It was good, but not great for the price. I ordered the Turkey pastrami. They forgot the Swiss cheese I asked for, but no big deal, really. The tiny potato salad that came with it was very bland. I probably won't return.

Ok, so the only sandwich I’ve had here is the Hear, O Israel, but it’s a dang good sandwich with some dang good fries. For the amount of meat that will put you into a food coma, it better be good. Authentic Israeli deli meat and a sandwich with such personality? Sign me up!

Benji’s Deli is a must-visit—especially the location in Fox Point, Wisconsin. The layout is warm and inviting, the food tastes incredible, and you really feel like you get more value for your money at this location. And did I mention the food is fantastic? Their corned beef is absolutely out of this world, and the potato salad is just as impressive. Honestly, just about everything on the menu is delicious. They offer a great variety, and while there are a few tables for dining in, most people opt for takeout. It’s very convenient, with plenty of parking since it’s located in an outdoor shopping plaza.

I have yet to be disappointed with the Hear-O-Israel sandwich, the fries and coleslaw probably the best I have ever had. Service has always been attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend Benji’s.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I felt I had to say something about my experience at Benji's. I had a taste for a pastrami. We ordered our sandwich and it came with fries. The fries were good. But the pastrami was like lunch meat pastrami. I was so disappointed. it was extremely thin and looked no different than what you can get at a deli. I don't know if going to the Oakland location would be better, but I definitely know I won't be back at the Fox Point location any time soon.

Fox Point Location.
GARBAGE! I have never had corned beef this bad!! Two sandwiches and chips, cost nearly $40 served on regular sandwich bread, dry, and tasteless! On top of that, they didn't complete the order accurately. We were thoroughly disappointed and will not be back!!

Has been quite a while since we have been there, and experienced temperature issues on 2 of 3 entrees.
My companion ordered matzo ball soup. The dumplings were steaming, but the soup was not hot. There was a long wait until the server came back so she could send it back to microwave it.
She also special ordered a half chopped liver and pastrami sandwich that she enjoyed, but thought it was light on the pastrami. The rye bread accompanying the sandwhich and my entree was excellent. I always order the super hoppel poppel. It also was not hot enough with the cheesy topping almost congealed. A half order is a generous serving. I would advise telling the server that you need all dishes piping hot.

Benji's is such a staple that my grandparents used to come here for corned beef. After a long hiatus, I came for breakfast with my parents, my wife, and my son. I used to remember it being great, and I remember how much my grandfather loved the corned beef and the hoppel poppel. Suffice to say, everything was just okay. Even my father remembered the food being better seasoned when he was younger. I think our server might have been a little annoyed with our, 2-year-old. He'd make noise occasionally, but for two wasn't overly disruptive. Anyways, I'd say overall it was okay. Maybe it was just the nostalgia, but I will probably come back and try a Reuben for lunch. I'll hold out on my final thoughts until then.

The service was great. One bite and it was an instant need to return. The food is absolutely delicious. Although seating is limited indoors the service and food compensated for it. There is outdoor seating. If you come early you most likely will get a seat come after noon well chances are you won't. I do recommend this restaurant to whom ever wants a good corn beef or Reuben sandwich. My friends and I will make another trip there.
You won't regret this choice!!!!

I have been eating at benjis for over 20 years but the last few times it was below avg but ok, today took the family for breakfast and it was just terrible. The worse corned beef sandwich i had in my life, was stringy and thicker than irish style, and just globs of fat u cant eat… The potato pancakes if u can call them that, were just thick fried , raw in the middle and terrible. The matza brie if u can call it that was scrambled eggs on top of matza… barely ate my meal, and i live for this style of food and was beyond hungry. That the food quality could be this poor shocked me… i hope they clean it up, and maybe can try back in a few momths

I've eaten at these types of delis in Chicago and New York. For the price, their pastrami sandwich was "sad." It was supposed to be served hot, not cold!, and really very skimpy on the portion, and the pickle tasted like it came right from the can.
I will never eat there again, sorry Benji, it was experience I am trying to forget.

Today at Benji's Deli (Port Washington Rd near Bayside), I ordered Mish Mosh soup. It was a pile of noodles in a bit of broth with a matza ball and absolutely no vegetables, not even a sliver of carrot. For the price, I got royally screwed. Don't order Mish Mosh soup.

It's hard to beat Benji's -- excellent everything bagel, nicely toasted, generous portion of superior lox, generous amount of cream cheese. We have continued to visit b/c the food is very good but the joy of eating has now been clouded over by the rudeness and grumpiness of one server who shall remain nameless, but I suspect management knows who it is. Even though we have consistently tipped her 25% and have always been very friendly to her, she has repeatedly treated us like dirt. It'll be a long time, if ever again, before we go back.

The food is always good here. I prefer benjis in Shorewood, but that's mainly due to the atmosphere. However, I rate down one star due to cringey price increases. 2 coffees, 2 hot chocolates, and 4 cups of soup ran my family $50. I get inflation, I understand passing costs forward, but what was once a treat for my family is now untenable.

We had a great experience here at Benji's over the weekend. They were friendly and keen to customer service. Go in there hungry because the portions are just right. The Chicago dog was bigger than expected. The not so Italian beef was better than expected. I didn't hear a peep out of any of my family the whole time as they just devoured what was in front of them. It's a small place with outdoor seating. I gotta say the 80s/90s rock music playing at a low volume was pretty good. I will definitely stop by again if in town.

Called in my order. Staff answered politely and asked how they could help me. Ordered carry-out of a Super Hoeppel Poppel breakfast usually includes toast. I ordered it with a toasted Everything bagel. The Super Hoeppel Poppel is scrambled egg with salami, onion, bell pepper mushrooms, potatoes and topped with cheese. They included 4 packs of butter and 2 containers of cream cheese, for bagel. Generously more than I needed but I like to taste my bagel not drown in cream cheese. We also got an order of 2 potato pancakes with a side of applesauce and sour cream. Pancakes were not too thick or thin just the way I want from a deli. And 2 cans of Dr. Brown's cream soda. Can't eat from deli without Dr. Browns soda. It was ready in 10-15 minutes. It was all wonderful and enough food for three. My only improvement would be fresh diced potatoes in Hoeppel Poppel would be better than frozen. I still loved my dish. This was ordered at 2:00pm on Saturday afternoon.
