We stopped om this past weekend thinking we'd found a fun spot for lunch for our group of 6. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there.
We were shocked to see the prices, $12 for a small bowl of guacamole and around $15 for a bowl of queso. I wish I we'd asked for a menu before they brought us chips, because we definitely made a different decision. Lesson learned.
On top of the steep prices, the food just didn't deliver. It was average at best, and they weren't serving any alcohol or fountain soda. The only drink options for the boys were bottled soda. $$$
We all genuinely love mexican food, but this place was a letdown. The final bill came to $187 for six people, and we left feeling disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're okay with overpriced, underwhelming food in a trendy looking spot. You know it's crazy high when the kids all gasped when they saw the quesadilla price!

Food was absolutely overpriced. I paid 56 dollars for a “carne asada” which was 30$ and a side taco and a 2$ can soda. Server also did not come to check up on us as a table of 7 which i do understand as she was busy with other tables but we were all in the same section and we would have to flag her down or someone constantly. Nuestra experiencia el día de hoy 7/12/2025 fue ridículamente horrible.
El servicio pésimo, esperamos más de una hora y media en que nos trajeran la comida.
Tres familias llegaron después de nosotros y a ellos le salió las órdenes primero tomando en cuenta que nuestras ordenes eran simples.
Además no trajeron las órdenes con los extra sides que pedimos y pretendían cobrarlos.
Supuestamente nos iban a dar un descuento y no fue así porque terminamos pagando lo mismo.
Un detalle que observó mi familia es que los que atendieron primero eran familias Mexicanas y nosotros somos Puertorriqueños.

When we got there, it was barely empty. When we were seated, we wanted to order alcoholic beverages. The waiter informed us their alcohol license expired so we can’t order alcoholic drinks. Very disappointed. It would have been more appropriate for them to inform us when we arrived. Because there are 8 of us, they charged $30 service charge which they never informed us at the beginning until we saw the receipt. A sign at the hostess stand should have let customers know about the alcoholic license expiration and the service charge so we can decide to stay or go somewhere else. Food was good although. We will not be back.

Food was freezing and it looked days old. We had to get up and look for someone to get us cutlery after 15 minutes of waiting, even though there were only two other tables. The server argued with me about what I ordered only to later tell me when I asked for the check that I was actually right, but still no apology.

Gross, rude, and absolute waste of 80$.

Only plus side was the chips and salsa were fresh and the music playing was great. Other than that it was such a disappointment and it explained why on a hot Tuesday summer afternoon the entire two floor restaurant was mostly empty.

Stopped by this Mexican spot and honestly, the food was decent — nothing crazy, but solid. What really stood out though was the amazing service. Andy took care of us and did an awesome job. Super friendly, checked in just the right amount, and gave us a great michelada recommendation (definitely try one if you go).

We also tried the new molcajetes — really tasty and filling, definitely a good pick off the menu.

Even though the food was good, it was the service that made the experience. That kind of attention and attitude makes you wanna come back.

I have been coming to this establishment since fall of 2024. Surprised as another stated that this establishment only had a 3.7 rating?!
But finally I have time to write a review and post a few pictures.

I can’t say enough good about this place. The food is incredible. The staff does a great job here.
The inside is always clean and welcoming.

The food comes up fast fresh and hot. They have a nice little bar area if you just want to have a margarita and have some chips and salsa. There is plenty of room for seating and they can handle large groups of people efficiently. The other night I saw a part of 13 come in and they were attended to right away.

I have had their burritos and they are amazing. They also are huge! Very good.

Chips and salsa are always good. Honestly I seldom get the chips and salsa because I want to save room for the food I ordered!

If you ever come to the Wisconsin Dells area…they are located right on the main road
Coming into the Dells, or as you are leaving. The establishment is right next to BMO bank which is on the corner. There is limited parking in the front on the street. But there is parking also on the side streets on either end of the block and there are is parking directly across the street.

There are times they will have live music and dancing. They get in some very talented groups of musicians.

The good is absolutely fantastic.

We came in and it was empty. I will say the host was friendly and we got our table. Our server was polite and friendly as well. I think the host was depressed since he kept playing depressed music.
However... now I understand the ratings and the food was not the best.
Quesabirrias with consome. The consome was super salty. It's like you boiled water with salt and food color.
The Carne asada - the fried beans they were hard, dry and like sandy taste. Not to mentioned the carne no flavor, just burned and hard. The rice no flavor and it was like pudding. I know the waiter noticed we didn't ate the food and asked for our honest opinion.
Bartender tastes the drinks in his hand and continues to finish the drink. Very unsanitary. Plus he took 25 minutes to make a simple margarita. Was it worth spending $144? Not at all.

I would check your receipt before paying, we had a service fee of $30 & a credit card fee of almost $8.00. What if we weren’t going to pay with a credit card? our waitress explained about the service fee and did resolve our issue but if you aren’t paying attention you will pay some outrages fees

Over all our waitress was good, the food was also good. My parents ordered a carne asada dinner the meat was missing some seasoning, i order the langostinos dinner & the flavor was very good! I know for sure this is a place that will be last on my list whenever to i visit Wisconsin

Come friday nights for live group play good music to dance to. There food was really good I had 2 of tacos alpastor with cilantro and grilled onion with extra pineapple. And 1 taco asador we oder 2 tequila sunrise. Had an amazing night 🌙 great way to end the night with the live music.

Asador is one of the worst restaurants I've ever eaten at. The service was very slow and very inattentive. Food was very slow coming out, and then it wasn't right when it did come out. Told the server of the issue, and he just said sorry. Didn't offer to fix the issues. They brought out a very small complimentary order chips and salsa. Such a great place with great music and AMAZING FOOD! We will definitely be coming back! We visited Wisconsin to celebrate our son’s 5th birthday and noticed the restaurant as we drove. Instantly made us crave some Mexican food! Restaurant is beautiful, with so much color! Our waiter Benito made us feel so welcomed, and was very polite. I highly recommend this place for the food and atmosphere. Atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. Benito provided awesome prompt and attentive service. Food was very good! Guacamole is delicious and chunky. Al pastor tacos were AMAZING! I ordered the tacos Mexican style and the hand rolled tortillas were the best I have ever tasted. Cons: service was incredibly disappointing. We were seated right away, then promptly forgotten about for upwards of 30 minutes. I eventually got up from the table to retrieve a waiter to take our order. They brought us chips and salsa, which were okay. The food took 45 mins and when it arrived it did not match our orders. They “ran out” of cilantro AND onions by midday so the tacos were small piles of meat on tortillas. They put the entirely wrong meat in the burrito and failed to heed our dietary preferences.

TL;DR: service was bad, food was okay but not what we ordered. Not recommended for patrons with any kind of time restraint or dietary restrictions.

My wife and I went in about a week ago not really sure what to expect out of the place. If you like fish, I imagine this place is really good! For us none fish eaters, I felt like my options were really limited.

The salsa that we got with our chips was so watered down we had a hard time getting anything more on our chips than red water. We both got the Carne Asada tacos and those saved everything. They were maybe some of the best street tacos I have ever had... and maybe some of the most expensive I've ever had.

We're from California, so we're used to excellent mexican food. Since moving to Wisconsin in 2022, we have not found decent "authentic" mexican food. We came here today while vacationing, and I was a bit taken back at first. The food is a little pricey, but we got a beer, pina colada, al pastor burrito, and 2 al pastor tacos (kids got chicken nuggets and fries of course). The Al Pastor was literally the best I have EVER had. It had excellent flavor and seasoning. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. I even had a bite of my 4-year-old's chicken nuggets, which tasted delicious and fresh as well - not freezer burned like 90% of restaurants we go to. I told my husband I want to make the 2 hour drive to come back just for the food!

I came here with the family while we were in the area for a short weekend visit. I was a little disappointed to find out right away they don't have a liquor license - so no margarita. Besides that, salsa for the chips was good; not great, but perfectly tasty. Call me picky and PC, but I will never understand a restaurant in 2019 using styrofoam. This place uses it for the cups and for its leftover containers. Why? The tacos al pastor and pollo taco that I had were excellent, but the limited availability of vegetarian options were tough to navigate for some of my family. Also, the menu is overwhelming and not very well organized. The Dells is not a region known for its haute cuisine. I get that. However, given that the restaurant appears to be run by a Mexican family, this is a mediocre choice. Also, the service. If you are in a hurry, I would not recommend this place - taking our order took a while; also, it took 20 minutes to get the check and several more to get the slip to sign.

I came here with my parents and everything was pretty good. My tacos were delicious and our chips and salsa were pretty good too. But the rice was a bit plain, but we will definitely come back on our next vacation.

Went there in july. None of the employees seemed to know what they were doing, they brought each food item one at a time, about 5-10 minutes in between each plate.. And they came cold. They also told us that they had a avocado shortage, and that's why they couldn't give us guacamole. But then proceeded to bring us out a dish that had avocado garnish.. I'm sure that was a lie and they just didn't want to make any guac. Very lazy service, and our ceviche looked pretty raw as well, couldn't eat it. This place was very good and authentic when they first opened, and they have just turned into another tourist trap, pretty sad.

Esta es la segunda vez que voy con mi familia, la primera nos toco un mesero que nos atendió pésimo, nosotros tuvimos que pedirle que nos trajera chips y salsa. Se tardaba horas en atendernos. Lo único que nos gusto esa vez fue la parrillada para dos personas con extra carne. Estaba muy rica y si traía bastante carne. Por eso regresamos esta vez y resulta que la pedimos igual y ahora no traía casi carne esta vez no valió la pena el cobro de $50 por la parrillada. Si no es el servicio, es la comida. No vale la pena.

Ok place to eat if you are vacationing in the dells. Was a tad bit pricey if you ask me, but the portions are not bad at all. My biggest complaint was probably the $14 mechelada. Beers were a little pricey too.. But other than that, definitely not a bad place to eat. Would definitely recommend.
