Food is…okay…at best. In my opinion overpriced for bar food.
I hardly ever leave reviews but this was just straight up bad.
When we told the staff that some of the games were broken they didn’t seem to care.
All in all $120 that I feel was stolen from me

Bartenders were happy to help any way they could: be it drinks or specific questions about what kind of boards they used for axe throwing targets. Wicked cool arcade in the basement with plenty of working retro games seldom found elsewhere. Will definitely be back on our next trip.

We had a wonderful time at Asgard Axe! First of all the place has a really cool vibe to it....everything from the decor to their logo to the way the targets are set up to their staff! I'm so happy we picked it for our first Axe throwing experience. Our coach Tom was phenomenal and really passionate about his work. Overall I would highly recommend Asgard Axe!

was in town for a quick weekend trip and we needed a chill place to drink and grab some dinner. with a party of 6 on a saturday night there were plenty of tables open. the folks there were all very friendly and gave great service. drinks were very affordable and delicious. a casual bar with some great mixed drinks on the menu.

they unfortunately had limited food menu options so there wasn’t much to pick from except for pizza and a few sides. we got two pizzas to share, an order of stuffed mushrooms, the cheese curd roulette, and a bunch of drinks. the pizzas and mushrooms were good but good god the cheese curds were phenomenal. we drove in from out of state and i’m so jealous of wisconsin. even the worst cheese curds in WI knocks out any cheese curds ive had in chicago lolol (is that a hot take oops). the roulette was so good we got another order of just the classic curds.

they have a really cool arcade in the basement filled with old school games. the game card is purchased by the hour which i loved— i hate having to buy points/tokens. you pick how many hours to play and get to swipe unlimited during the entire time slot. they’re open late and a fun place to end the night. next time we’re in town we’ll have to try the axe throwing!!

Came upon this place while shopping in downtown Dells and looking for some time to kill before zip lining. It’s a cool vibe, but there seems to be confusion among the workers. The sign outside says kids play free with a paying adult and when we asked we were told by one worker that deal didn’t exist. We asked another worker who said it did but we had to ask about it (which we already had done before paying). It was only $20 bucks, but it would have been nice to either save that money or have another person who could have played.

If you are looking for axe throwing only, this is the place. If you are looking to fill your belly or have food, prob not the best choice. The cheese curds were fine, but the portions were too little. The sliders are just sad, with a tiny piece of meet between the buns. The fries taste like they have been refried several times, all crunch and oil. The drinks, I don’t know, not up my alley, they taste like alcohol with food coloring. And they ain’t cheap I’ll tell you that.

TL:DR; drink and eat before coming. Would only recommend axe throwing.

I'm from NYC so I have some strong opinions about pizza.

This pizza was delicious. Not only did it look like the kind of awe-inspiring slices you see made only for commercials, it TASTED amazing. We ordered the thin crust Thor's Deluxe and even my picky 3-year old was asking for more. The cheese curds were also excellent and the variety of flavors was a nice touch. My husband got 30 minutes of unlimited axe throwing and at the end of it was nailing the bullseye regularly thanks to the guidance of the instructor. I wish we had time to visit the arcade downstairs but our vacation time was coming to a close. We will definitely be back though!

Every. Time. We. Come. Here. All of the workers (except the people who are showing us how to play the axe games) are rude and money hungry. Came here a few years ago, every bartender upstairs and downstairs is rude and barely wants to serve drinks. No body is ever in the arcade area to help. And if we were to ask for help in the arcade area we get an attitude. Yesterday we went and these bartenders were rude and charge us DOUBLE for nothing. They said that we ordered 48 drinks . Impossible because there was only 5 of us and it’s definitely impossible to drink 48 drinks in ONE hour ! We’re just confused as to why everytime we come, everybody is so rude.

Tom happily showed us newbies proper and safe axe throwing techniques and ettiquite. We only reserved a 30 minute window to try it out and quickly found we could have done an hour with just the two of us. Next time we will throw for more time and bundle with their Underworld Arcade that has a great variety of old-school and new-school machines.

Great place me and my wife have went here 2 years in a row for are Anniversary and no lady's it wasn't my idea my wife had fun there they have a lighter axe with 3 points if the standard one is to heavy... staff is all Informatible as far instructions best practices and safest way to have fun doing when the rules are followed. Day trip to the Dells. Always heard about this place decided to stop in. Braden, the bar tender, axe coach, cook, and busser, was absolutely fantastic. Went on a Saturday early evening, $35 per person for 1 hour or $30 for 30 min. No wait time. A bit pricey but we had alot of fun. Beers and cocktails run for about $7-10 depend on what you get. It is really hot on the side, not alot of ventilation. But we loved it and would come back.

While visiting the Dells for a few days, my wife and I were able to leave the kids with Grandma and have a date night. However, there was not much to do on a Tuesday night and we wanted to do more than just sit in a bar. Saw a bathroom ad for Asgard while getting dinner at Monk's around the corner and decided to check it out. We ended up having a great time! Neither of us had thrown axes before but Braeden was a great coach and went out of his way to show us the ropes, let us try different throwing items, and kept the beers coming. Had so much fun we even bought some shirts. Overall great time listening to metal on the jukebox and flinging axes and knives. Checked out the arcade on our way out and it looked really fun, but we needed to get going. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the Dells!

Went here for the arcade was 25.00 for thewhole day. However they don't have many games. I also tried one of their infused drinks and it was terrible. We did not have a reservation. However, I feel it would be beneficial to have one especially in season. We stopped in this rainy December day. We got there and signed a waiver, we got a short safety lesson and we’re off. We enjoyed ourselves so much we ended up extending our time. It took a few tries to get the hang of it, but we loved it.

I have gone multiple times and love everyone that works but Hannah and Marissa are 2 of my all time favorites! They are super good at making sure you have what you need and great ladies to chat with!

People like this, who sat at the restaurant a table from me and lie sicken me! You sat 5 minutes, all of you ate dinner, and spent the same amount of time here I did. The staff was amazingly kind and BOTH workers gave your table plenty of attention. They asked if you wanted to do arcade OR axe throwing and you had your dinner in less then 20 minutes and left under an hour.

Would leave zero stars if I could. We sat down with our family of 8 and waited 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge our presence. When they did, they responded to us by saying, “We’re more of an axe throwing place and not a restaurant.” So we got the hint that they didn’t like the fact that we had our 2 littles with us and we left. Had a great time at the Keg next door. We spent $260 at The Keg. It was a 180 degree difference with the service and they had great drinks and atmosphere.

There’s a guy at the bar who was very rude. I asked him if they had any coupons and he responded with, “we’re on a budget aren’t we” in a very sarcastic tone. I returned his sarcasm with some of my own but then I apologized because I didn’t travel all the way to Wisconsin Dells to argue with some random rude guy. I continued with the gaming experience but stop in the beginning of it because that experience didn’t sit right with me. I asked another employee can I speak to a supervisor but one wasn’t available. I’ll be here for a while so I asked when will one be here but he was cagey about it. I had to ask multiple times in order to get a name. The point is, one bad employee could ruin a customer experience. I chose not to spend my 75$ dollars there and will try a different establishment.

The online reservation needs to be revamped. The air conditioning is another area that should be addressed. If it wasn't so hot in there we would have stayed for 2hrs of ax throwing.

We had such a great time last night! It was a first time for me throwing the axe 🪓 and I enjoyed so much. The person who was there was very kind and guided us how to throw the axe and let us try these “tiny axes” I don’t even know how are they called but was so much fun!!!

My girlfriend and I went to Asgard for axe throwing and to play some video games at their arcade. I would recommend this place. I absolutely loved the Nordic theme of this place. The staff were friendly and pleasant. There was a nice lady who showed us how to throw axes properly. The arcade area downstairs was neat and had lots of vintage games. Their beer was not bad either.
