Quite literally the most over priced, bad food we’ve ever eaten. We’ve had the dinner and did not like it at all, especially for the price, but gave them a try for breakfast. Almost sixty dollars for two people to eat one skillet and one order of Swedish pancakes, oh and two coffees that were not refilled once. Nothing breakfast about the house potatoes, eggs over medium were cooked hard. Waitress disappeared and a guy randomly popped in, barely acknowledging us, asked if we were good. At that point, we had been waiting for a while for the bill. Not sure how this place has anything above 3.9 stars.

The building does not yell Come In. But we tried it. Good was very good, and the margaritas were awesome. If we weren't on a motorcycle we probably would have had a 2nd pitcher. The Quesadilla Birra was something I have not seen on a menu before so I tried that. It is basically a roast cooked to very tender in Mexican spices. It was not spicy. We also had a steak burrito. Simple presentations but very good tasting food. And the special margarita rim they make was notably enjoyable with the margarita. Our price was higher because we ordered the pitcher. Plates were less than $20 each.

This place is fantastic. They have amazing carne asada tacos and guacamole. Try the a Diablo sauce, its super spicy.

Jaimie makes the best drinks and is an awesome dude. The Piña Coladas are probably the best we have ever had. We had one in the Keys that was a very close second. It was the best mojito I have had outside Mexico.

Everything was perfectly seasoned and was the perfect portion sizes. Also their coffee was delicious. A tiny slice of heaven in Williams Bay. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast that included the Fit n Healthy omelet, Greek omelet, oatmeal and cinnamon flavored coffee.
Server was happy and genuinely cared about our experience. The owner stopped by to see if the music was too loud (which it was not) and if we needed anything else.

Over priced for small sides ordered casabirria tacos hoping it was the bomb rice and beans come with it small scoop when I mean small small my kid would have taken 3 bites it would have been gone bland on flavor the tacos alone were good but lacked Flavor ordered a chicken taco chicken was dry asked for green sauce and she brought me a tiny to go cup enough for maybe one taco. Soda tasted like chlorine from the tap. Then when going to get the bill it was 49.38 go to use my debit card and was about to tip even though poor over all visit and there was a charge for the cost of there credit debit machine come to find out they can do that with debit cards but I didn’t tip due to it coming out to 51.48 for 6 tacos n two drinks wild won’t return that’s for sure

Oh my, this restaurant was a wonderful discovery! We were visiting - wish we lived nearby - Bay Cooks would be our go-to food source for eating in and carrying out. My husband had the burrito and loved it. The quesabirrias were absolutely delicious and my new favorite with deep, authentic flavors. They make their own yummy tortilla chips and even the rice and beans were great. The place has a local vibe and the staff were energetic and seemed to have a sense of pride in what they were doing. This was our first time eating here and we came based on the reviews we read. WE WE'RE NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL!!! From the the time we walked in until we left, we were greeted by Jaime, (pronounced Hy-mee, ask for him!) with a huge smile and thanking us for coming in. We came in for breakfast and when I asked him for recommendations, he passionately told us about certain dishes that are considered favorites. When it was time to order, I told him that I love all breakfast foods and to please surprise me and bring me his choice. He was not reluctant at all! He brought me the best skillet that I have ever had! Made with steak, chorizo, bell peppers, fried eggs and their special red fried potatoes. My wife ordered the salmon caper with the best poached egg she ever had served on an English muffin with avocado. We also ordered the traditional swedish pancakes on his recommendation and they were amazing!!! Do not pass this excellent family restaurant up!!!

This is our second visit this summer as we’ve visited the area for hiking. Usually we’d try a new restaurant but decided on a second trip here.

We have our dog with us so sit on the outdoor deck. The first time we had fish fry which was excellent. They had blue gill and that’s not always available at fish fries. Potato pancakes are excellent. This time my husband had the fish fry again and I decided to try the Mexican menu. I had enchiladas and they were good. Beans and rice also flavorful. At most restaurants they seem a bland second thought but these were tasty.

Went here when visiting Lake Geneva. Was skeptical at first, but I was so wrong. I had 3 tacos and they were all fantastic and I lived and worked in Chicago for 11 years and have eaten some great Mexican food.
The al pastor tacos were crazy good and had bits of mango that made them perfect. Fish taco had big chunks of tilapia and the steak/(maybe carne asada) taco was fantastic.

We found them and tried them for breakfast on Saturday morning... sitting outside on the cute patio... and came back on Sunday on our way out of town because we were already craving more of the food! Truly phenomenal service (we had Travis both times and he was exceptional and so friendly) and even introduced us to the owner, Antonia, who is gracious and humble but seemed very proud of her restaurant (which she absolutely should be!). Would have given a 5 star total rating, but Bay Cooks isn't up to date with their pricing/menu and/or up front with fees. We found this place up on Google and thought that it looked promising. They had a menu on their website to see everything they sold. Looked good and appeared to be decent prices. Got there and was seated right away. Knew enough to not fall for the offered chips and salsa (which hardly anyone gives for free anymore). Food was great, staff was friendly and quick. It was only after paying and leaving that I noticed each entree was $1 to $2 more than what was listed on the webpage menu. Plus, they added a ~$4 service fee for using a CC - which was not mentioned anywhere (I know everyone is doing this too - but usually it's said somewhere). Overall, the meal ended up costing $10-15 more than what we were thinking it would be when we looked at their webpage menu. It is too bad too, because if the menu was correct and they were upfront with their fees, I'd have gladly paid it and given a 5 star rating. In my mind this means only too things, either they are doing this on purpose to look good and hoping no one notices, or they are not on top of things and don't care to be either. I am sure like any restaurant, when they need to raise prices, they get their point of sale computers updated in a timely fashion.

About 75 cents worth of chips and a small ramekin of salsa, maybe 50 cents worth. They charged me $6.99 for the chips and salsa! REALLY?! Why so greedy? Will never go back again. Delicious! Best food and service during our trip to Fontana. Jaime was excellent. I’m gluten free, and while they didn’t officially have any GF options I was easily able to piece a breakfast together that I could eat. All 5 in our group loved our generously portioned meals. We’ll definitely be back!

Exceptional food and service. My friend had the Burrito, which she loved. I had the Quesaburilla which our waiter Ben recommended. It was awesome. Ben loves his job and people and knows the food at the restaurant and made our dinner the best we could hope for. I would highly recommend Bay Cooks. Wish I lived closer.

This out of the way Mexican restaurant is one of the best places I have eaten at. The Quesabirria is absolutely out of this world, and the seafood soup, with your choice of fish or shrimp is amazing! The cucumber jalapeño margarita was crazy good. This is definitely a must stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Total sleeper! Fabulous food. Went for breakfast and it was incredible. We then decided we’d try them for dinner. The margaritas were off the charts. I grew up in AZ and this is genuinely top shelf. They have an outdoor patio and the place is dog friendly as well.

Traveling with our dog Ozzie and were looking for place to eat outside to allow us to have our dog with us. The deck at Bay Cooks was open and a great place to allow us to enjoy a meal with our dog. Clean, friendly, great food. The server was very welcoming and took good care of us and our dog.

Really good breakfast place. The staff was super helpful, and the food was served super hot! It has a small family diner feel to it, and the food was all spot on!

-Omelet hosted plenty of fresh veggies.

- Pancakes were light and fluffy. The fresh fruit and whipped cream really set it to the next level.

- Skillet was picture perfect. And tasted as good as it looked! Fresh vegetables, potatoes, and eggs made for a perfect combo.

My girlfriend was nervous when we pulled up, but let the 4.8 stars talk her into. They earned every star! Food was delicious. I knew I made the right choice when I saw the server holding it. Everything was amazing. 10/10, will eat here again.

Fantastic find! Leo the Chef has made this an absolute must-do on any future Geneva trips. Their breakfast was excellent, Salmon-Caper Benedict and Mexican Skillet plus Bloody Marys. They have a large menu with unique choices along with some tried and true Mexican selections. We went back later the same day for a muddled pepino y jalapeño margarita. *chefs kiss* ...they have several Tequila options too, which levels up this diner.
Ben, our server is truly this spots entertainment! His smile, positive vibes, generous nature, and whole persona made this a fabulous experience. Hope he's there when you go. Picture a fun combo of several movie characters... maybe... Bill & Ted meet the sea Turtle from Nemo. RIGHTEOUS! 😄

I stopped at the Bay Cooks stand at the farmer's market. Not only was the red pork tamale amazing, but the employee made sure it was fully loaded with beans, cheese, and sour cream. He even approached us as we were walking away to ensure we didn't forget our sauce! Wonderful service, and for $3.50, I was stuffed for breakfast. I'm glad I was able to have this small experience while I was in town visiting! Definitely plan to stop next time I'm here.

Incredible, friendly and delicious!!!

We rarely repeat restaurants on vacation, but this one is worth it!!!
We both loved our choices!!

My husband had the Three Meat Skillet and I had the Mexican Skillet (added avocado). Their house potatoes are not deep fried, so they are soft and seasoned perfectly!! And the chorizo was flavorful and not too greasy! I don't like cinnamon much unless it's a roll!! But they add a subtle amount to their coffee and it's wonderful!!

Oh man, I didn’t think their food could have gotten better!! BUT this morning was phenomenal! We had Swedish Lingonberry pancakes, the Mexican omelette with potatoes and Chilaquiles!! Don’t judge we don’t live here and couldn’t pass up trying everything we could. Our server brought out a sample of their guacamole that is perfect!!

Day THREE!! Their Bloody Mary’s are perfectly spicy!! Repeated the Mexican Skillet, but our server suggested adding chorizo to my Chilaquiles!! Phenomenal!! Tortillas on the side!!

Sadly, lunch at Dads went longer than expected. We wanted to try dinner!!
