When you have a limited amount of time, like a 30 minute lunch break, this is not the place to go. Waitress was told I was ready to order. 10 minutes later she came and took my order. Another 5-10 minutes of socializing she finally put my order in. Then she had the nerve to get pissy with me when I asked to have it to go..... not enough time to dine in now. While eating while driving I found that my order was wrong. Ordered a gyros with sauce only, I received a gyros with 4 pieces of meat piled with everything. One restaurant I'll never go to again.

Love stopping here for breakfast at anytime of the day. The portions are huge for the price you are paying. The owner is always out on the floor making sure everything is excellent. If you have coffee your cup is never empty with the wait staff always keeping your cup full. If you're ever in the Chippewa Falls area stop in and see John and his staff for some great food.

I was honestly very upset I had chicken and dumpling soup and the grilled chicken sandwich was the special. The chicken and dumpling was very cold not even warm, it had a bright yellow color to it indicating it's been sitting out for a while. My chicken sandwich well look in the picture above that thing was thinner than my piece of lettuce. However the waitress was a sweetheart

My wife and I had a pretty disappointing experience yesterday at AFR. Several aspects of the evening were not acceptable, putting things as gently as I can.

First off was the lack of cleanliness. Tables had been cleaned, but definitely not much else. Lots of dust and dozens of fly corpses on the window sills. Didn't do much to set the mood.

We had eaten here a couple months ago, and things had really improved over their initial inconsistency. However, the food was very inconsistent this time. Good soup, chicken and dumplings, heavy on the dumplings. Good breaded pork chop, but not hot. Stale potatoes, and mixed veggies overcooked into the consistency of baby food. Tacos were on special all you can eat. They were ok, quality soft corn tortillas, fresh veg, but there was no taco seasoning used. Luckily there was tobasco available. Hot tea water came properly hot the first time, barely warm the second. Like it had been taken from the sink tap at 120 degrees. This doesn't make hot tea.

Service was prompt, but clueless. No idea what comes with anything. No idea what comes on a taco. No idea that burgers come with fries. Forgot the soup initially because the computer is set up wrong, and she didn't know it had to come with soup or salad. Didn't know the taco special was all you can eat. She was also not trained on any sort of customer service, it seemed. No empathy, or too confused for empathy. Likely not her fault she was thrown into the fire. Seemed short staffed.

There were a few silver linings. It was inexpensive for what it was. Portions are of decent size, but of very inconsistent quality. Tables and floor were mostly clean. Lots of empty seating. But for us there were too many glaring problems, and it wasn't the first time it's happened here. We won't be back.

I wish I would of tryed this Restaurant out earlier during my 5 day visit to Arcadia! The food was great and so was our service from the waitresses ! Don't let the bland look from the outside fool you . I am a southern boy and have been raised on good home cooking all my life and I give this place a must visit review ! Also if your staying at the draft horse inn hotel , you get a discount ! Please don't waste your money at McDonald's , where the food is instant garbage and eat something worth your money!
