, and the macaroni and baked beans tasted like reheated leftovers. I couldn't even finish it. I used to love this place. Not sure if it was just an off day or what, but it wasn't just not good, it was offensively bad. Don't think I'll be coming back for a good long time, if ever.

We are headed out for a day of HS football. Found this place randomly and fell in LOVE! The lady working was FANTASTIC! I don't usually leave reviews, but I want anyone that finds them via Google to run... not walk, to this place, small family owned restaurant. Was taking pictures of the gorgeous clouds to the east, when I turned to the west to walk back to my hotel and... storm clouds coming in fast. So I was in need of shelter within a short time, with the winds picking up and lightning all around. ⚡️ Saw the Big Rooster off in the distance - I was saved! 🐓❤️ Hustled over just as the skies opened, and I lived to tell the tale. 🙏🏼 Of course I had to return when Anderson's Chic-n-Fish opened again, to show my gratitude, and the food was great! Lots of items on the menu, including deep fried Oreos, so you know I was hooked! Everything I had was delicious: Mac & cheese, fresh made corn dogs (actually, I think everything is made fresh daily), chicken tenders, corn bread, JoJo's, cheese curds/mushrooms/cauliflower - gotta cover all the food groups! My sincere compliments to the hard working crew - always polite and professional, and they definitely had some long days with starting early to prepare the food and what seemed like nonstop customers when I was there. Big THANKS for the great service!
*Full disclosure: I never did get the Oreos. Can only eat so much in a day, and the Leinie Lodge wasn't far away, so I opted for some local liquids instead. Priorities. 🍻❤️ Maybe next trip, but pretty sure Leinenkugel will still be there... 😁

We found this spot coming back to Minnesota from camping in the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan. My wife and I had the fish, fries, and coleslaw. The fish was absolutely the best cod that either of us have ever had. They appear to be hand dipped and the breading was crispy with every bite and the fish was cooked perfectly, just flakes apart. Coleslaw was homemade and so fresh tasting. Fries were made in house and delicious. We are changing our driving route when we go to Michigan just so we can hit this place up every time we go. Can't wait to try the chicken and other items on the menu. Staff was super friendly and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend this hidden gem. We will be back soon!!!

Hey there folks. Had an excellent experience at Anderson's. Just want to reiterate the pleasant service and good food. I am glad we took the time to search a little. It isn't super convenient off the highway. But I will say, I would make the effort to get there anytime possible. We had the spicy chicken sandwich, curds and 4 piece chicken dinner. All of it was very good. It is nice to see a privately owned establishment doing well. It was also nice that they had some unique soda and fresh lemonade options. Take a little time and head over to this little gem!

If you love fair food...stopped in last moment on a Sunday drive and had some delicious fried bluegill filets. Loved the taste with and without the tartar sauce. More than enough to eat. Came into town on a business trip and spent most of my money coming to eat here. The food was absolutely amazing every time and if I had the stomach space I would have got triple the amount I did. Never had any major problems with my orders apart from not receiving utensils(I’ll live). Other than that it’s an amazing family owned shop that I’ll recommend coming to for anyone visiting. The very last day I was there for my trip I called ahead with a big order the gentleman who I didn’t catch his name got all of my food finished while taking care of other customer in the span of about less than 40 minutes. I was expecting a lot longer of a wait but they got me in and got me out in little to no time. Of course I gave him a hefty tip too especially the fact he had his little girl there that I could tell was causing some stress but he got it all figured out. All of the food was made perfect to order and fed my family plentiful.

Only real critiques I would have with the food is that the fries can be hit or miss on the flavor department or being too dry but it’s nothing major. The lemonade was a little bitter for my pallet. And the garlic mashed potatoes that I got on my first visit were a little too chunky. But all in all those small things don’t take away from the fact that everything else was absolutely amazing and made me feel so happy with every bite.

And as for the restaurant the decor is a little dated and the stools were a bit rough to sit on but I took my food to go so I’m not going to let that completely effect my review as well as that’s the best part of the charm of this place. Doesn’t feel like it’s a corporate restaurant and is welcome to anyone and everyone.

If you have the money and the time 100000% come to this amazing spot you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend the gyros too. They are exquisite

I grabbed food from here the other day as I live just down the road. The food is mostly always decent. The cornbread not so much. But the atmosphere is a different story. Employees sitting at the tables. All the tables were dirty. Employees complaining about having to work through their break. And they didn't communicate that my food was going to take 20 minutes to serve me. We went to Anderson's Chic-n-Fish for the first time tonight, and it exceeded our expectations. The portion of chicken was so generous, we got the 3-strips dinner each (which is the smaller size), and couldn't finish it. The coleslaw was homemade, and probably the best coleslaw I ever had. I loved the jojos/ steak fries, too, and the cheese curds. The employees were really nice. The weather was perfect-- which is surprising for late October-- so we were able to eat at their outdoor picnic tables. I would definitely go back again. This restaurant is the perfect cross between picnic food and state fair food.

Disappointing, first time trying here since it opened and I could not be more disappointed the chicken is the best thing I had which is keeping this place from being a 1 but the cornbread is over cooked and hard, the mac n cheese was cold when I got home (I live five minutes away) the mac n cheese was good when I warmed it in the microwave but the worst thing of all was the jojos, disgusting, cold, dried, out, stale, couldn’t even chew them. Overall, make sure if you come here to get the sides before they have been sitting in a warmer since lunch and not 5 hours old. My dad and I were running errands today, and decided to finally stop by the restaurant with the giant chicken outside and we were beyond pleased. The food was incredible, everything tasted super fresh and flavorful, and the cost was very reasonable especially considering how much food you get! The staff is equally as incredible, they were very hospitable and personable. Despite the negative reviews I read about this place (and highly disagree with) I’d say this place is quite the hidden gem! The chicken and fish were done to perfection, and they also offer fair food that I will certainly be back to try, like deep fried oreos, mini donuts, cheese curds, funnel cakes etc. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant! Checked this cute little eat in or take out cafe. Easy to find. The building is in good repair and clean inside and out. Nice parking area with a chicken photo op! Handicap accessible and limited outdoor seating underneath a pavilion. We went to Irvine Park. Order ahead or when you arrive. More than just chicken and fish on their menu and everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled delicious! Even fair food available, a variety of liquids (no alcohol), and a few sweet treats. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cod was lightly battered (can’t wait to try the walleye) and the large shrimp were just that- large, and done perfectly. Fries seemed to be hand cut, fresh, and hot. I’m not a cornbread fan, but tried it here and it was the best I’ve had. Light, airy and fresh. Not thick, course, or field corn tasting. Definitely will return to try other menu items. Accepts cash and cards. The fish dinner and 8 large shrimp ran ~$26 with tip for 2 people. Prices fair.

Chicken was soggy and greasy. I got a 2 piece dinner. I was so excited to try it and I was very disappointed. The Jo Jo's were soggy and the corn muffin was a hard as a rock. They put the greasy chicken in top of my husbands fries so they were also greasy and soggy. I would suggest sticking to the fish. We did get the cod and it was eatable. This place is an experience. The interior needs a bit of love, but the food and staff more than make up for that. This is my go-to for date night or any night. There is always something new to try. In Chippewa occasionally for Dr visits and no good food I've found. Drove by here and stopped in for great homemade food that was nice portions at a fair price. Philly cheese steak sandwich and walleye were both cooked to a T and great fries, coleslaw and corn bread. Enough to have some for later. Keep up the good work!
Update Feb 8th mid afternoon, stopped again today and ordered same Philly cheese steak meal. Terrible! Half the bun was dried out. Meat was way overcooked and should have been thrown out. Onions and peppers few and scraped off the bottom of the grill and burnt and terrible. Different cook. Threw it away. I was in a hurry to get to an appointment so got it to go and should have looked at it.
Appeared to be the bottom of the pan scrapings leftover for a couple hrs.

Food was amazing, service was a little slower, but the restaurant was a little greasy and dirty. It made me almost leave just because of how dirty it was, BUT THE FOOD! It was sooooooo good! Thank you for a great experience.

This was by far the best fair food I have ever had. 1 fish, 1 chicken strip meal was plenty for me. Coleslaw was bomb. Fries were perfectly crispy. They also aren’t shy about giving you sauce and not making you pay extra. I respect that.

I recommend the shrimp or fish tacos, but call ahead before ordering. (Tuesdays) The baked beans are the kind like mom makes. Many items made from scratch not from a giant bag off a truck!
Fries cut fresh for every order. This is the place to be if you like fried food.
Anderson's chicken beats Bresina's, KFC & Kwik Trip chicken. Service is fast & friendly.
The fish is flakey, delicate and delicious.
The offer many fried fair type foods too.

Amazing! That is the best way to put it. If you like county fair food they got it. If you like soups and sandwiches, they got it. If you like chicken they got it. I ordered the cod bites as a appetizer and they were OMFG good! I highly recommend this place.

First time here since they opened up and we were very happy with our experience. The jumbo shrimp dinner is delicious and the coleslaw is first rate! Chicken was well cooked and tasted great and perfectly breaded. Deep fried mushrooms and cheese curds are more than enough to share and the deep fried coliflower is delicious as well. There is a great deal for any appetite or any flavor you want to try, even mac and cheese. All your favorite fair foods under one roof and then some, filling and delicious. Definitely a must try and a will return for chicken and shrimp!

Omgosh! Fair food at a reasonable price! Their cheese curds are amazing! Deep fried oreos?....to die for! Had the popcorn chicken meal and it was delicious. The staff is friendly and personable. Highly recommend!
