We tried their Mexican Monday, I had the loaded nachos & the wife had the chimichanga platter. Portions are on the large side and my nachos came with home-cooked Shredded beef, however both orders were very bland. In all fairness they do have a good fish fry and their Reuben sandwich with slow cooked, thick, sliced corn beef does sound promising.

There are lots of fish options on Friday, and I chose the fried cod. The batter was unique to this area imho. It reminded me of the batter used for southern fried catfish. It was crispy and flavorful and not greasy. The fish itself was tender, flaky, and juicy. One of the best fish frys I’ve had in the area. We loved the bread and the potato salad. The coleslaw was fresh and homemade. While I think many people would love it, we weren’t big fans. We felt the same about the potato pancakes. Fresh and homemade but not to our taste.

We will definitely return to enjoy one of the best fish fries we’ve found.

The baked cod is sooo tasty. It’s moist, and flavorful, and not dried out. Even though it’s all you can eat for baked cod, it’s made to order so it’s not sitting around. Vika our server was awesome. She was kind and friendly to our 10 month old and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. We cant wait to try the rest of the menu!

First time visit. 8/17/2025. Walked in and there was a really great band playing. I do read reviews before trying a new place but am not one to not try it for myself. We had wings, ribs, and green beans everything was GREAT! We sat at a table and had an awesome server but I didn't catch her name I wish I had because she was awesome. Highly recommend.

My husband and I, upon finding ourselves in the Nashotah area once again while indulging in our retirement thrifting obsession, decided to try another new place for lunch. Hence, we found ourselves at Boozhag's, where we were pleasantly surprised to discover a robust mid-week lunch crowd. It may have been the fact that it was Wing Wednesday, featuring 60 cent wings with a variety of sauces and dry rubs to choose from. It may have been the friendly neighborhood tavern vibe - spacious yet small enough to feel cozy and homey. It may have been the myriad of TVs to watch (enough, but not so many as to be distracting), the attentive and amiable service (Christine had her hands full taking care of every table on her own, and she ROCKED IT!) - whatever it is that contributes to its obvious popularity, we will be back to experience it again! My husband ordered a Bloody Mary, requesting the spicy variety, and said the level of zestiness was perfect. We shared a basket of breaded and fried dill pickle chips, which arrived nice and hot with a side of ranch dressing. For our entree, we opted for 6 Cajun dry-rubbed wings and 6 BBQ sauced wings. We said oh, yes to blue cheese and ranch dressing, along with celery, as accompaniments. The wings were hot and the flavors were a little on the subtle side, but very good. Both flavors were divided evenly into flats and drums, which was perfect as I prefer the flats while hubby goes for drums. As I mentioned earlier in this review, we will definitely be back for lunch, or a refreshment stop, or maybe even breakfast one day if we can get
ourselves up and out the door early enough. We're eager to try some of the other tasty-sounding items from their varied menu!

Went there a couple weekends ago. Ordered a rail vodka screw and a Sapphire G & T. Bartender says "$24.50". I am like, no, we order these everywhere and there is no other bar in Wisconsin where these two drinks are $24.50. She gets attitude and tells me again that is what they cost.

We drank our drinks and left. The only places that charge that much for drinks in the area are top notch, fancy supper clubs or restaurants. Not bars.

Our family ate Thanksgiving dinner here and everything was absolutely phenomenal! They set up a super cute Thanksgiving themed table for our party, food was absolutely delicious (best Thanksgiving dinner I’ve had in years), and service was top notch! Our Club had dinner there tonight. All meals for 20 people were pre-ordered. We asked for dinner to be served at 7:15. By 7:30, the 6 Italian sausages were served. By 7:45 the 6 Philly Cheesesteaks came out. By 8:15 we gave up and asked to have the chicken Parmesan meals boxed to go. The waitress kept apologizing and said the kitchen messed up. She was beside herself. No one from management ever came out to talk to us. No apology from management or owners. No offer to discount $500 tab or in any way compensate for this horrible experience.
My club will never schedule there again and I certainly will never patronize this establishment again.

Picked up wings on Wednesday, was told that carry out is regular price, not the Wednesday Special Price of $0.75 per wing. So I place the order for 3 different flavors of wings at $15.00 per order, BBQ, Buffalo and Teriyaki, I was asked if we wanted dipping sauce and that it would be extra (of course)
When I got home and opened the wings up I was disgusted. Not only was there NO sauce on any of them but the teriyaki tasted rancid and was undercooked. This was my first time eating here since ownership changed and I was very disappointed!! Definitely not worth $50+

I was not impressed or happy with the bartender who waited on us. We used to stop here before it changed hands (Clubhouse) A lot has been done inside. We stopped in with 8 people, admittedly, it was busy, we patiently waited for our turn to order drinks at the bar, we had more cocktail orders than beers, bartender became frustrated 1/2 way through making drinks bitching about how busy he was and ended up pissing off those of our party who were placing the order. If you don't like your job or can't handle your job then find another...better yet, hire people who know how to treat customers with a friendly attitude and if they are too busy add an extra bartender to help them. Service was of the worst I've ever had. We would've had more accurate and pleasant service at most busy service counters. Dismal. Maybe she was drunk? Food was a little better.
Advice: Be polite. When guests order water, that doesn't mean that they don't tip well. Withholding ice is petty. When you clearly display your irritation to your guests, you have begun to fulfill your self-fulfilled prophecy that they may not tip you well (although we were more than generous for your way less-than-charming idea of table service).

Edit: Thank you for your reply and kind words. My family was there on Friday, 5/17/24. The reservation was for 5pm. We ordered food by 5:15. The reservation was for 8, but we ended up having 2 more. Our server (she never told us her name) was visibly irritated about the addition, and we felt pressured to order before my brother and his family arrived. They sat at a table next to ours and ordered by 5:30. Some of the orders were wrong, but we weren't checked on, so we just ate it as is.
Question: Is your credit card fee added for debit card transactions, or is it solely for credit cards? Thanks.

Finally tried this place on a rainy Thursday afternoon during a Badgers Big 10 tournament basketball game. Newly updated but still maintained the perfect dive bar atmosphere. The bathrooms were super clean. It looked clean and organized behind the bar. Food ingredients looked and tasted fresh. Hubby had the philly because he can't say no to cheese sauce, and I had the newer to the menu southwest wrap with crispy chicken which was HUGE and delicious. Homemade chips were super thin and crispy and not burnt tasting like some can often be. Tracy behind the bar gave us great service. We will be back!

My husband and I went to dinner last night, I had made reservations on their website and received a text to verify. When we walked in, the waitress said could take a seat anywhere and I stated "we have a reservation" and she said "we don't do that"???? (Bad start, right?) Well, started out that I asked what other "smoked meats" were available as is stated on website and menu-Saturday specials: Prime rib and other smoked meats. She said we don't do that??? (Getting worse) so we both got the prime rib. It came with choice of potato, soup or salad, so my husband got the salad and I got the french onion soup and she said would be an up charge and on bill was an additional $4.00??? The prime rib was sub par, best thing was potato. Meanwhile, in middle of dinner, big group of 8-10 were at bar and looking for a table, well behind us was a big open spot, but decided to put RIGHT NEXT to us!!! Very disruptive, rude and did not understand why. Unfortunately will not ever be coming back to this place again!!! Needs much fixing!!

My wife and I had dinner here on Saturday 12/9 with another couple and we all ordered the queen cut prime rib. We all ordered it medium rare. Three of us ordered the French onion soup and all three were luke warm at best. Then for the potatoes two ordered baked potatoes and two ordered tots. All entrees ended up coming with baked potatoes. When we brought this up to the waitress she said she would bring us out the tots. It took 15 minutes for the tots to come. We were almost finished by the time they came. The prime ribs that were ordered medium rare all came out medium to medium well and flavorless. We weren’t even considering sending them back but we did bring it to the waitresses attention and she really could have cared less. All she said was oh. Sorry.

All in all this was a very terrible experience and I can assure you we will not go back. There are too many other options available to even try them again.

Came here twice in the last 5 days while helping family move to the area the one day they had outdoor entertainment and were cooking outside so you had to go out to get your food and than choose to eat outside or in we choose inside. The second time we went for a late lunch and it was regular service inside. On the first trip we had burgers and half chickens with sides of Cole slaw and beans everyone agreed the chicken was excellent as were the sides the burgers were ok to some and a little under done to others but still good food particularly good was the feelings about the chicken. On the second stop we ordered cheese curds for an appitizer and 2 pizza's and 2 orders of chicken wings for 5 people. The cheesecurds were excellent that was everybody's opinion the 2 ladies who ordered the chicken wings said they were outstanding and the 2 cheese and Pepperoni pizza's which everyone tried were also excellent. It is an excellent sports bar with great food and great atmosphere. I cannot remember the name of the gentlemen who waited on us Wednesday but he was a gas and made the meal even more enjoyable I hope your lucky enough to have him wait on you.

We never had been here before. But had heard good things. We ordered a cod and bluegill fish fry for pickup. This was honestly darn good fish. Nothing heavily battered or breaded and a unique flavor. My dad got the potato pancakes and he said they were great. I would definitely go back and my parents will be trying the Tuesday special dinners. Oh and they post on the doors their feelings about masks, so you go in or not.

Update. We’ve been back many times. The cod was wonderful as always. The potato pancakes changed…not the same or as good?

I waited waaaaay too long to be served. There was almost no one in the place. The woman bartender was on her phone, then talking to another customer, until she finally thought she might wait on me. No one was welcoming or particularly friendly. I was there to meet someone, otherwise I'd never have darkened their doostep.
