The course was pretty solid, except for the course ranger. We called ahead and booked 2 tee times for 6, but were crammed with groups. We even let a few play ahead of us. We were then approached by the warden that we had to split up. Which is fine, it's busy. HOWEVER, the ranger approached my friends again on hole 8 after our group was split and cursed them out over driving on a rough with absolutely no prior warning as he was driving away. Absolutely childish and disrespectful behavior. There is plenty of other courses to pick from in the area, id recommend picking any place else.

DO NOT GO TO THIS COURSE!!!!! Their ranger John was extremely disrespectful and start cursing at me and my friends. He called us dumbasses and told us we were morons because we came as a group larger than “he” wanted. He blamed it on being a long weekend. That is entirely not a reason to disrespect me and my friends. 100% would not recommend this place if that disrespectful ranger is working. Very unpleasant experience.

Very good fish fry, and very friendly/good waitresses. The prices are about average or maybe even a touch lower than what I'm used to paying. I haven't been here in probably 30+ years but have wanted to come. Very glad I did! The golf course looks great from what I could see. I plan on returning in the near future.

Played on 7/9 and 7/10 as a single. Made the trip up north for a few days and rented a cabin a quarter mile away from the course.

Both tee times I got through GolfNow and were very well priced given I was surprised at the quality of the course.

The majority, if not all, of the fairways and greens were in phenomenal shape. I could tell the people who play here replace their divots/ball marks. Lush, well maintained and true.

I really enjoyed the layout - forgiving yet unique. The undulating fairways made for some difficult lies on your second and sometimes third shots. After lying it once, I was able to manage it confidently and with aggressiveness which made for a fun return round. I can’t wait to come back next year!!!

Only complaints were the pace of play for my first round was rough - I was smacked in between what I believe was a ladies league of sorts. Lastly, a couple of loud and obnoxious patrons at the bar as I ate my after round dinner. Look I am no Debbie Downer and encourage all to have a good time, but the consistent vile language and volume got a little too foul for me at times.

I am in the area a lot and I love playing this track. It's challenging and fun. It can be a little slow at times but the great bev cart and food options really make up for that. Bring an extra sleeve of balls since there are ponds and lots of woods.

Always a gem of the northwoods, great place to bring the family for an elegant night with steaks and wine or if you prefer cheerful games at the bar with dice, pull tabs, and burgers and beers on tap. Prompt and knowledgeable service the staff really know the area and know their restaurant and make each visit pleasant. The course is beautiful and often Immaculate despite the challenges of being settled right in the middle of northwoods you'll enjoy the rolling hills and dark green.

We had an amazing Mid-October round at Bass Lake GC! The pro shop staff were very friendly and accommodating. The carts were nice and the course was in excellent shape. Hidden gem in the Northwoods. Conditions were excellent, and the layout is challenging without being overly difficult. The back nine is a particularly excellent, old design, with shorter holes requiring precise placement of tee shots. Can't wait to play here again!

First off the course was beautiful, but the problem was how it was run…we drive over an hour to golf there. We were never told there was a tournament for 24 people..instead of giving them some time they put us right after them..we were told they were very good and it wouldn’t take long..ended up teeing off 24 minutes late and waiting 10 minutes before we could even tee off every single hole and then waiting to finish the hole..everyone behind us was irritated as well. Ended up taking us as a 2 some over 5 hours to finish. Which is just insane. Sucks because it was a beautiful course. But I’ll take my money elsewhere next time. Really disappointing.

The course is in beautiful shape. And this is a fun course to play. Lots of variety in the different holes. It is also long enough to challenge the longer hitters and they have shorter tee boxes for us shorter hitters. I highly recommend this golf course.

Extremely unfortunate experience. First impressions are everything. We called ahead to reserve a spot for nine, but no table was saved for us. The restaurant was not full, so we were told to seat ourselves outside. We combined two tables to sit as one party. The servers were arguing about who would take our table in front of us.

We sat outside for at least five minutes before a server came out to us. Allie came up to our table, scoffed at us before asking what we wanted. Not what we wanted to drink, or if we needed menus (which we did), but what did we want with no politeness in the slightest. We all ordered drinks, which we waited ten more minutes to get TWO OF THEM. Allie did not offer suggestions, and continued to say she knew nothing about the bar, since she wasn't a bartender. I walked into the bar to see if the bartender knew how to make a moscow mule (the other staff was considerably nicer than our server, but it didn't save the experience in the slightest).

The menu had very few options (on a Saturday). It was extremely disappointing, especially since we are a family of servers, bartenders, and cooks. The drinks tasted fine, but the manner they were handed to us was unreasonable. I would never take anyone to this club again, given the service. The apathy given from our server turned our appetites sour. We tried to be accommodating and reasonable (because large groups can be intimidating), but the amount of eye rolls and scoffs from our server made us ask for the bill as soon as the last drink was FINALLY served.

TL;DR: service was slow, rude, and not at all accommodating. Would give zero stars if possible.

Awesome course to play is what I have to say. It was all cut well, greens were in awesome shape, sand traps well taken care of, electric carts, and various challenges making the course not easy. Loved how it went around the ponds and all of the trees. Greens fees weren't terrible for paying for a course of this caliber. Add GPS to carts and go for 6 stars. This is an awesome north woods course that people have to play.

Bass Lake is located in a beautiful spot nestled back off the main highway with ample view of the golf course. The staff is very friendly and were right on point to our needs. The food was fantastic but they could have added a little more to the plate. A side of salad or coleslaw or even a roll. We were given a piece of paper with the menu on it. Now we did sit in the bar area so it is possible if you sit in the dining room there may be a bigger menu with more choices. All in all we did enjoy our meal and drink so I would say stop in. The prices are are also reasonable.

The course is great and had fun however, we didnt get warm and fuzzies from the staff. I bought a glove before our round and it ripped during the round. When we were done I went back into the clubhouse to exchange it. I politely told the lady who was working that it ripped and that I just bought it from her a few hours ago. She said well you probably picked the wrong size glove. (Like it was the customers fault). I took a new glove, same size and showed her that it fits perfectly. Ultimately, she did exchange it for me free of charge, but sure made me feel like I inconvenienced her by asking for an exchange. She should take lessons on how to treat customers because she wasn't at all friendly or welcoming.

The golf course is fantastic but the staff lacks customer service. My friend had a Groupon coupon that expires but the cash value was $59. We had a tee time before 9 AM with green feed we're $39. Well my friend did not get the difference which could need used towards merchandize due to no cash value. I should have have paid
$41.15 for my green feed but I was charged
$58.26. I believe that's more than they change on weekends. When I asked James about what I paid, he stated That we were getting a deal.

This golf course is in great shape. I was surprised to find a heavily played course in northern Wisconsin in such beautiful condition. I have driven up from Chicago for a number of years now to stay in a friend's cabin nearby. We play this course multiple times on each visit. The greens and fairways are always beautiful. The course does get a lot of activity with outings and their local men's and women's clubs, so the pace of play occasionally suffers. I recommend this course to any golfer in the area.
