we ordered chicken with potatoes and asparagus, for some reason the ten strands of asparagus got their own xtra large container. While the lonely small chicken and 4 mini potatoes sat in their own. The Brussel sprout salad is just not good? $71 dollars ordering delivery.. can’t y’all at least try to care about take out orders? This was actually disturbing, I’ve never felt so completely robbed ordering food. Wow. Ordered at 5:45.. that’s not even the dinner rush what’s the excuse and how does a manager see the abysmal food going out in 5 separate huge plastic containers. Absolutely the worst order out experience of my entire life.

We have eaten here many times and with this experience we will not be back.my wife ordered the Mahi Mahi with shrimp and received scallops instead, she first tried a bite and they were raw in the middle, we told our server and she talked to the cook and said she misread the order and they cooked her a piece of Mahi Mahi and it was totally raw in the middle as well, there is no excuse for this and although we were not charged for my wife's meal, the manager hid in the back, no apology or anything, it ruined our whole day and the weekend because my wife was in a foul mood the entire weekend.

We came in for lunch and the food was excellent. The presentation of our food (the Salmon and the Lily’s Chicken) was beautiful!!! Nick was our server (we always request him when we come in) and he was wonderful - as always! The hostess (Emily) was very kind and welcoming - as always! The other staff member (David) was also kind. Those three always seem to be working when we come in for lunch and can tell they have a good teamwork between the three of them.

Very disappointed...we have been coming here for many years and the last few visits have not been so good. There was hardly any patrons there and after we were seated we had to ask the hostess for drinks. Once we ordered it took a bit and then my mashed potatoes came out without butter and the broccoli was close to raw. Very sad...this place used to be a jumping place with standing room only and servers that were on it like lightening...not sure what has happened. We likely will not return.

I am not one to complain-but this is the first time I’ve had a bad restaurant experience. The restaurant was quite empty, our server was polite. Our food took forever to come out-like 45 minutes-we waited forever between the appetizer and dinner. Appetizer was excellent-the tuna. But our dinners-my mahi-mahi was fine and warm, but the shrimp were overcooked and cold, my lobster tail overcooked and lukewarm. My husband’s scallops were overcooked and also lukewarm. Bonefish is usually one of our favorite places to go and we haven’t been in several years-I was really shocked and disappointed-and it was for my birthday. It seems like the quality has really gone downhill. I hope it’s not the case-I’ll give it one more try as it’s one of my favorite places to go-but if it’s the same experience next time then I know that some things there have changed and I won’t go back again. Hopefully it was just an off night- but that really shouldn’t happen in this business if you want to keep a good reputation.

Last Saturday, Celebrating our grandmothers 98th birthday. We called the day before and they didn’t have our reservation when we arrived. Luckily it was not crowded. Bonefish Grill is our go to place for celebrations. In the past, the food has been consistently good but last Saturday it was not. Three people from our party ordered shrimp and scallops. Independently all had stated that the shrimp were tough and tasteless. My grandma couldn’t eat hers. Another person ordered the salmon which was very hard and way overcooked. When the dishes were brought out they came at different times so the people with food were waiting. Asked the server and another person for a refill and it not come for about 10 minutes. Service was super slow. No one wanted to complain during the celebration so it would not ruin our time. We have never experienced this before at Bonefish Grill. It was very disappointing.

inally made it to Martini Monday and a time was NOT had. I walked in and was barely greeted. The wait was estimated at 20 minutes, but I didn’t make a reservation so that was fine. 40 minutes later and still waiting, a seat at the bar opened up so I took it. I had to ask to have the counter wiped off. The bartender said she couldn’t reach my area so she asked if she could hand me the towel. Honestly, that didn’t even bother me. I ordered a drink at 6:45ish. Then nothing. The bartender never came back over to me. Finally at 7:10, I asked to be moved to a table in hopes of getting service. I didn’t want to take my frustrations out on the waitress, but I was definitely highly annoyed at this point. Then, now that I’m ordering food, they’re out of the blackened chicken egg rolls! Lol icing on the cake. The waitress offered to send someone over to talk with me. No one ever came. She followed up, asking if someone stopped by. Still, no one ever came. Guess they didn’t think I earned a table visit. I don’t think the manager cared anyway because I’m pretty sure he’s the one who I talked to when I asked to be moved. At least the watermelon martini was delicious and the highlight of my night. I love a good drink special, but not sure if I’ll be going back anytime soon.

Headed to dinner after a day of cleaning up after a major storm without electricity and sat at the bar with a seasoned server named David, who made us feel welcome, used our names after introductions were made and ensured we felt valued. We had one of the specials, a black cod with crabmeat. It was one of the best meals I’ve had. I almost went back the next night.

The only negative I could possibly say is that it was a bit noisy. The server was great and the food was delicious. I had a cup of corn chowder with lump crab and then the surf and turf, filet and lobster tail. Both were excellent and cooked to my liking.

Extremely disappointed by the service.

Our recent visit to Bonefish Grill in Brookfield began on a disappointing note and, unfortunately, was marked by inconsistent service throughout the evening.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, we informed the hostess that we were meeting someone who was already seated. Rather than offering to help locate our party, she replied, “I don’t know where they sat down, but you can go and find them.” This lack of effort and professionalism was surprising and felt incredibly dismissive, especially considering it is a basic part of the hostess role to assist guests in finding their table. It immediately set a sour tone for the evening.

Our server, Nicholas B., did little to improve the experience. While taking our order, he abruptly grabbed the menus from our hands before we had even finished speaking. After placing our order, Nicholas never returned to inform us of any wait times or to check on us at all. When we asked for items or had questions, he would quickly walk off, leaving us feeling rushed and dismissed. His demeanor came off as condescending and inattentive.

What made the experience more frustrating was the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty, with only about four tables occupied, yet it still took over an hour for our food to arrive. There was no explanation, no apology, and no update at any point during that wait.

When we finally addressed our concerns with Nicholas directly, he scoffed and behaved as though we were in the wrong for saying anything. Thankfully, after this conversation, he did become more attentive. We appreciated the improvement, although it felt a bit too late.

Oddly enough, another server who wasn’t even assigned to our table showed far more initiative, checking on us and offering support when Nicholas did not. His professionalism and kindness were the highlight of an otherwise underwhelming evening.

The food itself was good, and the ambiance was pleasant, but the service left much to be desired. With such a light crowd, there was no reason for the delays or the dismissive behavior. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as the customer experience should never feel like an afterthought, especially when it could be so easily improved with basic attentiveness and courtesy.

Unfortunately, due to the overall poor experience, we will not be returning to this establishment.

Our waitress was pretty attentive, but I believe the issue with the wait was on the cooks' end of things. The place seems to be more upscale in pictures but is not as high quality in person. We had Edwin as a server tonight and for being the first time at a Bonefish Grill, he set the bar high for his co workers. We had great food and some laughs with him that made us feel welcome. Very professional and knowledgeable on the food and was able to read our group vibe very well to carry on conversation and have some laughs when appropriate. This used to be our fish restaurant of choice and I have tried twice in the past 30 days or so and it is not good. New menu has resulted in Service and quality to have changed.

My most recent experience is below:

The waiter we had was quite rude and difficult. When my dining partner asked for no potatoes the waiter kept asking which starch did he want, to which dining partner explained that he didn’t want any starch. The waiter made a visibly shocked face.

My dining partner ordered the bourbon glazed salmon, which came swimming in sauce - definitely not a glaze. He asked for the Brussel sprouts and we told him that the vegetables would be fine as well, the waiter spent the time arguing with me and saying he only has brussel sprouts on “here”. He said this several times when I tried to ask what that meant and he finally just said ok since he would not explain what he was trying to do but in the end we didn’t get the vegetables. Most shocking was when the food arrived, my dining partner found a large piece of wood in his brussel sprouts.

We informed the waiter and he told us it was an herb, this was an inch long - definitely not an herb. We didn’t even get an apology, no visit from a manager - nothing. His only attempt to resolve it was to take $3 off. Totally unacceptable.

We used to really enjoy coming to your restaurant. Not sure what has happened but it’s bad.

We haven't been here for a while. I love smoked anything, food, of course, but, I recently heard about "smoked cocktails". Bartender Dave made me the best Smoked Old Fashion! As far as we know, our very 1st enjoyment of Bang Bang Shrimp was at BF Grill in Destin, FL. about 18 years ago. Since then, everyone copies it. Wow! BF is still the BEST! After we enjoyed our awesome and very unique Unicorn Fish entree, upon leaving, GM/Owner Jim, took a minute to ask about our visit. Rare these days when management or owners are that committed to patron satisfaction. We promised to be back within a couple weeks.

Made reservations for 6pm on mother's day, waited until 7 pm to be seated. Then was told if we order our food right now,7:05 pm, I would be 1=1/2hrs to get our food. Talked to the manager and was told they were severely under staffed. Not only that, but some waitresses would not take extra tables. Manager looked overworked and like his nerves were spent.
The time is currently 8:05 and still waiting for our food. Family is upset, wife is annoyed and I'm ready to walk out, but i waited this long. At this point, McDonald's may be a better option.
Very upsetting. 1 1/2 of waiting, someone came out ti tell us there is 2 tables in front of us to get their orders. Made reservations for 6 it will be almost 9 before we get our food! Kids still have to shower before bed. Our night was planned out, but now completely screwed up! Im more than upset, now I'm pissed. 8:45 we finally got our meal, fish was mushy, burgers overcooked, linguine was watery. Overall, a completely ruined night, waste of time and my money. UPDATE: It is now the 15th, not one soul has reached out to me from bonefish grill, like promised, to talk to me and try and make things right. I guess that's how they treat customers. We couldn't read the specials menu (one sheet of paper) because it didn't fully print on both the left AND right margins. Had to ask the server what it says. When I asked a server about it, he said there was a problem with the printer and it's been that way for some time and that the owner is too cheap to have it fixed or t have someone print readable ones.
The music is horrible (like boy band pop, lots of auto-tuning), completely out of step with the atmosphere of this restaurant. It's also too loud, to the point that it's hard to have a discussion. I know the music selection is piped in by corporate but the location chooses the volume level. Talked to the owner at our table about it. He was a jerk, taLking to us condescendingly. He says he hasn't ever gotten any complaints. I told him many people have complained on the Internet. He said he doesn't read those reviews. No offer to turn it down. No apologies. He basically said if we didn't like it, don't come here. We never will again.
I've been to other locations, and they're not like this. Stay away from this one. The owner clearly cares little for his customers. We will not be back.

We have been frequent customers at bonefish for years. Recently we have noticed a change in the quality and food. A group of us dined in for a fish fry and bang bang shrimp Friday. The bang bang shrimp sauce was not the same. One batch was okay but the other was bland. Both were overcooked and one batch had several shrimp with tails still on….yuck! Very off putting. The fish fry came out looking beautiful but was super breaded (like it was breaded multiple times) the inside layer of breading was soggy and gross. The fries were still crunchy. Overall super disappointing!! Especially for the price point.

It was our first time at Bone Fish Grill. The food was amazing. We ordered the Chilean sea bass, pork chop, and grilled chicken with mac & cheese. My husband and son don't eat seafood so there were great substitutions for them. We substituted the Bang Bang Shrimp for chicken and we loved it. December 31, 2024 we had a 6:15 pm reservation at Bonefish Grill at Brookfield Wisconsin. At 6:30 pm hostess took us to a table. We sat there for ten minutes before wait staff approached us. So we are going to order our food now. I said I'll have the lobster stuffed shrimp. She said sorry we're all sold out. So I ordered the Mahi Mahi & shrimp, green beans & fries. My husband ordered Mahi Mahi & shrimp, fries & garlic mashed. Seventy five minutes later we get our food. They ran out of green beans, so they gave me broccoli, my fish was barely warm, fries were not hot. So I ate my shrimp, my husband shared his hot fish with me. The manager approached us, we told the him the issues. With my food. He asked if he could send another plate out. I said no, but to myself I'm thinking are you crazy we just waited 75 minutes for our food. So he said he would not charge us for my dinner. As we sat there for over two hours we noticed all of the to go orders going out of the kitchen. Maybe bonefish grill should not cater to the to go's versus the patrons who were actually there on New Years Eve. It will be a very long time before we even think of going back there.

Christmas eve dinner was disappointing.. Bang bang shrimp (one of our favorites) had no BANG!! What happened?? It wasn't crispy and lacked the proper punch. The special menu Lobster Bisque was sour. Too much sherry. Cod Imperial had an off taste. The crabcakes, however, were perfect. Remoulade was good. This was not a stellar night for this location, as we've been dining here for years.

I can't say enough about our evening out with friends! Our waitress was very attentive even though very busy that evening. Everything was prepared as described in the menu. My selection was the rainbow trout, rice, and vegetables. All were delicious and prepared well. My husband enjoyed the surf and turf. He loved both and said his lobster was excellent. We found the restaurant at a level of good + in the noise area since my husband has a hearing aid and is sometimes bothered by excessive noise. We will be back!

The food was good except for the cold mashed potatoes. The server did bring out a 2nd bowl of hot potatoes. The potatoes were blah. They were instant served plain without butter.
We don't care for pesto with our bread. Would have been nice to have butter at the table. No salads either. I had cod. No lemon slice with the fish. No au jus was served with my husband's filet mignon. These "lttle extras" would have been nice to go along the meal. The cod was delicious and cooked perfectly
It was new years eve. The place was crowded. We had reservations and were seated immediately. However, we had to wait an hour for our meal. Wait staff was courteous and friendly.

I'm not sure what's the problem with BFG in Wisconsin, but this is the 2nd location I've been to, the other in Madison, and I have had food quality issues. Traveling I have always chose BFG for the salmon menu options, but lately, it has been quite disappointing. No one expects food to come out cold and vegetables stale, over cooked and rubbery, but that's exactly what I was served. The salmon was hot and enjoyable, but the sides not so much. The waiter was very apologetic and adjusted bill. I appreciate his commitment to making things right, but let's fix the issues.

We have been here many times for drinks and apps, and always enjoyed what we ordered. We had our anniversary dinner there last night, everything was amazing. However I was with a group of 10 and shared some lobster tails and snow crab with some others which ended up being dry and tough. This place should stop serving steaks. On my last visit a couple of nights ago, my steak was way too done. I tried to give my entire plate back, the waitress insisted on only taking the steak back. That's not proper food safety. Also, what was I supposed to do? Eat the rest of my food and then eat a steak by itself. The manager later came to my table, as they do when food is sent back. After he asked about the food, he didn't apologize until walking away, that's terrible hospitality. The visit prior, maybe a week before, my steak wasn't done enough. It may seem as if I'm never satisfied but no, I am a steak eater and know that a medium steak should have a warm, pink center. I love Bonefish but it may be awhile before I visit again.

Omg! (AAWWSSOOMMEE) He came and greeted everyone who came through the door! Personally brought everyone's plate, So very nice and kind. As well as our server! We didn't have a chance to need anything, she kept everything coming. I took notice that Everyone in the kitchen had on gloves! And the food! 😋 omg the food. YALL! This is one place I'm so happy I got to experience!

I'll start with.....an amazing bartender. Very friendly and making great drinks. Hostess was less than friendly. Waitress was ok but very absent minded. My soup came out with a black hair sticking out. Our waitress was no where to be found. Finally another person in our party went to find her. She came over and said I heard there are some yuckys in your soup. No apologies. Said she would get a new one. My opinion.....that is an automatic visit from the manager. Nope. No apologies at all. Soup came out about same time as my food. And maybe you at least comp that meal. Nope. Handled poorly in my opinion. Food was ok. Nothing great. Drinks....are way over priced in my opinion. Don't see a need to go back.

Perfection, as always! I had the Chilean Sea Bass, Jasmine Rice, with steamed broccoli and we had the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer for the table. All were delicious. My friends raved about their meals, the Tempura Crunch Sashimi Tuna and the Bonefish House Salad with Shrimp.

Used to be our go to place for celebrations. Went recently on our anniversary and it was just not the same. Plates weren’t cleared between courses. Some never. Tuna sashimi was no where near as good. Knife cuts off, much smaller portion and not bright red tuna. Picture on your web page is what it should have looked like, color, annd portion size . Our entrees were ok, mine lacked flavor, had to ask for lemon to help it. I had Parmesan crusted trout with artichokes. There was one artichoke. It was always my go to order. My husband had a special with scallops. Cooked well but lacking flavor.
Very disappointed overall, always had great food and exceptional service. Not many people there either, used to be crowded

Spoke with Management in advance hoping they can accommodate a large party. Definitely wasn't pleased with the service or the quality of the food. Several dishes had to be sent back. Due to being undercooked there was a fly in my auntie salad. The birthday girl salmon was completely undercooked. dishes were forgot to be brought out. Management or staff didn't seem to have any concern about our dining experience even though it was brought to their knowledge all the concerns we had about the food. Don't know if I return, you would think a place that's more of a upscale dining will have better service and quality of food. I've been to this place before but this time just wasn't a great experience.

Tables were appropriately distanced for safety.
Food was delicious!
We were there with our family of five, and each got a different dessert... not a bad choice amongst the selections.
My teenage kids asked for crayons, and they brought them so we could have fun while waiting.

Ordered carryout online. Parked in the carry out pick up spot. Per instruction waiting for text acknowledgement. After 15 minutes beyond pickup time, walked in to find our dinner sitting on a table. The place was practically dead. Totally miffed as to why no text or why someone would not look out the window or call the cell phone number that had been entered. Then to get home to find out that our order was screwed up. After talking to the manager that could really careless as to what our experience was or how things got screwed up, or to listen to what have may been wrong to correct, the conversation was over. Totally made sense why the bar was not overly busying nor was the dinning room area. For the price of our meals, the service we received, long time if ever before we go back. Sad this is the way it is!!

Came in on June 26th For the 4 course meal with Bourbon pairing. The energy of the place is amazing, very nice crowd. The hostess was very nice and we were seated quickly.

The first pairing was a cocktail with scallops. Those were pretty good with the crostini My wife had the creamy creole pasta which was very good as was the salmon. The bread and oil were so good, probably the best complimentary bread in the restaurant game. Next came the shrimp with coconut risotto which was very good. First time ever having risotto and it was excellent. The Brussel sprouts were so good with the nuts and sweet glaze. The old fashioned was pretty good a nice sweetness that made it very enjoyable. Next up was the miso halibut. The potatoes were really good but the halibut was a little too sweet and the spinach was a little mushy. Last but not least, the cheesecake. That was amazing. But cheesecake is always good. Overall this was a very good turn out. I only wished it didn't take as long. But I'll definitely be back for the next pairing combo.

An eternal disappointment with the bone-fish grill chain. They were bad in Miami , and they are bad here. Attended a friend's gathering for her birthday this week during happy hour, the middle age guy at the bar was really nice and on top of his job! Our party consisted of around 12 folks and I don't know if it was overwhelming for one of the waitresses, but it's like she just outright refused to be helpful and was just nasty. I gave 3 stars for service because the other young lady was polar opposite and just the poster child for great customer service.
Now let's talk food, I got the ceviche and it was horrible. The fish and shrimp taste like it was cooked and over cooked with that! It was very chewy, not fresh tasting at all. I got a mocktail and only drank 1/2 of that, lacked flavor. Some others complained about the food but most enjoyed it, most were drinking alcohol as well.....I'm just saying! Lol
