So my wife and I stopped in today to get some vegetable egg rolls and the guy at the register was beyond rude. He had a nasty tone like he didn’t want to be there and after we placed our order he walked from the register to his cooler which right behind him and grabbed the egg rolls with his bare hands. Never washed his hands after handling the register and then he sat down behind the register and ate his dinner and still never washed his hands. Overall this experience was horrible and if you don’t want to get sick I suggest you don’t eat at this establishment.

If I can give zero stars I would. I’m guessing the old man is the owner his attitude sucks . He doesn’t greet you when you come in and when you ask a question he doesn’t responds. He throws the food on the counter and not putting it in your hand. How are they still in business with all these complaints against them. Please listen to the reviews that say how horrible the service is here!!! I have been here a handful of times and it was OK but the other day I simply was placing a lunch pick up order and the old man taking my order literally was screaming at me! My order was not big, and I’m not “slow” I am an able body person and his aggression and tone was not needed. I can’t imagine if I were an old or disabled person! I also work at the hospital and one of my coworkers order chicken and her chicken was RAW in the middle 🤢!!! Today i ordered lunch and the older man took my order , took the money and made change. Then the grose part he went straight to the refrigerator and took out raw unwrapped food and put it in the cooker with his bare hands. Listen to other reviews. The guy is really annoying and shady. He always tries to sell the most expensive dish. If you want the lunch combo, he will try to ring up the dinner that's way more $. Pay attention, because he hopes no one notices. He usually has some smart azz thing to say too. Other commenters aren't kidding. Not sure why they have him working the front, it's comically bad. I came on to look at the reviews, just to see if any others noticed the same and oh yeah, they did. We’ve been going here for years. HOWEVER the owner is as rude as all get out. He’s ALWAYS rude on the phone and not much better in person with the exception of tonight. My husband ran in to grab our order and the man wanted to be rude because he asked for an extra piece of plastic ware. “ONE CoMBO ONE PIECE” he snapped at my husband. Are you freakin kidding me?!?!?! Then my husband said he forgot to sign his credit card receipt and the man snapped at him and said “HERE SIGN IT!” as he threw it across the counter!!!! I pulled a soda out of the refrigerator after picking my lunch special. The owner stated that the pop would be .50 cents. I told him I'd right back, I was going to run out to my car to grab cash. When I came back with a dollar bill. He took my dollar and didn't give me back any change. I asked him for my change and he said the pop is a dollar. Okay, let's say I misheard him. The sign on the wall menu has a price of .75 cents with the lunch special. It's not about the money, it's about the principle; moreover it about the attitude I received when I asked for my change. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and picked Asian Taste, after reading the reviews I saw that most of the negative reviews were about the service and attitude of the workers. I understand that culturally they do have a difference in communicating with customers and thought we would give it a try. I can get by that but I cannot get past bad food. The food was awful, the worst Chinese or Asian food I’ve ever had and we eat Chinese all the time all over the country. I had Steamed Dumplings that were very doughy with thick wrappers that were way too thick and the pork inside was more like a bbq pork Shumai. I also had Egg Drop soup which was very bland. My wife had Hunan Chicken that was not very good, she had the lunch special that was very small and she still didn’t finish it. She also had the Sweet and Sour soup which she has every time we eat Chinese and she did not like it leaving most of it uneaten. If you like Chinese food go somewhere else as this place is awful.

It’s a shame this restaurant is going down hill as it is. This used to be one of our favorite places to have takeout from, and was my first meal out of the hospital after giving birth. At our most recent visit, I came inside to pick up our mobile order. I was absolutely disgusted which is why I am writing the review but once I got to the counter the person at the register was clipping their nails, with their nail clippings clearly there on the counter. Decided to try because it was something different and I was on that side of town. Placed a phone-in pick up order and they answered the phone rudely with a plain "hello". I wasn't even sure I called the correct number. Placed my pickup order and the guy said, "ok, 2 minutes, bye", and hangup. I picked up the food, gave him my credit card. He gave me my slip and just walked away. No "thank you", or anything, and I had also tipped 20% on my pickup. Food was decent, but as someone in the service industry that takes pride in my customer service skills, and works hard for my tips and repeat guests, I will not return again.

Very disappointed with my dinner from here tonight and the service we received via phone. We ordered through a third party service and needed to make a small change in the order (nothing major). When we called the man on the line, not sure who they were answered the phone and said “we started making your order already, what do you want?” In an extremely rude tone. I then got my food and the orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken were extremely over cooked and crusty. They tasted old. The crab Rangoon was also overcooked. The order also arrived extremely fast, which made me feel as though it was not cooked fresh. This place used to be our go to Chinese restaurant, but since they changed owners or staff, this place is the last place we will ever visit. Trust me, go to Chens Bistro instead.

One large dinner got their own large rice- vegetarian.
We had to split a large white rice between the other 3 dinners. I called to tell them we only received a large rice for the large dinner and no small rice for the other two dinners.

Been coming here for a long time, and every dish I've had here is solid, good Chinese food. I especially love their dumplings, egg fo young, and sesame chicken. I have been coming here for years. They've updated inside. Very clean. Love their sezuahn chicken and teriyaki dishes. My favorite is their wonderful hot &sour soup, better than P.F. Changs. Don't misunderstand their English speaking skills or understanding English as being rude. They're really Chinese and the guys there are great if you're patient. I use to order from here all the time. My usual is #L33 (Orange Chicken) with Lo Mein noodles. Its been over 1 year since I last ordered from here because my job location changed but now that I am back in the area, so I thought to myself how about Asian Taste for lunch!

Today I ordered my usual but I am very disappointed! The so called "chicken" was more like chunks of fried batter with tiny pieces of chicken inside some of them. I spent half my lunch time biting into the batter chunks looking for the chicken and discarding the rest of the batter. NOT at all the quality it was when I last had it.

This is my favorite place for egg rolls in town. We ordered last night for pick up and it was ready in the usual ten to twenty minutes. We loved the sweet and sour chicken and the white rice was fresh and hot. For several years, this has been our go-to spot for Asian food. Over the course of those years we have found each and every thing that we order to be of excellent quality and a great value.

The staff is very friendly and the food is prepped quickly.

My personal favorite is the General Tso Chicken, but we also normally order egg rolls and fried wontons. Both arrive piping hot and with a ton of sauce on the side. The flavors and textures of everything are top notch. I would hold this place up to any spot in Chicago.

I am counting the days until the dining room opens again once COVID subsides.

Great choice in Kenosha area!

I am new to the area so I haven’t had a chance to try the local Asian food options, but on Lunar New Year I was desperate for some Asian cuisine to get into the spirit, so gave this place a try!

I ordered a lunch special for carry out (no dine-in due to Covid right now anyway). Their online menu was well done and lunch specials easy to find, which I appreciated. And I did order by calling before I left my house, which was easy and painless.

Upon arrival, the restaurant is clean and they have set it up well for Covid precautions.

I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special with an egg roll. For less than $8, I got a great amount of food. It was piping hot and had a ton of fresh veggies and lots of chicken. I was really impressed with the quality of the food I received here. It was all very mild, which is OK with me. I added hot mustard which is my preferred spice for Asian food, but, if you like things spicy, you can request that when ordering. The egg roll was deliciously crispy and very good!!

Overall, the meal tasted great and will definitely try their other options in the future.

If you’re in the area and looking for some quick Asian cuisine, give this place a try!

Terrible service and bad food. We placed an order for delivery and food was missing from the order. Staff were extremely rude and argued over egg rolls instead of making order right. I ended up throwing half my lunch away because it was so rubbery and chewy (General Tso's chicken) and one member or our order didn't get to eat lunch. When I made the owner aware we would not order again he hung up on me!
Next time we will order from China House... better food and better service!

Inside tip--- the sweet and sour chicken is completely gluten free (breading made with potato starch) and dairy free. My kids love to get it with sauce on the side and eat it like chicken nuggets. I believe they use shared fryers though, so be careful if celiac.
