Came in after nine to take advantage of the half priced appetizers, Decided to go with the Parmesan shrimp topped steak with garlic, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The presentation of the plate wasn’t the greatest I’ve ever seen, but the taste made up for it. The steak was cooked perfectly. I had ordered it medium rare, and the seasoned broccoli was very tender, and the garlic mashed potatoes were garlic mashed potatoes, nothing real special there, I sat at the bar, because I was by myself . My server was friendly and helpful. It was overall a good experience and I would come back again.

Waitresses seem to be not the friendliest and will get frustrated with you if you ask for anything else after they bring you your food. Overheard them also talking about how much they hate it there and wanna quit their job. Asked for napkins and mustard and they kept saying that under their breath as they were walking away. Also scoffed right in front of us when we asked for an extra water. Food is always good here although portions are smaller now. Menu is pricey for the portion sizes. Visited on 04/30/2024 and the food was very excellent. We had a new waitress, and she was very attentive and kept apologizing because it took so long to get our food (which I knew was not her fault). She said the kitchen was backed up but at the time there were only 10 tables occupied and not large groups so not sure what happened after we left, and it was getting busier. My biggest problem was we were there for happy hour, so I had a drink, and my partner does not drink so he had a glass of soda. When the bill came his soda was over 3.00 which is ridiculous. We go to a lot of establishments and have never paid that much for one glass of soda. I told him too bad you do not drink because you could have had a glass of beer for 4.00.

Arrived around 5:45, not too busy, and sat immediately. Drink and food orders were taken at the same time. Drinks came out almost immediately, but food was about an hour wait. At least three tables were seated after us and received food well before us. One such table had paid their bill and were in the process of leaving when our food arrived. One of our party had to leave before her food and did manage to get it packaged to-go. The other two entrées were still a few minutes longer. We were now in a rush to eat as we had a function to attend. I had ordered the chicken quesadilla salad, yet it came without the cheese quesadilla the menu states. We did not encounter a manager, but the server stated that the manager had removed the to-go entree, but that was it as far as manager interaction. Very disappointing visit, overall.

I believe this is one of the better Applebee's around! I've been here many times and have really never had any real trouble. Sometimes, the service is a little off and serving staff isn't always attentive. However, it's a chain restaurant and it goes with the territory. I've never had bad food here. I usually order the Parmesan steak and shrimp, medium rare and typically it’s pretty good, but Applebee seems to have gone downhill in Last couple years I ordered Parmesan steak and shrimp for Valentine’s Day and my steak was almost 3/4 artery. It was way too tough to eat I even tried two different steak knives at home and wasn’t able to cut through it even having it cooked medium rare besides, the fact that I just kept pulling out long strands of artery was not impressed at all. I just need to say that I frequent Applebee's in Superior a lot, but last night's experience was exceptional. I was with 3 others and we all ordered the endless special. Our waitress, Makayla, was amazing! She had a great sense of humor and was also very efficient. I've had good service there before, but this was
above and beyond.
Makayla definitely is an asset to your restaurant and deserves the recognition. It sure makes a difference when you have a great waitress! Oh, and the wings, ribs, and fries did not disappoint! We will definitely be back soon!

We were seated and given are menus to have some time to think and when we got more time she never came back for a while. Food, however, is what we came for. I've always said you can tell a good restaurant by its burgers and fries. Well, this one failed. The burgers were literally soaked in grease, the meat and vegs were good but the bun was absolutely dripping, gross! The fries seemed to be more salt than potato, no exaggeration here. I mean, there's salt on the table, so why? Couldn't eat the fries or the bun. Drank all my coffee before I was done eating.

I often order takeout from this Applebees on UberEats and they just... cannot ever get my order right. The past five times I've ordered from this location, my order was wrong FOUR out of five times. They usually don't give the driver the drink I ordered, and this time they just gave me the completely wrong sides with my food altogether. There's a complete lack of quality control and it's getting increasingly frustrating.

I don't necessarily blame the employees because they're probably underpaid and overworked and believe me, I get that, I really do, but this big of a margin of error is just unacceptable. Hire more people so your employees can take the time to make sure an order is actually correct before blindly sending it away with the driver. Take an extra two seconds to see if a drink goes with the order. Please, do better. This level of carelessness is embarrassing.

At the end of the day it's just food and if this was something that happened once or twice I wouldn't really care, but when almost every order turns out wrong in some way, something has to change.

If you like to order takeout, be very careful when ordering from this location and double check your order when you receive it.

We have never sat at the raised booth/ stool tables. I find I didn't like them. I'm 5'4" with knee & feet issues. I feel there should be a short step other than the edge to help get on the bench. And once there its was either dangle or use the edge. Also, all of the interactions with staff were great except for being informed about the promotions, finding out the next morning that we should have gotten a free ticket to the new Harrison Ford movie by going over $30 was a bummer. If only the food was as good as the service.
Ordered the 12oz ribeye, medium rare, with steamed broccoli and garlicky green beans.
The good: server was friendly and kept my soda glass full. She hit all the marks on service side of things.
The bad: the veggie sides were lukewarm and overcooked. No crunch left. Zero. And a lot of the flavor departed with the last of the crunch.
The ugly: The steak was terrible. Thinnest, widest ribeye I’ve ever seen. I’m not a butcher but I’ve eaten a lot of ribeye steaks and I’d swear this wasn’t one. Too wide and lean. Cooked medium rare as ordered but at too low a heat so there’s no sear and therefore lacks flavor. Hash marks probably from a ridged grill and only superficial. Results in a warm steak that’s tough and chewy and what should be crispy delicious fat around the edges is just warm raw fat, inedible, and hard to cut away from the meat even with the supplied steak knife.
For $24.99, I expected much better.
