The atmosphere is great here! The staff are friendly and helpful. When you sit down, they bring chips and a dish of 2 different kinds of salsa and beans to dip them in. I ordered the fish tacos. They came with a side of beans and rice. They were sooo good! Prices were good for the quality of food. I will be back :)

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Appleton! The food is AMAZING. The atmosphere is FANTASTIC. The drinks, top tier. The service is not always the best, which is why I haven't rated it 5/5. But the food is so worth it.

I usually likes Mexican food, but this one was the worst experience I've ever, we (party of 3) arrived at the restaurants at 6:15PM order drinks and food right away as we had plans for later, it was 7:15 and no food had arrived, we asked the server a few times and she kept saying that : ""food is coming""" and offer more drinks, Listen I go to a Restaurant to EAT not to get drunk on empty stomach!! at 7:45 I went to talk to the person in Charge, asked my waiter for the Manager, and this guy came in, he DID NOT EVEN apologize for the delayed and he said He will go and look in the kitchen to expedite.. yea expedite after 1:30 since we ordered the food.. finally at 8:10PM the food arrived, at this time we were ready to leave!! let me tell you food and service was DISGUSTING, it seems that the plate were ready prepared and just microwaved it, the Rice and Beans tasted like fast food, the Fajitas were chewy, BAD, BAD, BAD, will never go back to this Restaurant in Appleton, while we were there two other tables came and GO!!! so what really happened to our service? Our server told us the is seemed the kitchen stuff did not like her!! When we got the bill the Manager gave as a 10% discount, for that quality of service and food we got, I wouldn't have paid for it!!
Never AGAIN!! Disgusting food, bad service and poor Customer apreciation!!

Traveling threw for work, ordered drinks, dinner, over an hour wait, told our food coming up, another 20 minutes go by , where is our waitress, we finally find her, oh it’s coming up in 15 minutes, wait another 15, we said forget it cancel it, the manger said he just grabbed our ticket and making it. We were like what? We were told it’s 15 minutes. Not sure staffing issue , but communication is key, if your behind let us know. Not us sit there having no clue. And can’t find any employees. Hope you guys fix this..

We tried this place for a first time during the dinner hour. We had a reservation. Service was excellent. Chips and salsa before the meal were very tasty. The main dishes ordered are nothing to brag about. Be prepared that the quantity is not as large as other Mexican restaurants we are used to in the area. Menu prices are not justified. This place has a nice atmosphere and a lot of the hype is due to the aesthetics. However, the small tables meant to seat 3 or 4 are too small for all the serving dishes brought out for each entree. My biggest disappointment is the blended lime margaritas. Tasted like barely any alcohol and even the taste of lime was lacking. There were 3 in our party. Rather than order three individual margaritas at $9 each, we asked how many servings were in a pitcher. We were told 5. So, we ordered the pitcher at $38. We were surprised that this "pitcher" was actually a carafe that contained only 3 servings. What was this about? We felt ripped off. Won't be going back.

The food here is absolutely the best authentic Mexican in the valley. It’s always consistently delicious. The waiters are super friendly and really attentive to our toddlers' needs, which we really appreciate. Even on busy weekday nights, our food comes out quickly. We love coming here! Also if you haven’t had a chance to check out their food truck yet, it’s perfect for quick takeout. We finally tried it recently after meaning to for a while, and it was just as good as the restaurant.

The food presentation was nice, but the service slow. The $10 margaritas were tiny, and the burritos were mostly filled with beans and rice—barely any protein. Overall, the place feels overhyped. Save your time and money and head to Sangria’s instead—much better service, tastier food, and more drink options.

The good was great but we got virgin margs and neither the peach nor the mago tasted like the flavors they were supposed to be. It took an hour for the food to come out... The kitchen capacity is way too low compared to the amount of customers they have seated and waiting for food. The atmosphere was nice but super noisy. It was an hour of waiting and about 20 minutes of eating.

We came in at just before 6pm on a Friday, called ahead to ask about a wait because duh. On the phone they said no wait, arrived and seated immediately.
We have been here with this group before, knew what to expect and did not have any questions on the menu, did not ask for more time to think, just sat - ordered- intended to enjoy. We love the food and atmosphere, normally have a great experience. This was not the case today...
We had 3 adults, one toddler, ordered waters all around enjoyed the chips and salsa. We put in our food order fairly quickly knowing it was a pretty full place. Our order was 3 mains, a side of rice and beans, and one N/A lemonade mocktail. Everything straight off the menu. Nothing complicated or crazy. We waited an hour and a half for our food and still nothing, so we spoke up to the waiter and asked him to bring the bill and pack up our order to go.
We needed to get home for the specifically timed meds of my rare disease 2yo. Not to mention a waiter who knows their stuff sees a toddler in their section and prioritizes moving that order along as best as can be done. When toddlers are done, they are DONE. So inform the table if there is to be a longer-than-usual wait for food or any menu item. Set expectations so if the plan needs to adjust it can. We know the kitchen or waiter forgot us because we saw MANY others come in be seated after us, order, eat, and go all before we got our second bowl of chips.
Many restaurant patrons complimented us on how calm and well behaved the toddler was, so you know this was not our first rodeo. We know what to expect, what is a reasonable time frame and how to be kind when mistakes happen and are remedied. This mistake was not remedied. Nothing was offered as far as a discount or even an apology from the manger. In fact the bartender had to flag down our waiter and remind him we were back there.
We had to go so we let the waiter know we'd need the food packed up to go before it arrived to our table and the bill immediately.
We got home only to realize the food was wrong. We should have verified, yes. But in our haste to get going with a now sleepy hungry toddler we did not. Incorrect tacos and missing the rice and beans side. On the phone they offered to remake the food, but since we were at home with the toddler safely past meds and bed time - we asked for a refund. Only a refund to the messed up main was offered, not a refund to the rice and beans which were missing entirely - and before I could say so the line was dead.
I get that Fridays are busy, that waiters forget things here and there, and that mistakes happen. But this was a super lame experience all around. We came home to the messy kitchen which prompted us to go out in the first place and still had to clean it up and cook to eat food - even though we paid in both time and money to avoid that chore today.
We will certainly think twice about visiting again after this food service faux pas. This is a price point higher than competitors in the area, and today that was not worth the extra or the hassle in any way.

Decent Mexican food- freshly prepared but the grease did taste old. Had the chicken fajita chimichanga which was good, but I prefer more lettuce/tomato on it. It came with a blob of white cheese- okay, not great. It was better when I put some of the guacamole on it.
The beans are delicious- definitely not mass produced and the rice was tasty as well.
Service was prompt, not overly friendly. Nice seating and a great atmosphere.
House margaritas are VERY good, they don’t taste like they are from a pre mix bottle.
Parking is behind the building or on the street (meters during the day).
We will definitely be back, hopefully the oil isn’t old next time.

My partner and I recently hosted our engagement dinner at Antojitos with a group of 22 friends, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special.
They allowed me to set up place cards and little chocolates for our guests beforehand, and even added extra candles to create a romantic ambiance. To our surprise, they also placed two champagne glasses at our seats before dinner, which was such a thoughtful touch!
The team was incredibly accommodating and welcoming, ensuring every detail was perfect. They were attentive to drink refills and any requests, and their organization was impeccable—no mistakes on any food orders, and they kindly split the bills for our large party with ease.
Not a single person in our group had a bad plate; the food was simply incredible. Antojitos truly elevates Mexican cuisine, delivering bold flavors and beautiful presentation. The atmosphere was also a 10/10, with a warm and vibrant vibe that made our celebration even more special.
Whether you're planning a special event, a date night, or even just lunch, I can’t recommend Antojitos enough. Thank you to the amazing team for making our engagement dinner so unforgettable!

Excellent food and service. I was thrilled that they have a vegetarian menu section and can make many items vegan. The vegan chorizo tacos were delicious, and very filling (they came with a side of rice and beans). Also like the bowl made vegan with the soy chorizo - it is tasty!

Nothing about this food says authentic to me let alone tastes like it. Seems like the cooks are taking simple dishes and making them complex. Prices are ridiculous for portion sizing, but I wouldn’t mind paying $14+ if the food tasted good which unfortunately here is either bland/ dry or over seasoned/ greasy. I miss when this place was on Richmond it gave more of a family feel where the food was made with care. Now it seems like they care more about their image and their pockets. The new face lift won’t save the food either! Sorry guys I guess times change. Last time ever going back.

If you’re looking for a quiet, fancy, and comfortable spot to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine, this restaurant is a gem. The atmosphere is upscale yet inviting, making it perfect for a relaxed evening out. The food is bursting with flavor—every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. I have to give a special shoutout to the queso with chorizo—it’s absolutely delicious. It’s so good that I always end up taking some home to savor later. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the mood for a flavorful meal in a cozy, refined setting!

I took my family of 10 to dinner on 12/26/24 in the PM and we did have a reservation. This was my first time at Antojitos. We were put in what looked like a back room by a bar. It was dark and cold with cold air blowing on us from the duct work. I addressed this with the gentlemen that was filling our water he said I will let them know. It was never addressed some of my family had to eat with their jackets on. This was disappointing! The water, chips, and dip were served shortly after we sat down which was appreciated. However, it was another 10-15 minutes before a waiter came back where we where sitting to ask if we wanted drinks. Again, this was disappointing! We ordered our drinks and asked for a refill on our chips and dip which did not happen. Again, this was disappointing! After drinks were delivered and our food order was taken I asked for the chips and dip again which were brought to our table about a minute before our food was served. Again, this was disappointing! Food portions were smaller than expected for the price. Just expected more for a $300 bill. It felt like we were an after thought in this back room area and we were kinda forgot about which is removed from the main dining room
in my opinion. These are my honest thoughts take them how you will.

We stopped in to Antojitos for a birthday dinner after hearing so many good things. The atmosphere was awesome and our server was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu. The food was good, but not worth the price IMO.
Unfortunately, we were billed for 3 additional meals that were not ours. In the rush out the door, we didn’t notice until we got home. I called immediately and was told there wasn’t a manager to be able to take care of my refund and I’d need to call back at 11 the next morning. I called the next morning, still no manager. I was told they would take my name and number and the manager would be in after 3. I had to call again at 4, still no manager. The manager finally called me back when he arrived after 5pm and was kind enough to find our check and offer to refund us for the 3 items that were not ours, which I identified over the phone to him twice.
The real bummer- got the refund posted to our account and it is only for the 2 more expensive items, not all 3.
We will not be back. There are better establishments on College Avenue to spend your time and money.

I’ve been wanting to try this place while I was travelling for work to Appleton. The second time in town, on way to my hotel, I thought I’d pop in and grab takeout. But as I stood at the bar and looked around and scanned the menu, I decided to dine it. And I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a super cute place and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I sat at the bar, ever the solo diner.
I was craving good Mexican food and this restaurant checked the box in a big way. I didn’t want just the standard fare - tacos, burritos, Quesadillas - I wanted proper Mexican. I ordered the Tamales (soooo good!!), the Sope on the bartender’s recommendation (delicious) and the shrimp ceviche (good, if not in need of another squeeze of lime). I ate heartily and had some to go, to eat later at a late night of work.
And it wasn’t terribly expensive for the portion size and high quality of the food.
I wish I could go back but my time in town is limited. I loved it.

The food was very good and the best part was that it isn’t like every other WI Mexican restaurant. This was actually different menu items and very good flavors unlike what other places have. It reminded me of New Mexico style flavors, which I love. Only thing that I did not like was the El Fox Valley Old Fashioned. It had a very different and off putting taste. Ended up ordering a Jalapeño Margarita and that was good. The place is very loud and echos but it was not so bad that it would keep us from going back.

💥QUE RICO BABY!
💥The best darn flautas on the planet !!!
We have been going to this restaurant since they first opened at the other location. We know the owner and love to support local businesses.
The new location on College Avenue is beautiful. I love the exposed brick and the wide open space. Very comfortable and they also have a beautiful back if you just wanna hang out and have a margarita or cocktail. Plenty of parking in the back or anywhere along the ave.
Everything on the menu is delicious and in our opinion ...since my husband is from Mexico City ...the only place in town that offers "AUTHENTIC" Mex food!
The servers are very friendly and will help you select a dish. The front dining room is very spacious so you don't feel like you're on top of each other.
My only request is that the restaurant starts featuring dessert as of now they don't have any. I would recommend pastel tres leches y flan for starters! AHHH! DELISH!

Came here about a year and a half ago and was severely unimpressed. Food was bland and boring and didn’t think we’d go back. We did come back last week after being recommended by a friend and we got a 180 experience. Food was phenomenal, salsa was bomb, and the atmosphere was bright and refreshing.
Only complaints i have is how small the tables are (maybe to get more tables in?) but made for a cramped dining experience. Also the service was a BIT slow but not terrible. Prices reflected a fine dining restaurant, and i cant get behind that for quick mexican food but the tacos are worth it!

The restaurant expansion has been a huge success. The food, service, and atmosphere are still great or better, even with the ability to handle more customers and larger groups. If you haven’t been by to see it, you need to stop in.

Edit after the redesign: Service left a bit to be desired (had to ask for silverwear, margs served without a salt rim, warm water was served at tables, food took well over 30 min from time of order to table). Prices have SIGNIFICANTLY increased (especially on drinks) and be prepared to have to shout to talk to other members of your party. I think the food downgrade in quality was the worst part (the chicken inside things isn't the same shredded chicken it used to be, it's now cubed chicken breasts and mine was overcooked and dry). Kinda bummed this place took a step backwards, this used to be legit the best Mexican food restaurant I had ever been to and now I just can't say that's the case anymore

Loved the casual atmosphere. The service was very good. There were lots of menu options for the family. Recommend the enchiladas, but everything was good. Making the reservation online was easy. Good experience all round.

Ordered some traditional street tacos with barbacoa, and the Verde sauce was phenomenal! House salsa and chips are all homemade. Marg flights and plenty of refreshing flavors to choose from. Visited on Cinco de Mayo and they were fast on service, and the food was on point! Will be back, with mas amigos! 🇲🇽🌮💯

Had a nice dinner with friends to check out the renovated space. We were impressed by both the space and the menu. I will go back again and again for the nonalcoholic cucumber mint margarita. It was outstanding. I had the shrimp bowl and the shrimp was impressively tender, and flavorful. Guacamole starter was great, as well as the roasted corn. High-quality food in a very pleasant atmosphere.

Don't bother spending your money and going to this place. It started when I tried setting up a reservation for me and partner. I was told that they no longer take less than 5 people. Somehow I managed to get a reservation after multiple times trying with the person on the phone. We get to the restaurant and we get told that we should be out in less than an hour because they needed the table by 6pm. We looked around and most tables have reservations for 2 and the majoroty of people were 4 or less. We ordered an appertizer before our meals we managed to get 2 bites and then after 2 min our food was out. So we had no time for appetizers, they had to take my boyfriend's appertizet plate because there wasn't enough room on the mini cafe table they had. The food terrible by all means. My boyfriend had 4 knuckles in Mole so he had to get his hands dirty in a fancy restaurant. I ordered the bisteak dish and it was watery with side of canned beans and slushy rice. Waitresses constantly walking by checking on us to make sure we were on track and they never filled our waters or drinks or anything. I can't believe we spent money on that place. Never again. They should go back to Richmond where they first started before the owners got all famous and rich.

This was my first time returning since they remodeled and I can safely say I'll be back. The atmosphere, service, and food are still incredible and the wait staff is very attentive. This place still has my favorite chimichangas in the valley and everything was fairly priced.

Tonight we got the chance to experience the newly renovated and expanded Antojitos Mexicano on College Ave in Appleton. We were NOT disappointed, to put it simply it was beautiful and delicious.
It’s swanky enough to be a solid go to when you want to dress up for a classy night out, but casual enough that you can go in jeans and a hat (like we did tonight).
The foot print is more than double the size, so much more spacious and open than ever before. If you’re wondering how all that additional room is possible, it’s because the restaurant is expanded to fill the neighboring building as well. Joining the two buildings was done so well it looks like it’s always been that way.
Covering two buildings doesn’t mean it feels too open or not inviting, it’s quite the opposite. It has a cozy feel to it created in many different ways. By adding sitting areas with couches, quaint tables, little nooks for drinks and appetizers and all the different looks and textures that were used, it feels like you’re able to experience the restaurant in many different areas, all with their own ambiance. Many different styles of chairs and and seating ensure you’ll be happy to enjoy your time there while soaking in the beautiful decor, lighting and of course those you’re with. There’s even a large community table for groups or getting to know others.
The food was as great as always, with quite a few new additional items on the menu but also so many of the same items we always loved. If you’re like us, you’ll also notice new dishes, plates, and much more. It’s a like a new restaurant, but one where you know you’ll already love the food, drinks and staff.
Speaking of drinks, there’s now 2 bars. The original bar and back bar area is still there but now there is a new, very large bar in the front of the new part. We didn’t partake in having drinks tonight but the drink menu is expanded as well. Of course there’s the favorites like Margaritas (our favorite being the BMW), Mojitos, Paloma’s etc, but there is also many new drinks on the menu (craft cocktails, beers and others that we’ll have to explore over the years).
We can’t wait to go back again and again. Congrats the to Antojitos’s team on their new chapter and thank you for providing a place for your customers to create memories with each other, while enjoying delicious food and drinks in such a beautiful place! We’re lucky to have such an amazing place in Appleton!

As amazing as ever! Just dined in on grand reopening night and was so pleased with our entire experience. The atmosphere from the second you walk up to the door (before you even enter!) is welcoming with the most authentic vibe.
We were immediately greeted by multiple smiling faces at the hostess stand and directed to a table in the beautiful new seating area. The new lighter colors on the walls brighten up the interior and really create a space that makes you feel like You’re somewhere you want to hang out all night. We were quickly greeted by our server, and given drink menus and food menus. She stopped back multiple times giving us plenty time to take in all the new choices and kindly asked if we had any questions. I was impressed by how many staff they had on opening night. We were also given chips and salsa (just as delicious — my favorite is the bean dip!) right away along with water, while we waited for our drinks. I was also impressed by how quickly we received our drinks from the bar, and how attentive our server was the entire experience, even though she had multiple tables. I tried something new on the menu, a build your own bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. It’s obvious that each ingredient to every item on the menu is thoughtfully decided upon, and every entrée is carefully prepared.
We were there tonight for a girls night, but I cannot wait to bring the kids to see it and dine here. There are so many new seating options, including couches and upholstered chairs, and beautiful custom art on the walls. Also new bathrooms!
I am so proud of this local Appleton establishment and cannot wait to go back (again and again)! We are very fortunate to have this place and such an authentic Mexican food experience here in our own town.

Just visited after renovations. The atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous. The food was average upon reopening they were very skimpy on the chips and salsa, there was no buy one get one deal on Monday and only offered margaritas in 12oz glasses which were $9 each or a pitcher for $38. Every side was an additional price as well although prior to reopening that wasn’t even a thing and was included with the meal. They also took many of the fan favorites off of the menu as well. There were plenty of waitresses there and had enough people working but our waitresses were lacking and seemed to forget about our table. The other staff was great and was very helpful when they saw we were getting little to no service. I don’t recommend this place at all there are better restaurants to give business to that are more family oriented and have better deals and food. I understand they just re opened but hoping this is an eye opener for regular customers and business owners about past experiences that were better than this time.

We went here recently and waited a good 10 or 15 minutes once seated to have our waitress great us. The Marg was very very light on liquor, couldn't taste it at all. Out of the four of us, only 1 of us liked the food we got and the bill was over $120. The nacho appetizer was very good I must say. Was very disappointed that they didn't offer a military discount at all though. Always a down side when companies don't support the people who fight for their freedom.

First time at Antojitos after trying to eat here because they don’t take reservations for smaller parties, which is fine. The atmosphere is good and service was also good. The margarita flight with four flavors for $17 was worth it. Both my wife and I tried a burrito. She had the chorizo and I had the carne asada. The carne asada was hard to tell it was steak. It was finely cut similar to ground beef. The burrito was an odd shape. I wish it tasted better than it looked. Outside of the food it was alright at best. Much better Mexican options in the area.

The drinks we ordered were well done. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food was less than desirable. The tacos were too greasy and lots of fat. Also ordered the "filet mignon" burrito which was a huge disappointment, it was mostly just rice with small traces of meat. I would have rather paid more for more meat. Nice place, great location, but it's a must pass. Much better Mexican food elsewhere.

EDIT: The past two years have left us with hit or miss experiences. Sometimes the service is lacking, other times the food is meh. Specifically with my favorite Cremosa Chile Relleno—several times the potatoes have either been oily or undercooked, leaving Me extremely disappointed.
Fabulous service, atmosphere, drinks, and food! Felt like a hip Mexican restaurant you would find in a metropolitan area! We enjoyed the margaritas and Creamy Pina Colada’s (that’s a showstopper drink by the way—oohs and ahs from the whole table at its arrival), the complimentary chips and salsas were tasty, and I cleaned the plate of my Cremosa Chile Relleno (from their favorites menu) leaving SATISFIED. We will be back—with friends!

Great atmosphere, especially if you take the outdoor table! They always serve this chips with different sauce when tou arrive (beans, tomato and I guess the other one is eggplant, not sure).
Before choosing tour table, you have to talk to the manager and BE SURE the waitress is aware! I gave 3 to service because there was one time we spent more than 20 minutes, looking at waitress, calling them and they simply ignored us.. Then, I guess they talked to the manager (who received us) and the guy came, explained that he forgot to tell to waitress that he received us and apologized many times..
Even so, I would come back! Their food is delicious and well served! This burrito was INCREDIBLE great!

I only took a pic of the queso but it was good!
Chicken Tinga tacos were a bit on the salty side. Husband had a carne asada quesadilla which he shared a bite and that was so good!
Negatives: QR code for the menu but no free WiFi. Coming from overseas I did not want to pay for the data but thankfully we had just gotten our kid a stateside number and was able to view the menu that way.
There was a 3% service charge for using a card but did not see that posted, not saying that it was not posted but we did not see it posted until we received our receipt to sign after the card was swiped.

Complete rip off. Was charged $14 per drink. Ordered a drink and instead of asking for the type of alcohol they say they went with Patron (was no patron). For four of us the bill came to over $230 with food. No patron in beverages. Jack and coke was weak. Customer service sucked! Won't be back.
Update August of 2023 - price of food has increased yet again. I can get more food at Sangrias with a lot better service. Luis was our server and they were lacking customer service skills. They knew that their customer service skills sucked but made the excuse that they were short staffed. Since COVID, we have all been empathetic at establishments due to the lack of staff but this was far below acceptable yet again. Going forward, Sangrias will get my business. Two strikes you're out.

I took 2 sips of my drink and did not like it. It had way too much lime. I asked the server if I could have something new and he said if I did he would charge me for the drink that I didn't like. He also refused to take it off my bill. When I asked to speak to a manager, no one came to the table. I have never to a place that has refused to be accommodating to their guests.

Can’t say that was an enjoyable experience.
We did not care for our food. Nothing tasted fresh. It was all heavy and greasy. It gave us both heartburn and messed with our stomachs. Neither of us finished our meals and tossed our leftovers. The service was slow, but otherwise friendly. The establishment could have been cleaner. The music was way too loud.
Would not return.

Had to stop finally after hearing such great things about this place. First impressions were a bit bad. A little too rustic looking for me, mismatched tables and chairs, plywood ceiling and kitchen made out of 2x4s with extension cords. Menu is a QR code on the table leaving us fumbling phones to see the menu.
Our server was a bit too quiet and mumbly for my liking as I had a very hard time hearing them to understand the options/questions I was given. That said they were very attentive and helped our younger guest find/order something she would eat.
Food tasted fresh, not something sitting in a Nesco that was just thrown on a plate. Our younger guest did not eat as she said it was too spicy for her. For the price I would have a hard time returning frequently. As in my eyes the portion size does not reflect price.
