Here for family activity and couldn't wait to come to Bone Fish Grill for Bang Bang Shrimp!! In addition, ate some lovely butter fish. The relaxing and beautiful atmosphere is always enjoyed , with the family beautiful table setting gs and lighting.
We had a wonderful waiter, Zay, who was very attentive and showed the right amount of decorum and individuality. He was tastefully friendly yet comfortable with his guests. Enjoyed his service.

Place is nice but it's a 3,5 for a reason my pasta was so runny and they did nothing to remedy runny 🦐bay scallops and shrimp pasta.
Staff was nice but seemed more interested in ignoring the fact that the food 🥑 wasn't good staff should be more observant of food if quality 🚫 is not up to par when customer says so. nice people tho. While not really busy on Sundays the adage that should be adopted i sthat faithful in what is least faithful in much . I hope management can understand thank you all

Total disappointment. We rented a private room and had a four course dinner planned. They brought appetizers with no serving utensils for the potstickers or the sauces. When asked for some, they brought plastic. The salads came while we were still eating the appetizers. Drink orders weren’t even taken or delivered until the salad. Not only was it rushed, but the room also had flies. Disgusting. There is no bread service. When food and drinks did arrive, the servers would deliver food and drinks over the guests rather than walking around the other side of the table. They had no idea who ordered what, so you’re constantly interrupted by telling them which salad, drink and entree everyone had. Then, they would clear plates in the room. So, while you’re trying to have conversation, you’re accompanied by the sound of forks scraping plates and the sight of stacked dirty dishes. You conclude dinner with a cheap cheesecake topped with Hershey’s syrup. At $100 per person, this was underwhelming to say the least.

This is one of the few restaurants I've been to in the last 5yrs that I believe deserves 5stars! Went for our anniversary. The sweet little waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating. The waitress and chef even brought out complimentary champagne to help us celebrate our day along with a card and gift card for our next visit! The seafood was reasonably priced and very yummy. The feel of the place is cool, elegant and laid-back somehow all at the same time. Definitely recommend!

I visited the restaurant about 2 weeks ago. I had the shrimp and scallops, which was good. My broccoli was overcooked and I wasn't served any bread, because "you didn't ask for any."
I have to say that the greeters were more attentive than my server. I needed a few minutes to decide what I wanted as I'd never been there before and I had to ask one of the greeters if he'd ask the server to come back and take my order.
I left feeling slighted, maybe because I was the only black woman in the restaurant at the time.

We love coming to Bonefish Grill. Before they moved here, we went to the Bonefish in Florida. We love so many of the dishes, including the twin lobster tails, chicken marsala, bang bang shrimp, coleslaw, brussels sprouts, the specials, etc. We love to sit on the covered porch in warm weather, and we particularly like Cam, our favorite Server. She always remembers us and goes out of her way to make things comfortable for us. We always have a pleasant experience and look forward to dining there.

Wow, where do I start. My husband and I were celebrating our fifth anniversary. We didn't know where we wanted to go and ended up at the Bonefish Grill. In Madison, Wisconsin, the service was excellent. Our hostess was great and the food was excellent, even the service manager Katrina. SHE came over and made sure we were okay

The service manager blessed us with complimentary champagne and a complementary gift card to return back.

This was the second time going to this restaurant on the west side of Madison. Our first servicer/visit was the reason we came back. She was engaging, offered suggestions, told us about the free bread, and let us sample several sauces. This time was not a repeat. Our server offered suggestions on some of his favorites. We ordered an appetizer, side salad and main entrée. My Caesar salad arrived first with limited dressing. Next came the main dish.
Not too long after came our appetizer. Order of things like app, salad, main entrée? By then I remembered about the bread. Our waiter said he could get us some if we still wanted it. I'm looking at food we're already going to take home and feeling like asking for the bread is pigish- thank you our waier. Our dip (imperial dip) came with chips. Apparently it was the end of the bag. Mostly crumbs with about four good size ones. I sat 1/3 of my meal without water. Upon getting ready to leave our waiter offered water before we left on the road. We were the only people at the bar. The tables were very limited. So we had a waiter who could have corrected several of the things if asked"if we wanted"-bread, decent chips, water. Since nothing was done while there, my husband and I have decided that Madison has too many restaurants that care about patrons. My only othe regret is not taking a picture of the "chip" crumbs.

I was Traveling for work and had a seafood itch. It's Sunday, so brunch is an option. Everything looked so good I had a hard time choosing. Shocked at the disaster of a meal we had. The server was pleasant, but service was a bit slow, which was surprising based on how many tables were seated. Ordered the Bourbon salmon and my partner had Bourbon chicken. The salmon was swimming in a sauce that had an overwhelming taste of raw whiskey. It burned going down. Very unpleasant. The server offered me something else so I asked for simply grilled salmon. That meal came out a good 25 mins later. My partner was already finished with his meal. This next salmon was somehow burnt on the outside, but raw in the middle and the potatoes were so overcooked my fork couldn't cut through it, it just squished it. I moved the plate to the side. The manager came to speak to us and apologized offered to make me a 3rd meal. By this time we were over it and didn't want to sit there any longer. My partner asked for his dessert that comes with his meal to go. You'd think they would maybe throw in an extra for me as a sorry, but they didn't. We wasted $75 on a meal basically. Will not be returning.

(2023 review I never posted and wrote in July of 23) Bombastic seasonal menu where there was the cedar plank salmon. I think I had the sea bass that second time I came. We had a flourless brownie or such for dessert. The salmon came with cherries and the fruit and fish combination was truly exquisite. I was told the sea bass is like their specialty but my second visit was not as potent and moving as the first. This was a spring menu special if I remember correctly. So this is a bit delayed of a review. Brownie was rich but didn’t adore it so profoundly. I think there were nuts that I was like nahhhhh

I've been to several BFG state locations throughout my travels. It's a 1st pick because the salmon, rice, and asparagus are some of my favorites on the menu. Service and food quality is always 10/10. This location is a work in progress, understandably going through staffing changes. I met with the manager Kevin after receiving below quality food for doordash delivery. I respect his commitment to customer satisfaction, offering me dine in service. He was very approachable and apologetic. Life happens, and it depends on how it's dealt with leaves a lasting impression. I wish him luck in turning the restaurant around in a positive direction.

We have eaten here 3 times before and always had great service and food. Tonight was an off night. Our steaks were over cooked and we realized my wife had steak mine and vice versa. While the service was great, the food was awful. I ordered lobster tails and they were cold, undercooked and gray. The waiter was apologetic and got me new lobster tails, and while these were cooked they had a very off smell and were chewy. This is consistent with lobster that is old and should not be served. I also ordered bacon Mac and that was lukewarm at best but was still not good. My dad's steak was flavorless and his shrimp were average. The salad dressing with the side salads were not good either.

Overall there's some quality control issues at this restaurant and I don't feel comfortable eating here again.

We love going to bonefish grill for a quick post meeting meal. I always get the Bang Bang Shrimp and can say it's large enough for two or very filling for one. Excellent inside, always kept at a comfortable temperature. I enjoy eating outside when the weather is right.
The servers are all very attentive, kind and seem to be having a good time working here which is important.
I bring lots of friends here, all have been satisfied with any drinks or food they've ordered.

We ate here after I had hiked about 15 miles on the Ice Age Trail. Atmosphere was okay but a bit casual considering the prices. We had a new waiter who made multiple errors (such as not bringing a requested drink, giving me a side which I had not requested, and failing to remove our menus). We had the mahi-mahi/shrimp combo which I enjoyed more than my wife. I really enjoyed the special add-on option of adding some crab. Our mussels were okay but not great. This review is based on the online ordering experience - not the dine-in experience.

Ordered the food fine - website appears to work and texts me.

Signs at the drive-up spots have a message that refers to a message I did not get and it was well past the estimated time. So, I go in where they tell me that the sides for the kids are not available: french fries. Yes, they ran out of french fries. The alternatives I was given _while my food has been sitting and waiting_ is mashed potatoes, and broccoli, maybe something else. I was missing 2 sides and we already had side of mashed potatoes. so 2 more is a bit much. One we could handle, for the other, I asked if I could instead have a mini mac and cheese. Nope. that is not a side.

in the conversation with the staff at the hostess desk - they appear to not comprehend why this "bait and switch" is an issue. And they claim they have no control over the web site ordering, nor the signs in the drive-up spots, or that the texting system works (note that I did receive at least one text by this point) ?! Even though I was just now learning that my childrens' (unfortunately) favorite part of the meal is no longer happening, their next favorite (mac n cheese) is not an exception they can make. Again, not seeing how dropping this information at the LATEST possible moment could be possibly be seen as a problem.

ultimately, I end up with a ton of mashed potatoes and I leave because now I am headed across the street to Culvers to get fries (again, their favorite part).... where while i am standing in line waiting for the fries to cook - I get a text message that my order is ready at Bonefish and to reply with my spot number when I get there.

what an absolute mess.

on a good note, the food was good. But the experience and the lack of ownership cannot be ignored. This has moved down the list of places to consider.

I don't know who the Cook was but I had grilled chicken and shrimp with mashed potatoes.
The chicken was so overcooked that I couldn't even cut it... Shrimp was okay but they served no sauce for chicken or shrimp.. just dry overcooked meat with a small scoop of potatoes.. it was a very bad expensive meal.. I'll never go back.

A lot of the menu was missing, making ordering a joke as we were repeatedly told, "we're out of that." Service was incredibly slow, with some of our party's meals arriving 20 minutes after others. When it did arrive, food was dry, cold, and poorly-prepared. Our server was nice. Definitely not what I'd expect for $50+ a person.

I can only hope that the reason that this was such a bad experience was it was mother’s day but even McDonald’s would have been more prepared. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. We had a party of 6 with reservations, we got there right on time. All I can describe it is chaos, orders were missed, our server was always busy (which we don’t blame our experience all on him), we had a wait time of over 2 hours and some of us still didn’t get our food at the end. Ultimately we had to cancel half of our order.

The worst part after this was after experiencing this they gave us this disgusting, and i mean abhorrent “baked mac and cheese”, I wish I had taken a picture of it but i think that I was too shocked. I could only describe it as pasta with a light topping of mystery sauce on it.

The only saving grace of this restaurant is their appetizers, which I am convinced is only because when you come here that’s the only meal you’ll be able to eat within your time there.

We had reservations set for 7 ppl. Our waitress was subpar, she was okay but she wasn’t spectacular. We felt often neglected majority of the time. Our food came out completely messed up. Steak not cooked to our liking, Cole slaw forgotten, and missing food that came out 25 minutes later after everyone had ate, it was my child’s food so he was soooo over it!

Waiter did notice the missing food and got that fixed right away but by the time it came out my child didn’t have any desire to eat it. Silverware missing for half the table. No sauces or anything offered. Waitress didn’t even ask if the food was okay. Spent 15 min trying to track our waitress. Called the manager over, couldn’t offer a discount but just desserts that weren’t that good. The brownie was not a fudge brownie it was a straight mushy mess! After tipping the waiter generously, my family and I will not return. My kid doesn’t want to come back at all.

The mahi mahi and shrimp were amazing. The calamari, mashed potatoes, fries, and fresh bread were also very good. The service was fast and very kind. I highly recommend the Bonefish Grill.

I ordered curbside. Staff was friendly & polite. Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos were delish. Plentiful & fresh. Slaw tasty. Bread & pesto always yummy. My only carryout suggestion would be to include a small container of the parmesan cheese served with the bread & oil when dining in. I had 2 meals out of mine & I love food!

Food was great, no complaints. The smokey old fashion was not a Wisconsin old fashion and was undrinkable. The waiter was bad. We were seated for 10 minutes before he came by. He took our drink and food order, then he didn't stop by our table until 15 minutes after we had completed eating. He would walk by, but it seemed he was avoiding eye contact. If it wasn't for the people who brought out our food, we would have never gotten another drink.

Tried Bonefish for the first time and it was so worth it! The chimichurri steak was so good, I wanted to cry but it was seasoned so perfectly, I knew my tears would only throw it off. We had Cam for our table and she was such a joy to talk to and made great recommendations! Definitely coming back.

Cam was such a wonderful server, all smiles, very personable, made great recommendations, and so sweet in every way. She even showed us photos of her dogs when I told her I was a dog groomer, and she noticed the logo on my shirt and we talked about our shared love of watching anime. Cam treated us like family that she’s known for many years. And the food was absolutely delicious—no complaints!

Our waiter, I believe his name was Reid, was absolutely phenomenal! I have a pretty severe dairy allergy and he was on top of checking that everything I ordered was safe. Also the kitchen/bar manager(I’m not entirely sure of his position?) was very attentive and helpful when it came to the safety of my food!

My husband and I came in on a Friday night. Promptly greeted by the hostess and sat in the bar area as requested. Annie our server and Kaden her assistant were attentive. We had the couples special (salad, entree and sides of choice with a dessert). Everything was served hot and tasted great. The drink presentation of the smoked old fashioned was impressive. We will be back!

Cam with her knowledge and expertise in advising us was an amazing server.
Austin brought over the wine and checked on us making the atmosphere very inviting and homey everything was brought out in a very timely manner. The whole meal was presented in a very fashionable way.
Host--Kiana is sparky when you come in and enter with a great attitude. I highly recommend Bonefish to anyone wondering where to bring their dates or family.
