We went in just for drinks. The bar was full so we sat down at the high top table near the door. The waiter came over and handed me a menu. I said we only came in for a beer. He said we can only sit at a table if we are going to eat. So we had to stand up against the wall because the bar was full. If people aren't allowed to sit at tables to have a drink then people shouldn't be allowed to eat at the bar. I had a bad experience with this place in the past. I tried to give them another chance and was disappointed again. It use to be a fun place to go years ago.

'A good thing going bad.' We have been patrons for over 35 years. Our last several visits have shown a decline in food and service, culminating with both being absolutely horrible yesterday. Waitress rarely came to table. Drinks brought; no napkins at all. Had to go ask for some. Staff never asked if drink refills (or anything else) needed though glass was empty majority of meal. Our order took awhile to be taken, then our food never appeared though people who arrived after our orders were placed were almost done eating by the time we finally got our food. Our food was delivered lukewarm. Our order arrived incorrect. Husband was brought a basket of his missing his fries, which were placed on top of multiple slices of pickle(???) - so bottom layer was soggy. My hockey puck "medium" burger came more than 'well done'; completely overly cooked and dry by anyone's standards. I removed the dry bun pieces and picked at the meat as long as I could and when waitress finally came - standing and asking us on the fly from a distance how things were - it was over a third/half gone. She offered to replace it. I declined based on how long it took us to get our original order and missing fries; the fact my appetite was now gone; and the fact the whole experience to that point had been completely unpleasant. I did state she needed to be aware the food was horrible. She said she'd tell the manager. When she brought the check, I inquired if she had; she said she did; I asked for a discount; she came back with they'd not charge us for the fries. Long explanation I know, but even though we had a similar experience last time(s) with friends' orders done incorrectly and no wait staff checking in timely fashions, we still traveled 4 hours one way up and 4 hours back yesterday, literally just to eat there - based on decades of good food and a service staff who were top notch. No more. Losing our business won't affect their business; it's essentially a tourist trap now. But. It disappoints us because it's a loss of what was an institution to us in our decades of being patrons.

We went here because they were open later on a Sunday night in Door County and had a decent bar and grill menu. I would say, it’s basic. It’s your standard fair. The food is okay. We started with the fried mushrooms. You do get a heaping portion, and the ranch dressing it’s paired with is very good. The mushrooms were okay a little too much breading for my taste, but that’s me. My husband got the Ruben sandwich that he said was decent, not the best but not the worst. I got the fried fish and chips, huge portion, fries were piping hot which I like, the fish was good. Not the best I have ever had, but good. I wanted to try the chili, and maybe should have gone with that as I saw a man at the bar who seemed like a regular and was raving about the chili. Next time for sure!! I will say it’s a perfect place to watch the Packers game, and the service was great. The drinks I would say stick with beer. Can’t go wrong with beer. We both got a cherry bomb cocktail and it was honestly tasteless. We ate tourists trying to take in those cherry drinks, and these fell short, but a good draft beer would have been better. This a three star experience, when it comes to the food, but if you are going to just have a few beers and catch the game than it’s a five star, maybe try the chili.

We called in an order to go. Prices were a bit higher than what we expected from looking online. Service was friendly and great! We felt like treated like regulars and it was only our first time there.
The only downside was that we ordered the wings thinking they would be traditional buffalo wings (our bad for not asking) and they were just plain with a side of bbq sauce. We also asked for and paid an additional fee for blue cheese which we did not receive. However the chicken was cooked well and the deluxe pizza was SO good.

We have been eating here for years and always have a great meal. This year we tried the chili and chili pizza. They were was so good. My son changed the chili pizza a bit. Stop with the family for some burgers everyone really enjoyed their burgers. Fries were delicious and hot. I had the salad which was good. The ranch dressing is homemade. Service is pretty good and the food came out quick. We did have to go up to the bar to ask for more water because after food was delivered, our server wasn’t around much. The inside is a cool old bar vibe so it does not match the outside. You would not know going in but it’s a more dark Supper club feel to it. It could be a little cleaner, I felt like our table was sticky but overall wed go there for burgers again. Also if nice outside the seating in the back has water view. I didn’t know about that until after we left otherwise I would’ve sat outside- so we’ll save that for next time.

Six years ago: Okay food. We had Friday fish $20 a plate way over priced not really great. Very small side potato salad, if you ordered fries soggyish - fish not really fresh or overdone. Good service and atmosphere was nice bar. Regret this choice for Friday Fishfry but we were from Wisconsin and have high expectations on fish. Especially when it says fresh lake fish! For a low sodium meal, I had the Leif Salad with a Grilled Chicken Breast- green pepper, black olives, mushrooms 🍄and onions. There was a lot of black olives... for our two meals it was 33 dollars.

Have been here multiple times now, and always got the Bayside Deluxe Pizza, which is AWESOME. This time I got the friday Perch Fish Fry with german-style potato salad. FANTASTIC! Came in for our weekend getaway. Cute place with a lot of charm. We sat at the bar and had the Munchie Basket, which was a generous portion of mixed apps, and it was good. Unfortunately, the service was not good. We had to get the attention of the bartenders throughout our time there. Had to ask to order in the first place, had to ask for refills, had to ask for our bill after waiting and waiting. Meanwhile, many of the staff were taking shots together on several occasions and convening at the jukebox to choose music, looking at their phones, etc. Just seemed like they were more interested in entertaining themselves than the guests. Not very attentive.

Wow - probably the worst bar experience I've ever had. We stopped in for a drink at the bar on a Saturday afternoon in early November. It was pretty busy, but we got two seats at the bar right away. We sat there for 15 minutes as bartenders and servers completely ignored us - they even made drinks right in front of us and refused to acknowledge us or even make eye contact. We eventually just had to leave and go somewhere else. Either this place has the worst staff of all time or they only serve you if you're a local.

NOT the Bayside I grew up loving. I remember a few years ago grabbing beer after beer and a cup of chilli after chilli and making a day out of it. Recently came on a Monday and ordered a cup of chilli. We received our drinks quick enough, but after 10 minutes of not receiving our chilli we ordered, we asked our server what was up, she said she was waiting on the kitchen... 20 minutes later, waiting on the kitchen... 40 minutes later, waiting on the kitchen... 60 minutes later, still waiting on the kitchen. We politely said forget it... Will not be back!

Bayside Tavern is excellent. The tavern is comfortable and inviting. The food and service were superb. My wife had a bacon cheese sandwich that was well prepared and delicious. I had the Swiss mushroom burger, and it was one of the tastiest burgers I have ever had. The portion size was huge. Mehmet, the cook, prepared the food to perfection, and Yusuf, our server, continually checked in with us and is very polite and attentive. There was hair in my wife’s food and her chicken was like rubber and had no seasoning. My burger was cooked and also like this place has never heard of any seasoning. The waiter didn’t check on us at all to ask how the food is.

**Excellent Place to Eat!**

This spot has a great atmosphere with nice background music. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially a waiter named Apollo, who everyone calls Apo. He’s a super cool guy! We had a nice conversation about the area, and he even offered us a complimentary drink, which was really kind of him!

We ordered the white fish cakes and bratwurst, both of which were delicious! I also tried the local apple cider, a fantastic drink. They have a large selection of beers on tap and cocktails as well. 🍻🍸

I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend visiting this place!

**And here’s the best part**: They’re open all week from 11 AM to 2 AM, with food served until 10 PM.

Burger wasn't great and chips were from a bag. Cup of chili was a bit dry. Surley Grapefruit Supreme on tap was very good. Waitress/bartender seemed pre occupied. Convenient part of the strip in Fish Creek tho.

We showed up about 15 minutes before they stop serving food. Thank goodness they do cuz they are the only ones in town! Great atmosphere and the bartenders were friendly.

This place comes off as a towny bar that made a half way attempt to cater to the tourist crowd. The servers were more interested in socializing with each other and checking their phones than checking in with guests. We ordered a sausage & pepperoni pizza that came out soggy. Cheese and toppings were sliding off every single piece. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this was a frozen pizza. To top everything off, the beer my wife ordered was flat. If you're looking for a spot to throw a drink or two back before moving to the next spot, you could do worse. I would not recommend the place for supper.
