I recently dined at this establishment and, unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The food was mediocre at best; I've had better meals elsewhere, even at similar price points. While the service was commendable—prompt and attentive waitstaff—the overall ambiance left much to be desired.

As a vegetarian, the overpowering smell of lamb inside was particularly off-putting. Strangely, from the street, the enticing aroma of flavorful masala was inviting, but once inside, it was overshadowed by an unpleasant scent reminiscent of rotten meat. This stark contrast greatly affected the dining atmosphere.

In summary, though the service was excellent, the quality of the food and the disturbing indoor smell detracted from the overall experience.

Finally got takeout here, will come back and now really want to try the lunch buffet as well. If I’m honest the butter chicken didn’t look appetizing at all, the color was a bit weird and it had like a mealy texture. The chicken was a mix of over cooked and dry. The flavor was completely non existent and despite requesting medium heat, there was no spice at all. Honestly seemed like I got served old food. The naan was in better shape, but on the thinner/drier side. Unfortunately this all will be going in the garbage.

This place is seriously delicious. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is quiet during the week and pleasant even when they have an event. Spice levels can vary a lot, but overall, I've always enjoyed the food here and highly recommend.

I ate the mushroom chicken this time, my husband had the lamb mango curry, and my mother in law had the fish masala. We brought our picky one year old, and he really enjoyed the kids non vegetarian meal (which was chicken, fries, and chicken masala).

We received the best service one could ask for. The staff was very attentive, and our glasses were always full. We ordered the cauliflower and chicken wings as appetizers. The vegetable was tasty and spicy, and the marinated-to-perfection wings came sizzling on a hot plate. Our entrees were the Bindhi Masala, where the okra, peppers and onions all beautifully complimented each other in the curry sauce, the Baingan Bartha, and the Mushroom Masala which was creamy and bursting with a sweet and savory flavor. It's a decent Indian Restaurant in the area. A friend of ours recommended this place. Some of their items are pretty good but didn't care for their buffet.
For take out we ordered: samosa, butter chicken, chicken tandoor 1/2, garlic naan and chai. Got 2 samosas for one order. They were moist and had flavor, not like the regular frozen samosas. Butter chicken was finger licking good. Generous amount of gravy and chicken pieces. Got 4 pieces of legs and thighs for 1/2 tandoor. It was good too. The chai wasn't up to the mark.
The staff there were really helpful and greeted us well. They do take some time to prepare your order. But it wasn't too bad. Street side parking. Will come back again.

I did the delivery had the delivery done quick bite and actually presentable food but I noticed almost sorry. I ordered Chaat paapri Too many crackers just too many. Chicken wings good presentation but Meat wasn’t cooked. All that great and just very mediocre. Pani Puri - no taste in water. I would just suggest them a little bit more taste in the food would go a long way. I’m visiting from Houston, and I am very disappointed in the taste. But for presentation, I will give full points. for pani puri water. Marinate the chicken wings in masala for longer time and cook it little bit more meat did not feel like it was cooked enough. This is just a constructive criticism hope. hope you make it better and your restaurant flourishes. And that you do good. For now I will not be ordering anything.

When I say this is hands down THE BEST Indian food in Milwaukee and any surrounding area, I am so serious lol. My husband Arin and myself have become regulars, this food is so good we are guilty of getting this restaurant multiple times a week 😳 😭.
Listen- I have lived all over the United States- I've lived in Oakland California, Chicago, Indianapolis, Englewood Florida, and although I am an American who was raised on meat and potatoes, I cannot stand American cuisine and have been eating "ethnic" food for most of my life. My first husband was a refugee from Burma and he worked as a chef, I got into all types of cuisines but Indian and Thai hold a very special place.
People come from Illinois to eat here, I have met a few of them.
The beef, mutton, & goat, are so tender, they are to die for 🥹. The meat flakes apart, every time. Not one time have I ordered a red meat and it was not perfect- the meat is extremely tasty and the beef/mutton Bhuna .... 🤤. If you like chicken you are in for just as much of a treat. Think premium high quality chicken only. None of that crap gristle weird meat chicken that we typically find at foreign take out. No, this is very high quality, it is stewed it cookies until it is very tender and shredded, the taste is very good. I do tend to ask for my chicken "well done" when I do order it at any places that have these types of dishes however.

If you try anything, you need to try the Chaat. Their chaats are very large, they are perfectly put together, they are delicious, and I feel GOOD about eating a ten dollar Chaat with some garlic naan for dinner on nights I just want something light, sorry, simple, but delicious and nourishing. I can't stand feeling hungry after I eat when I go to places like McDonald's, or feeling like I didn't even know what I put into my stomach. This is chickpeas, potatoes, lentils,garam, yogurt, garlic, etc these are things I feel very good about eating and this food is not bad for you lol. I am saying this because I went in a diet this year and I lost 40 pounds whilst still ordering and eating out from here all the time because it is well rounded, excellent food.

The service is outstanding as well, they also have a store in the restaurant and it has very good teas and sweets. If you eat here you will go back many times lol.

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat after trying a few places and having things not work out. We arrived at 4 pm however they didn’t open until 4:30 pm. I decided to give them a call and they confirmed they would open at 4:30 pm so we decided to wait. All I can say is that it was well worth the wait. We ordered the lamb chops for an appetizer and they were wonderful.

I ordered the fish masala with shrimp added and medium spice and boy was it delicious. My wife had the special Bollywood biryani and she loved it. The service was good, the environment was great, and the food was top-notch. Whenever we stop in Milwaukee we will make sure to stop by Bollywood Grill and get some great eats.

This indian food is easiest the best in Milwaukee and beyond. I've been to many Indian foods restaurants. This is not one of those cheap shoddy places that cuts corners or uses subpar meat.

The meat is high quality, stewed until tender, meticulously pulled for the dishes, the vegetables and ingredients are all obviously fresh and high quality. The chicken is so good.... Some dishes use dark meat and i was not so sure about that because usually places do not do well with dark meat. This is different. I have never had such well made indian food and the restaurant is very clean and hygiene. Even more crazy is the prices are affordable they are not too expensive. Their manchurian is great. Try this place you won't regret it.

We had a very bad experience from a waitress, don't want to mention her name, I don't want to spoil her career. I just want the restaurant people to know about this and ask them to treat the customers well. She was very rude, almost scolded us, gave an irritated expression as soon as we entered the restaurant and when we went and sat at an empty table, she said that customers must wait in the lobby and some one should assist them to go in and then somebody can attend to us. It was ridiculous because there were hardly any people inside the restaurant, i have never seen any such rules and more than anything else, that is no way to behave with paying customers. I ate here on a Friday for lunch buffet. I started with appetizers- papdi chat, samosa and bread pakora. As soon as I took their first bite, it did not feel fresh to me and tasted funny. I switched to main course and tried their chicken curry and the chicken was not cooked fully and the gravy definitely tasted like it was watered down. Slightly after my lunch here I started feeling sick and ended throwing up all night later to be diagnosed with food poisoning. Not sure if it was just the day I ate here but was definitely not a good experience.

This restaurant stores meat for long, I was there on weekend.Chicken and mutton(goat) curries are spoiled meat cooked first moment I had a piece in my mouth I have to split it because spoiled meat is been cooked im sure.
As an Indian I know how a chicken or goat curries. I requested the receptionist in the front that the meat is spoiled and I’m surprised to listen that the she said other people are eating. Then I realized she realizes too that it is an old meat and all their customers are Americans if any Indian eats this food they will recognize.
It’s shame on the restaurant to serve this type of food who doesn’t know the taste of it they will think that it is how the Indian food taste like.

I just went here on Saturday, October 21st around 8pm, with my cousin and her girlfriend. All three of us love Indian, and they were visiting so I told them let's try here, as I had yet to of been here before myself. To say it was a smart decision, was an understatement. First off, the women that were working the floor that night were the sweetest and most helpful. Our host was great, our waitress was great, and the older lady working with them, she was such like a mom. Very soft spoken and kindhearted, she wore the prettiest headscarf.
Now the food was phenomenal. We got two orders of garlic naan to go with our entrees. My company got the Chicken Jalfrazie and Chicken Madras, I tried both, and they both were delicious, but the Jalfrazie tasted better to me personally. I ordered something new for myself, mango chicken, and it might be my new favorite Indian dish. I always get medium spice level when I order Indian, and with the sweetness of the mango, it was balanced and seasoned so well. Definitely give Bollywood a try for Indian cuisine in Milwaukee, between the staff and the food, you will not be disappointed.

Their food is halal according to Their staff.

My go to food is their special biriyani in Medium spice level. I love it. The lamb and beef biriyani are also good. I requested to add potato to the biriyani and it was really good. The biryani price is really reasonable and the amount is good. 2 person can easily share one Biryani.

Their Dahi vada is topnotch, best one in Milwaukee I had so far.

I also tried the mutton rogan josh but it wasnt that good, also the amount is low considering the price.

Their butter chicken is good, so is the gulab jamun, gajar ka halwa and bhatoora.

The worst food. The curry is literally colored water. None of the servers know when to bring out the food. They make us wait 30 minutes than bring out the appetizer, main course and desert at the same time, so by the time we get to the food, some of it is cold. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.

I love ordering take out from here. I've made a goal to try every vegetarian dish on the menu. They all taste so good it's difficult to pick a favorite. Try the dal tadka or Mutter paneer.

If you're ordering takeout, order directly from their website. It's has the most options.

Ok, look, do I know a lot about Indian food? Not really. Do I get to eat it a lot? Also not really. Was I craving some chicken tikka masala for my birthday lunch? Absolutely. I also got some garlic naan and fish pakora to go with it. Everything was very delicious and my water cup was never empty! The tamarind sauce with the pakora was also one of my new favorite things. Highly recommend checking this place out. Thank you!

We ordered a take out - Mutton curry, Chicken tikka masala, Garlic Naan, Aloo paratha, Onion Kulcha. The only item we got fresh was Rice. Everything else was old food with spoiled taste.

Okay this place is delicious 😭 the flavors are everything right and the naan is so delicious. I’ve gotten the lamb biryani—the lamb was so tender—and the tikka masala and both were delicious. The rice is SO GOOD. My husband has gotten the butter chicken and the chicken vindaloo. We dream about this food. We crave it on the regular. The portions are also generous. I can make meal last three meals (I just have to attempt to replicate the meat the third time). Highly recommend.

Went here on March 20th, actually was supposed to go to another Indian buffet for lunch however they stopped doing that. NO REGRETS! I'm glad we came here. The food was delicious, staff always making sure food was out and stocked, place was clean. Special shout-out to our waitress Nina (Neena, not sure of spelling) she was great! She explained everything and was very friendly.

There were enough options to try if you're new to Indian cuisine. I will definitely be returning.

I used to really like this restaurant, but its meal quality and customer service have dimished over the years. It has gone from "good, wholesome Indian food" to "McDonald's-like version of Indian food." Plus, nowadays, the restaurant employs a staff who seemingly does not treat its "non-East Sider" customers well. I placed a take out order for pick up at a specific time. When I arrived, I introduced myself to one of the staff, and she was immediately taken aback. I was told that my order was not ready and to have a seat in the waiting area. There were no other customers in the area besides myself, so I thought that my wait would be brief. During my wait time, I saw take out orders, other than mine being placed on the counter and prepared for pick up. No one gave me an update on my order or even spoke to me. I had to track someone down to get some assistance. So, after more than 20 mimutes of waiting, they brought out my order.
Now, my family and I are used to the smaller portions that are served at Indian restaurants, but when the quality of that food is lacking, it is beyond disappointing. Our meal (Chicken Palak and Chana Masala) was a
bland-freezer-to-table-work-a-day version of what used to be an exotic and enjoyable treat--even our ginger naan was nothing more than some soggy, greasy, butter-soaked pita bread that they probably picked up from the grocery store...(a few weeks ago, we had Chicken Tikka Masala that tasted more like tomato soup than Garam Masala). Plus, the meals were pretty pricey,too! A pricey meal of poor quality coupled with poor customer service only adds insult to injury! I love Indian food and, as a consumer and a respectful person, I expect to be treated respectfully by the businesses that I patronize...So...I am being kind when I give Bollywood Grill 1-star (only because the younger staffers were apologetic) and I hope that Bollywood Grill will become a better version of myself...
