If you are in the Dells area, don't have kids with you, and are looking for the perfect bar ( dare I say dive bar/relaxed small town bar vibe) this is the bar for you. Most bars in the area are just too family oriented, too upscale/posh, and (money wise) trying to take every dollar that they can from you. This bar is NOT those bars! If you like deep/rich/spicy bloody marys, this is the bar for you. If you are a smoker, they have a large back deck that accommodates very nicely. I am older, so I (we) go to the dells to just get away from home and unwind. This bar is perfect for individuals like me (couples like us). If you go and agree with anything/or all i said.. then please leave a positive review for them.. If this fine establishment ever closed.. it would truly break my heart!!

From the second you walk in, you are immediately met with negative energy from the bartender and costumers. Without even bothering to greet you, the bartender asks for your id in a very rude manner. Anyone under 21 isn’t allowed to sit at the bar, BUT can sit on a stool less than 1 foot away from the bar. Don’t bother wasting your time or money on this business.

Great little hidden gem in plain sight. Food was wonderful, the enclosed dog friendly patio was nice. Lots of gorgeous potted plants to enjoy on the patio. Up in the Dells for a short visit with my wife of 36 years (on 5/20). Went to Boomtown because it was nearby and we wanted a sandwich and some cocktails. Played some music, had curds and a brisket sandwich, wife had a burger. Overall, nice experience, casual joint where you can have a shot and sing and it doesn’t draw evil looks from snobby patrons. Came here in the morning with my family and the bartenders were immediately rude when we walked in and got annoyed when we ordered Bloody Mary’s. I accidentally knocked over my drink before even taking a sip and was super embarrassed & apologetic. The bartender rolled her eyes and made me a new one, and then charged me for both drinks. When we asked about it on the bill she goes, “well I didn’t spill the drink.” I bartended for 5 years and have never once charged a customer who accidentally spilled something. That’s just terrible customer service. On top of that, the nachos were cold and absolutely disgusting. Do better. We will not be coming back.

we went there as a group of four. old female bartender wanted us to show our id’s but didn’t accept one of our form of identification card even if it has the dob on it (only one of us was drinking alcohol and she already showed her id when she bought that) she wanted us to leave in the rudest way. she yelled at us when we were really calm (we couldn’t even understand what was happening) i wish we could record that moment but when we sat there a little more time to search the rules she came and threw out all of our drinks to the garbage and yelled at us again. she was so angry for no reason at all. they didn’t even make a refund. the worst place i’ve ever been in my life. worst service. worst employee. she was so RACIST and DISRESPECTFUL. Well 21 yr Old daughter w federal ID, in the army, was refused a drink because I guess it's the law in the dells. Kinda thought a legal federal id card would be ok. Guess the "Boom Town " a bar in Wisconsin dells Wi. Does. "NOT" Support the US Armed forces. Too bad. There Is a bunch of them.

I had a Bloody Mary that was good not excellent but good. I had the brisket nachos that were recommended by the bartender as being excellent, and they were terrible. More fat than meat. Small portion of chips and not much meat for $16. When I told the bartender about my displeasure she said that is how it is supposed to be. Avoid the nachos.

Older lady with the black teeth bartending doesn’t like anyone who’s not a local and will look at your valid id and tell you it’s not valid. Careful with this place. If the bartenders teeth are black with crusty nails I doubt they care much hygiene.

Been to Wisconsin Dells numerous times. But we've always frequented the more well-known establishments for meals. This time we just felt like doing something different....and we are sooooo glad we did. Boomtown is DEFINITELY different....in a GREAT way. When we walked in, my wife and I weren't really sure this was a good choice, but we decided to stick it out...and boy was it worth it. I had a burger topped with brisket. My original intent was to just remove the brisket and eat it separately. But I took one bite and realized that I was holding one of the best burgers I'd ever had. It was simply superb! My wife practically swallowed her fish tacos. It may not look like much....but it may be one of the best places to eat in the Dells!
