This could be because I do have a very developed palate, but they're pasta lacked salt and the sauce lacked seasoning period...canned tomato sauce with a little basil doesn't cut it. Rao's would be a better choice than this. The ravioli was gummy and borderline inedible. Frozen meatballs and mediocre Italian sausage. Saving grace was the soft bread stick, though those are bought as well. Not sure I'll be back.

Have not eaten here since I was a kid. Ordered online for a 7:10pm pick up. Didn't get my food until 7:27. Got home, opened my spaghetti with meat sauce and it had a big chunk of meat on top that was brown on one side and raw on the other. Rest of the meat was crunchy (over cooked). The sauce was good but wouldn't order again with meat. Pizza was underwhelming, a little bit of sauce with too much cheese and not enough pepperoni. Staff was nice and they weren't understaffed. Place was clean.

Reserved appr 40 seats for a family gathering following my parents' burial. The tables were ready, the staff was ready - the service was great and the food was fantastic! We had a partial wall separating our group in two, which made it difficult to converse and see everyone, but everything else was outstanding.

I am disappointed with the changes , since the new management. The ravioli used to be the best in the state , maybe even the country . Now the chicken and cheese has no chicken and it is gooey. There’s so much sauce it was running off of the plate. I understand saving money , but not at the expense of quality !

Best Italian food in northwest WI! Grew up going here and so happy to see it thriving and back under the ownership of the original family that started it in 1957! The ravioli is pillowy and delicious (try the cheese and raisin, it’s addicting), Italian sausage and cavatelli are awesome too. They have gluten free options as well. And they have beer and wine now! Great all around nostalgic family restaurant, Bona is an absolute must visit when in the area!!

The owners really bring that 'family-owned' feel-if the family hated each other and didn't know how to run a restaurant. And not only that, the chef disrespected a waitress in front of all her coworkers. Family owned business at its finest.

Me and my family love coming here. I love there chicken Ravioli and my family loves the chicken and Raisin ravioli I personally don't like that but the caviltiles or however you spell it I love them. The sausage instead of sausage give me pasta, white sauce instead of red sauce indeed, and most of all the breadsticks delicious. 5 STARS!

Last weekend we had them cater a graduation party. I called to check in on order on Thursday, there was a glitch and I wasn’t on the list but they assured me it would be done. They accommodated my pick up time. They even sent roasters. I would highly recommend Bona Casa for catering etc. I can’t say enough good things!!

Our neighbors told us about Bona Casa 9 years ago when we moved into the area. We are so sorry that we hadn't went there until now. The ravioli is amazing (and I am not a big fan of ravioli), yummy italian sausage (a little kick with wonderful flavor), and the red sauce is simple but really good. Very friendly seevice. We carried out so can't speak of the dining room.

Excellent food. Was disappointed in the server. We ordered family style and she didn't bring out half of the food. We had to ask to get our ravioli, and we never got a dessert or our bread sticks. When your paying over 20 dollars a plate for children I at least expect to get all the items that dinner is supposed to come with.

It was a Extraordinary Experience!!! First time visiting this Establishment and pleasantly surprised. The Pesto was Perfect and the Amatriciana was also perfect. Ravioli was big and packed full of Meat and Cheese. Cavatelli Noodles perfect and delicious, paired with Pesto and Sausage. The Meat (both Meatball and Sausage) were a taste buds gift. I would put this food up against the "High End" Restraunts and they would get my vote. Kudos to Bona Casa for bringing Italy to Wisconsin. 🥳👏🥳👏🥳👏🥳👏

We ordered the large sampler plate. While it was delicious, the amount of tomato sauce masked the flavors of the ravioli. Really liked the sausage. Service was good, although servers need to know the wines offered.

The food just isn't the same anymore. I've tried it a few times, the sauce is different, the ravioli are smaller. There is some herb or seasoning that's been added and I just find it hard to get food from here. Staff is great and all its just the food has changed.. I've been going here for over 20 years and used to get food a couple times a month, can't do it anymore. Why fix it if it ain't broke?

Been coming here since I was a kid. Have tried several times since opening under the newest owners, both dine in and take out. The sauce is a bit less bright in color and it's been more watered down with less of a flavorful taste. Also, one of the times my ravioli seemed to be falling apart. * 2024: Have tried it again, but still inconsistent in sauce flavor and ravioli/noodles are either overcooked or under cooked, seemed to be no in between. Will keep giving it more time/chances as I've loved this place my whole life.

April 2024- Just ate there again, food was alright. My biggest complaint was my sauce was hot but my ravioli was luke-warm at best underneath. They did seem cooked, just not hot. =/

April 2025- Dined in and took a hot take out home. My take home meal was WAY hotter than my meal I had in house. The ravioli seemed to be cooked alright, a couple were a bit watery cutting into them. No extra sauce given separately but my plate had more sauce then usual. I really don't care for the new plates, seem to be cast iron with a weird texture and my sauce kinda tasted weird at first. Service was good.

Best Italian food in the area. Love the raisins and cheese raviolis with white sauce. You don't taste the raisins, but they add flavor and texture to them. The service is great and gave us some history of the place. Nice atmosphere with old time photos on walls from the original days.

Not at all what it used to be and I have been going for 45 years. Tonight was strike two and we won't be going back. Undercooked sausage, ravioli that spewed water when cut into, and a salad that was just a pile of lettuce. It's too bad.

went there for there deal. ordered every part of the meal and didn’t get the appetizer. we waited for very long which is expected but never got refills on drinks or asked if we needed anything. didn’t even get straws and had to ask 3x to get boxes. asked if we could get some amount off the bill since we didn’t get what the add advertised but they wouldn’t do anything for us even though they were the ones to mess it up.

Not the same as it once was. Since the new owners have come in, the food quality and portion size has decreased. The customer service has suffered as well, although that may be just because 'customer service' across all industries is on the decline. Between the 20 years I have been coming here and over 40 years my wife has been coming here, we've never been turned away for service until this past weekend. It was close to closing time, but we've come before even closer to closing time and were still offered a table.

So disappointed. Not even close to Italian food. Doughy pasta, flavorless sauce. Very limited "Italian" menu. The side salad didn't even make it. Large portions! We waited for at least 10 minutes before anyone came to the table after we were seated. Then someone said we were figuring it out and walked away. Okay. When we did get a waitress, I ordered GF spaghetti with sausage. To my surprise, when I got it, the noodles were in 1/2" - 1" pieces. I finally got the waitresses' attention. When I asked her about it, she replied that it was the way the cook does it. I wasn't even able to tell her the noodles were cold. I didn't eat a lot of it - asked for a box to go. Told the girl at the counter taking the money. She said we should have said something. Hard to do when no one comes back to the table.

Something has changed with the food and I can’t eat it anymore. I’ve tried a few times now since the new owners trying to give them time to work out the kinks, but I think I’m giving up. The sauce is not good anymore, the raviolis have been chewy and doughy every time, way too much gooey cheese in those raviolis, I think even the raisins are different. The white sauce tastes like absolutely nothing at all and it used to be a yummy pepper jack sauce. The owners are great and the staff is amazing. Absolutely love what they have done inside the building. But sadly I just can’t eat the food.

If you get warm fuzzy feelings from family owned diners with warm lighting and ads on their red plastic cups then this place is going to trigger a lot of memories for you.

Bona Casa is known mostly for their raisin ravioli and thankfully you can order extra frozen ravioli to go because this stuff is easy to cook and just odd enough to make you wanna try it--and you'll probably love it.

A word of caution, I HIGHLY recommend asking for LIGHT SAUCE because you will get a lot otherwise. Personally, I like their ravioli with sauce I make at home but the atmosphere of the place is peak 90s family dining so dine in at least one time.

Cost wise you will get a decent amount of food for your money and things should run about 16.00 per person if you're getting a soda and large ravioli dinner which includes soup, salad, or cottage cheese as well as a meat side of sausage or meatballs. It is a sizable amount to be sure.

They have online ordering available for to-go options and are wheelchair accessible. In terms of stimulation and sensory levels, this is a relatively low sensory place with the loudest area being by the kitchen, of course.

This place is legendary! My favorite is the cheese and raisin ravioli. Don't knock it until you're tried it. Recently picked up an order of frozen pasta and it did not disappoint. Love that option because I was able to share it with family 700 miles away. Was a Friday night when I picked up so it was super busy so I'll forgive them for unintentionally ignoring me in favor of in person guests for a little while. If that's literally the only disappointment ever had, know you can count on this place!

My husband and I decided to try Bona Casa. We were hungry for some Authentic Italian food. We tried some so called deep fried raviolis for an appetizer. Not impressed, then ordered our main course, I ordered spaghetti w/meatballs. My husband ordered half and half which you had several options to choose from. So he orederd spaghetti & meatballs, along with Cavilleri. Meat balls for both were crunchy outside and ok inside. His Cavilleri he described as slimy. Spaghetti was bland, like from a can no flavor. So if you want mediocre then this is your spot.

Our food was a disappointment 😔 we both had Chicken and cheese Ravioli the pasta was mushy and the cheese was tasteless and goey, cheaper cheese and there was no chicken! The tomato sauce has changed and we didn't like it! Our Salad was wilted and they changed the French Dressing the homemade french dressing is far superior!! That's what set's them apart from other places, anyone can order a premade dressing!! We have been there a few times since new ownership and was disappointed each time! Before this we've been going there for many many years and never been disappointed! My rule is if you wouldn't eat it than don't serve it to others!!! We probably won't be back! Service was great! I always show up to Bona Casa on an empty stomach and eat too much food. If this was closer to my hometown I'd have 0$ in my bank account and weigh 400LBs because I would be eating their pasta everyday all day.

The downfall is the website. If you're not going to take reservations on the website, don't have it available on the website. That is a really big turn off.

Nice fresh pasta, just wish the served beer. The new owners did a nice job updating the dining room. The salad we had was a little stale. But the ravioli still tasted as good as always.

We were on the way back home and saw the sign that remembered they just had the ribbon opening. We got two small split orders of the different raviolis and spaghetti. Both sauces were awesome The raviolis are not your store-bought pinwheel cut. If you get a full order and you eat it all you are a monster. They'll have their dining room open next week and still waiting on their liquor license from the township.

This is a go to place for great Italian food with such a history. Friendly clean and smells delicious when you walk in the door You can order frozen meals and also pick up warm meals through this week.

Good luck to you all at Bona Casa

I recently had the privilege to enjoy Bona Casa to go and it exceeded my expectations!

If your experience with ravioli has been limited to the packages in the case at your local grocery store, prepare to be blown away. Bona Casa raviolis are extremely tender pasta wrapped around a ton of fillings. I was turned up my nose when I heard about the cheese and raisin, but after trying it, I am a fan. They are cheesy with just a hint of sweet that compliments the red sauce. (Do yourself a favor and give it a try before you decide that you don't like them)
The chicken and cheese is also great with lots of flavor.

The homemade sausage was a great compliment to the ravioli with just a hint of heat.

Thank you for a wonderful meal - glad you are back!
