Food was really good.
We ordered a chicken Alfredo pizza and chicken parmesan with pasta dinner dish.
The place was really crowded which we kind of expected because every time we drive pass this place the parking lot is packed, plus it was the weekend.
The service was a little on the slow side, maybe due to it being busy and/or short staffed, not 100% sure what the reason may have been.
The staff was friendly.
The layout of the restaurant is very tight, so it kind of felt like everyone was on top of each other.
We would like to visit here again, maybe when it's not so busy and crowded.

Our waitress didn’t write our order down (always troublesome) and when the meal came, one dish was incorrect. After more than 20 minutes waiting for the correct dish, we told the waitress we would take the meal we were waiting for to go and didn’t expect to pay for it because the other people already finished their meals. Several minutes later, she brought the food with no apology. The manager never came to our table to apologize or discuss. They don’t need our business so I recommend no one else goes there. We confronted the manager and he had no remorse or friendly engagement with us.

When we walked into the restaurant, we stood there for a moment, there were a few people at the bar, but the main dining area had several open tables. No one greeted us. I had to walk up to the bar and ask where we should go to be seated.

Instead of a friendly welcome, the bartender simply asked, “What do you need?” I told him we were looking for a place to sit, and he pointed us toward the hostess stand. When we approached, there was a man who was not uniform (who appeared to be a manager) standing with a group of women.
The man greeted us with a sharp, unfriendly “hi”, no smile and the women looked at us as if we were unwelcome. One waitress elbowed another to quickly grab menus. She then looked at the man, who signaled toward the back. She seated us in the back of the restaurant.

Back there, we noticed only one other Black family and two women seated. No one else was ever seated in that section during our entire visit. When we left, we walked through the front again and noticed the area was now full, every table taken and all of the customers appeared to be white.
The contrast in how we were treated and where we were seated left us feeling very uncomfortable. It gave the impression that this restaurant is not welcoming to Black patrons, people of color, or members of the LGBTQ community.

The one positive note was that our waitress was pleasant and provided good service. However, the overall atmosphere was unwelcoming, and we will not be returning.

Lovely place with amazing atmosphere and authentic feel. It stopped there for me. Had fish and it was super plain and had little flavor or seasoning. Wife had the pork and it was the same story, I don’t think they put anything on it when they cook it. They are excellent!! We went on a Saturday afternoon, no real busy then. Food was excellent, had a shrimp cocktail for appetizer, perfect for 2 people, had the works pizza. After years of regularly going to Bluemound Inn… Even with a friend who visits once a year from Arizona, who used to live here… We went last week and the pizza was subpar, which was Shocking.. usually excellent it was sparse on toppings, but the worst came when we ordered tiramisu which came essentially drenched in chocolate, super sweet sauce we could not even eat it. I am very sorry if it’s beginning to go downhill and hoping this is a one time off event, but my friend no longer wants to go there

I haven't been to Ballesteries on Bluemound since it was the Bluemound Inn. Excellent restaurant at the time as well. Recently my husband and I started going to the Bluemound one. The first time was about a year ago. My one brother was in town. The pizza is excellent. And I like the eggplant parmesan the appetizer as well. My husband and I went today March 5th. My husband had the salmon salad. I ordered the ravioli with short beef rib and meat sauce. The sauce was really different tasting. I did not like it. I ended up getting a chicken parmesan sandwich with chips. It was okay. The chicken itself was burnt. I will be back to the restaurant. I just have to be careful what I order. So far the pizza and beef tips are great. If anyone has any other good menu recommendations I would appreciate it. Thanks.

The staff was very attentive and met all my needs. The bartender Rory was knowledgeable about the drink menu and what pairs bestbwith the diffrent dishes. We've been here before. We returned because it was excellent. Based on our lunch on Wednesday, nothing has changed. Our server was excellent, our food was excellent & our experience was excellent. We live in Illinois, but get to Milwaukee every time my husband has an appointment with his cardiologist. We'll be back next week for dinner. FYI, their pizza is supposed to be outstanding, but we haven't tried it yet. We are working our way through their menu! If you love Italian & wine as we do, you need to go to Balistreri's!

Balistreri’s Bluemound Inn is a regular stop on our Saturday night supper club schedule. Their chicken marsala and chicken piccata are fantastic. Reasonably priced. Came here from a recommendation from my music professor a few years ago. Decided to have my birthday dinner here with my family and it was decent. Started off with drinks and those were good. Got a Negroni myself and It was good. We got bread for the table which came with butter and I'm assuming the tomato relish they mention in the menu a handful of times, it was fantastic, the only thing would be to have the bread warmed or slightly toasted as buttering it crushes it. We ordered calamari which was really good with the sauce it came with, top notch honestly. We got a pizza (everything but the kitchen sink) and it was pretty good. I ordered the pasta alla bolognese and It was just ok; something just didn't feel right.. 2 of the 4 dishes we ordered were rather bland so we added some salt and then the flavors started coming out and it was really good. The pasta with clams was probably the best dish, the only thing was that it was unfortunately missing the parsley that gets tossed and mixed in right before serving for a fantastic finish (our server Candy was able to get some for her so it kinda worked out).

Idk if I would come back honestly, the vibe was nice but I come mostly for the food; and that was slightly subpar for me. If I were to come back it would be for the clam pasta or a pizza.

Reservations were made weeks in advance for 12 PLUS a high chair. When we got there the tables were on top of each other and we had no high chair and no room for one. Then a man who I assume was a manger (he didn’t introduce himself) came over and loudly said “4 of you need to move to another table now because you’re causing a fire hazard”. He was completely rude and had zero customer service skills! They are the ones that set up the tables, not us. The food was just ok. This is my second time dining here. Both times, some of our dishes were excellent while others were mediocre. It may depend on the dish and also who's cooking it. Example the first time our octopus was excellent and tender. The second time it was tough and rubbery. This visit, my wife had the shrimp scampi and it almost had no flavor, however my chicken picatta was excellent . Again, it won't stop me from coming back, but my advice would be if you didn't like a dish to order a different one next time, you may like it better. Besides, everyone has different tastes/ favorites.
