I haven't been to this establishment in years because of poor experiences but I was craving the wonton tacos so went against my better judgement. I walked into a dining room with only one other patron in the whole place, stood at the door while 3 employees looked at me, continued to talk to each other without acknowledging with as little as a smile. Waited 5 minutes while they acted like I wasn't there. (I know, I should have turned right around). As soon as she sat me in a booth. I ordered quick and went to use the restroom which was covered in toilet paper on the floor, one stall out of order and one of the two stalls open had no toilet paper. Mine you this was 30 min after they opened. When I sat back down I could just smell that the area I was seated hadn't been cleaned in forever, you know the smell I'm talking about. Food was mediocre (I don't even know why I ate it) service was the same. Never once asked how anything was or if I needed anything. Just sat items on the table and walked away. The only words I got out of her were a response when I thanked her. Also heard someone screaming and swearing in the kitchen with no reaction from anyone, like it was normal. I will be finding the recipe for those wonton tacos and NEVER will I set foot in those four walls again.

The general manager was flippant. I didn't like the Bourbon Street penne pasta. When asked if it could be replaced.she refused and said they didn't make an error and wouldn't replace because of my personal preference. It has been done for others. why not me?

If I could rate this less than one star, I would. Terrible service, dysfunctional staff, the cooks didn’t care, our server was sitting down in the back on her phone and doing her side work.
We ordered fries as an appetizer and we didn’t get them until an hour after we ordered… correction; we didn’t even get our food because we decided to leave 10 minutes before they closed. How long does it take to throw fries into a fryer? It wasn’t even busy! We were one of two groups in there…

I have been here at least 5 times and no problems, but tonight was different and perhaps the last time visiting the store. Over an hour waiting for the food, when I asked how long it was gonna take I received an answer from the waitress of:”well I do not know, I am not cooking, am I? Let me ask to the kitchen …sorry? When I asked it was already 40 minutes, then she came back and said it would be take 5 minutes top which actually took 20-25 minutes. A simple apologize would have solved it but she barely stopped by the table when she was having only one additional table, restaurant was almost empty. Sad experience.

Second Applebees of the night. The one I went to first was in Milwaukee on my way home back to IL. Figured we’d stop at this location instead since we've been here before and service was always on a timely manner & it’s on the way. We get greeted right away, get seated & get our drink order taken within 5 mins of being there. Mind you, only 3 other tables were seated besides us. 15 mins passed & our waitress had not returned to take our food order either. Got up & left from this location as well. So disappointed in the Applebees franchise. Lost a good tipping customer.

Had the pleasure of visiting my local neighborhood bar & grill in Kenosha & I couldn’t be more disappointed. Upon arriving, our waitress (can’t remember her name, only the disgusting attitude) immediately gave us the impression she clearly had no intention of taking the time to be friendly, courteous, or sincere. We waited 45 minutes to an hour for our drinks, & then an additional hour for our food. When we asked for a time frame, she replied “yeah it’s coming” rolled her eyes, & walked off. Didn’t offer an apology for the wait, not even a “sorry, the kitchen is a little backed up”, NOTHING. She should honesty be retrained if that’s the service she provides. I did HOWEVER, notice the waiter to my right (a tall black gentlemen) taking care of his customers to a degree of care that should be recognized & applauded. The manager offered multiple apologies but it doesn’t make up for the fact that we chose YOUR establishment & wasted 2 hours of our time.
Not only did half my table not eat their meal, we didn’t want to take it home bc of the poor quality ON TOP of the terrible service.
Instead of finishing the meals that came out COLDER THAN ROOM TEMPERATURE, we headed across the street to Mission BBQ to make up for the terrible service we received here.

My stop for lunch was terribly disappointing, to say the least. Ordered the Burger special. It arrived with blood ruining down the bun. yuk! I cut it and it was raw!! The fries were so salty, you couldn't eat them. Called over the server to reject the plate. She walked away with it before I could finish giving my comment about the fries. I got a new burger with half the fries. The only compensation was 10% off! Really, this is how you handle serving uncooked food and wasting my time. Will not visit again.

OMG! My daughter and I went out last night here and enjoyed ourselves!! The entire atmosphere and staff were so welcoming from the moment we skated in on our skates. Freddy our waiter was the best and even his Boss came to check on us too. Freddy was a joy to have waiting on us; we actually wanted to invite him to join our table. Went in with friends (only 3 couples total) for my 50th birthday. Appetizers were cold, food took forever to arrive and was subpar at best. We had to ask for silverware and straws. One person ordered water, another a vodka/7up, the waiter got them confused. We complained in restaurant and were told they were sorry but only had one cook working. There were very other diners in the restaurant. I also complained after the fact and was given the sad excuse of they're short staffed as is the norm in the industry. A month prior my husband and I went to Olive Garden for our anniversary and had outstanding food and remarkable service. My recommendation is to travel the extra couple miles for a much better evening. We will never return to Applebee's!

They forgot about us multiple times. Saw us come in and said they would be right back, 15 minutes later came back and said oops sorry. Then sat us and 29 minutes later I had to ask someone to wait in us. Once we order, the next time I saw the waitress we were standing at the door asking for the bill. The first impression was alright. The person who sat us and waited on us looked like he had a rough night. It was not busy at 1 pm and was wondering why. We ordered an appetizer (the tacos) they were good, but the crispy ranch chicken sandwich was not. It was overcooked. Food is always OK. We go for the deals and because it’s made quickly and it’s usually a dead spot. I want to shout out James for giving us drinks after 10 minutes of waiting. He wasn’t even our server and noticed the women who was our waitress was “so busy” chatting it up at the bar while we didn’t even get drink orders or get a chance to order our food. Let alone even ask us “if we knew what we wanted yet”.

We do not need an extremely long amount of time to order the food. I mean it’s (Apple Bees) We know what we wanted so it’s kind of frustrating that we were sitting there extra long for no reason. We wasted 15 minutes sitting there and another 5mins debating if we should leave and go to Chilis We got up, walked out and our waitress or anyone else in the entire restaurant didn’t even notice. My girlfriend forgot her purse, went in and still wasn’t even noticed. This was 5 minutes later. Our waitress was still in the bag doing whatever she was doing. Like We were one of two other tables, so there was no excuse or reason for the service to be less than satisfactory. James and Dylan are both awesome. The woman we got seemed a little bit off her rocker. Overall, she was horrible, and when we do choose to go back to Applebee’s, we will not accept her as our server.

This occurred at 4:30 08/18/2024 Sunday.

Looking through the reviews I see her chatting it up it’s a common theme. I’d suggest getting rid of her before you guys drop down to 2 star restaurant.

Went with my 2 kids (3 & 7) for lunch. Kids options are really good, I had the all you can eat salad and soup, was delicious! Staff was very friendly and attentive, manager even brought my daughter an extra plate of strawberries because she devoured her first plate. Definately recommend 👌

If I could give no stars, I would. The ceiling was moldy and the moisture absorbing in the ceiling tiles are insane, and it leaked on me. Not just me, the whole ceiling was leaking in a ton of places. We left as quickly as we sat down. I couldn't eat food from a place that is literally decaying. I can't speak on anything because we were never even greeted at the door. There was a couple who walked in before us that walked out as we walked in. My husband and I were doing a date day stop at the Applebee's in Kenosha after going to see a movie. When we walked in no one acknowledged us, we wanted 5 minutes before we were seated. It’s been a while since I came to Applebees, I was not disappointed upon my return visit. I was greeted with a warm smile by the hostess who complimented me on my beautiful family. We were immediately sat. Our waitress, who seemed fairly new yet knowledgeable, rushed over to introduce herself and take our order. She gave some recommendations, but we went with the classic combo, which is our favorite, and a another appetizer to split. We quickly got our food, it all tasted great, and we ordered a dessert as well. The new waitress was kind and attentive, but not annoyingly attentive. She offered to go boxes and we went on our way fairly quickly. I truly appreciate quick service, especially when I have all the kids in tow.

I went here on a lunch date and got by the end police and management telling us we weren't welcome ever again. This was all due to a bloody finger print on the plate we were served. I just wanted them to take a picture and file a report because my other took a bite or two of the plate but they called the police on me because i was raising concern. The kitchen manager didn't want to file a report and I wasn't leaving until they did. But the report to the police was that a black man which was supposed to be me was bleeding all over the place in the kitchen of the restaurant. The GM arrived and she was the one who made the report to the police but wasn't there during incident, didn't care at all just wanted to show video and audio of the encounter which we got banned for life. 😂 It's sad that the only accountability the showed was offering the food for free or a new meal like I even wanted to make this a next time thing anyways! Was the worst experience in a restaraunt. Walked in, no greeter. Waited a few minutes and a guy appeared from the back in which he yelled for someone to come and seat us.

We were seated and a quick glance around the dining area i noticed five other parties. They sat to themselves and no waitstaff was present to check on their meal progress. We waited for five minutes before we noticed a worker appear, and she did go and check on those patrons. On her way back, she didnt acknowledge our presence until we actually asked for water. She promptly said, "i will get someone for you". A worker, not a wait staffer approached us and took our order. He was definitley not trained to work with customers. I do not fault him, as he did the best he could. One of our meal items, mine, was a bourbon bacon burger. Upon presentation it looked delish. Biting thru the flavors were exceptionally off. There was an odd taste that lingered and i did not finish my meal. The other person in my party however, felt the meal she ate was good.
This was an early afternoon, three o'clock time, meal and with so few customers i cant help to blame Applebees management in how they are staffing, let alone service and quality. For a food chain that has made it in Kenosha for many years; i cant fathom how this chain has let it depreciate to this level.
I always try to understand the challenges businesses face in current times with getting adequate help, but this was off the hook. I wont be going back.

Absolutely repulsive that they told the police the couple had only been there for 20 minutes. A blatant lie. They were so worried about the black couple just trying to eat dinner with their baby, that they didn't notice the real criminals sneak into the bathroom through the back door. We sat waiting for more than 10min to get seated when there was only about 4 tables filled and 3 people at the bar. We had to ask to get seated by this server/bartender that "didn't see us" even though she was sitting at the bar.
The water tasted soapy, and the food overall wasn't nothing special. I had the 3 tray favorites that came with dip and chips. The waitress Alcira was an amazing waitress. The one we had the night before, not so much. I spoke to manager Luis he took care of one of our meals while we were there the second night. Alcira waited on us. She was friendly and knows her job. I believe she will make a great manager. She should manage the waitresses and train them. Don’t just hire them because they previously waitressed. Also when I waitressed we had to wear hair nets. Alcira says she’s been there 7 years I do believe she’s ready to become manager.

I walk in and wait and wait and wait. I'm in my 70's and cannot stand very long. No one even acknowledged my waiting, so I had to sit down. The place was not busy in the least

Now I'm waiting for someone to notice me. An employee finally came over after about 10 minutes and asked what I would like. I said "a menu" and ordered an iced tea. Looked over the menu and now I'm waiting for a server... waiting waiting waiting for over 20 minutes or so. At that point, I put on my coat and left.

Totally disconnected and unenthusiastic staff...

Forget this place, because they don't care about customers!

Sandra was an awesome waitress I'll be coming back forsure . Even being pregnant and being on top of refills and asking if we need anything and being back within seconds with our request, if you go there I recommend asking for her thank you again and the bartender was also very excellent with her drinks, tasted soooo good I hope she's the bartender when I return thanks again😁

The ONLY positive was Cece. And the mozzarella sticks. It took about 7 or 8 minutes to be seated but we finally just sat at the bar. I think only 3 people were working the front, and one of them was the bartender Cece. She kept apologizing for the delays but it wasn't her fault. Whoever scheduled her did so to cover the bar, tables, AND to go orders. The only one on a Saturday! Insanity. We saw three couples leave after standing and waiting to be seated. One couple tried to get the attention of a guy that walked by them three times and he said "I'm busy, I'll be there in a minute" in an irritated voice. Ughhh...it's sad because the food was good and it's one of the only Applebee's by us. Corporate, get that location some help!!!

I would literally leave a zero stars if it was an option. We order for pick up. We got there when they said our food would be ready. When we walked in a rude girl said well we are 3 screens behind and said it was going to be another 25 to 30 mins. While standing there waiting I see 4 people standing around in the kitchen chatting. One vaping. IN THE KITCHEN. I ask to speak to the manager and said it was absolutely unacceptable for a staff member to be vaping in the kitchen in front of her. I asked for a corporate number and I was told they do not have that information. Our food was cold and had a weird taste. OSHA definitely needs to visit this establishment.

Although the posts about bad service for many of these Milwaukee Area locations are true overall. Today (Saturday) we went further out to this Kenosha location despite some recent poor reviews. We had our share of very poor service at three other Applebees in the Milwaukee area and figured we’d risk trying it one final time.
Our server, Cece, saved the day by keeping our business to this restaurant chain with her kind, friendly and quick service. The kitchen was on point today as well and there was no delay. Despite being shorthanded, Cece killed it and took care of many tables, including ours so professionally and attentively.
Whomever hired her should try to get more servers like her…you’d be much more successful with less complaints if you did. Thanks, Cece!

By far the worst experience I have had in my life. They were not busy. We waited 20 minutes to be greeted and seated. We ordered appetizers. I had to ask for plates and silverware twice. Waitress never once asked us for refills. I had to flag her down. Waitress would disappear for long periods of time. She looked extremely high. One of the waiters was unshaven and was talking to himself and looked like he was on drugs. Food came out and was horrible. Burger was burnt. Chicken dish dripping grease. Spinach dip was burnt. Pasta had no flavor. To get the bill I had to flag down a busboy because again my waitress was nowhere to be found. Very sketchy place with poor service and even worse food. Came in and was told a 20 min wait time, an hour into the wait we asked for a manager and the manager Talia told us if we didn't like the service we could go somewhere else. The host hid in the kitchen 80% of the time and at least 8 different groups of people just left. Every table in the restaurant was open except 3. We asked if we could sit at the bar and was told no, then people that walked in 45 mins after us were told they could sit at the bar and wait and they ended up being served food as well. Horrible experience doesn't even begin to describe how bad this place is and it blows my mind they're still open. If I could give negative stars I definitely would!

I have been to this location plenty of times and this time it was completely awful! Me and my man frequent here for dates nights or a quick bite and some drinks, well let me tell you the drink were great as usual and timely. That was the only thing good about our night. First off all the tables were dirty as heck, food was good. But once we did get our orders, we had to ask for everything and then they two guy servers one white and one black, had no clue what they were doing. Had to ask for napkins then got cocktail napkins. No one asked us if we enjoyed our food or filled our waters. All they did was dance around and laugh. Worst experience ever !!

Food was okay. Pasta was a bit dry. 3 stars because I was told "Our curbside is come in and pick up." Pretty misleading ordering curbside, and pulling up to a curbside sign that says to call if you're waiting longer than one minute, and getting a text with a link to let them know when youre there. Called multiple times. No one answers the phone to inform you that you have to go in. Thought maybe they needed more time due to it being a large order. Went in, and the food had been sitting for 27 minutes. Employees kept looking out at us parked and waiting. They were not busy so I don't understand why someone couldn't bring out the curbside order and inform us that next time we would have to go in.

As I write this review I am not stating that my personal experience was bad (it wasn’t great either) but what I witnessed while dining here is what I will focus on.

We arrived around 5pm, wasn’t busy, maybe 5 other tables were seated. No one greeted us as we waited a few minutes until a server walked by and told us it would be a few minutes. No host was at the stand and came from the kitchen. There was only 1 rolled up piece of silverware in the tray. (They gave us another one after we sat down)

After sitting down we were greeted by a new server, he made sure to let us know he was new and I could feel his nervousness. Poor guy did good in my opinion! We got the “all you can eat” meal. It took 20 min to get our first order of food. Wouldn’t expect it to take so long but maybe it does. We were here for over an hour due to the long periods of time we had to wait for our next plates of food to come out.

Shortly after receiving our food a customer walked over to the two servers standing at the POS ( they stood there nearly the entire time we were there) and complained that they have been waiting nearly 20mins after receiving their food that they still didn’t have any eating utensils and would like their bill and boxes to leave. After the incident over the course of 30-40 min several tables were seated around us. 4 different tables were sat by the hostess and then 1 by 1 each table left without even speaking to a server. They were sat and then forgotten about and after they waited 15-25mins they just got up and left…I don’t blame them. On top of that type of service the bar was mostly vacant…meaning that if someone ordered a drink a girl would come out from the kitchen make that drink then disappear
back into the kitchen. Just felt like they really didn’t care to be in sight of the customers. Also the music coming from the kitchen was so load it might as well of been the music playing on the speakers in the dinning area.

The take away from this is that if you are coming to this establishment keep in mind that you are coming for cheap food and you will receive equal service. With customer loss like I just talked about there needs to be an overhaul at this location, otherwise it wouldn’t surprise me if it closes soon.

I am giving 2 stars for this reason. 1 star for the service I saw at this establishment not the service I received. Another star for the food. It wasn’t great but you get what you pay for.

Worst Applebee's I have ever been to. Only 3 tables, including us, were in the restaurant. Took over 30 minutes for them to take our drink order.
The first 2 beers I attempted to order off the happy hour menu were tapped out.
Bartender repeatedly apologized for how terrible the one waiter on staff was.
Our happy hour appetizer never made it to our table (thankfully, it was not included in the check either)
My food came out prepared incorrectly.
They forgot my kid's order.

I would be surprised if this establishment stays open for 3 more months.

Update: Was asked to contact Applebee's guest relations because of this review. Did so. Still haven't heard back........

We waited to be seated for over 20 minutes. The hostess was hiding behind a wall texting on her phone. The bartender looked to be drunk. There was only one server. He kept apologizing for the lack of servers. When the additional servers arrived, one of them stood at the bar brushing her hair, and the other disappeared. They weren't busy, they had 2 servers plus a manager working. One server was busting his but while the other one didn't do hardly anything. The managers ended up being my server on top of being the door greeter and trying to run the place. The food come out good and hot, giving the circumstances.

Update: came in the afternoon for lunch and had a better experience. They weren't busy and the food came out hot and exactly as we ordered. The waitress was really awesome checking on us, and the manager kept asking her if she was taking care of us or just letting us sit there. I recommend coming here for lunch or early dinner.

Highlyyyyy disappointed. Go anywhere else but here. Ordered at 6pm for a takeout and they said it would be ready at 6:17. As you can see on the receipt didn’t get the food until 6:36pm. My husband went to pick up the order by himself. THENNNN we didn’t realize there was no chicken in the strawberry CHICKEN salad that we paid $16 dollars for until he was back home. When we called the restaurant it was hell getting ahold of someone then when we did we couldn’t even get ahold of the manager because nobody was picking up. This place is a joke. We went in on a Friday night and was told it would be at least a 50-minute wait, but the host did not know how long it would be. We wanted to sit at the bar and have drinks while waiting on our table but was told the bartender was also taking orders as they were short staff and we could not. We were told we had to stand by the door or wait in our car. Honestly, it seemed like the host was trying to get people to leave as he was not very friendly and was not sure about anything. Very sad situation. We ended up going down the street to cheddars and had an ok experience. At least we were able to sit at their bar while awaiting our table!
