Lived in La Crosse my whole life and yesterday was my first time in Bennett O’Riley’s. First off, the atmosphere was solid and everything was clean. My wife and I sat down looking thru the menu and found house cocktails that were fantastic as well as a variety of food for even the non-Irish food lover. As we waited for the food to arrive we watched numerous other meals leaving the kitchen, which left me wanting a bigger appetite. Our food came out and I will say, we will be back. I love going to Bennett's on the South side because the food is delicious and reasonable all made from scratch, the drinks are reasonably priced. Most of all the staff is phenomenal! Pat is super friendly always on top of things, Lydia is sweet and works hard. Sheena is always smiling and Corey is friendly. They are all fantastic and it makes a terrific hang when u consider all that's mentioned above! I love the place it's definitely a 5 out of 5. I would and do recommend it to everyone!

Supper club and get a better fish dinner with soup and salad bar for less money! The fish was ok, the mashed potatoes were good but the peas were in-between can and frozen, mushy. Cost $23! Sorry, but I will not eat here again. Plus, they dont have what i like to drink. Here is what i could have had at Schmidty's with soup and salad bar.

The quality of the food is top notch. As an example: when you order boneless wings, you typically end up with more breading than chicken. Not at Bennett O'Reilly's - these are worth every penny and so far everything I've eaten here has been great. Stopped there today with my partner for brunch. This is my 5th or 6th time eating there and the breakfast is usually very good!
Today, I actually left still hungry and our bill for two was $50 before tip. I ordered the same thing I have in the past. I received the hash browns with peppers, onions, cheese and brisket. Today, it did not include two eggs or toast?! It may have been a new cook due to the Octoberfest celebration going on in town? Then I look over where they were setting up the pizza buffet, picture included. There was no sneeze guard, no heat lamp and placed right by the door. I witnessed several people standing over the pizza trying to view the varieties offered. After witnessing this, I would NEVER order this option. People just stood over the pizza without taking any. So sad that this is how my dining experience has deteriorated. Not sure I will be back. It's just good common sense to take food precautions, but unfortunately common sense is so rare these days!

This was our first time. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. The waitress was great and answered our questions. The problem is the food was really bad. The Ruben egg rolls, cheese curds, and fries are good. The Ruben is the worst I think I've ever had, the consistency of the meat was horrible (it was soft and almost slimy) and the sauce was not even close to traditional, the consensus at the table was that it was pretty awful. The chicken sandwich was tough and stringy. The badgerland burger was ok, but definitely not something to write home about. I think they are trying to put their own twist on it, which is admirable, but it fell flat. I don't think we will ever eat there again, but might consider it for drinks. They certainly weren't busy, but the bar was over half full and there were a couple other tables. Certainly wouldn't explain the food quality, so I'm thinking this isn't an oddity.

Our server was Kada and, honestly, she was one of the best servers I have ever had. Sometimes if servers are doing things just to get a big tip, but with Kada, I could tell she actually cared about our experience and was serving us to the best of her abilities, not to get a big tip, but because she cared about us. We have been here 4 or 5 times and this was terrible tonight. We ordered at 7:35 pm. We just order a hamburger and chicken sandwich. No one else was eating at the time. It was very slow. After 45 minutes we asked about the food. We were told that there was a party of ten that was before us. I stopped after work with 2 Co- workers, my Husband and I have been in many times. We were told to sit anywhere it was 4pm. We had 1 drink, then dinner then 2 more drinks when a man (not or server or bartender) stopped at our table after we just received our 3rd drink and told us we'd have to finish up our drink and move because our table was reserved for regular trivia players at 6:30 and it was now 6:31. I've been here a few times and the service is very hit or miss. Food and beverages are great and the outdoor patio is fun, but it's very frustrating to stand at the bar for awhile and be ignored or be waiting at a table to order food forever. Last week was our 4th time dining in. When we arrived we were told to seat ourselves however there were no open tables and the ones that appeared recently vacated had not been cleared. There were only 2 waitstaff working and one appeared to like to spend more time behind the bar. After placing our order it took 1 hour to get our food upon asking. We soon learned our food had been delivered to another table after talking to the table next to ours. Upon asking our server, he blamed the other server. The burger and Philly we were given were lukewarm and not made the way ordered. The response from the server was to comp my wife’s 1 beer and he avoided us until we asked for the bill. This is the second time we’ve had issues with service so we’re batting 500. We’ll try it again and hoping for better. Ordering take out my tater tots were over cooked an so hard you couldn’t eat them without chipping a tooth and my husbands fish was overcooked also the meal were not edible what a waste of money will not be ordering from there again.maybe the person running the fryer needs to pay more attention to that and not the kind of shots they wanted sorry lots of money for food we couldn’t eat.

Every thing was great, would like a few domestic beers on tap coors light bud light miller light etc. Food was great service they are new so I will say they were adequate.
