First time at Angler's, ordered food to pick up, two people in front of us were waiting to be seated. We received no greeting, no acknowledgement, nothing even though the bar tender and 2 to 3 waitresses walked by. The two in front of us walked out. Finally, after waiting for 12 minutes someone finally approached us, told him we were there to pick up food, food was missing an item and food was cold. Waiter gave us an attitude because we were frustrated at that point and we told him to just cancel the entire order for a full refund. At that point there was a line behind us and three more people walked out. Would give no star if possible. People just want acknowledgement and would be gracious to a busy business but they acted like we were a burden. Not professional.

Checked in with hostess about 12:25 and she said they didn’t allow dogs. They had signs posted but said they did allow service dogs.
I told him Milo is a service dog but he was in the back pack. She said ok.
This was a young girl with long blonde hair. She gave us a buzzer and we sat outside to wait. I saw where she wrote our name on the sheet of paper and we were about 1/3 down the sheet of paper.
While sitting outside another lady came out and told us it didn’t make any difference if he had a vest or not, since he was in a backpack he wasn’t allowed in the restaurant. This lady was older than the hostess with darker hair with blonde and multi colored, maybe a green tint. We asked to talk to the manager.
The manager came out and said that we shouldn’t give her waitresses a hard time because they were just doing their job. We weren’t sure what she meant by that because we were just explaining that Milo wasn’t and ordinary dog and that he was a service dog. She repeated this several times but not sure why.
So we sat outside on a bench. There were 2 areas to sit on each side of the entrance. There was group of 6 of us plus Milo. I noticed that the group on the other side had been seated and now some people that had arrived after us were being seated. I went up to ask the hostess how much longer it would be? She asked what our number (pager) was and I said 8. At that point I noticed that the hostess had to flip back to a previous page to see our name/number. The next page was at the bottom for names so more than a full page of names had passed. The hostess then said that our table would be ready as soon a it was cleaned and pointed to the one in the corner. We were the next ones up.
5 minutes passed and the table was cleaned off and another group of six was seated there. Then a second group of six were seated in a table next to it. I went up and asked the hostess again what was going on and she said that the waitress in the we were sitting in was busy and had to get caught up. I told her I thought they were holding a back because of our service dog and she didn’t say anything. I walked away sat down on the bench to wait and the buzzer went off. We had to wait way behind others that arrived after us and got seated before us.
We then watched and it looked like the waitress we were supposed to have was the initial waitress that said we couldn’t come in at all with Milo and therefore we were sat in a different section.
Our waitress was great but this is very disturbing ti be treated this way and will be following up by filing and ADA complaint.

So the blonde waitress had a terrible attitude, she looked completely disgusted by us and barely spoke to us. It was really awkward actually. Waited at least 15 minutes for a beverage. I ordered cheese curds and the other person I was with ordered a burger. It took almost an hour to get the food. Then the waitress didnt come check on the table again until the food was gone and drinks were empty. The waitress was friendly when she was actually tending to us. The style and decor isnt my cup of tea either.

Peanut butter burger was 10/10 flavor. It’s a must try. Burgers are small, but the price reflects that.
Nachos were good for the price.
Chicken sandwich had good flavor, but they should, like other restaurants have, move away from using chicken breasts. They too easily get dried out. Our server kindly took it off the bill, as we couldn’t/didn’t eat it.
Lastly, the cod and chips was quite good.
All the food was a good bang for your buck.

Absolutely incredible spot! The food here is top-notch—ribs that are fall-off-the-bone delicious, the best pizza in town, and unforgettable french fries. I also really appreciate that they offer gluten-free buns, bread, and pizza crusts, which is such a big plus. One small suggestion: toasting the gluten-free bun would help keep it from falling apart—but even so, everything was fantastic. The service was great, and the whole experience was definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend!

I just dined here and had a basic grilled cheese sandwich. The bread was coated with some gross tasting hydrogenated vegetable spread. I assume if places are cutting corners in the small places, they maybe cutting corners everywhere. I’m not sure how much more it would cost to use real butter or mayo to make a better grilled sandwich but it’s worth it. French dip was good. Fries are skinny, greasy and ok. Wine list is bad.

We sat outside, our food was below expectations. We went here per recommendation of some locals. Our waitress messed up our order, thought my husband and son were sharing a fish platter. After receiving it they decided to leave it that way as it didn't look like good quality fish fry. Kid's meal of macaroni and cheese seemed overpriced for Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I decided to try something new - I love margherita pizza, so I tried the flatbread margherita pizza with balsamic sauce. It was so gross. Wish we had time to look around more, we were eating a very late meal and not many places were still open.

Got the special hot honey bourbon pork sliders with fries and a blackberry brandy ol' fashion. As someone from Wisconsin, this was the best comfort food I could ever ask for. The pork was freshly smoked and the drinks were so fruity and herbal. Will be back in the summertime.

This is my go-to in Hayward. Great food I have been eating for 10 years. The service is 5 star and they are so helpful in it's delivery. Swapped or slow they always treat you like your their best customers. Had the wings appetizer naked with sauce on the side. The club sandwich was top notch. From the start of the visit it was not pleasant. We came in and it was mid dinner on a friday so we expected to have to wait, we asked the host how long the wait would be for our group and she responded ‘I don’t know’ in a snarky response, friday night business, we get it. so we decided to get drinks at the bar and wait outside for our table. While getting drinks, unfortunately 3 out of the 4 of us paid with card, by the time the 4th person got their drink and paid, the bartender said ‘do none of you have cash’ again in a snarky response, never have i ever ordered a drink and been responded to like that by a bartender. Once we finally got our table and ordered, the food took quite a bit to get to us. again, friday night dinner, we understand. It took 27 minutes for appetizers to get to the table, and 42 minute for our entrees. Within those 42 minutes our waitress did not stop back at the table ONCE. After getting our food, someone had asked for a refill of water and the waitress didn’t hear her, so she said “Hey!” after that our waitress had an attitude with us for the rest of the visit. How do you not expect people to run out of refills after 42 minutes of no waitress in site? Then to get an attitude after we have to ask? We were ordering drinks at the bar, instead of through our waitress. A couple people at our table received cold food. Someone had paid cash, and the waitress didn’t bring change and kept it as a tip without asking the person paying. Working in the service industry and being a manager of a restaurant, I don’t know how management is okay with this. Having food come out in over 40 minutes and your waitresses don’t stop at tables to ask if anyone needs anything, or to apologize for the wait of the of the food. And there being no manager in site checking on guests or tables is unacceptable. I would have server write ups if anyone in my restaurant gave the service we received today.

Fun ambiance, great fish fry and they have coin pushers which are fun to use! Overall we had a great experience here in January of this year.

Cathy is a word class bartender. It was my pleasure to sit at her bar for dinner and drinks a couple evenings this week and she was absolutely top notch! It was very busy and she was grace under pressure. Her drinks were not just good, they were exceptional, with a full bar. The food was also very good as well and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and top notch service.

Visited Anglers yesterday. We were seated on the patio. Waiter came and we gave our drink order. He then asked if we knew what we would like for food. We said we were planning for just drinks. He stated that normally you have to order food to sit on the patio but since it wasn't very busy he would allow us to stay on the patio. There are no signs posted anywhere with this rule. Additionally, once we got our drinks, mine tasted a little strange. I had requested a top shelf alcohol and it tasted like rail. Waiter didn't come back for a long time, so my husband had about finished his drink by the time waitress returned. I did tell her I thought the drink was made incorrectly. She offered a new one, and I asked if it could just be taken off the bill since my husband was done. She said ok and went inside with the drink. A few minutes later, the bartender came outside to our table and insisted she had made the drink the way I had asked with the appropriate alcohol. I told her it did not taste correct. She continued to be argumentative. Eventually, she did agree to remove the drink from the bill. I'm not sure why she felt the need to come outside and argue with a customer. It was very unpleasant.
