The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of the service we’ve gotten. I wonder what goes on in that kitchen? I had an allergic reaction to one of the desserts and my throat started swelling up. Thankfully I got relief right away. This is the best Applebee’s! The food is consistent, service is friendly and quick, and the restaurant is very clean. Hannah was our server and she was super attentive! She was always hustling, checking in with us multiple times, and ensuring our drinks were never empty. The food came out super quick and hot! My latest trip to the Applebee's in Delafield, Wisconsin, was an absolute rollercoaster of laughter and deliciousness! As soon as I walked in, Riley Cornell greeted me with a "Welcome to the best Applebee's on this side of the planet!"—and honestly, they weren't wrong. Things got off to a hilarious start when a giant inflatable apple (don't ask why it was there, I have no clue) rolled through the dining area like it was auditioning for a bowling tournament, knocking over a random display of ketchup bottles. Riley joked that the apple had "a mind of its own," and we couldn’t stop laughing.

I ordered the mozzarella sticks—always a winner—and Riley said they were fried "with the power of a thousand suns." My entrée, the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp, came out sizzling so loudly that I felt like I was in a fireworks show, and Riley made it even funnier by acting like they had to dodge the "pyrotechnics." As for the Bahama Mama, Riley said it would make me feel like I was "on a tropical island, but still with that Midwest charm," which, honestly, was pretty accurate!

Stood and waited 15 minutes before we even saw a worker and was seated. After being seated we waited 30 minutes for food and the plates were hot and the food was cold/luke warm. The only hot item was the French fries. The stake was asked for medium done and was very rare and was nothing but fat. The grilled chicken was super dry and had parts of it that was still pink. Waiter had asked if we needed a drink refill and forgot to bring it to us until the end when asking if we were done. I expected more attentive staff with them being so slow (only had 4 tabes seated in the whole place), watched someone who was there for a pick up order stand for 10 minutes and it wasn’t until he stood by what I’m assuming was the entrance to the back before he was even helped. Was hoping for a great meal for my and my husbands anniversary but instead got cold food and poor service, I’ve also never seen a waitress run so fast to the table after we stood up to see if there was a tip or not and as we walked outside you could see her in the window counting it.

We stopped in last night 11/9 after a comedy show in downtown Milwaukee. We were in a rush as we had a two plus hour drive home and I was craving a burger. It was around 7:30 on Saturday night. Very few people. Very few staff. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. I had a mushroom and swiss burger and fries. Hubby had steak, potatoes and green beans. Admittedly I didn't take any photos because plating was nothing special. Actually plating was really sad looking. But I just have to say my burger was SO good! One of the best I've had anywhere. I also had them bring me the beer cheese dip they serve with their soft pretzels for me to dip my fries. I'm not a fan of ketchup. That beer cheese dip was very good as well.
Definitely give the mushroom and swiss burger a try!!

You definitely didn't come to Applebee's to be "family", or for "gourmet" food, and no it's not for the cheapest food in town...

The menu is just adventurous enough to have something for everybody, and here's the good news, it's actually above average for most chain restaurants. No, you won't find anything super uniquely exciting on their menu but you can tell the designing chefs made efforts to ensure the food would always be just a step above average, giving each dish a little something extra to make you want to keep coming back.

With that being said, they have unfortunately taken a disappointingly die hard position to push their extremely dry, chewy, mediocre boneless wings in place of their actually very good traditional wings, which are tender, juicy, fall off the bone, good with a delicious buffalo sauce that trumps most. You used to be able to get them with their appetizer sampler(now, combo platter), but strangely they now push the boneless and refuse to even make the substitution anymore. Granted, it's a minor detail having to order the wings separately from the combo in addition so I'll move on.

The staff seems to be composed of former and aspiring highschool flunkies (particularly the hosts). The managers never seem to have a handle on things, as tho every night is a mess to rival the previous. No one ever seems to know what's going on around them and they don't give off a sense they care to. Occasionally you will get a good waiter or bartender who is friendly, attentive, and competent. They never seem to last more than a couple years at a time tho before they've either left for better jobs or just got tired of poor management. This is just what I've gathered from my 19 years of experience dining here and getting to know several of the former staff.

The atmosphere is the very definition of cliche. There's no reason to discuss it. It's just fine, it's what most people seem to be just fine with.

In conclusion, good food but poorly run. Assuming they get your order correct, "Carside to Go" is going to be your best experience here unless they have a good bartender or waiter you enjoy seeing.

Side note: during my last dine-in experience, our waitress seemed to be newer but was very nice and wanted to be helpful. Some things were forgotten and some things took a bit longer than they should but I don't believe any of that to be her fault aside from not noticing what was or wasn't going on with her own section, which was not busy at the time. Not going to penalize her too much for that tho seeing as how she seemed to still be learning.

I was absolutely disappointed. I was out of town for work and this place is next the the hotel that I stayed. I am sure you saw all the adds for $14.99 all you can eat wings, shrimp and ribs?. So I was really excited, the adds on TV did the job.
Food was not worth it, price was OK and yes you could eat many times but the quality of this dish was not bueno to say the least, I barley eat 1 round.I strongly suggest to buy something else.
On top of that service was bad ,bad and bad.

If I could I would give 3.5 stars. Our server and everyone we encountered were very friendly, even with our obnoxious children. However we were never offered water and even after our drinks were gone we were not asked if we wanted something else. It also took longer than normal to receive our check. The food was okay, nothing great. The kids meals are very basic and bland. They only took one bite of their mozzarella sticks and did not like them. Didn't have to wait to be seated but the seats were uncomfortable. We both ordered the four cheese macaroni with chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were good but the four cheese macaroni tasted watered down pretty much just like eating plain macaroni both of us felt the dish was not very good, neither myself or my teenager. We did have the triple chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and that was delicious. This is the first time I've had a bad experience at Applebee's.

Went on 10/3 for dinner. Husband ordered a bourbon burger with sautéed onions and the burger was covered in onions. He took a bite and it was nothing but onions. Pub fries were lacking the beer cheese sauce. The zombie drink had a weird taste. Waitress only paid attention to the larger table. All in all, we left with a $50 bill, bland food and our 1/4 eaten dinner at the table. Wasn't even worth taking home and having leftovers. Won't be returning.

It's been awhile since we ate at Applebee's but it still is great. The menu has been updated. It was hard to choose. So many new options along with some old favorites. We all agreed our meals were great. Service was good too

Fiesta chicken overcooked. Rice with it inedible- cold and dry. Friend had pasta and breadstick. Liked it. Regret not being able to name our server. She was delightful.

Hamburger quesadilla was soo good!! Server had great character in that he sat my mom, who is elderly and myself down to a table. And he was polite and energetic. Would go back again.

Sat at the bar 10 minutes before the hostess came over and told us that we should not have sat there and that the bartender would not be helping us. Bar was covered in dirty dishes. Hostess went back to the entrance and chatted with servers that were standing around the area doing nothing. We left and went elsewhere for lunch. Place was empty at lunchtime, probably for good reason.

Everyone but the server was friendly and attentive. But the server was curt and in a word, useless. She sucked all the joy out of our meal, got my order wrong and even returned to our table with our payment because she dropped a penny and was short for the bill. Luckily the greeter intervened and we left on a high note.

Had Melissa as our Waitress and it was a wonderful experience. Felt comfortable to ask questions, and made the time with my siblings great after finally stopping being on the road for over almost 4 hours. Drinks were on point, food was a great fill, and the vibe here was just worth stopping for sure. No regrets on that. Definitely recommend to anyone passing by or in the neighborhood.
