Billy Sims has the most tenderous and delicious meat I have ever had!! from there ribs down to there bologna. It is so delicious. My favorite BBQ sauce is the hot bbq sauce. It is so good!! This is one of the best sauces I have ever tried. I highly suggest Billy Sims BBQ!! The meat is smoked fresh on site everyday and is so delicious. You have to try their ribs and cornbread. Their Heisman burger is one of my all time favorites with the brisket, pulled pork and sausage. It is 1 of the best sandwich I have had!! Their macncheese is very good also!! You gotta try this place!!

You ever eat a meal that was so bad, it straight just made you angry at everything? That's this place....and their food. Their brisket is corned beef...not actual bbq brisket. I've had beef jerky with more moisture than that dog food they wanna call brisket. The Mac n cheese was elbow macaroni violently drowned in a watery cheese sauce. The chicken is so dry you can use it as kindling to start a fire....then hopefully make better bbq on said fire. The staff was really nice though.

I've been wanting to try Billy Sims BBQ for some time. It did not disappoint! Huge portions. My husband and I each got a 3 meat dinner, along with 2 racks of ribs so we'd be set for the weekend. I could not finish my 3 meat dinner. I got the chicken, pulled pork, and chopped brisket. All were great. He got the smoked polish sausage in addition to 2 other meats. We were joking on the way home, I asked if I could try a little piece of the sausage and he said it depended on how much he got, I may only be offered a smell! I was lucky to get a piece and wow, it was delicious! Will be definitely be back!!

Excellent bbq joint way down in Franklin. I chose the multi meat plate. The Polish, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork were all delicious. They give you plenty of pickles as well. Scarfed the food down before taking photos, but will be back. I'm not a Lions fan, but I always admired Billy Sims as a player. He has a great bbq chain.

I googled bbq restaurants after watching the brewers play 6/15/25.the first result was this establishment. First red flag was when i looked over the counter where they were preparing orders,the person had a slab of ribs in saran wrap,my first thought was there definitely will not be any char,or crispyness to these ribs,but i figured with least all the steam from the wrap the ribs will be falling apart to my surprise not at all,i mean tuff,i got bbq beans tasted like old school ,school luch beans,i had to drench them in bbq,the coleslaw was okay. Don't waste your money! Driest BBQ I've ever attempted to eat. The brisket is more like beef jerky than brisket. Pulled pork looked to be reheated in the microwave, after scraping the hard crusty layer off the top, some of it was edible. Pint of beans was mostly liquid and not many beans. After seeing all the reviews about how amazing the potato salad is, I was greatly disappointed, its the same basic potato salad you can go to any grocery store in the area and get from the deli for way less money. Waste of $100+, most of the food is in the garbage.

I should have known better when there was only one family in the dining room and an empty drive thru on a Sunday afternoon. This is probably the worst barbecue I've ever eaten in my entire life. The anticipation I had about trying this restaurant for the first time was so great! Sorry to say I was very disappointed. A Saturday afternoon visit at 3pm. Maybe the empty lot should have been an indicator… I got the 2 meats/2 sides. Sliced brisket and hot link with mac & cheese and green beans. 1st and foremost everything was cold. We had a great experience from start to finish at Billy Simms! I called on two different occasions prior to placing our order as I had questions while planning to host some family at our house. Their customer service was great, the two gentlemen that answered the phone were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. It's hard to find people that care these days. We placed a large order, the MVP pack and some extra food (chopped brisket, pulled pork, chicken, mac and cheese, baked beans, green beans, potato salad and every type of stacker, the chocolate was the best!) online for a scheduled pickup time. So easy, food was ready and hot, they didnt miss anything and had us all ready to go with utensils, bread, etc. The sauces were tasty and all the food was delicious! The three guys working on 1/18 were excellent and deserve to be recognized! We didn't expect much from a chain BBQ place but Billy Simms changed our mind. The food was great and my family of 10 definitely enjoyed it, some even had multiple helpings. Even taking some home too! I will definitely be back, thank you for a great experience, it's been a while. Even my husband who is in upper hospitality management at luxury hotels (and can be a tough critic) gave you two thumbs up.

I was always told that if you DON'T see a smoker on site, then it's not real BBQ.
I literally saw him pull a softball size of meat out of the fridge. This is a Kit/prepared meal. I chose something from the floor sitting banner. Don't get me wrong it was a great pulled pork sandwich. You have to add the sauce.

Ok, I'm a real BBQ enthusiast, and when it comes to franchise BBQ places, you really need to up your game. If your a Wisconsinite, and think this is the best, it's not. Most times, when I go to a real BBQ place, they smoke the meats in house, which means you can smell it outside the building. I barely smelled it, but you get inside, and it hits you. Employees are nice, but don't go to fast ordering, they might need it repeated. Food took about 5 minutes, just waiting on the slicing of my selection. 3 meat, 2 sides. They were out of turkey, so I got pulled pork, bologna, and sliced brisket. I'm always looking for that pink smoke ring for obvious reasons. The brisket had it, but minimal. The more pink ring, the better the flavor. While it might have been smoked, it might have been for a couple hours, which won't give it much flavor. The food was Luke warm, I would have expected a bit warmer but wasn't. The brisket was decent and was tender, but not juicy. The pulled pork lacked smoke, the saving grace was the hickory BBQ sauce. Normally I don't use BBQ sauce, but it was the only thing that helped get the flavor up. The bologna didn't even taste smoked. Their sides are big, just not very good. I had Mac and cheese, and it just felt like it was bought and heated up. The saving grace of the review was the price, 3 meat combo with 2 sides are $20. But you get what you pay for. True BBQ comes from the attention to detail, and passion. Billy Sims, seems to have come from a place of making money, not outstanding BBQ.

This was our first visit and we used the drive thru which was very convenient. We ordered the Heisman with coleslaw and the loaded spud with chicken. Both of our meals were very good. The loaded spud is huge and the heisman had a generous portion of meat. We would definitely order those again but also excited to try some other things. They had a coupon in the Clipper magazine so we thought why not try this place out. You can either eat in or order at the drive thru. Inside seating is booths or tables. Any sides are additional. We also ordered a half a rack of rib dinner which comes with your choice of two sides. We picked potato salad and baked beans. A nice piece of corn bread was included. Very tasty . All the meats are smoked. You can add the sauces to them. They have a BBQ sauce with some kick to it, a sweeter sauce and a hickory sauce. They all were tasty. The pulled pork sandwich is on a smaller sized bun but it is loaded with meat. The meat was tender and juicy....not dry. It was tasty. The other sandwich we tried was the smoked chicken breast sandwich. The chicken is not shredded but sliced in nice large pieces that fit in the bun. There were ample slices of the chicken. The potato salad and beans were good. The ribs were ok. They don't come with sauce on them. They are seasoned and smoked. I personally didn't eat any. My dining companion said they were ok. (Didn't get a pic of them because we took the ribs home). I would have preferred if the sauces were in squeeze bottles on the table. The sandwiches could have had a side included for the price. They asked if I wanted pickles and I think onions on the pork sandwich but they forgot. We did go back up to the counter to get some pickles. They tasted like crock pickle spears. Great flavor....hint of garlic. I would go back using the drive thru if I had a hunger for a pulled pork sandwich. Their three desert parfaits look really refreshing; layered banana pudding with creme and wafers, chocolate mousse and a strawberry one. Dining room clean. Accommodating staff. Was kind enough to give us a sample of the bologna and check what brand they use.

Employees seem to actually care, food is very tasty. It would be 5 * if it was in a better location.

The food was good but the restaurant was unreasonably cold. We could not take our winter coats off. It actually got colder while we sat there so I rushed to eat so we could leave. It's unfortunate but you can't have a good dining experience when it's 60 degrees inside, in March while snowing outside. Turn your heat on cheapskates!

Just picked up dinner from here for the first time. Used Local Flavor coupon offer. Ordered The Heisman- very good, the Triple 20 was just a bun and pulled pork. Nothing like the description of sauce, coleslaw, etc. very disappointing as I went into the store to order and still received an incorrect order. Had pork and chicken sliders that were great and Mac & cheese was delicious. We were excited to try and support locally. Even though we had an awesome coupon it is discouraging to not get a simple order right.

This is a great quick meal, we frequently come here on busy nights, it’s a solid option. The sides are underwhelming, cole slaw is probably the best, but the smoked meats are really good. We like the pulled pork and the sliced brisket a lot, great barbecue flavor. Service is always fast, efficient and friendly, the employees are all helpful and have good suggestions.

Has potential to be a solid place. The meat was not fresh out of the smoker,(maybe a day old) although seasoned well It was actually a little cold. I didn't like the banana stacker It had cool whip which is just meh for me. The baked potato was delicious and hot! The staff were friendly and welcoming. You're not going to leave thinking this is the best bbq you've ever had but you'll be full and it'll subside your craving.

I had never been there before today despite riding past it hundreds of times on the bike or in the car. The Heisman sandwich is worth every penny (get it with brisket). The mac and cheese is damn good. I wasn't impressed with the baked potato salad, the corn bread could have been better and the pecan bar dessert was nice just not for that price. The "hot" BBQ sauce was really tasty but if you're looking for spicy it's laughably weak. But like I said, the sauce is very good. I'll be back. That sandwich was as good as Billy Sims running the football. I'd like some bicycle parking so I can lock it.

Ordered on line thought I’d check it out. Tell my co workers. Ordering went fine. Picked up food . Good service so I tipped. When I got home I was totally disappointed. The meat was mushy no flavor like it was boiled not smoked.. there was no flavor the texture wasn’t consistent with meat that’s been smoked. The potato salad had an off flavor. The coleslaw was plain tasting. I started to think something was wrong with my taste buds. But the desert was ok. But when I called to tell them this he dismissed me by saying a lot of people like it. We’ll that’s fine and dandy. This is just my opinion. I guess my dog will have a treat. And since I had a taste for bbq. I’ll be grabbing famous Dave’s.
But don’t take my word for it. My suggestion is that you ask them to taste a bone instead of investing in a whole dinner. No one want to throw their money away.

Definitely going back! Guy working who seemed to be in charge was very knowledgeable and welcoming.
They accidentally made a mistake with my baked potato that was suppose to be plain. Misheard us and made it loaded with pulled pork. We chose to try it anyway and it was the BEST MISTAKE I’ve ever ate!
