My daughter was home from Japan so we went to Barker's for lunch! They never disappoint. The food was excellent! Service was top notch! I had the BBQ grilled chicken sandwich, my hubby had the pastrami rubber, my daughter had the Greek grilled chicken sandwich of course we all had their homemade fries! Everything was delicious, easily 10+ out of 10! Highly recommend you go there!

Food was terrible. Their cheesecurds were from frozen. It’s a restaurant… can’t you make them from scratch?

The steak was poorly cooked and looked sickly. The sides were disgusting, especially the one they served with the ribs.

This restaurant obviously relies on tourists who don’t know any better. Lots of better food in Hudson, within a stones throw of this cash trap. Avoid this place if you’re looking for a good meal.

Horrible service. We came through from out of town, first the server mixed up our order. Mind you we did have to get back on the road, and there was no sense of urgency until we complained. They did not take off anything off the bill for having to wait over an hour just for a half salad & a burger. Then when it finally came out, the fries were cold. They were good but cold. They need better training. But the manager should have taken some money off the bill. We took it off the server’s tip. We really didn’t want to do that but someone made a mistake. We were more upset because of the time & how long we had to wait for half of a salad. It’s unreasonable to have to wait an hour and a half for half of a salad. Then not taking off anything off the bill? TBH the salad wasn’t anything special, it was something you could make from home. Bread was stale.

Myself and my family have been enjoying Barker's for over 30 years! I have never had a meal, nor a visit, that wasn't above expectations. The food is always made exactly as my difficult self orders. The service has always been extremely pleasant.
At the start of Covid, we enjoyed our take-out meals just as much. Once we started going back inside, I felt comfortable enough with their precautions, to take my very high risk mother.

Ok, roll with me. ...mid-summer stroll in the garden, pick an absolutely perfectly ripe tomato still warm from the sun and pop it into your mouth, add some magical sun-dried tomato oil, a rare Ahi Tuna steak and fresh (toasted) sourdough...my GAWD, how delicious is this sandwich?!?
The Tuscan Grilled Tuna is an explosion of savory goodness in your mouth! This is now what I crave. Off the charts "Wow" factor!! My photo does not do it justice. Trust me, order it.

I door dashed wings, truffle fries, and cheesecake. The cheesecake was like $8 and it’s a little bit bigger than my bic lighter. The creole wings had absolutely zero flavor and tough. The truffle fries were soggy and not great overall. I understand door dashing fries is tricky so I’m not too surprised. But the creole wings and cheesecake were way below my expectation. Order cost before DoorDash was $60+ as well. Spicy wings were great tho. Did a level 4 spice and was perfect! Big let down :(
Update: they did contact me and issue a gift card to make amends! Barkers has always had the best wings, I’m sure it was a fluke! Will be back!

As always, excellent service. Love sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen staff. Garlic wings are great as is the fried fish. Love the burgers too. And the Nashville Hot Cauliflower is so good. Never seen anything like it anywhere else.
One request, if you haven’t already done it. The Impossible Burger used to come on a vegan bun and then didn’t. Any chance you can make that happen again?

Definitely a nice place in downtown Hudson to have a meal or some drinks. A few friends and I went there for lunch and sat in the sort of semi outdoor porch area in the back. It was quite nice. The food was terrific and the service was great! I am from the New York metro area and can be a bit of a food snob. But, I must say the reuben sandwich I had was as good as any. I gave only four stars for atmosphere just because, as nice as Barker's is, it really is just a bar / restaurant. I don't know that there's anything all that special about the atmosphere. Good food though. I'll definitely go back.

Food has always been great although pricier than it was a few years ago but I get it, but the 10% charge for takeout containers floors me. I'm already paying $18 for a burger and fries. You're going to take me another 1.80 for a piece of plastic that doesn't cost you more than 75 cents. Do people get charged for the dishes being cleaned if they done in? The Water cosst money? The chemicals costs money? The equipment costs money? The person cleaning the dishes costs money? Why would you do this? I love the food. The restaurant is great. But all I've been able to think about for days is the 10% takeout container fee.

We came all the way from Washington for some cheese curds. Barker's didn't disappoint!! Sat at the bar until our table was ready and met a friendly young man behind the bar. Very busy place but servers still had time to be friendly even to outa-towners. At our table we had a delicious couple of burgers and most of all for us, NO SOG. What happened here? Since I used to love this place, we gave it another chance. It was bad a couple of years ago, and not much better today. Had 10 wings and we split a grilled cheese that was disgusting. First the garlic wings, used to be so good and flavorful, not much seasoning on them (2nd try for these). The celery and carrots were great! The grilled cheese on brioche bread, tomato, bacon, was like an old sponge, soggy, thin and nothing in it. One piece of bacon, cheese, and (2) little slices of tomato. I'm not sure how I ate almost half of the sandwich, but I wish I had taken a picture. The 10 wings, grilled cheese sandwich and 2 soda's with tip was $48.00, which is a little extreme. I'm sorry Barkers, you were my go-to place for wings, but I won't be back.

I stopped in to pick up a to go order 11/12/23 & ordered a beer since i was early. The food was great but the sevice as even better. The young lady behind the bar (mgr?) welcomed me in to wait for my order like she knew me for years. I'm embarrassed I didn't ask her name. She was so outgoing, friendly & on top of the orders. Plus, she was bartending. When my order was ready, she packed it up and brought it right to me. That young lady knows customer service and should be recognized. This was my first visit to Barkers & it will not be my last. Impressive!!

Our 11 year old actually asked to go here, hadn't been here in over a year or so? But she wanted to go to the place where we could get popcorn...hard to say no to that. Got there a little after 5 on a Saturday, was worried about seating but got right in. Business ramped up shortly after though. Had cheese curds for an app that were good, and dinners were good all around.

Had the Philly cheesesteak, pastrami reuben, and our 11 year old had the fish and chips. The joys of adding additional adult meals to the bill instead of kid meals...but the fish was really tasty...I planned to finish it for her but felt bad eating her lunch for the next day, so I did not. 9 and 6 year old stuck to kids meals, chicken tenders and hot dog.

Biggest issue was the beer. I like to try new beers, I am not really a big beer drinker, don't have much for favorites, but I'll try new ones whenever I can. Our teenage waiter was not able to tell me what some of the more unique ones were like, but he tried pretty hard to get feedback from others on what they were...and he kept coming back with more of "they haven't tried it either"! I know beer usually just sells itself, but come on, I couldn't try everything and we were wasting valuable consumption time trying to determine which was sour vs fruity vs chocolatey notes! Let's get some tast testing going so we can describe some flavor profiles! Except for the teenager, best to draw a line somewhere. Other than that, it was a great dinner, and I managed to get 2 beers in but who's counting?

This place was a major disappointment. It took us 20 minutes to get a drink and an hour to get our appetizer. Dinner was very underwhleming. The tables around were extremely frustrated as well. In fact, there were several groups that had walked out and left. The staff all seemed miserable and like it was a nuisance to do their job. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

i was visiting your location and had a good view of the service area. One chef was pretty tall, ginger, heavier set, with spikey looking hair plugs, i think his name was Wayne. i personally watched him shoot 3 snot rockets onto the floor of the kitchen, the most disgusting thing ive ever witnessed in food service. when i told my server, they giggled and said "he just does whatever he wants".

Outstanding bar that doesn't use any gimmicks. Just good burgers/sandwiches, wings, salads, all done right. Best cheese curds in the area. They don't mess with any fruit reduction sauces to stand out - just well-made curds. Try the diablo chicken if you like a little heat.

Prices were high for the quality. I ordered fish, which was really good, but the fries were so salty, and the coleslaw was flavorless and at least 3+ days old! Love this burger and beer restaurant in historic downtown Hudson. The servers and bartenders are very nice and helpful. Parking in Hudson can be difficult depending on when you visit but walking around Hudson is part of the charm. I recommend their chicken sandwiches and basically anything else on their menu.
