Ordered the Chicken Karahi & Garlic Naan to go, however the restaurant in itself, while small, has a very welcoming, clean, & relaxed atmosphere and I wouldn’t mind eating there either. Staff is very kind and attentive, I like to ask for recommendations when I’m ordering in a new spot and Sigya suggested the Chicken Karahi which by all means surpassed my expectations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dish & the garlic naan is a given 👌🏽

My highlight here are two things, not only the food will make me a returning and recommending customer but the kindness and attentiveness of their staff… some places have incredible food but the customer service can severely impact their growth. I believe this establishment does great in both areas.

They had amazing food here. Loved the Chicken Karahi, including the sauce it had and the chicken and the karahi Masala. I would say though that I would like there to be less bone and more chicken. The place is also relatively convenient for taking transit is it is right along the route 54 bus and the Route 80 bus which have decent frequencies. Not super convenient for biking as the nearest bike lanes are on Mitchell street and Muskego Avenue and really is only accessible by biking from the west. If you are coming from the north south or east then you’ll either have to ride on side streets or in traffic with other cars

If you haven't tried Anmol Restaurant, you are missing out! Our experience and food was fantastic. We got the Punjabi Samosa, Bihari Kabab Roll, the Anmol platter and a sweet mango Lassi. The meats were so tender and juicy, very spicy but not over powering the flavors of each dish. I would say the Bihari Kabab Roll was my favorite, it was prepared to perfection. The service was phenomenal and fast!

I did want to mention a highlight of our experience; before our food even came out, me and my partner were served Kashmiri tea and a free appetizer platter each (by who I am assuming was the owner). He said he gave it to us because they had just completed their daily Ramadan fast, it was extremely thoughtful of him! We had just stumbled upon this restaurant by luck after our original dinner plans had fell apart.

We will certainly return and we've already recommended it to several of our friends in the Milwaukee area.

We entered the restaurant and a man near the counter said we could order from the kiosk for dine-in. Half way through ordering, we were encouraged by a different man to sit at a table and he would take our order. After ordering, the food came out reasonably quick and as it was ready. The food was all delicious, but we realized towards the end of the meal that we received the wrong type of Naan. While the Naan was good, this mistake probably would have been avoided if we had just ordered from the kiosk to begin with. We'll definitely be back to try Anmol again in the future.

Anmol is a good restaurant, I have been here multiple times.. My most recent experience has been very disappointing. Ordered a Tandoori Chargha, it comes out pretty fast. The chicken is warm on the outside but cold inside. It was obvious that it was rewarmed and served, so I raised concerns to the person on front desk. He reordered it for me but the second one is well FRIED to make sure it is really warm but does not seem fresh at all. Also at this point it is no more Tandoori charga but a fried charga. Told them that it was not fresh, they were polite in offering me not to pay, but I insisted on paying. Hope things get better.

Since my first review I have had a change of heart. They have been pretty amazing on the phone with accommodating several large catering orders. Highly recommend this place for catering services. I don't typically dine in at Anmol, so not sure how they do there.

Very poor service. The restaurant let's you order online with curbside pickup but does not honour it. Also, the person I spoke to was rude and unprofessional. Not going there again. Will take my money and go elsewhere with better food and service.

Regretfully, I have to give this place 1 star. This used to be my absolute favorite Indian restaurant when I lived in Milwaukee. I’ve lived in many cities in many states and nothing ever compared. I wished I wouldn’t have tainted my memory with this visit. I ordered my usual dish, Shrimp Masala, and it was awful. The once creamy &red curry was orange and oily. It had zero flavor, smelled funky, and the shrimp tasted off. When I informed the owner, I was simply met with a smug, “nothing has changed” as he walked away. Disappointed is an understatement. They’ve upgraded their furniture, but the food quality has went down hill.

This is a MUST EAT spot in South Milwaukee! The food is amazing and the service is great. As a family of vegetarians and non-vegetarians, we always have choices in the menu to enjoy. We arrived at 8:30 when the closing time said 9:00. There was no one at the front desk and we stood around for 10 mins waiting to be seated before someone came out from the back and told us that they are closing and can no longer take any orders and it would only be take out. We still decided to order but he continued to scold us as if he was doing us a favor by letting us order. At that point we had enough and said his attitude was uncalled for and just walked out. Restaurants that act like they’re doing us a favor need to be blacklisted.

Seems like a nice place. I ordered online and paid at least $2 extra per item for the luxury thereof. I ordered the okra masala and a mango lassi = $27. Which is ridiculous, but whatever. I go to pick it up and there's no rice in the bag. Manager told me that rice was "a la carte", which is absurd for Indian food. I paid $4 for rice. The masala was extremely oily, in fact, the "sauce" just seemed to be orange oil. I couldn't eat very much of it because my stomach gets upset if I eat too much oil. I brought it home to show my husband, and he was skeptical that it was as bad as I was saying it was, but sure enough, he also found it to be oily and also flavorless. I cannot believe I paid $31 for this horrible meal. The mango lassi was decent, but it didn't make up for the rest of it.

I recently visited Anmol, and I must say, their chicken dish was good! The flavors were rich, the spices were well-balanced, and the chicken was tender and juicy. It truly exceeded my expectations as I was expecting more on the mutton biriyani.

However, when it comes to the mutton biryani, it was just okay. While the aroma was enticing, the mutton pieces were a bit tough and felt could have been better, and the flavors didn't quite match the excellence of their chicken dish. It was decent but fell short of expectations. On top the raita was served in a takeout small plastic cup which felt inconvenient and less dine in.

The staff was friendly and attentive. The service was prompt.

Apart from the chicken dish, their menu offers a variety of other delectable options, which were equally delightful.

Overall, Anmol is a fine place to satisfy your south Asian cuisine cravings.
