The waiter was fine! The girl seating guest was the worst 5 couples walked out waiting to be seated and they weren't busy! 10 tables open at least. The manager came out and cleaned tables and seemed very upset with her she is not the first face you should have people exposed to. The people that did stay were angry to be kept waiting she just stood behind the table and put her hand under her chin like people weren't even there. You lost 5 future customers also who probably won't be back. And I don't believe I will be back for months in hoping I don't have to deal with this incompetent employee.

Maybe I am just extra critical because of my time working at this Applebees in highschool/college, but I was disappointed by my family’s recent visit! I am not sure if the training/management is different or if it is the servers themselves choosing not to, but we were never offered small plates for the appetizers (which always used to be standard), were not checked up on often, and were not asked follow up questions on our order (for example if we would like to customize our sides). Regarding the food, it was good, but took about 25-30 minutes to get our mozzarella stick appetizer. When ordering a Coors Light Brewtus, instead of informing us they were out of tap they just brought a bottle to the table. They were also out of Mountain Dew. Overall a great remodel inside (yay to no more gross carpet), but just fell short on other aspects. Hopefully as time goes some of these hiccups are straightened out and servers get more comfortable!

The new Applebee's/Ihop restaurant is phenomenal. I had a combination order of eggs, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. With an orange juice to drink it was quite filling. Excellent service. Was relatively cheap. Will be back over and over again.

I am unhappy and I tried to contact them at the URL for" Talk to us.... "but the link was not working. We had been fairly regular patrons of Applebee's but the new combo with IHOP has issues with gift cards and discounts and menu changes
It will be awhile before we go back.

I was here over a year ago before it changed to a applehop, since becoming a conjoined franchised I think that they have improved their quality of food and attitudes, but not enough. To start the hostess didn’t really say anything when we walked in and just sat us. Then we waited a bit for someone to come over to our table and I find it very odd you have to ask for water refills when your cup has been sitting on the end of the table, the food quality has improved I will give them that, but the overall experience was still disappointing. I hope they continue to try and improve.

Arrived there at lunch time. Place was busy. Seemed they were short staffed. We sat at bar and ordered our drinks. As soon as they arrived, we ordered our meal. That's when it went downhill. My wife had the ceasar salad with grilled shrimp and I had cheeseburger (pink) with fries. The food took 20 minutes to arrive. The salad had brown leaves and overdone shrimp. It was like it sat under a heating lamp for a period of time. The cheeseburger was over done and the lettuce was also brown. We couldn't send the back since we had to make an appointment that afternoon. Will be awhile before we go back.

Nobody smiled when addressing you. Drink refills had to be as for. Ran out of broccoli, located next to a grocery store. Appetizer can when rest of food came out. Even though we asked for it to be served before. Chicken tenders were over cooked. My steak and potatoes were cold. This never happened before at this restaurant. Very disappointed they didn’t do anything special for my granddaughters birthday. We even had a birthday balloon attached to the chair.

They never answer their phone when you try to call to place an order. If you’re busy, I understand, but you still need to answer your phone regardless if you need to hold, they will understand when you’re busy thenThe online order doesn’t even work properly. They are so rude on the Phone if you’re lucky to get them on the phone, one of the gentleman’s hung up on Me when I was trying to place an order cause he said he was too busy.. And I went into the Marshfield location then to confront them and they were so rude and the manager Wouldn’t even talk to me. What a horrible experience I will never ever ever go there again. I used to go there all the time when it was just Applebee’s but the people they have on staff now are just completely rude and don’t know how to treat customers whatsoever. I cannot believe They are in the Customer Service business. Just absolutely horrible Marshfield I’m ashamed of you!

So I wanted to post update my original review, I was feeling someone bad and I thought maybe I’ll give it a second shot. Give the food to try at least and see how things play out. Well, I greatly regret my decision. I’m definitely not one that normally ever leaves a review good or bad but I can’t help it in this case .
So I’m one that prefers to order with an human being over the phone so I know that my order gets right because I can’t customize things very easily when I do it online. I tried for over two hours to get through over the phone and nobody answered for one thing. I always used to call Applebee’s and just do it over the phone and never had a problem before, but people used to be really nice that used to work at previously. But finally just gave up, and I decided to do it online. I wasn’t able to do car side. Because app wouldn’t Allow it to go through otherwise So I had to do pick up in store, and the order tracking did not work then also in the app. So I really have no idea when my order was going be ready. so i tried calling Store again to find out when the order might be ready. Finally, I just went to the location and hopefully pick up my order, no idea how long my order would be sitting there and ready. Well it was sitting there ready, but the couldn’t even tell me how long it was even sitting there. So indeed, the order was quite cold when I received it at home. So it had to been sitting for a while then. And then after checking my order when I got home, yep it was completely wrong. It was missing side items from my order as well as all my dipping sauces. :( i also ordered additional sides. I didn’t even the get the cheese topping for my French onion soup. so big details and small details were missing from my order. so I was very discouraged. Why is it so hard to get an order right? It’s right there in front of you.. Applebees isn’t very cheap, and I paid quite a bit last night for my order. and my money just went down the drain. Nothing tasted good even because it was cold and lacked flavor because it didn’t even have all the items As far as sauces needed to go along with the items like marinara from my mozzarella sticks or sauce for my chicken wings. It’s like come on dude look at the order before you send it out to the Customer, please double check it ! So I definitely definitely won’t be going back. Just, horrible Customerservice, and horrible food. That’s it, I’m truly done this time! 100% done and I hope you all read my review because It was just a waste of money, money write down the drain:(

if I could give service 0 stars I would. The hostess didnt greet us or say anything and made a rude comment about me and my friends. Then our server rushed us to order and then when we wanted more time I heard her go in the back and say "Not yet because they are taking forever to order" she took our food order immediately when we came in... we didnt know what we wanted. We ordered online, went to the restaurant to pick up the food/drinks we ordered and waited 20 minutes past our time we were told it would be done. Waited all that extra time to end up with cold food and the wrong drinks. Co2 or flavor must've been off in their fountain machine because the drinks we did get were so disappointing and disgusting we just tossed them out. Tried to call them about our complaints but the phone just rings and rings, no voicemail or anything.

The absolute worst experience I have had at a sit down restaurant. We sat at the bar, mind you we were the only ones at the bar. I ordered a root beer and my fiancé ordered a Bloody Mary. I got my root beer relatively quickly. It took over 15 minutes for my fiancé to get a drink. The bartender was walking around like he was lost.. looking around. He eventually came back and made a drink for another table. Once he finished that he went back to looking around and my fiancé finally said he’ll just take a root beer. The bartender told us “I was just coming to ask what you wanted because we don’t have the alcohol for a Bloody Mary”. Strange to me that they don’t carry vodka.. finally he got a drink after being there almost twenty minutes already. Now it comes to ordering our food. I did a Cesar salad and boneless chicken wings, and my s/o had ordered ribs, he said he was out of ribs. So he switched to a burger and asked for broccoli on the side.. to be told they don’t have broccoli. So far everything he’s tried to order they don’t have?? He brought my wings out as a appetizer instead of my meal except they were bone in wings, I sent them back because I asked for boneless. Which he told me they just started making them they’ll be out shortly. Perfectly fine, it gave me time to eat my cesar salad.. which had 6 croutons on it, and was doused in ranch dressing not Cesar dressing. Finally my wings came out, I was expecting hot wings, I bit into them and they were cold. Extremely disappointed and will not be back to this establishment. The bartender does not have the right energy to be a bartender, yet alone a server.

If you're going to rebrand, ensure you have ALL menu items available, ensure curbside or delivery is an option. This is insane, half the items we were going to order online were not available at this location. Curbside was not available and a quarter of the websites functionality does not actually work. Avoid this Hop-Bee restaurant and hope it hops out of business for good. There are better places outside of Marshfield to eat just travel a bit.

Applebee’s has just had their grand reopening with the conjunction of IHop new interior updates and definitely a new twist on a traditional restaurant but you will have the ability to order from one or the other (and who doesn’t love breakfast) I do love my Applebee’s appetizers and its tradition to celebrate our birthdays at Applebee’s so glad it is open after a month of being closed for the remodel

One of our meals was completely wrong so had to wait even longer then was served correct meal without gravy when it's supposed to have gravy so had to ask for it. Disgusting food, unorganized chaos, long wait time for carryout order 48min wait at 330pm. . . Eggs were not cooked thoroughly. Also ordered strawberry banana pancakes that had a total of 3 strawberries and 4 banana slices... no syrup or whipped cream. Colorado omelet was extremely dry with barely any meat. Beyond disappointed. I thought with the new duo and remodel this place would be better... I will start by saying that my Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp was good. Food was hot, chicken was cooked perfect. HOWEVER, the service was really poor. My first impression of the restaurant was that it could use a wipe down. There is a layer of scuzzy grease on everything. Booths, walls, you name it. Then, my daughter and I were sat and it took a bit for our server to make it over. I later learned that all servers were given only 3 tables a piece because it's slow. I overheard this as our server JJ (name on nametag), was arguing with the host over where she was seating guests. That resulted in a couple turning around and walking out. I'm assuming because of the drama. Then I watched my server get consistently distracted, talking to her "brother in law" and forgetting simple things to bring to tables. Then, our food was put in. Mind you, there are 6 tables sat at this time. It became clear very quickly that she forgot to put our order in, as we saw food go out to tables and tables cash out, in the time we waited for our food to come. She let us know it would be a while because our food was "given to another table with the same order". So our food arrives, probably 45 minutes from order time, and it's incorrect. The sandwich was made beautifully, but it had cole slaw and Smothered in a sauce. My daughter wanted the new honey mustard chicken and this one was not sufficient. She ate her fries and I told JJ. She spun a tale of how it was the cooks and I stopped her. I said "please dont blame them. It's obvious you have been distracted with giving your boyfriend money and him being here 2x since we sat and being very absent when there are such few guests" (and she told me it was her brother in law). I said either way, perception is everything. She gave him money, she disappeared so many times, and she forgot a lot of things when she made trips back and forth. This was a rough experience. And I dont appreciate her not taking responsibility for her poor service and forgetfulness. Don't blame cooks. Those dishes came out stunning. Even if we didnt get the right sammich. Visit this location with caution. The manager didnt come to apologize either. But I saw her yapping in the office when I went to use the restroom. So I know she was on shift. Those cooks should move on. They would be so much better off somewhere else in town. I'm afraid this place is a sinking ship.

I've never left a Google review but this experience was worth making an exception. My experience was very embarrassing and frustrating. I came here alone after doing some shopping to treat myself. I ended up spending almost 2 hours in a completely dead restaurant, with incorrect orders, bad food, and a rude and hurtful waitress. It took me at least 30 minutes to get one drink out of the 2 I ordered (a glass of water and a glass of wine) she gave me the wrong wine and I never got my water. It took even longer to get my food. Then when I asked for a box and the bill things got upsetting. I waited for at least another 30 minutes where my waitress would periodically come up and say "oh I forgot your bill". After a certain point I finally said "I really need to be going". My waitress freaked out said "YOU CANT LEAVE WITHOUT PAYING YOUR BILL" and then marched around the bar stating I had too much to drink and that I was trying to walk out. The manager came out, gave me my bill, I paid and I left. Hopefully to never return. If any of the Applebee's management reads these reviews do yourselves a favor and fire Cynthia. This was a horrible experience...

I will start with our waiter was fine I think she did her best but we ordered drink and an appetizer. The drinks came after 15 mins. After probably another 30 mins we placed our order for dinner and asked for it to go because it was getting late and me and my wife wanted to just go home at that point. Why are one of my set of wings plain when they should be Garlic Parm for my wife? If I honestly could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. This place is absolutely DISGUSTING. The workers are lazy. Most of the time I see them sitting in a booth on their phones. They are all rude. The silverware is dirty every time. The food is never cooked right. I heard the cooks don’t wear gloves or hair nets, which explains the hair I found in my burger. They are always out of something. The bathroom water is freezing cold. A pipe bursted. Don’t waste your time going here. This place just needs to shut down already.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the place reeked of garbage, which should have been my first warning. The tables were dirty the entire time I was there, and no one seemed interested in cleaning them.

The food was just as bad—my steak was rough and dry, and the ribs tasted like they were cooked over pure coal. Definitely not worth the price.

To top it all off, the manager was beyond unprofessional. He invaded my space, practically sticking his head into my plate as if he was ready to take a bite. Where’s the privacy? And to make matters worse, his attitude was blatantly racist.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that values good food, cleanliness, and basic respect for customers.

Applebees in Marshfield is run down and going bankrupt…the bathroom has been out of order for about 3 months now…bathroom only do cold water 🤮 not good for food and safety. The heater is never working. The manager Jordan stands around all day waiting on a photo opportunity. The cooks wear no hairnets the food you receive 8/10 time the hair be picked out of it. Pipes are busted constantly bringing up urine water. Place needs to close and rebuild. If you want to wait 50 minutes on food this is the place to go! Oh and when u go up be sure to look up and pray a pipe doesn’t fall in your head! It happens atleast once a month. 0/10 recommendations

Completely under staffed, saw our waitress twice, took our order and brought drinks 30 minutes later. Cook brought our food out and he was covered in food. Got the sampler with no small dishes so we had to ask for napkins to put food on. Never had the chance to get a drink refill. Spent over 90 minutes there. Took 30 minutes to receive our check after asking a different waitress.Worse service my family has ever received. Not sure I will ever give a second chance. Never saw a manager all night to explain or apologize for the terrible service

Waited 15 minutes for our drinks. The restraunt wasn't busy at all. Waited over 45 minutes for our food that was cold, just to have my wife wait another 5 minutes for her salad and soup. Third time we've had the same waiter, and the same issue each time.
Food would have been good, but the waiter was horrible. A different waitress was more help than the waiter assigned to us.

What an absolutely HORRIBLE experience!!
Coming into the restaurant, we were told there would be a wait, which everyone was fine with. We asked if we could sit at the bar, so we could get some cocktails and milkshakes before dinner, we were told that was totally fine.
As we sat and waited, we started to notice others coming in well AFTER us, were getting not only seated, but also served. That is when we heard the bartender, Aunika, tell one of the servers NOT to serve us, or take our order, as we were told there was a wait, and we came to the bar thinking we would get faster service.
Needless to say, the service at the bar was unbelievably bad. Waiting 10 minutes before even being acknowledged is bad enough, but then to wait an additional 15 minutes to receive a couple of beers is unbelievably bad! This is why we had the time to look around and realize that others, coming in after us, were getting seated and served, while we still waited.
One of the people in our party actually asked some guests on that side of the bar, if we really heard this Aunika correctly, they whole-heartedly confirmed this, and they thought it was absolutely disgusting that we had to put up with this treatment. Now, we all understand that sometimes people need to wait to be seated, but for an employee to tell other employees this, and with animosity in her voice, that is completely unacceptable!
I BEGGED everyone in my party to NOT tip this person...she did not deserve anything, and should not be allowed to work in customer service!
Once we FINALLY got a table, we asked for a manager to serve us, as we definitely would not be leaving a tip, and we did not feel the person serving us, should have to put up with the MAJOR dereliction their coworkers showed of their job duties!
This lasted for 10 minutes. The manager proceeded to leave, with zero notification to us, and pawned our table off on someone else, who was a normal server.
Even though we DID NOT want to leave a tip, as our service was absolutely horrendous, and we felt extremely disrespected, we all ended up leaving the girl a tip, as she was very good. One of our party did go to some other manager, and explained we did NOT want the tips we left to go to ANYONE except our actual server, as everyone else we dealt with was an absolute pathetic excuse for a server, and they are ones that should NOT be in customer service!
This Marshfield location has been one of the WORST experiences that any of us have been put through at a chain restaurant!
To think that you are actually charging people money to patronize your location, with the service you are providing, is absolutely appalling!

Applebees' had a fundraiser to help children which they explained and made it fun to learn about. Applebee's has some new offers of meal entrees. Give them a visit.
