Waited over an hour and still no meal - we walked in took at least 7 minutes before someone approached us to seat us. The place wasnt busy, but was chaotic and disorganized. Their were people who came in after us that were served before us. The ladies bathroom smelled like sewer and informed staff and all he said "yea we know and their working on it" Never Again... I use to Love Applebee's now will never step foot in it again....

We arrived on a Saturday just before 5 pm .
We were asked what type of seating we preferred, greeted respectfully with a smile.
The service was spot on. Drinks arrived within a few minutes, along with a list of all the specials they had running. Appetizers were offered.
I had questions on a dish that the server took the time to answer. I ended up ordering that dish, and I must say how it was described was exactly how it tasted.
They have a large fee parking area that's easy to enter and exit. Handicapped accessible for sure.
The only thing that could have been better was getting the servers name and filling out a great commit card for her. She was tipped well as anyone should be that takes the time to appreciate a customer.

I ordered my steak well done. I haven't had a steak in years, I travel for work so I decided to try one again and got this uncooked meat. I immediately brought it back and the manager took care of it without a problem. He apologized and my new order was great. The bartender who took my order she was great and a very sweet person.

My server, Abby, told us to leave a review and mention her so here it is. Our service from Abby was horrible. She was very rude, forgot to bring water after I asked twice. I had to ask the manager for the water the third time and he thankfully was amazing. Abby barely checked on us and when she would check on us she dryly said “good” and would leave for 20 min at a time. Food was yummy drinks were good. Abby’s service though? Subpar. Maybe don’t tell people to use your name in their review if you’re going to treat them horribly.

Probably my last trip to Applebees. The carpet was sticky and our table was dirty. Still thought I would give it a chance. We waited 1 hour for our food. I did use the bathroom, 2 of the three stalls were filthy. My feet were sticking to the floor in the bathroom too. The food was not worth the $50 that was spent. The waitress Jennifer never came back by us at all.

Quite literally the worst restaurant in the Wausau area. Whomever decided to let the man named Aaron manage should be fired with him. I have never in my life been spoken to with such contempt and condescension from a manager much less someone in disgustingly dirty clothes and terrible breath. Not happy with our visit. When we got there around 11, it was not too busy. However, within the hour it got pretty busy. Appetizers took about 20 min to get to us and they were delicious. Only good thing about our meal. Took about another 25 min to get the entrees and they were horrible. Mine made me physically sick to my stomach. Once we finished, we sat here for about 45 min waiting for someone to get us our check, dessert, and drinks. No one refilled our drinks the entire time we were here and it was as if we did not exist here. No one even checked to see if everything was okay and good. Will not be coming back.

We went in for dinner on a friday night, right away they seated the 5 of us in a spot with not enough seats. Then we only had 2 sets of utinsils, and they got the order wrong. The hot buffalo sauce was overly salty and I got boneless wings instead of bone in wings, no biggy I ate it anyways. We have visted many times and the service and food have steadly declined.

My visit this evening was as a pickup. The food was excellent as always but my visit tonight was less than what it normally is because of some remarks and comments made by the bartender. I'm not sure if the other bar patrons were friends of his but he was engaged in a conversation with disparaging, rude, racial and derogatory language about customers who had already left he and the other bar patrons have a crude and cruel sense of humor. I sincerely hope that management seize this and is able to address the issue as I'm sure that not all the staff speak the same way. Or at least I hope not. I will come again however my next visit will be guarded and should the same thing happen again then I will not continue to be a patron. That is a decision that weighs heavy on my heart because I love coming to Applebee's.

Everything here was so great! My waitress, Jenn G, was a super happy, friendly, helpful, positive energy kind of person. All the other staff I encountered or observed were also happy and friendly and cheerful. It says so much about a restaurant when the people who work there are happy.
I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and it was super scrumptious. Very tender and juicy. And there was a really good amount of cheese and sauteed mushrooms and onions on it. Nothing skimpy about it.
My belly feels so good now, with that delightful burger in it. I will definitely come back any time I am in Wausau, and I recommend this Applebee's to anyone who is hungry and appreciates happy servers and delicious burgers and a really solid value for the dollar.

Selected chain restaurant based on consistency of menu items. Ordered 2 Oriental Chicken salads from app and used Carside ToGo for pick up. Food ready on time. Took it to our VRBO and found that the salad was dry; zero dressing. Much of the lettuce pieces were very brown. Reported this to restaurant but they claim unable to refund card and offered dining credit for less than we spent. We live 5 hours away and came to Wausau for a specific event. Not planning to return.

Pretzel app was delicious and hubby's entree was good.
My steak portion was overdone which I can deal with but the taste and texture of the meat was just off. And my potatoes were cold.
Brittany did what she could to make it right!
After watching and listening to others it looks like they have an awesome group in the front of the house but the kitchen is dropping the ball( we weren't the only table who had food issues!)

I walked in was greeted with a warm smile by the lovely server gabby. I then met the friendly Manager marcus, who guided me to the best spot at the bar. There I met Eric who gave me a warm smile and struck up a great conversation about our common interests in rock and roll. I ordered a sweet and creamy oreo shake which amazed my taste buds! Paired with the brew pub pretzels with cheese dip and let me tell you it was the softest pretzel I've very bitten into, alongside the sweet and savory cheese deep was absolutely delicious 😋. I also ordered the famous whiskey bacon bourbon burger, with perfectly melted Swiss cheese under the warm toasted bun and the pink burger cooked exactly as ordered. Warmest and most inviting atmosphere you could ask for, will recommend to friends and family!
