The atmosphere was amazing. My group of 9 was greeted so warmly by April, the amazing hostess. April had began to tell us the drink specials before we got to the table. When prompted with a question about drinks, she went out of her way to accommodate our preferences. Marcus our sever was so sweet as well. Not to mention the food was amazing!

Staff and food were phenomenal. Chicken and wild rice soup was AMAZING. Bread rolls were a bit like croutons lol but they have the cutest displays for the food. Ambience was beautiful for the aesthetic and views, only thing is it was a bit quiet in there when things were slow. Could use a touch of ambience in the environment. Staff was amazingly friendly and wonderful.

Bistro Buchanan had an off night? Maybe, but I highly doubt it. From the moment I walked up to the hostess stand and was greeted with a blank stare (proper etiquette is to welcome the guests with a "hello" or "Good evening!") I began to second guess bringing our friends here. The rave reviews- I am skeptical & I noticed they also took over B&Ts reviews as well from a year ago+, sneaky.
Abysmal service sums up our evening. The server needs training, no name given, no idea how long they have been open, no specials? No idea what they serve on the menu. Reason there are no lyonnaise potatoes? "The restaurant is so old, they didn't update the menu". Uh, ok. It took about 30 minutes for drinks and our order to be put in. Water glasses sat empty.
There were literally 3-4 tables in the restaurant from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on a Friday night. Consumers are figuring out there are better restaurants.
The kitchen needs support, training and a chef to lead them. The bread was disappointment out of the gates- hard as a rock. Butter was adorable in flower shapes.
We ordered 2 Black & Tan steaks and 2 Ribeye steaks. Not a single one was cooked properly. Two medium rare $50 steaks were med well at best. Two $44 Ribeyes were ordered medium rare- at best medium, leaning to medium well. The server asked if we had feedback for the chef- I mentioned the steaks- she said "oh, ok" and ran off. Really? We just finished our steaks and gladly left- never to return or recommend to others. We were hoping this new restaurant would be our new favorite. It clearly missed the mark at every service level opportunity from entry greeting to departure. The best part was the atmosphere- although seating tables under AC vents will surely cool off the food quicker- maybe more strategic table placement would help.
What a shame for the owners & investment they made- your staff is not giving you a ROI.

My friend from California was coming for a visit, and we wanted to try a new restaurant; and Bistro Buchanan was our choice, and it was an excellent choice: the meal and the drinks were excellent as well as the service and the gorgeous restaurant. We both had Chicken Frangelico and brandy old fashioned. We were late for the reservation time, and they handled it well.

It was a last minute Birthday dinner. The staff and Chef were able to accommodate the whole family. The quality of the food was phenomenal, the wait staff was amazing. As we were dining the Chef came out to greet us and ensure the quality of the food and that our experience was amazing. We will return

My husband and I came here for a date night, and we were honestly blown away. The place is absolutely beautiful, and everything, from the food to the service and the overall vibe, felt so special. Our server, Ash, was a gem. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for. The bartender welcomed us with the kindest smile as soon as we walked in, which set such a lovely tone for the evening. And the chefs? You can tell they truly love what they do! The dishes were not just delicious but felt like pieces of art. We left with full hearts and happy stomachs, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Went here for the first time for my boyfriend’s birthday. We were seated at the bar while we waited for our table to be set up. We got drinks at the bar. The bartender was very friendly, but the drinks were a little weak and we waited a long time for them. Once we were seated our waitress the entire evening was attentive and very friendly. He had the ribeye and I had the seafood ravioli. His dish tasted great and mine was good. There really wasn’t a sauce to it, and it needed salt. The chef came out and checked on the tables himself. I really liked that, it stands out from other higher end restaurants in the area. Overall I think this place will succeed! I would like to go back again.

Dinner Monday evening was FANTASTIC. The Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken is one of the best I’ve ever had, and certainly the best in Green Bay. The Chicken was spiced well, distinctive and not overpowering. Our server was attentive and offer good recommendations based on our interests. Sat with a nice view overlooking the Meyer Theatre, and will be a nice place for a dinner and show. Last week we stopped for appetizers. Excellent flatbread and seared tuna. Artisan cocktails were (too) delicious.

Came here for an anniversary dinner, we were greeted and sat right away. We did experience a minor issue with our server, however the manager was very kind and took over serving us for the remainder of our evening. You can tell the staff are passionate and excited to create a delightful experience for guests! We both ordered the steak & frites and a tiramisu which were great. The restaurant description stated they had a French-Mediterranean cuisine, however It seemed more like a standard steakhouse. The presentation of the food could be slightly better for a high end restaurant as well, but with time I hope this can be a popular place for the Green Bay area! It definitely has potential and I'll be back again!

Stopped in for the Grand Opening. We had the shareable "Mezze"...it was phenomenal! Looked beautiful and tasted divine! I'd order this as a meal. My husband had the Chicken Frangelico and said the chicken was super moist and well seasoned. My Chilean Salmon was wonderfully glazed and we really enjoyed our broccolini. My brother had the Espresso steak and says it was really good. The atmosphere was quiet but bright and welcoming. The staff had exceptional service and all smiles. I tried the Koolaid cocktail and let me tell you, its dangerously good. Took me back to childhood with a splash of adulthood 😍 I also tried the Ginger Mojito and im going to be best friends with this refreshing drink this summer! Loved it here and will definitely be returning to try other menu items!

They were out of diet soda. I asked for regular, never got it. Fries were really salty. We went for what was on the online menu. What we wanted was not on the actual menu. It was not busy, yet took over an hour to get our dinner.

I’m kind of surprised by the 5 star reviews. My husband and I ate there recently on a Friday night. We were worried about the dress code being strict and that we weren’t dressed appropriately, until we saw the hostess. She had a wrinkled flannel shirt on, baggy pants of some sort and platform chunky shoes. Our waiter was clumsy and awkward and forgot to bring a few things that we asked for, not because they were busy as there were very few people there that night at 6:30. As we were sitting there, we witnessed four women being seated and 15 minutes later they all got up and left. Not sure why. The food was mediocre. My peppercorn steak tasted like burnt pepper. And all these reviews that said Chef Kendra came to their table, leaves me perplexed. The only time we saw Chef Kendra, is when she ran to the hostess station because the hostess mysteriously disappeared. The $175 spent there, was definitely not worth it.

My husband and I went out to eat here for a nice night out, and we were SO happy with our whole experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and our server Abi was amazing! Appetizers:
Crabcakes: very tasty, liked the sauce and slaw
Blackened Tuna: rare, delicious. Not much else to add.
Bone Marrow: this was my first time trying bone marrow like this and not in a soup stock. Went over toast. I thought this was delightful! I understand why some of the folks at the table didnt like the gellatinous look, but that kind of thing doesnt bother me.
Entree: Ribeye with mashed potatos, soup of the day.
Ribeye: cooked as i asked(medium rare) seasoned well and went very well with the toasted onions on top.
Mashed potatos: of course they were good.
Soup of the day: I love tomato bisque, and I was delighted.
Atmosphere felt nice. Fancy but not too fancy.

From the second I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly face with upbeat attitude and seated by our wonderful hostess. Please recognize the hostess from tonight because she immediately set the tone for a perfect night.
Only to be followed by the best Bruschetta in town (and it’s not even close) and an amazing entrees! Our waitress was great attentive and professional.
Just as were closing our check we got greeted by the executive chef to ask us how our meal was. You can tell she is passionate about her craft and it definitely showed tonight . Please don’t walk run to this gem .

We recently celebrated a birthday at the Black and Tan Grille. We both had the Black and Tan and it was phenomenal! Chef Kendra was delightful as she explained the upcoming menu changes. The turtle cheesecake was delicious according to Cindy and I appreciated the knowledge of the staff as I require a gluten free diet. We look forward to dining here again in the near future!

I had the pleasure of dining at the Black and Tan Grille the other night, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I started with a delicious Caesar Salad that was perfectly dressed and full of flavor.
For my main course, I had the grilled salmon, which was an absolute delight. The pineapple black bean salsa added a unique and delightful twist, and the twisted arugula over forbidden black rice was a perfect complement. The flavors were a harmonious symphony on my taste buds, and the presentation was impeccable.
I couldn't help but save room for dessert, and it did not disappoint. The dessert was the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal.
The service at Black and Tan Grille was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure that every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch. I want to extend my compliments to Chef Kendra for crafting such a memorable meal.
Overall, I highly recommend Black and Tan Grille for a memorable dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and I can't wait to return for another exceptional meal.

We had a great time last Wednesday at Black & Tan. We had a larger group (10) and the server, Jessika (with a ‘k’) was on top of things. Glasses were never empty and we were never wanting. The Head Chef Kendra popped out a couple time. Once at the bar with our apps, to make some recommendations and again to check in the meal. Great experience.

We moved to Green Bay from Chicago about two months ago. We were a little worried we wouldn’t find the same level quality of food that we had in Chicago, but Kendra at Black and Tan (very happily) proved us wrong. This is the best meal I have had in Green Bay so far. Kendra, the Executive Chef, is every kind of wonderful and the food is out of this world fantastic. We cannot wait to come back and hope to become regulars!

On whim my boo and I decided to spend the night in Green Bay this past Saturday. We wanted to enjoy a nice dinner to accompany our lovely hotel. The Black and Tan was not our first choice, but I could not be more glad we landed there. Everything was fantastic. The Bruschetta was so interesting and flavorful, my steak was the most perfectly cooked filet minion I have ever had, mashed potatoes out of this world, but what REALLY won this meal for me was the soup. There is not a single bad thing to say about this restaurant. The ambiance was also fantastic. 1-10 DO RECCOMEND :)

I had clients in town for a Packer game. They were not from here and were having an impossible time finding a restaurant to seat 10 people on the Saturday before a home game. I made one call to Black and Tan and the hostess said that it would be difficult for a group that size on a busy night but they would make it work. I felt real bad when I had to call back and see if they could squeeze in an additional four (fourteen total!). Not only did they accommodate the whole group in one sitting but the food came out at the same time and was hot and delicious!
Thank you for the amazing food and phenomenal service!
I will always recommend that the clients of Own The Night LLC stop here for dinner!

Typically I tend to avoid niche restaurants but recently decided to give it a try based on a friend's recommendation and I must say, I don't think that I've ever had an experience quite like it.
The food was crisp, hot and bursting with flavor. The portions were on point. The entire staff was jovial and very knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu and you can just feel and taste the care put into every selection. You could see from their attitude that giving patrons a one of a kind food experience is as important as the food itself. Absolutely unique flavor concepts paired with a fun atmosphere, and the crab cakes, my word, such a rewarding end to a fantastic day. Bravo.
