This is a cute little place with excellent service! The staff was attentive and friendly, though I did feel they were a bit offended when I mentioned I didn’t like the coffee. Personally, I found it to have a strange taste—almost like it had Coffee Mate in it.

The food, however, was great! The pancakes were fluffy, the fruit was fresh, and the sausage and bacon were really good. The omelette was flavorful but a little overcooked, and the French toast was a bit too eggy for my taste. It’s worth noting that add-ons like onions to an omelette cost extra (around $2), so the price can add up.

Overall, I’d recommend this spot for the food and the cozy vibe—but maybe skip the coffee if you’re particular about it.

We’re visiting from out of town and wanted to find a good local spot to have breakfast. We decided to check out Blueberry Hilltop cafe based on Google reviews. We went on Saturday morning and it was pretty full but we didn’t wait long at all. We were greeted by 2 friendly young men as soon as we walked in the door and were seated right away. Our waitress was great, super friendly and very attentive. Our food came out quickly and was delicious with good portion sizes. Definitely recommend Blueberry Hilltop if you’re looking to grab some good breakfast and support a local owned business!

I had literally a half of a egg shell in my food, hash browns were raw, sausage was undercooked and I pointed it out to the owner. I didn't eat the meal and still had to pay. I've been here three times and each time the food was fantastic. The biscuits and gravy are so darn good. Our server was amazing and overall the food was good but we did have an issue with one of our meals. The steak was overcooked and we asked to order something else. The owner came out to speak to us about it, we were told “there’s nothing wrong with your steak, it’s cooked how you ordered it, there’s nothing I can do, you have to pay for it.” We didn’t feel it was fair to pay for an overcooked steak but the owner basically dismissed us, said nothing was wrong with it and offered us boxes. We didn’t even eat yet??? There were so many other routes/options she could’ve given us to make up for this experience but she chose to be rude and have poor customer service. I just felt very uncomfortable, I came here to have a good breakfast because I seen the reviews were good and was excited to try a new place out but the fact that her response was argumentative made this experience terrible. The waitress then asked us what happened to which we told her, she looked at the steak, cut into it and agreed that it was not made right, she would be upset too and went to talk to the owner again. We asked if she could have the owner bring the bill and when she came I asked if they could just take the steak off and we could pay for the rest of the meal and she said the most she could do was take a couple dollars off. My spouse didn’t agree and said he wasn’t going to pay for it. She said “if you’re not paying for it, I’m calling the cops.” It never had to get this far and she had plenty opportunities to make this experience right. She could’ve offered something else. He didn’t even eat the meal, he took a couple bites of the steak and left hungry. When I was at the cashiers stand to pay, I set my wallet down and the owner picked it up and moved it. I thought that was very disrespectful and weird. She could’ve simply asked me to move it but the energy I got already made me uncomfortable so I just brushed it off. I told her “I just had a baby, I’m a stay at home mom, I came out to have a good breakfast because your reviews were great but the way you just treated us was rude and disrespectful” to which she replied “I didn’t ask for your opinion.” Very weird to me how careless and disrespectful someone could be to their customers, when customers are the ones that got you where you are. I’ve never had such poor customer service anywhere. I also find is verrry funny and weird that all her negative reviews has a response back from her “funny, I haven’t seen you here” even if the profile has no photo.

Restaurant looks nice and homey. Waitress Marlyn was amazing, however the owner was extremely rude and dismissive. I ordered a steak and egg special cooked medium and received it medium well if not well done. After stating I was unhappy and would like to order something else, the told me that I was incorrect and it was indeed cooked medium. Told me that she could do nothing for me besides taking a couple dollars off my bill instead of removing it and allowing me to order something I actually would enjoy. I am supremely dissatisfied. When telling the owner how we felt about how she treated us, she stated “I didn’t ask for your opinion!” As an owner of a business, my opinion is essential. Put your ego aside and treat your customers like you actually appreciate their business! This was my first time here and I can guarantee it will be the last!

My girlfriend and I went to the restaurant around midday on Saturday the 16th. Cozy and quaint, which is what a diner should be. We were seated quickly, but that is when it went wrong. After 5 minutes no one came to our table to even offer drinks. Then another table, who was sat after us, was getting their order taken. An employee was leaning on the back of our booth the whole time and overheard us talking about no one coming, after seeing people seated after us being served we left and I expressed my concerns via their Facebook page. Instead of addressing the issue, the business page blocked me. I have attached photos below. Beware of this place, they clearly don’t care enough about concerns to address them, as noted by the prior negative reviews and their comments. I’d like to have the owner reach out and resolve the issue to give them another chance, but I doubt that will happen.

Left a great review of weeks ago, but now just updating. Always had breakfast at this restaurant. I have tried the eggs Benedict, the chorizo skillet, the pancakes, French toast, the list goes on and every thing I’ve had for breakfast is extremely good. , Could be a little hotter , as the last couple breakfasts I had to have them teheat but they actually made it Over for me, which was nice, but it’s better when you get to eat your meal with the person you went with. Add lunch there finally I ordered a Gyro and fries and soup. The stuffed pepper soup was extremely salty. To the point where I could not eat it. The Gyro meat I would not recommend it seemed almost rubbery not the type you cut off a Spicket it was a very strange texture. Wouldn’t order eggroll there ever again. Now I’m moving onto my last
10/ 10/24 first off. I just seen a review with two stars saying that the person was claustrophobic because of the small space. Are you kidding me? The restaurant is in a strip mall you’re not going to a Woodmans size restaurant!. It is not that small you’re not in a box to eat your food. It is a perfect size restaurant nice family style café!

And for my review—, this is definitely my new favorite place! I am totally picky about my food and usually everything I get here is absolutely delicious. I love that. My food is hot. I love that it is fresh and the service is excellent. Definitely recommend this restaurant I have only had breakfast there so far, the eggs Benedict are by far the best I’ve had and I have had eggs Benedict and just about every restaurant I’ve ever been to. Also the chorizo skillet absolutely delicious. Everything is good and like I said it is hot and the service is great big things are necessary.

I went here twice with my family. Once with my older brother and once with my two sisters. Each time I was I felt claustrophobic because of the small space. The servers were nice but didn’t seem to have a lot of patience. From my understanding, it seems to be a family led restaurant, I remember seeing a boy around my age hosting, he was funny. Anyways, the food was subpar and not something I would recommend to my family again. The prices don’t help either, I spent around 30 bucks on french toast and some sort of weird smoothie that tasted and smelled off putting. The atmosphere felt cold and uninviting. Despite all that, the owner (I presume that’s who she was) smiled at me and told me to drive safe with my sisters so that’s nice at least. To finish off, sorry guys I do not feel like spending nearly 30 dollars for food and service that is mediocre IF that.

If you need to raise your process then raise them, stop with the 2.6% “fee.” Do I get a discount if I don’t use the “complimentary” salt and pepper on the table, or bring my own silverware? I went here about a month ago on a rainy Saturday. I had been excited to try their gyro breakfast skillet as this place had very high reviews. They had a breakfast burger as a special. I decided to get that instead because it came with soup on a cold day. I figured I could get the gyro skillet another time, but bleh. The burger was so bad that I will not be back. The burger was cooked well done, which takes away from the flavor. But at the same time, the hash brown on it was barely cooked. No crunch at all. I got upcharged 75 cents to switch the bacon out for the avocado -which I said was fine - but that "avocado" on it was nothing better than a tiny bit of avocado salsa that you'd get at the store. The jalapeños seemed from a jar as they were wet. The fries were soggy. I guess the tomato on the burger was alright. The soup was okay, but tasted suspiciously like Campbell's chunky soup. The people up front were super friendly, but not much could make up for how bad the food tasted. I have been very amazed by the overall food in Racine since moving here about 6 weeks ago -Olde Madrid, Asiana, Blue Bear, Nemo & Fogg, and Ms. Betty's, but not at Blueberry Hilltop Cafe. Part of me still wants to go back for the gyro breakfast skillet to give it another chance, but I just can't get myself to do it.

I was in breakfast heaven the food was delicious and the service by Erica was excellent! Coodles to the chef, I like the fact that you could see he put great care in preparing our food! I will definitely come back and bring others with me! 😜
