I ordered the nova lox bagel yesterday. It was so delicious. Everything was very fresh and they used a generous amount of salmon. I ate in the restaurant which was impeccably clean and the service was very friendly.

I absolutely LOVE Big Apple Bagels in Grafton...but this one is a disgrace to the franchise. The bagel size is significantly smaller than the ones in Grafton...the cream cheese is not as creamy as Grafton...the selection of bagels is pathetic...at 10am a bunch of bagels were out and the staff said they will only make more for a big order...it was 10 in the morning...lots more business time left...Grafton is always plentiful. At Grafton there are at lease 5 coffee selections...here there is only 3 one being decaf. There were no patrons in the place where at Grafton there are always patrons which shows that they do good business. And to top it off...I spend way less money at Grafton and get more food than here. I am so disappointed...any good bagel suggestions in the milwaukee area I will take because I will never go back to this Big Apple Bagels.

Stopped in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. Sandwiches were loaded up very well and bagels were exceptionally fresh. Customer service was friendly as well. Only reason for it not being a 5 star is the charge to toast the bagels and the cheese not being melted on the sandwiches.

They have great food but miss important little details. Like... I'd like a warm sandwich where the cheese is melted. I don't just want a toasted bagel. Or when I ask for cream cheese on the side but it is put on the bagel instead, I am forced to eat it right away. Really I wanted a snack for later.

Big Apple Bagels has plenty of fresh bagels, variety, great schmears(cream cheeses) and other options.
The bagels are not quite as big as they were a decade ago, but what hasn't undergone some level of shrinkage, right?
Still a great breakfast stop and a great place to get a bagel or dozen.
Update 5/30/24: I had the Northern Omelet Breakfast Sandwich. Not good. Sausage was bland, so we're scrambled eggs. Not a very good Sandwich at all. Sorry but an Egg, sausage & Cheese McMuffin at McDs is better. Looks good - but lack of flavor.

They have many breakfast or lunch bagel options to choose from. Their mini cranberry muffins are a definite must.
Saw a bit of an attitude from who I believe was the manager. The elderly woman didn't want the cream cheese on the bagel and maybe she said it after it was done however the bag was thrown on the counter as he was going to make a new order. I know it can get frustrating but these are your customers and without them your business will be nothing. The husband even said he would scape it off since he noticed the attitude. Customers always come first. Besides that episode everything was good.

Have not been there in years. Not likely to go back. Poor selection when I went. Southern Tradition sandwich was not good with sausage. In my opinion sausage was under cooked Slow service and had to ask fo bags with handles as I had a large order. Asked if I wanted to tip. Not for owners? Save your money, they charge whatever they want and THE OWNER asks for a cash tip. I tried purchasing 3 bagels, not sliced and she tried charging me 15.38 by taking my card. Really gone downhill, which is sad. I used to love this place. Lately, everytime i go, it's a little worse. This will probably be the last time. I got an "everything" bagel with veggie cream cheese. Apparently, "everything" is scant sesame seeds, a few poppy seeds and a couple of oats. No salt, no garlic, no onions, and the bagel itself was utterly tasteless, in general. Ordered my usual breakfast BLT. The lady swung the credit card machine around prompting for a tip. I selected 15%. She then proceeds to ask if I have cash? I told her no…I don’t carry cash, ever. She tells me to bring cash next time for a tip. Lol excuse me? I told her no. Flat out. She is the OWNER. She shouldn’t be asking for tips in the first place. That’s for people who make min wage in a service industry job, like I am. I get home and open the bagel, there’s literally no bacon on it. None. So because I tipped the owner on my card and not in cash, she was mad and didn’t put bacon on my sandwich that I paid for. I’m super pregnant and this makes me mad. I’ve been going here on and off for 20 years and I’ll never go here again.

Arrived at 1030 on a friday. Unfortunately roughly half of the bagel baskets were sold out. Ordered a dozen. When it came time to check out, my card was swiped. I've been coming here for years and the quality has gone down the drain with the new owners. Gave me a big apple club with barely crumbles of bacon, bagel sliced on a horrible angle making everything slide out of it, one slice of cheese in the middle when it calls for two on the outside. Wears a mask that inhibits clear communication while having a heavy accent that is hard to understand then gets mad at you for not understanding, pushes for tips on the card reader and gets annoyed for not giving a tip, charges you the credit card usage fee. This was the last time I'll ever come here again.

Their lunch sandwiches cost almost $8.00 and have almost nothing on them- you get five times as much toppings and meat at Subway for the same price, and subway tastes 10x better. These are a total ripoff- you could make the same sandwich at home for $2.00 and it would be a lot better. If you look at the ads for Big Apple Bagel they have at least five times as much meat as was on this sandwich, and a lot more toppings as well. Other than maybe 1 - 2 ounces of meat there was one small lettuce leaf and a tomato slice. I brought this to the stores attention, that it looked nothing like the pictures of the deli sandwiches in the brochure on their counter, and they wouldn't refund my money.

Save your money. I ordered a toasted bagel sandwich with cheese. It wasn't toasted and it didn't have cheese. The guac tasted weird and was kind of brown, like it had gone bad. The deli meat were two slices of Oscar Meyer. Then as I'm walking away I see fruit flies in the pastry storage on the counter. Could only manage on bite and tossed it in the garbage.

Terrible experience! We stopped here at 10:15am on a Wednesday, we said good morning to the lady behind the counter, she looked at us without a response. We stated we would like a dozen bagels, 1/3 of the bagel bins were completely empty, the ones they did have only had one or two bagels in the bins. After requesting each type of bagel, the lady would toss the bagels in the bag like she was playing basketball. We kept having to ask the lady to please move over, she stood directly in front of the bins. It felt like we were inconveniencing her the entire time we were there. If this lady was the owner, she won't be in business long. We will never step foot in this business again. The service we experienced was very disappointing.

I have not tried their Apple Bagels yet, but their normal flavored bagels are delicious. They seem to be sold out of the apple ones by the time I get there every day but I am very curious. Maybe I'll set my alarm for 8:30am so I can try to get there early enough to beat the apple rush. I'm also looking forward to seeing how big they actually are. In my mind I picture them as being at least double the size of their plain bagels but I would be happy if they are at least 50% larger.

Seems to be a reoccurring theme since new management this former hidden gem has gone extremely downhill. First thing I’d like to mention is that in between handling money and handling food, no gloves were changed. I understand we’re all human and mistakes happen but considering it’s food service AND we’re in the middle of a pandemic it’s not acceptable. Update 2/4: I have visited three times since ownership change. Bagels are chewy now with very little cream cheese. Coffee tastes different brand and watered down. Horrible experience. They’ve been acting like they’ve been going through an employee/management change for months now and they still don’t know what they’re doing. I was in Milwaukee recently, when i noticed Big Apple Bagel and I was surprised. In Racine where i grew up, we had a Big Apple Bagel there and it was favorite place to get bagels, and then one day it just closed, that was many years ago and didn't even know they were still around. So I was ecstatic to see that there was still one around in Hales Corners. When i ordered a tomato basil bagel with garden vegetable cream cheese, it brought me back to year back..that bagel was just as good as i remember it, staff was nice. The owner actually came out to talk to us about the quality and wanted to make sure we were satisfied. Very very nice man. In my best opinion, this is the best place to get a bagel, soooo good. It was apparently too long of a wait for the toaster so she started sweeping the floor WITH HER GLOVES ON then proceeded to NOT change her gloves before again touching my bagel. I just moved from NY and it's been rough trying to find a breakfast sandwhich place. These guys are doing something right. From the amazing smell as soon as you walk in, to the delicious home made bagels; if the staff wasn't so friendly, I'd feel right at home.

Big Apple Bagels has been at this location for longer than I can remember which is a testament to how good their bagels are. A lot of businesses in this strip mall don't last a terribly long time, but BABs has been there forever.

They have at least 20 different types of bagels every day and at least 10 different spreads to go on them. The combinations are endless. They also have a variety of fresh muffins, and they can make breakfast sandwiches as well. The amount of cream cheese they put on your bagel is EXTREMELY generous, and I've never found myself wishing I had more.

The prices are cheaper than most other bagel places in town and their bagels are bigger and softer as well. Big Apple Bagels is a local business that I'm MORE than happy to patronize on a regular basis, and you should too!

I’ve lived nearby for awhile and have never tried them until recently. Got some breakfast sandwiches and had to get a few muffins. The prices are good, the sandwiches are pretty big, and they tasted awesome. The muffins are incredible as well. Definitely plan on coming back here!

I’ve been here a few times now and I love going here. Their bagels are delicious and fluffy, just the right consistency. The coffee is decent as well, for a small chain - I don’t expect it to be premium roast like some of the reviews here, but it’s good regardless.
I’m not sure how no one has mentioned this but there’s always so much cream cheese! Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing but I always end up throwing out like half the cream cheese because there’s usually more cream cheese than bagel.
The reason I give 4 stars here is that the service is usually pretty unpersonable and awkward. The high school staff never seem to actually know what they’re doing and the older staff are usually pretty quiet and non-interactive.
Other than that, I do recommend Big Apple Bagels. The food is great and the coffee is good.

Not sure if they just never make enough bagels but the last 2x I've tried to visit this location they've been closed before the 5pm posted on their door. The 1st time we went it was around 3:30pm and they were closed, lights off no one there. The 2nd was at 4:30, and again they were closed. I'm just not going to bother with this location anymore.

We had a coupon buy one get one free deil bagel sandwich. Both sandwiches where amazing! Their muffins are very good. We had the cherry cheese cake and shared it. They have great selection of bagels and muffins. The service was great!

If i could give it zero stars, i would. This place was dirty when walking in. The girl at the counter was rude. I ordered two sandwiches and a bagel with cream cheese. The sandwiches were in garlic bagels which tasted like saw dust. The hummus on one sandwich had zero flavor. The bagel was chocolate chip with strawberry cream cheese. Awful. My daughter wouldn’t eat it. The cream cheese was radioactive pink color. It costed almost $20 and took almost 20 minutes for my order to come. Awful experience. Awful food. Don’t waste your time.

The bagels are very good, although the selection of varieties seemed limited. The bagels are fresh and chewy. However, I have been here twice and the coffee has been bad both times. On the last trip I got the dark roast and it was very weak. I could also taste the flavoring from whatever coffee was previously in the self-service carafe. A place that specializes in breakfast should take more care in how they make their coffee.

Good bagels/poor service. The customer seems to be an inconvenience to them. Each time we come in to order, they seem almost irritated at being interrupted. We've given them more than a dozen tries. I'm just going to make the drive to Einstein in Brookfield instead.

I was so disappointed with my breakfast this morning - I should have known it was not going to be that great when I saw my to go coffee cup being taken out of the microwave.

I ordered the Breakfast BLT to go and a Caffe Carmella latte, the total was around $9 (which was fine.) However, I was in the car halfway to work when I finally opened my breakfast sandwich to see that it was only a bagel with about a pound of cream cheese - I was so disappointed! I called the store to let them know what happened and said that I was unable to turn around and all the clerk said was, "Well I am sorry about that."

Due to watching my coffee cup being removed from the microwave I was skeptical to try the latte and waited till I was already at work. Is tasted like lukewarm milk with a shot of caramel...and was all dumped down the drain.

So disappointed with my experience and I will not be returning.
