Extremely disappointed we have been coming here and brought my family here . We walked in for a fish fry and waited 90 min for our food. My fish fry included homemade chips that were soggy my fish was overcooked. Excuse was short staffed once again they said this another time we were there . Friends disappointed as well with us. Service has certainly lacked .small menu. Just not what it use to be. Sadly

Fantastic Hidden Gem: you need to check out Bert’s Pub & Grill in St. Francis. It is on S. Lake Drive just south of Howard Avenue. Besides a fantastic Friday Fish Fry… you will love their sandwiches. They have a delicious Cuban, a wonderful Reuben, great burgers, a tasty build your own thin crust pizza, and lots more. The atmosphere is cozy both on the inside and the outside. The staff has got to be one of the friendliest and funniest that we have ever encountered. You will want to check this place out, especially when the weather is beautiful, so you can enjoy the front or the back patio.  Trust us when we tell you this will be a nice “go to place” for you whenever you want to escape a long day/week at work. P.S. - Be sure to try their chili and soups.

As soon as me, my mom walked in. We immediately noticed the friendly atmosphere. Solid down to earth spot-especially for a traditional Wisconsin fish fry. Great prices.

Food: spot on. The 3 pc fried cod was one of the best in MKE. Perfectly balanced-not too heavy and a little crispy. Fries were nice and crisp. Best rye bread with a fry I’ve had.

Service: Pretty slow but understandably since they were in the weeds. Don’t come here looking for city-speed service. It would be nice if their paychecks included a QR code to pay. Otherwise, there’s a long URL you have to type in manually to look at your check.

Atmosphere: it’s a quaint bar inside. Wisconsin feels for sure. There’s a patio just off the Main Street. It’s fairly serene especially during the sun set.

Definitely worth a visit for a fish fry and old fashioned.

My fiance and I walked here for a Friday fish fry, sat on patio. Our server was running around like a headless chicken when there was barely anyone in the restaurant. We saw her jump in her car several times and drive off; bringing people to the restaurant and dropping off food? We asked her what she was doing and said she is forced to pick people up and do drop offs while she’s serving. I even ordered a Manhattan and got a shots worth of bourbon for $9 instead of up in a martini glass like a standard manhattan? I wanted to switch back to my cosmo but was told I’d still be charged for the inadequate cocktail they made. I have been a bartender for over 10 years, still am, and this has been the most wild service I’ve witness. We’re neighbors too so it’s such a bummer.

The place has a ton of parking space- though there's not a lot of sitting room inside. Service is a little slow, but it's alright. The wine selection is great, and the community of regulars is even better. This place is something special.

Stopped in on a whim after seeing their sign outside for $10.95 fish fry. Paul behind the bar took the time to learn our names and we noticed he did the same for everyone, very friendly. Just ok. Atmosphere and the outdoor dining area is nice. Service was fine. Not terrible, not amazing. Charged $20 for a single casamigos margarita. Seemed a little steep for a single. Bit into one of our wings and noticed it was raw and bloody inside. We were given a new order, but probably would have preferred to just have them taken off the bill (which they weren't). I don't know about anyone else but biting into a bloody chicken wing doesn't make me feel like I want to order or eat more... Manager or owner didn't stop by our table to apologize or anything, but I saw him come out several times and gab with a different table about their European vacations.

First time coming here(it was my birthday) and myself,/family absolutely loved it. From the start Alex the bartender/waitress was extremely friendly and welcoming. Her energy was a pleasant surprise, it certainly woke me up after a long day of work. We all ordered the 50 cent wings since it was wing Wednesday, which is a great promotional, especially for the size of these things! Lemme tell you nowadays I feel like a lot of pubs sacrifice quality for prices, definitely not here. The wings were grilled to perfection with a variety of delicious sauces. My only complaint would be the owners dog who free roamed the bar as patrons were eating and drinking. I love animals, and I own a dog myself, however I don't think it's appropriate for a dog to be snooping around for scraps in a dine-in setting, this dog did have a long coat and was shedding. Another bartender(older woman & very frail) made a snobby comment at us to "not feed the dog" ummmm we wouldn't, as previously stated I'm a dog owner and I wouldn't give her chicken wings & fries. Lovely atmosphere with an island bar, felt almost like I was at a cape cod pub. Despite my gripe with the dog being present whilst eating I would definitely return and highly recommend to others!

**Update: we finally went for the $1.00 tacos last night. They are delightful. Not fancy. They are straight up flour tortillas with ground beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and sour cream. You get salsa on the side. They use the 6" tortillas so you can gauge the size, and they are not skimpy with the filling like a lot of place with taco specials. I only ate popcorn earlier in the day so I was hungry. I had 5. Yikes. I was overly full. My bad. They were good, and I was hungry - just took it a little too far. But it was enjoyable getting to that point. Still loving the atmosphere of the neighborhood bar. I put the wing Wednesday in our regular rotation of places we love, and will now add the taco Tuesday as well.**

Truly lovely experience. Small venue with that friendly, neighborhood atmosphere. Very cozy and welcoming. Came in with a group of eight on a reservation. Too large of a group for true comfort, but we are a group of good friends and don't mind being snugged for a an hour or two.

Our server was very sociable, yet professional. I could just kick myself when I forget the server's name. They work so hard and deserve to be remembered. She was just great. Attentive and accommodating.

We went for Wing Wednesday : 50¢ wings and $1 sloppy joes. I'll start with Joes. I grew up making a sweeter joe with brown sugar, which was missing in these. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with them and they didn't taste BAD, just DIFFERENT from what I'm used to. And definitely worth more than the price tag.

The wings are great. Meaty, juicy, and flavorful. Minimum of 6 per sauce. I got 6 of the BBQ and 6 of the buffalo. The BBQ sauce is sweet, but not overly. The buffalo is just the right amount of spice where it'll warm your lips bit not kill your taste buds so you can't taste anything else.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, from the staff on to the other customers. A place where people were enjoying each other's company and not spending their evening face down in their phones.

We will surely be going back to check out their $1 Tuesday Taco special. Just woth a little smaller group. Maybe 6 max.

We surprised my sister by celebrating her 60th birthday in the igloo. The food was hot and very delicious and the drinks were great! I treated my 4 daughters to a mom & girl's night out. We reserved the dome/bubble from 7PM to 11PM on a Saturday. The food was fantastic, the drinks were great, the waiter was excellent & the atmosphere was really nice. We had such a good time that when our time was up in the dome we went into the bar & hung out for another hour. Price was reasonable too! I'd definitely recommend Bert's to anyone who's looking for a good evening out.

Place was very off. The cook looked like she was on something acting like it also. Seemed like they wanted to talk to the regulars instead of giving good service. It took 35-40 min to bring me nachos with no meat... the bar was empty when I ordered. Two people in the kitchen cooking. When I got the nachos they were colder than ice. What an experience… and not in a good way. We (and every other table on the patio) waited WAY TOO LONG for everything. The waitresses (2) were disorganized, frazzled and slow… they couldn’t keep their tables straight, it took us telling them three times we hadn’t been helped before we were finally given menus and our order for drinks was taken. An hour in we asked for the status of our food as we were ready to pay for the drinks and leave when it finally came out, almost all of it. 13 minutes later the 4th person at our table of 4 received their food. People were allowed to smoke on the patio while others were eating at tables next to them. It was absolutely disgusting!

My husband and I were in last night and rented one of your domes for the first time. What a nice cozy experience. Chloe was our waitress and we can't say enough great things about her. She was super friendly, always had a smile on her face when she would check on us for drinks & food, and was super attentive. The food was amazing as so were the cocktails. Came for winter dome experience. When I arrived I came inside and stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge me for 5 minutes... and our reservation was supppsed to start at 6, but we didn’t get in until almost 6:15. The dome experience at Bert’s seemed much more affordable than some other places, or so I thought. The dome itself was super cute and cozy, and a great atmosphere but it came at a cost. The alcohol was pretty overpriced, mixed drinks were around $12-13 each and bottles of wine (for sale for $10) were sold at triple that in the dome- seemed sketchy. The food was reasonably priced but took over 45 minutes to come from the kitchen and was mostly cold. Also, they have these domes for up to 8 people but refuse to run more than 2 cards (with Venmo I know this isn’t the biggest issue, but still...). The domes also do not seem to fit 8 people. Our dome only had 6 chairs, since we only had 7 people we were able to get a chair to squeeze in by the door, but not sure about another chair/person fitting...
it’s an okay time, and a cool atmosphere but can get pricey! With food, 1 alcoholic beverage per person, and tip, cost was about $50 per person. (Food was only like $11 of that cost)

Paul the owner is amazing! We stopped in once and the second time in, he remembered us by name! Talk about attention to detail. Mary our server, is just wonderful! She is aways busy but remembers everything! Might take some time but enjoy the decor and location! From Frank Sinatra, supper club feel, good genuine people to the outdoor ambiance to take in the views, this place is not to pass by! Fish fry was a nice soft batter, buttered toast and tasteful beer soup, a must try! Give this place a shot! Watch the daily specials and remember everyone is short staffed but worth the wait.

My son took me here for Wednesday Wing Night, 50 cents a wing. There are numerous sauces of various flavors and temperaments. There's enough sauce where next time I may bring a bib. And, there will be a next time.
It is a feel good sort of place with an infectious friendly atmosphere. I recommend stepping in and leave the world outside.

One of the most charming lakeside eateries in St Francis. Bert and Mary are the sweetest hosts that will remember your name even a week later. The cheese curds are excellent, drinks generous, and patio seating quaint. The fish fry was perfectly cooked. We'll definitely return to this spot!!

Atmosphere was wonderful. Fun spot to sit and enjoy drinks. We ordered food (fish fry night) and they were pretty short staffed. They warned us about the wait and they were diligent about bringing us drinks. I would come here again, probably on a less busy night.

The location is easy to find, right on a main road, but this means constant traffic noise. The servers worked together to provide service but we did get our food after four other customers that ordered after us. If you want good simple bar food and a cozy environment this is the place for you. Expect to relax and take it easy, no rushing getting in and out.

Stopped in Friday night, unaware a singer was booked for the evening. Crowded but we got a table. Pizza was decent, but could have used more Italian seasoning. Fish tacos were good, but not great. French fries had a nice seasoning. Overall a decent place in a nice neighborhood.

Went into Bert's for the first time. They had 50 cent wings. Was worth the price and the service wasn't bad. But I went up to the bar and ordered a southern comfort and rootbeer mixed drink. The owner was bartending and I got a short glass with a single shot. I also said I'd pay for the rest of the bottle of sprecher root beer after he completed making my drink. I gave him a ten dollar bill and he said "we will call it ten" honestly how much did the guy the charge me for a bottle of sprecher and the mixed drink? I cant wrap my head around paying 10 for that. Like 6 for a single shot of southern comfort and 4 for 3/4 bottle of rootbeer? Honestly dont go here unless you like being overcharged.

I had a great experience and the food was amazing the cook brought me my food fast and he was extremely polite and friendly he was a really nice young man and the food was amazing I got a burger and my wife got the Cuban both were delicious and juicy I have been here about 6 months prior and the food wasn’t that great the new cook is definitely an improvement I will definitely recommend to a friend

The food was beyond what I expected for how good it was. Had a cheeseburger and a Chicago dog, both were A++ ordered wings to go n my son loved them. We have loved our local "CHEERS" bar since the day it was opened! The owners are a special couple who know you immediately and incorporate you into the fold on day 1. The neighboring customers come from all around because it is so special, and the food and drinks are a great reason to come together! Give it a shot - it's worth a little drive. You will return!

Terrible! I have been driving by this place for at least three years, I decided to stop by tonight with my husband.
I ordered cheese curds, they were ok and calamari, it was burnt (almost black). It took 30 minutes to get the appetizers. We both ordered, the bourbon chicken and fries. It took an additional 35 minutes to get the sandwich, the French fries were not eatable, the fries were extremely salty, I mean very very salty, both of our fries were. By far the worst food I have ever had in a very long time, the owner was nice but I am very disappointed. Unfortunately I will never go back.
