I really like most of the staff that work there. Mikaela one of the staff i am not sure if I got her name right always is very helpful and really goes above and beyond to help me and is always stepping up to help out. She is always on the go helping. Also really kind. I always get the deap dish Apple muffins I really like them they always are fresh. Always clean placethe selection of bagles is big. Tons of different one like one they have now is pumpkin bagle and if you like pumpkin you will love that bagle.over all 5 star place if you have not been there most check the place out

Very disappointed. I paid $2 to add cream cheese to my bagel sandwich and this is what it looked like. I asked kindly if they could give me a little container of more cream cheese and they told me I would have to pay another $2. The cashier was rude and rolled her eyes. I love going to Big Apple Bagels for lunch. I usually get the turkey club on a plain bagel with a side of chips. I also enjoy their breakfast bagels with eggs, ham, & cheese. And don't forget to grab some mini muffins!

Natalia was awesome! These bagels were so epic. Bustaroni and scrumdiddilyumptious. So affordable and good value. Came to feast upon some bagels with my good pal, were quite amused on finding out the name of the street. (see in picture) Bagels were toasted to perfection and the hashbrown was quite crispy and nummy. That pretzel bagel twisty savory scrumptious tasty satisfying tummy filling bread was so dang good. That salt on top??!?! Pushed me over the edge. So amazing. Literally transformed me into a crystal palace filled with love and happiness and maybe some pretzels. Thank you. Our first time here and it was a great experience. The girl who helped us was very patient, and we never felt rushed, looking through the menu and making our choices. I got the lock bagel which was very delicious and fresh, and a hot chai which was equally as good. A chocolate cheesecake muffin as a treat rounded out my meal and it was so good as well. I had written a review in the past saying how fresh and good their food is so here's an updated one. 9/2024 I use to go here all the time. I have absolutely no complains about the sandwiches i like muffins are gummy most the time even the mini ones. That's not the problem, when I went in or called I would get the same food & coffee but my total was hard ever the same - inconsistant. I am at the point to where I have to ask to check the receipt to make sure it was wrung up correctly. Only maybe 2 people actually know how to ring up the order correctly including the owner he didn't even know how, he had to turn around and ask someone else. When I go to a place of business I shouldn't have to keep checking my receipts. I can only imagine how much money has been over charged to their customers & the customers had no idea they were being over charged. Examples are being charged for ham when it comes on it anyways or being charged for the different kind of cheese. So now I choose to get to a Gas Station for my breakfast and coffee. I've addressed this over & over & over so I chose not to eat from you only a fraction of the time anymore.

Cute, modern dining area with high rise seats at the coffee bar, a few booths and a secret nook with the best seats in the house: a pair of stubby, leather chairs with a mini coffee table between them. Bathrooms are well kept and the most of the tables are clean. Just don't look at the window sills (they're speckled with crumbs and dead flies) and you'll have a nice time.

Service:
Friendly, helpful. The best you could hope for a little place like this. Although if you order a hot chocolate you'll have to stir it yourself. Not a problem, plenty of sturdy coffee stirrers are available.

Food:
Finally. Real bagels.
I come from the east coast where the bagel scene is competitive and only a proper, Jewish bagel from a NY Deli adequately hits the spot.

These are a pretty good Midwestern approximation. Leagues better than the overly chewy, semi-sour, microwaved Walmart bagels you mostly find out here.

The drink menu is alright, it'll make you happy. Nothing to write home about but it's a few steps behind Caribou.

I have been a long time fan/visitor of Big Apple Bagels. If your looking for a quality bagel, you can find some of the best bagels in town here. I visited from about 12:30-2:30pm this afternoon. It wasn't very busy during this time, maybe a total 5-10 guests came through during the two hours I was there. Most all the tables we're visibly dirty, with marks/crumbs, some with napkins. Every other napkin container was empty. I overheard one of the staff in the back say "to make sure to check the expire dates on the cream cheese" and she said, she forgot to check this morning, which is great to hear some one there is paying attention to expire dates. Overhearing this, caused me some concern, i.e. are the staff regularly checking for that? Was the cream cheese I just ate ok? Why does someone even need to say that to fellow employees? Shouldnt that be a regular protocal to check expire dates?
I thought about not writing a review here as it feels negative in nature to write this feedback. I dislike doing that in life. I also really really love this place. It's been a long standing local business in the area, and I do think the moment deserves some constructive feedback. I hope to return again to a more cleanly environment and positive experience.

There was a mixup with my order and the total, After a bit they fixed that. I left with my bag and had to come back because they had screwed up the order again. I came back and they fixed that and gave me the right order. My only complaint in the end is don’t put strawberry bagels in the same bag as the garlic ones. The garlic ones are very garlicky and delicious. I just don’t want my strawberry bagels to taste and smell like garlic.😉

This is a neat little place for a smaller restaurant chain. I'm not a big bagel fan to begin with but I will enjoy one from time to time. I don't really have anything negative to say about this location, its service workers but I will say the bagels are not as good as one would think. The first time I tried them, I got a sandwich and the bagel was so tough to bite through, the contents of the sandwich came gushing out the sides and onto my lap. Thankfully, they had cut the sandwich in half. So, lesson learned with the first half and I ended up separating the sandwich half and eating it open face style. I had better success then. The other times, I just ordered bagels. Again, the bagels were quite tough and hard to bite through. With cream cheese on, I'd find myself wiping it off my nose after every bite. I'm not saying the bagels were bad. They tasted just fine but I prefer a softer bagel. So, because of that, I haven't returned. The service has always been kind and friendly. The atmosphere is very quaint and calm. A nice place to sit and catch up on work or even relax a bit. I can't say I recommend them but I also can't say I don't.

Genuinely the worst customer service experience I’ve ever experienced. Took 15 minutes to get our sandwiches. Ordered an iced coffee, they never brought out the coffee. Went up to the counter after another 15 minutes and asked where it was, she said they’d make it ASAP. Another 10 minutes go by and still no coffee. Finally had to ask another worker for a couple muffins to compensate since the coffee wasn’t getting made. Unfortunate that I have to leave this review as I really like the food but one worker really messed up our entire experience and wasted an hour of our time.

Breakfast sandwiches are great, muffins are pretty good too but a bit dense. Maple bacon had plenty of maple flavor but could use more bacon, and the chocolate cheesecake the chocolate flavor wasn't great but the cheesecake was.
I don't recommend the iced coffee though, which is why I couldn't give a 5 star review. My husband and I each had different ones and neither of us liked them, his lacked flavor and mine just wasn't good.

I ordered my bagels online as a surprise birthday gift for my daughter. They were delivered as requested and right on time. I called the store to ask them to put a note on the bag so she knew they were from her parents and they did it without hesitation. The bagels were awesome too I hear.

Unfortunately I can not leave a good review. While ordering the attendant was not able to hear me as I was placing the order nor could I hear her as she spoke way too fast and way too softly. I had asked for a hazelnut latte. Long story short I ended up with a plan latte. When informed that I had indeed ordered a hazelnut latte all that was stated was : "that cost extra". Nothing like: "can I fix that for you" or even an "I sorry let me see what I can do about that". I made no issue about the mistake, but in the long run tossed the latte in the garbage and left quietly. It will be hard to return with such poor customer service.
I have worked customer service for 20 years. Mistakes happen. How you handle your mistakes makes all the difference in the world to make a good customer experience happen even when things go wrong at first.

I have driven by this place many times headed back to the cities, but never gave it a shot. I got a club sandwich style bagel with chips and an order of 6 bagels with a tub of cream cheese, to-go of course. There is no indoor seating currently.

Everything was really tasty, well made sandwich with fresh produce and meats, the veggie cream cheese was really flavorful. The staff was super friendly. No complaints at all, in these pandemic times it was a great safe and tasty place to stop for lunch and get some bagels for the work week.
