My wife ordered the loaded wachos and it came with Chipotle mayo and we were skeptical about it on nachos but OMG it was an amazing combination.

It's always nice to drive out to Roberts Wisconsin and check out the barn board grill and saloon. Really great atmosphere super happy cheerful waitresses every time. They always have great food specials tonight was barbecued ribs and cod dinner with baked potato soup or salad. Really good deal. I had a couple of mango pina coladas from the special drink menu, $6. For dinner I had the half pound build your own hamburger, super good. I would recommend barn board grill and saloon if you're ever in the Roberts Wisconsin area. 🔥

Great place to "Treat" yourself. Sure, it's a sports bar...but the friendly and inviting atmosphere makes it so much more. Bring your entire family. It's kid friendly. Bar patrons are at ease and conversation with each other here, so you're bound to make friends! Many repeat customers. And you have to try their Turtle Cheese Cake! - Perhaps, the best I've ever had in looks and taste!!

This was the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten in my life! My wife’s French toast was raw, the bacon was old tasting and cold and the biscuits and gravy were slimy with no flavor, hash browns were also raw. With how little people were there your cooks need to do better! I was a short order cook for years and never put out food this bad!

We took our mom there for mother's day and I'm so glad that we did! We sat and ate outside on the patio. Our server was beyond helpful, polite and on top of things. I was an out of towner in an area that I don't know at all, meeting a friend for supper. I picked a place to go, but was told that it was not a good place, and the Barn Board was highly recommended as a much better place. So we went there instead.

Atmosphere: there really was none. There were really only 2 things I'll remember. First, we both prefer a booth over a table. But the booths had hard wooden benches, so we choose a table with padded chairs instead. Second, the place is fairly big, but both the men's and women's restrooms had just one toilet. Even though there were very few people there, there was a line.

Service: friendly, but slow. We started with water to drink. By the time the waitress came to get our food order my water was empty. We were glad we ordered water, because we were standing up to leave just as she finally came to take our order. Coming with the bill and to collect due the bill was just as slow. The food did come fast though - surprisingly fast actually.

Food: my order: boneless wings (Parmesan garlic) and cheese curds basket. Cheese curds were good, but really, how can you mess them up? Wings were warm at best, and not very flavorful - I didn't even remotely have garlic breath after. They weren't burnt, but somehow the breading was hard, took a real push to get a fork into them so I could do them into the weak blue cheese dressing - no evidence of blue cheese present. Friend had the Reuben and garlic fries - mostly because the up charge to change sides is far too high. The garlic fries were excellent - by far the best thing at our table. Nice and crispy, but again, a little light on the garlic. The marble eye of the sandwich was very good, and very nicely toasted. But the rest of the sandwich was very unremarkable. Nothing to make one day it was a bad sandwich, but nothing to make you say it was a good sandwich, either. The only thing really to say about it was that it was a nice sized sandwich with proper proportions of sandwich ingredients. Not a bad sandwich, but not a good sandwich. Just a sandwich.

Menu: the menu has an ok selection. But one of my pet peeves is when the menu doesn't include the price of soft drinks. This menu didn't even list soft drinks at all! The waitress could tell us they were Coke products, but she didn't know the cost. Thus we stuck to water.

Price: the prices would have been good for good food. They were only ok for the food we actually got.

All in all, given the recommendation that I had been given, I was very disappointed, and I wish we had gone to my first choice of restaurants.

Never even took our order. I came 20 miles out of my way to visit an old favorite and I can’t believe how terrible the service was. Didn’t even stay to eat.

I would like to add that when we sat down there were 4 tables in use including us, so it was not busy at all. Every new table that came in got served and were ignored.

The food is fantastic, the employees are nice and friendly, and I would recommend eating here if you have a chance. However, they recently switched to door dash and if you live in the area, do NOT order delivery. Sat for over two hours to get my food and it never came and now it's too late to order something else. When I called they said the food had been sitting there for an hour and a half and no one ever came to pick it up. Had to call door dash and sit on hold forever to try and get a refund. So, just go in and save yourself a headache.

I appreciated the gluten free menu, a whole selection just for celiacs!
Now, with that being said, the food was a bit mediocre. I enjoyed it for the pricepoint, though!
I will also say, I had a bad reaction a few hours after eating here. I’m not sure if it was something on my end or theirs- But I don’t want to count this restaurant out quite yet.
EDIT- The restaurant reached out to be and reviewed the security cameras, and we were able to identify that the staff took all the necessary precautions to avoid a cross contamination!! I absolutely adore how much they care about their customers!

Went in for Happy Hour yesterday at 3:30pm, had four beers, Ester gave me my tab of $16 (should have been $10), I asked about the happy hour pricing and she said that "you have to specify it before ordering". Say what, never ever heard of such a thing! It's all over the website and the plastic table placards, in 40 years I've never had to specify which price I wanted to pay for a happy hour drink including the other three recent times I was there (one in which she served me) and Alyssa never asked either, happy hour pricing is by default, everywhere... period. Anyway, when I told her that when she asked me what size I wanted the first order I DID reply "whatever the happy hour special is", she got snippy and I told her not to worry about it and paid the tab... because I won't be back.

I had the Friday night special 1/2rack of ribs. That was a mistake. They most . been boiled , they were water logged, to the point it was dripping water when I picked them up. My wife had the fish special. She did not finish the fish, she said they were bad. Our bake potatoes were steamed, not baked. I did not like writing this because it used to be excellent food here.

Food was great and so were the drinks, when you can get them. Bartender was busy planning a trip to, I think, Vegas with her friends. My drink sat empty for over 15 minutes.
