Fabulous place to stay and eat! Great staff, very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were very nice and right on the trails. This made for a perfect stay for our ATV group! The free bag of ice ready for you in the morning is a great extra! The only thing that would make it better for me is gluten-free options. But the food was very good as was agreed upon by our group of 20. We already made reservations for next year!

Y’all know by now, I’m a pinball freak. They currently have Stranger Things, found this bar using the Pinball Maps app. So we ventured out from Ashland to check it out. Their pizza was really good, I ordered the Post and my partner ordered the Chicken cordon bleu. Both were tasty. The bartender was funny, kind, and super friendly. Ok, back to pinball. We leveled the game as best we could because, again, imma pinball nut. The game is maintained so game play was smooth and switches/ramps/etc all were in good working order. This game is tricky! Don’t get lost in trying to defeat the demigorgon, it’s all smoke and mirrors. Stick with hitting the ramps and scoring is slow but steady. Lots of other arcade games there for everyone. Motorcycle arcade games, Big Buck, Bonus Hole, Cut 2 Win, pool, and the Northern Wisconsin favorites like pull tabs and video poker. Other customers at the bar were very friendly. Awesome spot for families, couples, travelers, old timers and anyone who appreciates a sweet, small town bar and grill.

Huge fan of the Trading Post. In an area where practically all restaurant options have off days and abbreviated hours, the family who owns it goes through great lengths to make sure it's open for breakfast daily and remains the last open option for food at night. We have even eaten here on Christmas and Thanksgiving when work didn't coincide with our ability to travel to family. Pizza, burgers and salads are awesome. Breakfast is solid and served fast. There is a game room in the back and a motel on sight which is also on the side of the local trail system.

I am so grateful we were able to spend some time here this past weekend when we were in Wisconsin. We got married and our whole wedding party stayed at the inn, and frequented the trading post for breakfast and drinks. Everyone was so so helpful, always checking in to make sure we had everything we need, and were very communicative throughout the process of booking and throughout the weekend. They handled all of our crazy with ease (including our constant and insane breakfast orders lol) and it was such a blast.

On Saturday post-wedding, our group ended our night at the bar, and I want Mike to know how lovely and kind it was that he stuck around for a while to make sure we were well taken care of. It truly rounded out the weekend and I’m so glad we had a chance to spend that time with our friends.

The trading post and Wilderness Inn are such a beloved place in Barnes and we can’t wait to return when we are back in town. It holds a special place for us now too. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!!!

This little honey pot I found while hanging with my friends in Wisconsin. I got a chance to meet the owner Nadia as she and her husband are very much a part of the day-to-day operations. The staff was very kind, patient, and helpful. The staff along with Nadia made sure my guests and I were always satisfied. I ordered the barbecue chicken pizza, and my friends ordered the Hawaiian pizza, and the cordon blue pizza. All of the pizzas were perfect, and the mixed drinks were as well. I think what I liked most about this establishment besides the wonderful food and service is the fact that they also have a game room in the back so after eating you can either playing pool or arcade games. This place is definitely a great find, and when the food and service are as good as they are here I wouldn't look to go anywhere else. Kudos to Nadia and Elliott for having a wonderful establishment and making me a believer that this is all I need and more in this town

We stopped for breakfast on our weekend getaway to Wisconsin. We had a long day on the Harley planned so we first enjoyed excellent breakfast drinks, tasty omelets and french toast. Even before our motorcyle break down the staff was very attentive to our needs and wants.

After finishing our meals, we planned to hit the road but found we had a problem with our bike, so we could not leave. We became “stranded, ” but the bartender made several phone calls to line us up with a repairman. He went far above and beyond any expectations. We will be sure to patronize the Trading Post any chance we can get in the future, and we hope you take our referral to do the same.

My husband had the Black and Blue Burger with cheese curds, and I had the Bear Burger (which had cream cheese and green olives) with onion rings. Over deer season, we stayed at the motel since our cabin was getting rebuilt. I wasn’t expecting much, since it’s in Barnes lol. But it completely exceeded my expectations. The beds were comfy, the room was clean, nice tv, mini fridge, and it’s walking distance from the bar. I also loved the cabiny feel that the room had. I would 100% recommend this motel to anyone who plans on staying in Barnes for a weekend.
Also, the bloody Mary’s at the bar are wonderful and the service is always great!

The owner was bar tending during our visit and she was an absolute delight! She gave us insights to the area was a great hostess. The men with us said the bathroom needed some deep cleaning, but the ladies bathroom was clean. We didn’t order any food, but one of the pizzas that came out looked delicious. I have always loved the House Special supreme pizza here! The menu and beer prices are extremely reasonable. Today we stopped here for lunch on our long ride home from putting the camper in the campground. Because we had a long ride ahead we decided to just get sandwiches instead of pizza. OMG, I love a good steak sandwich, and the possibilities in this small, lovely little bar, are amazing! They have a philly which is truly excellent. For those willing to take the risk to order a philly with cream cheese on it, this place does not disappoint. I never would have thought to do that but The Nadia is incredibly delicious!! The bun is clearly fresh and probably local. The chunks of steak are flavorful and tender. The onions and mushrooms perfectly sautéed. The kicker, the blend of cream cheese and cheddar cheese takes this sandwich to a whole new level! You absolutely must have the pizza and beer here, no doubt. Before or after the pizza, the Nadia!!!! Not kidding, that sandwich is impressive.
