Our order consisted of Wood-Fyred Mixed Grille, Prime Sirloin Steak with Asparagus, Wagyu Burger and Fried Fish Tacos. Everything was excellent and prepared correctly. My wife and I shared the Wood-Fyred Mixed Grille and they offered to split it into two plates for us. Serving size was still great! The ribs in the mixed grille were tender and had a wonderful BBQ sauce! We had the cheese curds for our appetizer and they were definitely up to Wisconsin standards!

Ordered Thai chicken flatbread for pickup and I would say, I was very disappointed with the food quality. The flatbread was cold upon arrival (never received a call nor email that order was ready for pickup and I had to call at 11:50 AM to inquire about order). The veggies, not fresh and very little was put on the flatbread instead of separated to another bowl (as I’ve seen from other restaurants like Eno Vino). The flatbread was in a big pizza box (weird, never had that) but I didn’t mind. The flatbread did not exceed my expectations, on the contrary, it was thin, dry and cold. As a first time customer, not sure if I would ever return. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. A waste of $24. The Thai chicken flatbread I got on Friday 05/02 looks nothing like the one in the picture I saw prior to ordering it.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.! I ended up checking out Liberty Station and ate my money’s worth. Eno Vino (downtown location) is also a great spot, as well as The Statehouse.

Yikes. My husband and I chose to come here for our 10 year anniversary. The photos and menu looked great. The taste? Not so much.
My husband and I are foodies and are always trying new places. At least once a week. Super disappointed. The crab cakes were the highlight. But I would give those a 7/10. The lamb was okay but not nearly enough food for $45. The trio sounded good, a taste of different things, but the chicken was pink, the steak was chewy, even the steak knife couldn’t cut it. The ribs were good other than the constant shards of bone that you stumble upon when chewing. The mashed potato’s were good! But the green beans were way overcooked and floppy.
In the reservation, I mentioned it being our 10 year anniversary but the waiter didn’t acknowledge it. I ended up telling him and he just said “okay”. WOW! Thanks?
Didn’t even mention dessert. I was looking forward to the parfaits after seeing the many photos of them.

Don’t go. If you want steak, go to Ruth’s Chris. If you want BBQ go to liberty station down the street.

Oh man where to begin…We were a table of 8. Bench seats were slid together and super uneven/uncomfortable. 1st encounter with our server his pants were so low we could see his undies. One person in the group ordered 2 appetizers for the table, they were set in front of him and we had to ask for plates for the table. When the server took our orders he was rushed and short with us. Server only asked 1 time if we wanted drinks. We were celebrating a birthday, server brought the bday girl dessert and did not ask the rest of the table if they wanted to see the dessert options. Talk about awkward, bday girl sat there and ate her dessert alone so we had to ask for spoons so we could all share it, thankfully we were all family imagine if she would have been with co-workers. Awkward. The food was meh at best and the service was just awful, maybe it was because gratuity is automatic with a party of 8, but come on, it was bad. Never again.

Decided on a whim to come to dinner here this evening after many years of enjoying their signature bloody mary. I CANNOT believe it took me this long to actually dine here! The drinks were good, but I was very much stuck on a few items on their menu; steak, chicken and ribs were amongst them. It was at this time my genius girlfriend pointed to the mixed grille. Whoever on staff thought of combining those three proteins on a dish together deserves much praise! Absolutely genius. All three of those items were delectable. The steak, albeit chewy (pretty common for the cut) was delicious and cooked perfectly 👌🏽
The chicken.... Oh. My. God. The star. Juicy, smoky, tender. THE best rotisserie chicken I've had the pleasure of enjoying. The ribs were my girlfriend's favorite of the three, meat just fell off the bone.
The ONLY qualm would be the bartender dropping off the check prematurely. I still ordered another drink after it was dropped off. Have never truly been a fan of check drops before requesting for it as the experience now feels rushed. Other than that terrific night out!

I got their old fashion drink and crab cake appetizer during happy hour. Went there for a nice dinner last night with a friend. The dinner he ordered wasn't the one that showed up but the waitress, Lindsey B went out of her way to make sure it was replaced with what he did order. That second steak was way overcooked (ordered "blue", came out medium well) and was sent back. Third steak was finally cooked as ordered.
Through this all, the waitress stayed focus on trying to make it right. She was extremely good at her job.
However...
the manager delivered the final steak himself--and I'm not kidding--DROPPED the plate on the table ON PURPOSE, slopping juices in the process and then quickly making an exit, clearly irrate at having to replace three steaks. No words exchanged, no apology, just stormed off. We both found his actions extremely rude and will support other restaurants from now on.
The ambience is nice. We were surprised a bit at the quality of chairs at the tables, of all things. Very rickety and worn. We had to swap out our chairs with others at nearby tables to find two that either didn't sway badly or didn't have such a divot in the center, making it uncomfortable to sit at. Time to upgrade to better chairs, among other things, Bonfyre!

The menu here is amazing. Full of flavor and variety. I’ve had probably 10 dishes and would reorder every single one. Drinks are very nice as well. Standouts are the mussels in coconut curry broth, the prosciutto and fig flat bread and the mango martini. Drinks were excellent, had a couple old fashions, it was great. Atmosphere was great except there were these annoying little flys hovering around.

The food tasted great, but my 16oz bone in ribeye was no way 16oz it was maybe 9oz. It was only 1/2" thick. For $50 I expected the full 16oz. . . Maybe I am mistaken, but I think 16oz ribeyes are 1" thick. I think this place is good, but there are a lot of options in this price range. Maybe that is why it was mostly empty on a Friday.

Tried this place for the first time a few days ago and was not disappointed! Warm, semi-fancy atmosphere, solid menu, and excellent appetizers. We didn't have entrees, so I can't comment on specifics, but the apps we had (quesadillas, pot roast sliders) were very good.
Special mention to our server Emily, who was OUTSTANDING! She is that very rare breed of server who can be super attentive without being intrusive. She was beyond pleasant and took fantastic care of us. I actually spoke to the manager on duty at the time about how great she was. Sit in her section and tip her well; she's worth it!

The best fried Calamari I have ever had was in Hawaii. I never had Calamari like that anywhere else UNTILL... I had it at Bonfyre last wednesday. Literally Hawaii and Bonfyre in Madison Wisconsin serve fried Calamari that is so grossly better than everywhere else that I can hardly stand it. You've probably never had it this good before. I recently picked up a to-go order and when I arrived the 2 ladies at the front didn’t acknowledge me. Instead the just kept chatting as if I wasn’t there. After several seconds I spoke and told them I was there to pick up my order and they asked if I had paid for it. It’s literally not possible to place a to go order there online without paying so I was confused. Then they handed me my order in just the box it came it without a carry out bag or anything. I do not recommend this place. I was snubbed upon entrance. And then I wanted to place it to go order and the bartender ignored me. I get the feeling that this is a place where you're expected to wear a suit and tie upon entering. I was just wearing my casual everyday clothes. I totally felt judged and looked down upon.

Went for a Galentine's day lunch. Our server was amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food though...what are we paying for here? Cheese curds were very greasy. My virgin Moscow Mule tasted like straight lime juice. Just not the same quality I remember from my last dining experience.

Amazing coconut curry mussels, lamb chops, and mashed potatoes, veggies. Atmosphere is lovely. Service was great. Yummy mojitos. Can’t wait to come back and try more.

Sea bass special was phenomenal. Our server Brian was also excellent as always! And there’s always room for a mini parfait—the perfect way to finish off a meal here. ❤️
